Costera Brings Spanish Cuisine to Uptown - Eater New Orleans
"La Thai, the Prytania Street restaurant known for introducing Louisiana-inspired Thai cuisine to New Orleans, closed in December. Diana Chauvin-Gallé, its former chef and co-owner of the Uptown building along with her husband, maintains ownership of the space." - Clair Lorell
The service here is always great. The Thai coon is so good. So many different flavor profiles that come together to form a party in your mouth. Just wow! I had 2 different appetizers. The stuffed chicken wings are great although I didn't love the sauce that came with it and the dumplings were also really good. I used the dumplings sauce for my stuffed chicken wings. I'd definitely recommend this place.

A nice place for Thai-inspired dishes incorporating a local New Orleans flair. It’s pretty good, a bit pricey for the food but not for the area. It’s generally packed for lunch, so make sure to call in ahead of time. Very good dumplings!

Great ambience, awesome service, and amazing food. Start with any appetizer or soup, and you won't be disappointed. The Duck Delight dish is like no other... and add lump crab meat. You will want to try all their dishes. Be sure to ask about their specials that aren't oon the menu.

I have visited this location for lunch several times. It is quite a clean, delicious, and attentive spot if you get there for an early lunch before the rush. Their specials are a pretty good deal (yet still watch out for the slightly higher price point). Good spot for business or casual and they are quick with getting the food out to you.

What a gem! This is a great uptown comfortable place that prepares really great authentic innovated Thai dishes. The prices are very reasonable for what you get and it's hard not to notice the quality in the food. I cannot say enough great things about this place. They really have their act together and the food is always consistently excellent. Always willing to make dishes off the menu. Wonderful wine selection.

Upscale Thai restaurant owned by a local TV weatherman and his partner. The food is pretty good and the menu has a diversity of options. The cocktails are quite nice but a little bit pricey. It's occasion it is really convenient for the Uptown crowd which makes it fairly busy on weekend nights.

Unbelievably good food!! Truly! First time eating Thai food so didn't know what to expect. It was amazing!! I had several appetizers because they all sounded so good and wasn't disappointed. I had seared tuna, summer rolls, coconut shrimp, and a soup. Then I ordered Diana's filet!! Perfection. One bad thing is it's 4.5 hours away from my house and I was craving it again at 2 hours away while driving home. I predicted that so we brought home summer rolls and the tuna for the road. I would eat this for breakfast it's so good. Thank you Diana for introducing me to Thai in such a great way.

Been coming here for years. Never had a bad meal here. The hot and sour soup is different but it's the best I've ever had. So many good things. Variety of priced entrées. You won't regret eating here!
