Visited from Florida and was recommended by someone, so we tried it. We didn't wait long to be seated or for our orders to come out. It wasn't crowded, and we went round 2-3pm. on a Tuesday afternoon. All of our food came out fresh, extremely well seasoned, and good portions. My son and I had the Fajitas and the No Name Dinner. Both meals were fulfilling, and we will be back. No complaints, welcoming atmosphere, and very reasonable prices.

My sister ordered delivery for me for my birthday. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant. But not today!
I ordered steak fajitas, which is what I get when I eat there. The steak was chewy and tough. The beans were running, and the beef, onions, and bell peppers were also very running. The tortillas we're very small compared to what I'm used to getting when I eat inside. I asked for extra beans because I don't like their rice. I didn't get that. I barely got enough of just what comes with the meal. I'm not sure why my order was this bad. This is my first and last time that I'll order delivery from them. I just can't believe how horrible my order was. So no, I don't recommend getting their food delivered!

2nd time here in a long time. The atmosphere was very relaxing and enjoyable. The service was excellent and very friendly. Enjoyed the Margaritas. They have many varieties. The salsa was two fold: spicy and very spicy which was enjoyable. Love the idea of indoor and outdoor seating. Look at their menu and enjoy!

Margaritas are great and the service was fast and friendly. The food is okay, but unmemorable and a little expensive... $4.00 for a fountain drink is a bit outrageous... Also, lots of lettuce?? Definitely disappointed in the guacamole.

I was so excited to be up this way today and finally able to try this place . I have been wanting this place for soooo long . I got the lunch chimichanga, I began to eat my chimichanga, and it was so delicious. I then went for the rice, which was where I messed up. I immediately opened the container of rice, stuck my fork in it and looked, and there was a black curly hair sure enough staring at me completely lost my appetite.
I’m so upset 😭 I can’t even finish my chimichanga 😩😩😩

Food is pretty good and definitely very reasonable, especially at lunch. My only complaint is the service. Every time we've gone we've been seated right away and our order taken, the food delivered almost immediately and then...radio silence. We're lucky if we get anyone to stop back to check on us and the amount of time we have to wait on the check is ridiculous. The last time we went the place had cleared out almost entirely and we still were waiting for the check, with the server nowhere to be seen. I had to flag down another server to go find him.

Food and service were good! Price for 2 meals $40. I would definitely go again. I wouldn’t say it’s my most favorite Mexican restaurant, but if you want good tasting, good size portions of food and fast service with a laid back atmosphere that is inexpensive… this is your place. Salsa was the only thing I would say wasn’t that great. Go early if you don’t care for crowds fills up by 6pm.

Finally tried La Unica Mexican a few weeks ago. The restaurant is visible from 77, accessible off Sam Furr.
After trying I wasn’t really excited to do this review. My husband and I both felt the Mexican food was okay. You can’t help but compare with other Mexican restaurants. For example,
we were the guests of Rio 150 in Mooresville, a few months ago and felt the Mexican flavors were just more distinct-delicious at that location. Perhaps it was what we ordered on our first visit to La Unica. Not sure.
The service was quite good though. The staff is quick to respond with napkins or whatever else you need and to make sure guests have a nice experience.
Perhaps if we try something else, we may feel different. Don’t let this review dissuade away-Give them a try.
Love that they offer the Mexican Coke!
We may be back to see if some other dishes off the menu will be more tasty.
