"A charming and lively trattoria that, along with La Cucina Colaianni, forms the exciting Freilager dual concept in the Albisrieden neighbourhood. With Marco Però and his team providing warm and attentive service, Antonio Colaianni whips up flavoursome Italian classics in the kitchen – from vitello tonnato and paccheri con gamberoni to filetto di branzino and the "Tiramisu Freilager", which is prepared at your table. The good range of pizzas is also worth mentioning. At lunchtime, the options are more limited but include the wallet-friendly three-course "Menu D'Affari", as well as daily specials and items from the evening menu. This place is a gem and conveniently located next to Tiefenbrunnen train station. The food is classic Italian and fantastic. The service is also great. We had a very large group and were able to sit outside on a beautiful evening.

Food was good, above average also as price. The dishes were creative and well presented, the melon soup thing I did not like, neither the fragola tiramisu, but the tuna dish was really good. Service was not so fast, 2 persons for all terrace was resulted in slow times. Restrooms are clean and generally the employees are helpful.

Used to be a nice atmosphere. Has been taken over by new management and the owner is super rude. I politely waited to speak to them to ask them to keep the path clear for pedestrians, the manager started asking what my problem was and then saying I was disturbing his guests, when he was the one shouting over the table and I had been waiting to speak to him discreetly while he took their order. Same nonsense again this summer, acting like they own the public path with no consideration for people with prams, wheelchairs (there is a wheelchair user living directly in next to their building). Embarassing

Ate today rigattoni with Polpette They were just perfect. (I am still eating them rightnow) They are nearly so good as the one of my Grandmother ;) Can just recommand this place Great people great food and a great atmosphere

Great outdoor area, but food did not convince me 100%. My main - the mixed fish plate - was very nice, and good value for money for Zurich standards. Entrees were ok but not mind blowing. Overall I prefer the kitchen next door at La Zagra 😋

Really enjoyed the ambiance and outdoor seating! Really nice space. Food was decent but nothing mind-blowing. Not too expensive (for Zurich standards) and they have lunch menus that come with a salad or soup. Their pastas also have small or big portions and the small portions are enough as a main for lunch and it's around 15-20 CHF for the smaller portion.
