Place is nice, quiet and clean, perfect for a lunch or dinner when visiting Mérida. Local food only, prices are kinda high but taste is great, and portion sizes are situable for share or big meals. Our waiter was kind and proactively explained the difference and features of several items on the menu. I enjoyed eating here. It is obviously for tourists but don't feel like that in any way.

We came to LA Tradicion while visiting Merida. We wanted to try the typical dishes from the area and we were recommended here. The food was pretty delicious, just that I would of placed this spot more like tapas than single dishes. We enjoyed the food but sadly their service wasn't the best, they kept forgetting our drinks, when asked for some additional food one of the waiters stated the kitchen was closed and we couldn't order more when the time wasn't 6pm yet. It's great to come to a place with original and typical dishes from the area it's just sad to be treated differently just because of were we are from.

This is sort of a high end restaurant with very good traditional food. Very cozy, the waiters are beyond attentive.

Yelp
Had some great local food here. Cochinita Pibil and castacan. The first ist the local specialty, the other one are crunchy bits of pork belly. Both were amazing. The appetizers they served were also great. Nice selection of local brews too. The restaurant is a little off the town center, so you don't see a lot of tourists here, which is probably a good sign

Yelp
I was expecting more from this somewhat upscale venerable Yucatecan just north of Fiesta Americana. We arrived at 7:30 on a Friday and the place was weirdly empty. We were the only diners. Annoying loud music was blasting from the next room. We found out the were getting ready for a private party later in the evening. Disconcerting. The service was slow. The food was fine..small portions, well prepared. Perhaps I'll return and hope for a better experience but it was ok nonetheless
