⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stopped by La Traviata during a work trip and couldn’t have asked for a better meal or experience. The food was outstanding from start to finish, but what really stood out was the service — both bartenders were incredibly attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely taken care of the entire evening. It’s always a great feeling when you can actually enjoy a proper meal while traveling for work, and La Traviata delivered on every front. Highly recommend the beef carpaccio to start and the carbonara, which absolutely lived up to the hype — rich, perfectly balanced, and cooked flawlessly. Fantastic food, excellent service, and a great atmosphere. Would absolutely return and highly recommend.

Just popped in after a game. Sat at the bar. Great service from the ladies behind the bar 🥰. Food delicious! Endive prosciutto salad to start and Cheese ravioli with short rib special ….lots of short rib and lots of flavor! Even my New Jersey hubby approved of the chicken parm! We will be back! 😊

We came here for dinner and loved the vibe of this place. It had beautiful aesthetics with all the soft lighting. Our server was great and overall service was quick. My one negative for the evening was all our food was warm and not exactly hot. I wish it was hotter. We got Arancini, mushroom fettuccine and a duck entree. The arancini came out in 5 mins. It tasted great but I wish it was hot. It was crispy and cheesy and paired well with the tomato sauce. The mushroom fettuccine had amazing truffle smell and tasted great. It comes with plenty of mushrooms. Great vegetarian option. The duck was a little on the dry side but the cheesy potato it came with was delicious. We ended the dinner with profiteroles. It came with ice cream and a nice drizzle of chocolate sauce. Sadly the profiteroles felt dry and old. They comped us for dessert even though we asked them not to which was nice of them. I would definitely come back to try some other dishes here. Great spot for dinner dates and special occasions

Another great dinner at La Traviata! I loved the cocktail I tried: Gin Smash. We shared: mussels, beef carpaccio, & focaccia for appetizers. Entrees: spicy rigatoni, the daily pasta special, carbonara, and bolognese. Service was attentive and welcoming. The restaurant was bustling and loud.

La Traviata is so good! I'm celiac and they offer gluten free penne noodles for all the pasta dishes. Also got the Cesar Salad (no croutons) and in house gluten free cookie platter. So good 😊

This is my second time visiting [Restaurant Name], and once again it did not disappoint. I really enjoyed the Prosecco and the dessert — the profiterole was excellent. The Bolognese, however, is not made in the traditional Italian style; it’s a bit creamier. Personally, I prefer the classic version, but if you enjoy bolder flavors with a hint of spice or more vegetables, you might really like it. Overall, this is definitely a place worth visiting. Delicious Italian Food! We had the Chicken Parmesan and it was stellar. The chicken was crispy, sauce was the right amount of sweet and bitter, and the pasta was cooked perfectly.

Was going to give 4 stars but dropped a star for a few reasons: 1. Waitress (Isabel) was overwhelmed with the number of customers she had to serve so service was not prompt. We tried to get her attention several times but she wouldn't see us or come over. 2. Tiramisu was not good. I wouldn't order it again. I would say the pasta is good. The salmon i ordered was pretty decent. 3. When it was time to pay, we had ask for the check to be split. Some of us had wrong checks. Though I must say Isabel did her best. The thing that we were not happy about was that the front desk or other service crew was not willing to help Isabel. We wanted to give our credit cards to pay but only Isabel could receive it. Why cant others help to collect our credit cards? When the customer is ready to pay, we shouldn't be calling for the cards to be taken. I ended up giving 3 stars because my to go order was swapped with another guest. I did not check before I left the restaurant but only 2 orders were sent in to be packed at each time. How could the order be swapped ? I was not able to enjoy the rest of my meal because my order was swapped. I hope that the restaurant could have provided better service.

We found this restaurant by chance, but what a great find, food was excellent, service was very good, ambiance was really good, would highly recommen.

Austin may not be known for its Italian food, but La Traviata is one of the rare exceptions and I'm lucky to have it just down the street! I stopped in with a friend during happy hour and we grabbed seats at the bar which was already bustling. While we waited to order I took in the space. It's a beautiful restaurant with mid-century design elements and warm natural wood tones that give it a cozy elevated feel. The menu had so many tempting options, but I ultimately went with the sausage rigatoni while my friend ordered the carbonara. Both pasta dishes were excellent and paired perfectly with the complimentary focaccia the bartender brought over. The happy hour menu also features a great selection of wines and cocktails, which I happily explored. The staff was friendly, attentive, and professional rounding out a truly enjoyable dining experience.

Location: plentiful parking in a lot shared by other businesses/restaurants. Ambiance: modern boho feel, mostly neutral decor ready for social media posts. Outside and indoor seating available. Clean and spacious. Some booth tables for the smaller kiddos. Good for casual date or group celebrations, or just the foodie in you to enjoy good food. Service: attentive without being obtrusive Food: served in a timely manner. The fried calamari was a very generous portion for the price. Didn't feel too greasy, good light batter crunch. Pasta entrees - also good for brunch portions. Not sure if the same for dinner. Portions are on the smaller "European" side but quality ingredients. Lovely place to take family or in-laws! I think the younger crowd who appreciates good food will enjoy this restaurant as well.

Tried this place during the week, very busy for a a weekday visit. Staff is very friendly and the environment is a bit classy in my opinion. Appetizer ~ Started off with the local bread, surprisingly it was cold but it was still good with the oil and olives it was paired with. Definitely worth a try but it didn't stand out for me for an Italian restaurant. 3.5/5 Appetizer ~ The risotto fritters were my favorite part of the meal. It comes with a tomato based sauce and the inside of the fritter was cheesy, which was so good. This is worth the try and I will definitely come back to have again. 5/5 Main Course ~ The pasta was delicious, had a nice seafood combination to it. My partner and I shared this and we each got a nice portion, very filling. I'd say out of all the Italian places I've been to, this has been a top contender. I do wish it had a slight creamy addition to it. 4/5 Dessert ~ I was very disappointed by the dessert, it looked so good and we thought it would be the best part, but unfortunately no. It was very dry and I had 2 bites and couldn't eat anymore of it. It came with ice cream but the dryness of the profiteroles was just overpowering. 2/5 Overall, great experience. I'll be happy to come back and try different things on their menu.

Absolutely delicious meal!! Great prices for the quality and portion. The focaccia starter is an absolute must!! The ambiance is so fun here as it's very aesthetic and they have both indoor and outdoor seating available. Our waiter was nice and good at providing suggestions. Will definitely be back again!

The food was amazing, ambience was amazing, service was amazing. I highly recommend. We had the carbonara and the sausage rigatoni both were out of this world.

We came here to eat on a Saturday. They are surprisingly popular, and the earliest same-day reservation we could get was at 7:45pm. The restaurant was lively when we arrived & other tables continued to arrive after us. We got seated directly next to the door, but weren't bothered by any wind. My mom had previously ate here and had some recommendations. We shared the focaccia and both desserts. I tried the chicken milanese even though the pastas beckoned - another time! Everything was delicious but definitely over priced. Service was great & the customer vibes is classy yet casual. Everyone dressed sharp, even those at the bar counter! The lovely couple next to us asked us for menu recommendations, and it's easy to look at servers bringing food out to other tables & getting inspired too.

Starting off by saying- Great spot for a date night, pretty good Italian food.. and nice ambiance. Been here abt 15 times as me and my wife live less than 10 min away. Servicers and staff are always nice too.. However; Don't order take out.. it's seems like they give you scraps from kitchen and underserve the portions. It's also overcharged; $12 more For the same meal we get dining in There's plenty of other spots around Austin with the same quality food that don't upcharge you on takeout.

Elegance. Intimate. Top tier Italian cuisine. Service was excellent. The Bean and I celebrated our anniversary here with some wonderful food and beautiful conversation. Braised beef lasagna and the duck confit were the entrees of the evening. Chased with prosecco and accompanied with calamari. Everything was excellent!!

It's a great restaurant for traditional Italian food. The menu is short and sweet. We got the smoked mushroom carbonara with gf penne pasta (so good), fried calamari and mussels to share, the chicken Milanese is HUGE piled with fresh arugula. My vegan friend really enjoyed the warm Rosemary focaccia that she ordered two. We also tried the fettuccine with mushroom and roasted beets with burrata salad. Everything was hearty and delicious. I liked the Amaro old fashioned. The service was fantastic. I liked our server a lot. She was candid. Did not try to oversell anything. The ambiance is very nice. Good for small gatherings and dates. Best seats are the ones with a half booth. Otherwise, the wooden chairs can be uncomfortable after a while. It's nice to be able to hear each other's conversations. If there was music, the volume was tastefully modulated. Ample parking. Two separated unisex restrooms that are clean and cozy. Not too bright and both have a sink inside. Perfect.

My favorite Italian restaurant in Austin is back - this time on Southwest Parkway - with plenty of parking, away from the madness of Congress Avenue. Same chef and owner (Marion Gillcrist!), new manager (thanks John Stolz!), new digs. The interior is warm, thoughtfully curated, with touches of mid-century modern and Scandinavian simplicity. There's a seated bar and outdoor seating with heaters, too. I don't love banquette seating (too loud, too crowded) but the dining room is chill in an upscale way. We were there to enjoy the outdoors on a perfect Spring day at 5pm and were able to choose our seats - plus the service was excellent and relaxed. We ordered the yummy crispy fried calamari and our beloved bolognese... I'd missed it so much! The wine selection was small but top notch. You can order by the glass, too. I only regret that I didn't have room for dessert. I'm thinking Profiteroles next time. We breezed in because we arrived at opening time but I wouldn't consider going there without reservations.

Went for lunch but forgot it's Sunday brunch and couldn't order off the other menus. Had risotto fritters and delicious, only 3 so order more for large groups but the sauce was delicious. Chicken sandwich had great soft bread and lots of fresh arugula and the aioli sauce hit the spot Service was slower than we'd like for a non busy day which knocked a star off

Made a reservation for 6:30 on a Saturday, table not ready. No biggie grabbed a drink at the bar, however the bartender did not really know how to make a French 75 or a Brooklyn, they were ok, but for the $$ they should be spot on. Hostess was super attentive and apologetic for the delay and got us a table within 15 minutes. Now the table was a bit on the small side, barely enough room for a drink or two, water glass and the food. Oh well. We opted for the fried calamari, mussels and shrimp puttanesca. Calamari well breaded, a bit too salty and some strong fish tastes. Mussels--not what I'm used to, but now it makes sense why they recommended a side of spaghetti, they were served in pasta sauce. The bread that came with it was so crispy it could not soak up the sauce. Then shrimp puttanesca lacked seasoning and was nothing to write home about, nor did we get the leftovers to go. Place was getting busy by 7:45 so they "rushed" others out to turn the tables around. Not cool. They did comp one of our dessert, since it was our anniversary. Overall high hopes for another good place close to home (the Congress location was so good back in the day) but sadly probably won't be back

The Good: Service and the food was excellent! This is my go-to place for carbonara. Was excited to see they reopened closer to home. The Not So Good: Would have loved a little more pancetta with my carbonara to bring more salt to the dish - but that might be a personal preference The Bad: Nope! not a thing.

On a whim we decided to eat here for lunch. First the space is so pretty, comfortable and inviting. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in and offered a place to sit. Our waitress came over within minutes with water and told us the specials and asked if we had any questions before she gave us a few minutes to review the menus. My husband got the soup of the day, a creamy mushroom thickened with potatoes. It was delicious. The presentation was beautiful as well. He got the smoked mushroom carbonara and he said it was incredible. He liked that there was just enough sauce to coat the noodles. I tried it and found it to be ok, but would have loved more sauce. I got the chopped salad and changed the cheeses and dressing and it was delicious! The lemon dressing is Devine. We both agreed this is a deserving of 5 stars restaurant! We will definitely be back and can't wait to try dinner with friends.

I truly enjoyed my first time experience at La Traviata. I joined a group of friends for dinner (party of 6) and La Traviata did not disappoint. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. We ordered appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Authentic Italian paired with a cozy ambiance - highly recommended.

Convenient location - always hoping for great restaurants in SWATX. Visited last week on a weeknight. First impression: Busy. Reservations recommended. Nice layout. Service is awesome! Good (overpriced) drinks. Two-tops are about the size of a TV tray. Not very comfortable once you've got food, wine, glasses crowded together. My entree was so unremarkable that I don't actually remember what I ordered...I remember what I got at Whataburger 6 weeks ago, but I can't remember what I ate here last week? I'm not that old. It was that unremarkable. I'll probably give it a second chance primarily due to location. In a year or so...

Great service, Crystal had amazing recommendations. The food was so fresh and flavorful and filling portions. Great NA options for craft beer and cocktails. Prices just right. Definitely recommend for solo, date night, friends and family outings. I had the salad on special with the most fresh and fluffy buttery spinach I've had before and added a duck leg for protein, Cooked perfectly, juicy and fall off the bone. The focaccia is unique and deliciously crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Could use more garlic on the side though, ask for extra maybe. The cookie plate was delicious, small crispy and crumbly cookies packed with flavor.

The chocolate tart is so good. I only wish it didn't have the nuts in it. It would be one of the best desserts I've ever had without the nuts.

As a long time customer of LaTrav when she was on Congress...I mourned the closing. Finally made it across the river for the most outstanding meal I have had in a long time. Of course, carbonara! Others with me had Bolognese, chicken piccata, and great starters. The service, the decor, the lighting, the wine list, all first rate. I will - with pleasure, deal with crossing the river at 6PM often. Totally worth it.

We sat outside and the ambiance was amazing! Very quiet and comfortable. The food was impeccable and our server was very good. I would definitely come back!

We like to get here early, like 5pmish. Flew in on Monday, last week and it was an easy access to snag a place at the bar. Our Benjamin Bratt lookalike barkeep was happy to see us again and we had a nice little chat before ordering up a couple of cocktails. From experience, we were pacing ourselves since they have lightning fast food service once you order. Started with the ubiquitous Calamari and snarfed that up pretty quickly. Sip Sip Sip... ordered the Focaccia, which comes with a mound of parmesan on top and a dipping oil.. Sip Sip Sip, let's order some wine! Main entree time and I choose to go with the Traviata Carbonaro. I asked if I could have the Fettuccine added rather then the spaghetti, which was no problem. Just wanted a broader pasta to cling onto all the sauce. This was delicious as I had experienced before with their Mushroom rendition. It is a delight to have a sunny egg yoke sitting on top of a little volcano of pasta and carbo's. Mix Mix Mix, chomp and relax. Sip some more wine and then the delightful Chef Marion came over to check on us. She shared her journey from Congress to her new location in SW Parkway. It was nice to visit with her as we finished our meals. We are fast becoming big fans of La Traviata and Mondays may be our go to day to come on by.

We had booked for indoor (standard) seating for 6:00pm (Friday 10th Oct). As we saw the seating and took us to, my wife wanted different location; not open where people were continuously walking around. Sine it was meant to be quiet dinner date; we requested the reception to seat us at different location suited for only two. She looked at us strangely and denied by saying it was reserved for larger group... Later within next 5-7 minutes she allowed another couple to move to that spot. It appeared that it was more like racial treatment... The server was good; food was ok, but this incident felt like not true America

We came here for my birthday, which was on a Tuesday. We had reservations, but it was not crowded. Our waitress was under age, so she brought over someone from the bar that was very helpful in choosing a wine. We ordered the carpaccio, which was delicious, but was covered with so much arugula I thought they had mistakenly delivered a salad. I also had the duck confit, which came with potatoes au gratin and guess what- another pile of arugula. The duck and potatoes were amazing- highly recommend. My husband got the Bolognese, which did not have much flavor. Since it was my birthday, they also brought a complimentary profiterole to share, which was a nice touch. Overall, this is pretty solid neighborhood restaurant which I'd try again because it's so close, but I wouldn't drive across town for it.

We had reservations for dinner at 7:30, party of 6. Table wasn't ready, no place to sit and wait. Cold outside and bar was crowded and we had to just stand around by the bar. Then they asked us if we wanted something to drink while we waited. We had a 1 coke and 1 iced tea. Charged up $11 for those 2 drinks instead of free. We waited standing until we were tired and left without eating. Bad experience and accommodating staff.

Food was amazing, ambience was amazing, our server was amazing, all around I think you should definitely give this place a try! Definitely on the pricier side, but the main dishes could easily feed two if you fill up on the appetizers like we did!

Everything was fresh and amazing! I loved how crispy yet lightly breaded the calamari was. I ordered the mussels and added extra spaghetti, which made the meal amazing! My fiancé ordered the chicken parmesan and said it was amazing. Overall would come back here again

I loved the aesthetic-very minimalist but still comfortable. The service was very good. I wish the menu had some supplemental hot veg but there were several salads to choose from that were big enough to share. My pasta was plated beautifully but the sauce was broken. I will definitely try again. I should have sent the pasta back but I wanted my dinner to go smoothly. Good wine list!

Mixed experience here. First of all, the restaurant itself, the decor, and ambiance were very pleasant and charming. The atmosphere was inviting and alluring as soon as we opened the door. I made a Valentine's Day reservation several weeks prior for this evening out. I was surprised to find a limited prix fixe menu for $80 per person. There were fewer options on the menu than a normal night and frankly we don't enjoy prix fixe because my fiancé is so tiny and neither of us likes sweets. We tend to share plates. Prix fixe for us is very uneconomical. The prix fixe wasn't advertised when making the reservation. We would have gone elsewhere for preference had we known beforehand. For our meals, we had the Caesar and mixed greens salads and the fettucine with mushrooms and the carbonara. The food was fine. Nothing wrong with it. But nothing to gush about either. No real complaints. What truly soured our experience was the service itself. I understand that restaurants on busy nights have an obligation to turn tables, but it felt like they were trying to set the world record for quickest dining experience. I can't believe I'm complaining about service being too quick, but here we are. I don't think we waited more than 3-5 minutes between any order (drinks, appetizer, entree, etc.) before it hit the table. My fiancé was only halfway through her fettucine, engaging in conversation with me, and a server came and picked it up off the table and asked if we wanted it boxed or not. After the waiter dropped off the check, I began to review it with credit card in hand, and he snatched them out of my hands immediately. The entire meal sit down to stand up was done in 1 hour, 8 minutes. For some people, I'm sure this is a blessing. But on a Friday night after a long, stressful week at work, my fiancé and I wanted to enjoy each other's company and relax with one other on Valentine's Day. Unfortunately, the hurried experience left us unsatisfied with the entire experience.

I believe this is an overpriced restaurant. They have great service staff and nice ambiance, but the food really wasn't anything special. The mixed greens salad was yummy and light. The spinach and mushroom pasta dish was not that good.

Six of us had dinner here on a Saturday evening. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Loved my shrimp pasta special of the night and the Cesar salad. My husband had the chicken Parmesan and he said the chicken was tough but the sauce was good. Others had pasta carbonara and bolognese. Definitely will return!

I forgot to take a picture because I ate the food too fast! We came here for my wife's birthday on a Sunday around noon. It wasn't too busy but the place was very well designed and comfortable. We got the carbonara, bolognese, and split a Caesar salad for around $50 before tip. Delicious food and reasonable prices. Some would say the overall experience rivals a top tier Italian restaurant such as Olive Garden.

Having lived in the northeast, and being used to excellent Italian food, one of the biggest complaints my wife and I have had in Austin is the lack of decent Italian food. Now that we've discovered La Traviata we no longer have that complaint. Honestly, the food was so excellent that I am actually mad we hadn't been there before. Our waitress Devinne was great, every recommendation she made was excellent, we can't wait to go back!!

The waitress was absolutely lovely, but the hostess was unforgiving. 2 top tables are small & there's nowhere to hang your handbag or coat. Servings were generous but pastas were simply ok. We will give it another try.

Beyond pleased to have La Traviata up and running again, and even happier they're in Lantana -- off the beaten path a little, while in a section excitingly up and coming. Jennifer's the best bartender and overseer of... pretty much everything at La T. Drinks and food are timed and executed impeccably, and service has been stellar every visit (this coming from an admitted Regular -- husband and I have been damn-near 10 times already). I have a food allergy, and they've been very respectful of and attentive to that as well; feeling safe when dining out is vitally important. I think it's also cool that the owner, Marion, is often present -- I get the impression she really *cares* about her restaurant and its patrons. (I'm not the best with names, but John, Heather and [I think] Nicole are also consistently great.) So far have tried a handful of classic, gluten-free-modified pastas, as well the endive and Caesar salads, and have loved 'em all. What more can I say, five stars.

I dined here with a couple of friends on Friday evening and it was divine!! We ordered several appetizers and dishes to share. Everything was so good!! We especially loved the Carbonara (to die for!) and the focaccia. The service was spot on, despite being really busy. The owner stopped by our table and she was a gem! What a treat....highly recommend giving this a try!! The restaurant is so pretty too with a comfortable design.

Group of seven for dinner. Started with drinks, including some of their craft cocktails, well done. The Brooklyn (a variation on a Manhattan) is excellent. Got some focaccia bread, this is a "must try", great crust and crumb, full of flavor. The table had various entrees- Osso Buco (amazing), bolognese (also amazing) and Carbonara (awesome). Service was timely and attentive, especially for a packed Saturday night. Strongly recommend if you are seeking great Italian. Price is reasonable with a great wine list.

This by far is one of the best Italian food restaurants I have ever been to all over the world. The ambiance is great too! The staff is fantastic and the chef/owner is quite lovely. We had everything from apps, to her remarkable Caesar Salad, to pastas, to toasted angel food cake (TO DIE FOR)... The cocktails were perfect touch and the wine list isn't lacking... Thank you, La Traviata for making our girls weekend memorable. We will FOR SURE be back!

We were SO GLAD La Traviata has returned!! We have been three times now and we're not unhappy about any trip. Great ambiance (though we miss the Brooklyn vibe of the Soco spot), kind and friendly staff, very attentive... easy to place reservations online and, unlike some newer establishments, they are able to stick to their reservation commitment instead of making you wait another 30 mins past your reservation time (ahem, El Dorado). I love that this place is clearly well managed. The reason for 4 stars VS 5? Man..: they changed the polenta with Gorgonzola rosemary sauce. My heart.... It breaks. Now it's polenta 'sticks' (c'mon y'all). It's till GOOD but man, was it previously GREAT.

Some of the food is decent. I had actually asked if I could have my bread heated up and they refused because they are James Beard. I thought that was ridiculous. Some of the service is spotty so depends on who you get to serve. I ordered champagne and it was terrible and it was hot.

Great addition to the neighborhood. Everything was fresh and delicious and the cocktails were stiff. Service was absolutely wonderful as well.

Perfection!! We were so excited that La Traviata was opening again after closing their original location years ago. The food , the service, the ambiance: all 5 stars! In fact, we've been at least 6 or 7 times in the short few months that they have opened. Thank you La Traviata! We have an Austin favorite!!

Thought the food was delicious. I had the Chicken Parmesan; the portion was very generous. We loved the appetizers and bread. Be sure and order dessert. Our service was excellent. Looking forward to going back.
