I was looking for a good local roaster and La Vela Coffee Roasters delivered. They roast every week so everything is fresh, and the prices are very reasonable which makes it an easy choice. Mark was super helpful. He walked me through the different blends and even had me try a few so I could really figure out which one matched my taste. That kind of attention makes a big difference. They also have an online shopping site where you can order directly, but I went in person first because I wanted to find the one I liked. If you are looking for fresh local roasted coffee with great service and fair prices, this is definitely the place to go.

We are the owners of Shanti Kava bar. The bar is primarily a kava bar with coffee/espresso as an alternative for those that don't drink kava. What has happened now is people have found out how incredible the coffee is and it has become one of our best sellers. I have heard comments over and over again that we have the best coffee in St. Augustine. Not only the best coffee but the best people to work with. Can not go wrong with La Vela, I promise you that!
