On the Grid : La Trésorerie

"You can find so many treasures at La Trésorerie! From tablecloths to kitchen knives, there are so many things for your home. I really love wandering down the aisles to look at the cute vintage soap packaging. The other cool thing about the shop is that you can have lunch in their restaurant, Café Smorgås, which has a nice Scandinavian vibe!" - Fakepaper

The place is ADORABLE & AWESOME!!! I can’t imagine how every single kitchen piece that they have is ARTISTICALLY DRIVEN especially the wooden ones. If you are searching for unique home stuff you have to go there with big quality and good price!

Very beautiful kitchen items. It’s a pleasure even just to browse here, and I ended up buying quite a few of my Xmas presents here.

Google
Superb shop for kitchen and housewares, including kitchen linens, soaps, and so forth. I love their lines of solid, beautiful, useful pots, pans, mixing bowls, and utensils--obviously chosen for sturdiness as well as style, and most often made in Europe. A little patch of heaven for those who like everyday things also to be a joy to look at and to use.

One of my favorite shops in Paris. Has everything for home decor and more. Beautiful ceramics, room scents, but also a lot of practical stuff, knives, brushes, brooms... Everything is very stylish. Nicely curated selection.

Yelp
La Trésorerie near République is a bright, modern Swedish style houseware/kitchen store that is worth browsing even if you think you have everything you need (they are working on an English version of their website, but they have people who speak English answering their phone lines). I don't really have room for any more pots and pans, but it's always fun to browse. They have utensils from butter spreaders to zesters, and tea and coffee sets and cups give you an option of making a beverage at home. Lights, tables, throws, curtains, and coordinated linens to enhance your decor. They even have practical things like cleaning supplies and tools. The most practical part of this store was their attached cafe, with Swedish snacks and sweets to sustain you as you shop:) Prices are reasonable, neither the lowest and nor the highest for brand names and types of products; you may find lower prices in the big department stores during sales, but this place will have less crowds and better service.

Yelp
I visit Paris frequently and always look for interesting shops with unique items. I own a shop in Chicago myself, Moth, and I was surprised to see that we carried some of the same brands. The shop is beautifully merchandised with items from Europe and Japan. I spent 90 Euros and then went to eat in the little cafe attached. When my friend and I were finished eating we walked through the shop again. I took a couple of photos of some nice displays. As we were leaving the store, a sales person approached us with a suspicious look and started asking questions as to what we were doing there. I am not sure if she thought I had been stealing or she saw me take the two photos (of displays) and was angry. Nevertheless. I explained to her that I myself was a shop owner, was excited to see many of the same designers and admired the merchandising. I told her I actually personally knew some of the designers (which is true) and I thought that might be of interest to her. She was still suspicious. I told her I had just spent the 90 Euros at her shop. She never smiled or apologized. Furthermore, the woman that rang up my sale was unfriendly. When I asked if she could wrap the delicate ceramics, she made no real effort and seemed annoyed. It is really a shame because it is a beautiful store and very well curated. They need some customer service lessons! I am afraid I will not return.

Yelp
We live in Zurich but go to Paris quite regularly. We wanted to see this store which was recently praised about in the French Elle magazine. I must say: Cool !! Only in Paris and London will you find this kind of quality store. Totally in line with what my husband and I are now looking for : High quality products with a huge emphasis on sustainability and fair trade. So if you are fed up with buying "made in China", because your Chinese pot just broke in your hands while the underpaid chinese worker who made it jumped out of the window out of despair, then go to "la tresorerie".
