I live out of town and it was my son's birthday and he wanted brick oven pizza. First of all I was trying to call the establishment because I had specific orders to add an additional side of Peta bread to the spinach dip but I kept getting a message that they were not receiving phone calls. Then I tried to place an online order and it got to the point to where it was requiring me to set up an account on their website so I did that but then it would not let me get past the submit button after I filled everything in. So I was required to download the app that I did not want to download. I placed an order and sent my friend to go pick it up. I ordered a large Double Trouble pepperoni pizza. I did not make any changes to the way that this pizza came Or was supposed to come which was regular pepperonis. It did not describe that it would come with cupped small pepperonis which tastes different from regular pepperonis. So imagine my surprise when these pizzas get home and there's cupped pepperoni's on this this pizza. It also did not have the shredded cheese spread out throughout the top of the pizza it was only in 2 places. I have attached screenshots of the pizza picture from the website and what it looks like and the other picture of the Double Trouble pizza that I received they look nothing alike not the same amount of cheese not the same type of pepperoni not the green basil type stuff that was supposed to be on the top. My son tasted it and said it was disgusting. But my other pizza I order came with regular pepperoni. The spinach dip that we ordered barely covered a little bit of the container. I will never order from here again I should have listened and gone by the previous reviews I was reading on how bad the food in the service was at the establishment. I can't even call them to speak to the manager about the problem because the phone number that is listed on the internet tells me that they are not accepting phone calls when I call it.

This place never quits! Had garlic Parmesan mixed with buffalo sauce for the wings and a medium deluxe with garlic Parmesan drizzle. Magic! Will definitely be back. (Sorry we couldn't wait to try a bite ....)

After waiting for a host, the menu was explained for the favorite items. My bacon chicken ranch pizza was really good. Not too much bread, with a crunch. Like a thin crust without the stomach bloating. Great pizza size, and flavor. Sweet tea, and drinks available, ensure a great time. Such a family friendly atmosphere, it was very peaceful. I've seen this before. I was checked on my 5 different employees... I've had an awesome time. I'll be back.

Everything was cooked perfectly! We tried 3 different pizzas and spicy sticks ( don't skip these, they are amazing!!!) The taco pizza was our favorite but they pizzas are all prepared with lots of flavor and amazing. We watched the staff as we waited for our order and they are more like a family. We got ours to go but will eat there next as the dinning area is pretty neat with TVs sports and lots of selections of draft beer!

Google
The pizza was really good we got a margarita authentic and a taco pizza. They were made in an old oven, which made them crispy. The margarita pizza was really tasty and everything blended together. But it needed a tad bit more sauce. The taco pizza was crispy and but was a little dry. It needed like queso or offer taco sauce. But overall it was really good!

Came in about 430 on a Sunday Place about half full n seat urself After about 10 minutes of being ignored i holler at a waitress to get a menu. Eventually i get one. Ask about beer on tap n she sounds like she’s on full auto. But did grasp the majority. Ordered one but it took 4 ever bc she couldn’t bring it to the table. OMG!! Then finally pizza makes it out. As I expected. It was amazing. Two ideas for management 1. Don’t let people just sit 2. We have several local breweries. How about getting some on tap?? Porters or stouts maybe from a place like Primal Brewing??? Some of us enjoy good pizza n good beer!!! U used to have Pappys o tap when they were still there. Just a thought. Service is usually better but today yall failed!

I've only been here twice the first time was pretty good experience the food was good the service was good and it was a good atmosphere to be at. The second time was nowhere near as good the server got to order wrong and then disappeared our food set up waiting to be picked up while the cook called it out three times. I actually had to get up and walk up to the kitchen and asked what was going on the manager ended up walking out with my food and bring it to my table. I noticed that our food was wrong it was supposed to be a half pound of boneless chicken wings and instead it was just five of what they call Jumbo wings not very jumbo. We were also missing a half order of the pizza sticks wish for not very impressive either once we finally got them. The manager is the reason that I'm giving a three-star because he did the best he could to make up for all the mistakes he did comp the pizza sticks and gave us a discount and took off one of the chicken wings his efforts were truly appreciative.

Google
We love this place! The menu is amazing…so tempting! My 8-inch cheese pizza was perfectly cooked: crisp on the bottom, not floppy. I had the small Mortar salad: it’s not small! Great combination of ingredients. Get the dressing on the side in case you want to take some home. We had the sweetest server; Rebecca. She made us feel very welcome and special. She’s a peach. And a great waitress.

Yelp
A hidden gem in Abilene! Never in a million years did I expect to find such great pizza in Abilene, Texas! We started with the spicy sticks as an appetizer. They were so good that I didn't have a chance to take a picture. These are breadsticks with jalapeños (just the right amount), mozzarella, garlic butter and Parmesan Romano cheese. They are served warm and toasty and with the perfect amount of flavor and spice. The pizza was the "Bubba's" all meat pizza. The crust was a perfectly thin and crispy one that allowed for the variety of meat. Often times, the crust becomes soggy with all the meat, but not here. It was a 10/10 for sure! This was our first time here, so not sure how busy it normally is, but it was very busy this early evening. We waited 5-10 minutes before anyone noticed we were seated and then a few more minutes to get drinks, but nothing to write a negative review over. The food was worth any wait.

Yelp
It's time to update my review again. Brick Oven has made me really go back and forth on my opinion of them over the years. Is it the best pizza I've ever had, no. Although, it's a unique spot that a lot of people enjoy. A crisp, crunchy crust with fresh toppings! I still love their quesadillas! Really happy with their salad portion size and the almonds as an addition to the house salad. Price for the portion size and quality of their pizzas is still out of range in my opinion. I've had a lot of mixed feeling about their food over the years, and usually don't feel inclined to go back. Our waitress brought our check at the beginning of our meal and to go boxes as well, which is proactive of course, but we felt rushed and confused. We never got to even state that our checks were separate, not together. Our appetizer was brought after we received our meal which was stated to be a mishap with a new chef, but we were not asked if we even wanted it at that point. We were also charged the full price instead of the lunch menu price for it as it should've been. Honestly, it would've been honorary to not be charged for it at all under the circumstances. It was just strange. We all have our off days, but it just added to my distaste for Brick Oven. I wish I had a consistently great experience with them! Here's to hoping for better experiences! Maybe it's just not my cup of tea.

Yelp
Atmosphere: quite a bit of seating in a strip mall type environment. Several TV's around for easy viewing. We had a big group and it was easy to just pull some tables together to accommodate everyone. 1 Star Service: You basically just walk in and seat yourself and then wait staff will come take your orders. We were early so there wasn't much of a crowd and it was easy to pull some tables together. Staff was cheery and happy to serve us. We have been here several times and I always tell myself that "maybe it will be a bit faster this time." It wasn't. That's the only real downside to eating here. I don't think it's ever been less than 30 min from the time we order our pizza until we get it. 1 Star Food: Having said what I did above about the wait, let me counter that with, the pizza is always delicious. I've never had a bad pizza here and I've tried several types. Have also had sandwiches and calzones. All were top-notch. So if you want really good pizza and don't have anything to do for an hour, then this place is great. 2 Stars Overall: Great pizza, sandwiches, and calzones. Just don't be in a hurry. 4 Stars.

Yelp
In my humble opinion . 02/07/2023 02/26/2023 Both visits were about the same as far as service goes.. We got our table-(seat yourself) and had to wait for a server. Service isn't terribly slow. But it isn't quick either. We ordered and the pizzas take 20-25 minutes. It's really good pizza. So I don't mind waiting. And you can do 1/2 n 1/2 on them. In the first visit we did taco/ bubba. The Bubba half was way better than the taco half. On the second visit we did Bubba/Margarita. I loved the margarita half. So good. Pizzas are about $14. We also ordered the mushrooms. Definitely recommend. Very yummy.

Yelp
Well I am truly disappointed after hearing all the great reviews of BOP. Saturday we had come down for lunch and got a 1/2 and 1/2 pizza. Very tasteless and not even exaggerating. The best part was the crust, which was delicious. Today we ordered the large Italian sub. Once again it was bland and tasteless. The service is great, the ice tea is great, the dining room clean! But the food has no taste to it. Reminds me of being on a restrictive diet where you can't have any remotely spicy. You expect Italian food to be full of flavor and memorable. This has none of that and we will not be back.

Alejandro G.

Yelp
Awesome. While the wait took a little bit, I can tell that the appetizers are part of the experience in making sure the timing is intentional. Nathan, our server, was one of the best servers I've ever had. He prioritized hospitality, comfort, and made it such a pleasurable and affordable experience based off of some miscommunication that the kitchen had. He was on top of his refills, kind, and welcoming. He even told my wife that she's allowed to have another Dr Pepper! Will 100% return here

Zach L.

Yelp
Used to be a great place to get pizza but the last few times it's been getting worse and worse. Ordered a cheese for the kids and a double trouble for the adults and both were half ass cooked like rushed out of the oven the crust was half cooked and the double trouble had like 20 pounds of pepperoni on it. Un edible. Such a shame Won't be going back any time soon.

Cindy S.

Yelp
Visited twice during my stay in Abilene! Had their Taco Pizza and Supreme! Both were Fantastic! But I have got to say their Taco Pizza is out of this world yummy! I grew up on Pizza Hut Taco Pizza and no one makes a Taco Pizza BETTER than Brick Oven Pizza Company!

Yelp
The smell will definitely have your mouth watering as soon as you come in. Made a quick stop here on a holiday a couple of minutes before closing. Rocky was so kind and food was even better

Yelp
Im in Abilene for business, working on base for a month. So I'm always looking for new places to go, I looked for restaurants on yelp and found La torcía brick oven. It was highly recommended and looked good. When I got there I couldn't decide what to eat, I decided to try something besides the pizza so I could try the Mortar salad, spicy stuffed mushrooms, the bread sticks, and the Italian sandwich. Everything was on point , authentic great taste and presentation. I would definitely come back and tell others.
google avatar

Diron K.

Yelp
The pizza was fair at best. The service was good and the ambiance was just okay. There's no need to go back. We were in town because of a funeral, so we don't know if we would be back in town anyway.

Ben T.

Yelp
The food was amazing, nice atmosphere and our very friendly server Rebecca had great recommendations we were even pleasantly surprised with the reasonable price, I highly recommend this place and will be returning soon.

Larry M.

Yelp
Best pizza in Abilene. I have worn my husband out on pizza but he will eat this pizza anytime
google avatar

Sean G.

Yelp
A solid pizza restaurant. Good quality pizza at an affordable price. Be prepared to wait for your food to cook. It's not a buffet.
google avatar

Ginger V.

Yelp
The food is great. It's a 5 star meal. Fresh ingredients, crisp crust. Very yummy! The nachos are equally delicious. Definitely love the food here. The service is 1 star at best. Each time I come in I either wait 1/2 an hour to get my check, can't find the waitress for refills because she's on break (?), or get stuck on a seating waiting list while other parties who come in afterwards are sat before us. Bad service ruins the meal every single time. If this place underwent some serious server/manager training, I'd honestly give it a 5 star rating. Until then, do yourself a favor and order it to go.

Yelp
Went to La Torcia Brick Oven Pizza today! got the creamy chicken and spinach quesadilla and the BBQ chicken luau pizza. Sooooooooooo good. Definitely would just get pizza next time because the flavor was just so much more amazing. Quesadilla was still good though! We thought the medium was two small for the two of us (it looks like a personal size), but we didn't even finish it. Even if we didn't have the quesadilla we would not have finished it. Our 16 month old got a quesadilla kids meal. He loooooooved the quesadilla so much, and he had Lays for the first time (it comes with original or bbq), loved those too! He has random days where he's picky especially when we eat out, so for him to like this was a big win.
google avatar

H. Y. S.

Yelp
Good as always. Decided to have a Supreme instead of my usual Margherita and it was quite good. Also had the stuffed mushrooms as an appetiser. Very good! Glad it wasn't crazy busy the day I went there. Cause the majority of the times that I've gone there it's been packed. Our waiter was very nice and cordial. Will always be coming back again! It was relatively nice and quiet as well.
google avatar

Michael P.

Yelp
I have come here several times. The atmosphere is very comforting, they never make you feel rushed. Their medium size pizzas are very tasty. I also tried a pasta dish and was very satisfying. Service was good ever time I'm here. They make sure you cup is filled. I'll be back again.

Yelp
Tried to call and get info on pizza and delivery options but the lovely lady that answered promptly put me on hold for over 10 minutes never came back to answer the call! I called back in and advised she left me on hold, no apology rude tone and before I could ask all questions she rudely advised me they DON'T DELIVER asked if they use door dash or any of those? I tried to explain was just trying to get information but again met with complete rudeness! I thought with all the nice reviews that this would be a great place to try! Apparently they don't need or want my business! Unbelievable I wonder if the owners even care! What a shame!
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
The lasagna dip is delicious, but I was sad it didn't have any pasta in it. We also got a small pizza that was really good, although the crust was not the typical brick oven crust I was expecting. Nicole was amazing and went above and beyond to take good care of us. I would highly recommend this local pizza spot.
google avatar

Douglas B.

Yelp
Yummy build your own pizzas. Great dine in atmosphere. A little pricey. Very good crust .
google avatar

Andrew M.

Yelp
Took my family to this place, I have three picky kids and they all loved it. My wife and I loved it. I highly recommend the taco pizza. It was surprisingly amazing. Our waitress, Nicole was very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. She even got my crying two year old to chill out haha.

Jeff G.

Yelp
Had the pleasure of attending a luncheon for a group at Brick Oven Pizza on Tuesday afternoon. Both service and food was perfect. The meals for each person were done as a preorder and this made for very quick service. DeAnn handled the 20+ people along with several others helping. An impressive effort. It's been several years since I was there last but it's definitely worth a return visit.
google avatar

Anastasia D.

Yelp
Krystal Gallegoz is the best employee there, she had the biggest smile and was very nice she deserves a raise
google avatar

Liz H.

Yelp
We like to try new places as we travel from Midland to Fort Worth and let me tell you.... This place NEVER disappoints. We love everything we've ever gotten

Big D.

Yelp
Not your conventional Italian pizza establishment. Lots of odd menu items and large variety of flavors! Crossed between Mexican, redneck and pizza hut! No real mozzarella for the pies! Just shredded crossbred cheese. NO CHICKEN PARMIGIANA But you can get a pulled pork quesadilla! The buffalo sauce for the wings was super sour! Like a cheap Louisiana style hot sauce! But the wings were cooked thoroughly but skin was gelatinous suggesting fryer isn't hot enough.

Yelp
Got an ad for a bogo. So I came in to get it. My first time there. Customer Service - I had wonderful assistance with getting the bogo off my FB messenger. Also she was very friendly. The only issue was the service was lagging a bit. I did give some consideration to the fact that there seemed to be computer issues and issues with something else which was a deep conversation behind the counter which delayed me getting my drink and I was very thirsty. I just didn't feel like hollering so instead I just kept trying to get eye contact. Though my to go pizza did get put in without me having to say anything. - 3 stars Food - Spinach dip was delicious, can choose between chips or pita chips. Supreme has canned mushrooms but figured that there's a reason. Still tasted great. The smoked ham on it gave an amazing flavor. Both pizza's were awesome and just as good heated up later which is hard to find pizza to meet the reheat. Overall, both pizzas were delicious. If you like spicy, you can get a spicy spice on the pizza. - 5 stars Price - average priced - 3 stars

Yelp
Tried this place recently and found the pizza to be really good. Th whole family liked it and we will be back again.
google avatar

Yelp
Some of the best pizza around for years. Always a delicious and consistent pie! Love this spot!!!!
google avatar

John P.

Yelp
Respect for a pizza place that serves small portion pizza for a high price and continue to have fools buy it. It's literally smaller and thinner than the little Caesars $5 pizza across the street. How people get ripped off here and deal with rude staff and just keep coming back for more. Definitely an ignorant Abilene thing.

Bianca W.

Yelp
Server was very nonchalant. Rude, short remarks. Everytime me or my friends asked a question it was an issue.
google avatar

Sean F.

Yelp
Well just when u think customer service is gone you walk into brick oven pizza we called in an order and for what ever reason it did not make it to them BUT NO PROBLEM. The manager (tall white skinny well dressed guy) says no problem we got u and takes my order and makes my order ASAP and here is the kicker HE DIES NOT CHARGE ME and says it's on us This small amount of customer service made my day and want to invite everyone to go and eat here Brick Oven Pizza Company is the best Thank you
google avatar

Maribel S.

Yelp
My family loves this place but just from my personal experience I stray. Our first time the server was great and no complaints about the food either. We left a cash tip and come to find she added an additional tip on the card so we called to address issue and give them benefit of the doubt mistakes happen. We go back a couple weeks later and this guy was the rudest jerk of a server. Anyway the food is great but I happened to go on the wrong days lol
google avatar

Lisa E.

Yelp
this is not a Margherita pizza..this is a white pizza with tomatoes..what you served was nothing close to what a Margherita pizza should be...I'm embarrassed for you.. An often recounted story holds that on 11 June 1889, to honour the Queen consort of Italy, Margherita of Savoy, the Neapolitan pizzamaker Raffaele Esposito created the "Pizza Margherita", a pizza garnished with tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil, to represent the national colours of Italy as on the Italian flag.

Eatin O.

Yelp
Please bring back the salad bar! Pizza is still usually on point and really good. Simplify the menu, which should speed up the kitchen, and reasonable wait times will return.
google avatar

Garry H.

Yelp
Joined some friends here and really enjoyed it. The pizza was great. I like the bumpy serving plates that help keep the crust crispy. The favorite was different and I really liked it. Got a sandwich to take home that was ok but not my favorite. The salad bar is pretty basic but there if you want it. Will we go again? You bet!
google avatar

Stephanie H.

Yelp
I have eaten here before but its been a while. Apparently they changed their menu in regards to sizing. The small is now their kid size the medium is what their small pizza size used to be. The breadstick order is a joke. I guess Ibshould of asked her what is a half order. I think it was pretty cheap for a food company to cut breadsticks in half snd call it a half order. I wont be going back spending when I paid 25.00 on this? If i was an employee i would be so embarssed serving these items off the menu as acceptable sizes and the money you pay for it. I did a call order in and my hubby picked it up. If it would of been me picking it up I would of refused my order based upon what I was ordering from the website and what I was paying for. #wontbeback #joespizzaisbetter

Yelp
One of the hidden gems of Abilene! This place is awesome. From the pizzas to the pastas to the quesadillas. Everything is delicious. It's one of the few places where you can be assured anything you try if going to be a hit. The Buffalo Dip is our favorite!

Gabriela P.

Yelp
amazing food. everyone I talk to loves it there. wait time is a little bit high so we call to take out.
google avatar

Yelp
We travel full time and have been in Abilene for about 6 weeks. The food and service in Abilene is dismal at best. The place is amazing. Great food fantastic service. A true gem in Abilene
google avatar

Melissa B.

Yelp
Food was spot on. Have not found food this good in Abilene. Crust was perfect flavor was amazing. Might have to come again tomorrow.
google avatar

William E.

Yelp
We love the pizza here. The double trouble is great. The family mainly my son devours the bread sticks. The price is more reasonable compacted to another pizza joint in town, close to decide between the two which is better. Their in house beer is a toss up some are good some are so so.
google avatar

Teri L.

Yelp
I have a mix emotions about this place. For one as I entered there was no sign saying that I could sit anywhere. "Mind you, this is my first time coming here." I saw the waiter, made eye contact, but he never said anything to me. (So I kind of felt ignored.) but after a few minutes he then told that I could have sit anywhere I like.... I understand that he was by himself, I guess, there were shortstaffed or someone called in sick I don't know. He could of just told me that I could sit anywhere. (Which I have no problem with) I just don't walk in to a place and just sit anywhere... But it got better! The service was good and of course the food was amazing! Can't go wrong with pizza right!

Yelp
Came here for my son's birthday and I had the Margarita Pizza. It was amazing. This was my first time to Brick Oven Pizza, but it will not be my last.v

Yelp
The last night of our visit in Abilene we decided to take our hosts out for dinner (Mom taught me to always be a gracious guest and you'll get invited back!) I always prefer to go to locally owned places rather than chains when I travel. Who wants to drive 700 miles and eat at the same place as you have down the street back home? This fit the bill perfectly. The service was great, they struck the right balance between attentive and lettin you enjoy your meal without having to be interrupted every 3 minutes to say that "yes" everything is still fine. The pizza here is very thin and the brick oven really crisps up the crust. I happen to like that style of pizza so I was very happy! We ordered a Mediterranean pizza and the green olives with feta cheese was heavenly! My husband gave me a sideways look when the meatlovers pizza the guys had ordered arrived because he prefers that puffy crust that makes you feel full after a slice or two. For me, it's all about the toppings. ( I can eat pizza on a bagel, or a tortilla and its still pizza to me with the right toppings.) This was DELICIOUS! I love how the pizza came served on a special platter that had raised little nubs on the bottom to give a little room for air to circulate under the pizza and keep it from going soggy. Even the last slice was crisp! Would be very happy to eat here again on a future trip.

Yelp
What a joke, One of the worst pizzas I have ever had. Terrible ingredients....worse service..... Wanted to try them out, they were one of the last pizza places I had yet to try in town. Apparently we had a confusing order, margarita pizza with no sliced tomatoes. Ordered over the phone, and asked them if they had sliced tomatoes on the pizza. Order taker said that they were "cooked into the pizza" we asked if we could leave them off. Went into pick up the pizza and the cashier said it was an "odd order"' thats just rude in the first place, but I thought nothing of it. Got home, and the pizza was a greasy SAUCELESS mess..... to top it off, dried basil..... Any good restaurant would have checked for clarity, it should have been obvious that we were new customers. Pass on this one guys

Anthony M.

Yelp
Ordered some pizza online and it was ready in a decent amount of time. I got the Chicken Bacon Ranch and it was pretty good. This is some of the better pizza in the Abilene area. The service here is great as well. I was satisified with my food and i'd come back again.
google avatar

Kelly C.

Yelp
Ok, so bad things happen. Like you get mushrooms on your pizza and you are extremely allergic. Stuff happens. A good business is defined by how it handles things like that. April and her team here should be an example to EVERY business for how to handle guest issues. It seemed like a lot of things went wrong this evening (power outage) but they were still smiling and busting their butts for their guests. April fixed my problem and made dang sure it was right. Her team was so kind and apologized more than they even needed to. She even gave me a water while I waited. This is why you need to come here. The stress didn't get to them. They worked as a team and every guests was leaving happy. Thank you April and team. You guys are truly the best in town.

Yelp
I usually love Brick Oven but each time i go back it gets worse. My friend got the chicken alfredo and it was literally water.... i got the chicken bacon ranch calzone and it wasn't the same.
