Amazing atmosphere with some great food. I love their chicken quesadillas, chicken burrito, veggie flour quesadilla, veggie burrito plate. Everything I've tried so far at this location on few others in San Jose, never been disappointed. The only time I didn't like my quesadilla so much was when I got it delivered on Doordash - but again, this is not to blame on any location, having it delivered means you most likely are having your food after about 20-30 minutes, and its bound to get soggy at that point. The ambience, atmosphere and the service are great too. Keep up the good work.

La Victoria Taqueria in Hayward has a nice interior and friendly staff, but the super burrito bowl with pollo asado was disappointing. The chicken was extremely dry and tough, which made it hard to eat. Maybe it was due to takeout, but still unexpected.

Been going to La Victoria in Hayward for a long time at their old location. Liked going there. Everything was pretty and prices were decent but once they moved and built their new modern restaurant on Mission, the prices were raised a lot. I guess the cost for the new -pace and inflation, I guess. This location has enough private parking and place is really fancy with lots of lights and can be seen from the main road on Mission Blvd. Can’t miss it. I love their super nacho fries with carne asada meat. Their fries are a little larger but not steak fries. Sometimes, the fries are a little soggy and other times, the fries are crispy and good when it’s soaked with all the ingredients on top. They are not consistent. I like their super flour quesadillas with carne asada as well but it’s more like a super burrito to me. The flour tortilla is cooked or fried and crunchy, just the way I like it. I like their tacos as well. Better eaten at the restaurant as there have plenty of seats and not always full, and you eat everything fresh. I see more people take to go from here. I always get their famous orange sauce in the bottle to bring home so I can add it to my other other dishes. It’s so good and makes my dishes spicy. Don’t leave this place without it. Service here is quick and food is pretty good. When I get that craving, I do come here.

Ordered online and got really quick service. Their vegetarian options are extensive and delicious. But the best part was the service. Listen, I don’t want to inconvenience anyone with my order and I’m trying to get in and get out with order pick up. I’ve never been so I didn’t know about The SAUCE. One of the staff asked if I wanted to get some salsa and I was just like oh two green ones will be good. She looked at me flabbergasted and was like “you only want two sauces?” And before I could even be like “I guess I’ll take more” she grabbed some orange sauce and threw it in the bag. Thank god for this girl because the sauce made the meal everything I needed and more. First time, soon to be regular.

Breakfast burrito no beans with orange sauce and a pineapple agua. Delicious. Clean place. Great service. Plenty parking.

Google
We come here often for the famous tacos/quesadilla and burritos. Food tastes good. Their orders are slow & servers make a lot of mistakes in taking the order. I would not take a to-go as their famous sauce quantity is limited. The place is clean and has limited parking.

Google
Be aware when you order to go they will not add guac to your super burrito!!! I’ve been a customer for a long time and get burritos here frequently. I always get SUPER burritos because I like guacamole but lately there hasn’t been any guac in my SUPER burrito. definitely feel cheated out on my hard earned money especially when 2 super burritos is $30. La Vic’s lost a loyal customer.

bhavin agrawal

Google
Rude staff as usual. They messed up my order but didn’t want to own it and kept insisting me to accept the order they had prepared. This place has been like this since we have been going there and I can’t take it anymore. They won’t do substitutions either and want to charge for any replacements. There are other better mexican places out there where they warmly welcome you and you also get complimentary stuff like chips and salsa with good food.

Yelp
They never disappont, I commend on them especially the flavors. they are very consistent. I ordered my usual Carne asada super burrito and requested to cut it in half. I like this place, good theme and kinda trendy and also their signature orange sauce! It's to die for! My caviet is the location. This establishment has changed their location a year or so but still they are situated by Hesperian boulevard. I used my Waze app but it kept me on the old address. Hopefully they can managed to contact the Waze app so that the customers will not get lost to the new place.

Yelp
They really need to step up their food quality and service. Ambiance is fine, no different than any other fast-casual restaurant. I've been going to La Vic's for over 10 years now and have watched food portions gradually decrease and quality degrade (was at an average to low level to begin with) while costs increase. I'm worried that they'll start going out of business if this continues. I love the orange sauce and even order boxes of it to share with friends and family. Today, that seems to be the only highlight of this place. My favorites, the super burrito and super nachos, are not what they once were. The taste is diminishing due to lack of quality ingredients, or in some cases, lack of ingredients altogether. Missing ingredients from an order is far too common. Hopefully things improve, and soon!!

Garie B.

Yelp
Place is clean. Overpriced though. The reason why we come here is for the orange sauce but if you really want legit Mexican food with reasonable prices, I'd go elsewhere. I also asked the lady if my quesadilla was included because they all looked like burritos, apparently they roll the quesadillas like a burrito which I found odd. She was a bit annoyed with my question. Oh well.

Yelp
Came here and ordered the Milanesa burrito bowl. It was ready in about 10 minutes and was a bit smaller of a portion than I was expecting. They also charged an extra 75 cents for lettuce without telling me. The milanesa was tender and juicy but the portion was tiny as the pieces were cut up really small to give an illusion that they give you more meat than they actually do. The beans and rice were kind of tasteless and had no flavor. The tomatoes also were pretty flavorless and didn't taste very fresh. Overall, I thought the food here was okay but not worth the $15.

Yelp
Their super flour quesadilla is a must! Make sure you get extra orange sauce too. Everything is good but the only downside is that it's overpriced for what it's worth.

Yelp
Haven't been here in years. But my wife brought a burrito home from here in the middle of the week and it was so good. We came back again Saturday. The location used to be in a strip mall but now they have their own building Very clean, supported by friendly service. A super burrito was 1350. I admit it wasn't the biggest burrito in the world. Got the Carnitas, which was delicious.

Yelp
Longtime fan love the newish place. They moved to this location at least 2 years ago now! Same good food at this fast casual taqueria in a nice new setting. They whip the food up quick. They have vegetarian options as well as all the carne you can grub on... seriously you can't go wrong. The taco's are amazing!

Yelp
Pretty decent, however I feel as though the quality has declined. The menu is on the board, and you order at the counter then pick up your order once it's ready, it's all self service. The location is a bit interesting, with some shady individuals outside, but the interior of the restaurant is nice, clean and modern. I mainly come here for the orange sauce, but it was very salty this time. I ordered the nachos, burrito, and quesadilla. The nachos came with ample toppings, however the chips taste like they are store bought and not home made. They weren't the best. The burrito was mostly beans and rice, with very little meat inside. The quesadilla was pretty decent, but nothing too special. Usually everything tasted better with the orange sauce, but since it was salty, it was a little underwhelming. Unsure if it's just this location, the ones in SJ were always pretty solid.

Yelp
Service was great. Serving, cashier, seating, and kitchen areas look clean and newly remodeled indoor/outdoor. They accepted my mini poodle in the indoor dining area. Place was not super busy--6 customers and 4 more in/out pick-ups. Great for groups! Now let's get down to it -- the food: We got the Carne Asada Plate and shared for 2 people. 1/5 Spanish Rice - dried out and some bits were crunchy as if it had been sitting out under a heat lamp for so long, short grained not long grained 4/5 Refried Beans - there is definitely some fat up in there but good flavor; not bland. 3/5 Carne Asada - flat skirt steak but ligaments and tendons showing. Lacking flavor. Served with shaved lettuce, fresh sliced avocado, and tomato 3/5 Jamaica Drink - I wish it was more tangy for my taste, and it was way too sweet for what I'm used to. They were served out of the traditional glass jars, so that made me interested because they looked very fresh and homemade but definitely would not get again. No free refills which sucks. It was just a stop along the way to a car wash and visiting some friends and it looked decent enough, but I made the mistake of not checking out reviews before sitting down. Good to try but definitely won't be coming back.

Yelp
Yummy Mexican food with delicious salsas. The orange sauce and verde sauce have a great flavor. The orange sauce has a nice kick. Anything you order will satisfy your Mexican food craving. The service is friendly and prompt. Ample seating.

Yelp
Paid for extra meat didn't get it. Went back told the lady there isn't extra meat or sour cream. Just disappointed!! I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK!!! My money spins everywhere.. and if you don't know how to treat your customers you WILL lose them

Renee R.

Yelp
Ordered the Super Nach Fries and in the description it literally says it comes with : black beans, sour cream, gauc, salsa, cheese and choice of meat. I ordered it with steak. Then where you can remove ingredients I removed: salsa, guac, and black beans. Next they have an area where you can add other ingredients so I added more sour cream. At the end, they have an option to choose from if you'd like refried beans or whole beans. I LEFT THAT BLACK, especially since I opted out of black beans. When my food arrived, I had refried beans. I'm allergic to beans so I immediately took Benadryl. I complained to DoorDash but I also needed to let the restaurant know. The lady who answered kept saying it automatically comes with refried beans so that's why I have them. I told her it's not like that on the app. I said, well then ma'am I think you guys have to relook at your menu on DoorDash since it's not lining up with what your menu shows. I was very frustrated. I hope I dont get sick from eating them

Susana C.

Yelp
I will not be going again although the food is good. They charged me $10 extra on a bean and cheese for adding grilled chicken!? First of all she said she could not add meat to it that I would have to pay for a regular burrito. She charged me $12.95 and $0.95 to add cheeses and to remove the rice!? I never like to argue but who wouldn't with that! The lady straight up said that she got into trouble last time for adding meat to a bean and cheese burrito. I asked to speak with her manager and her reply was she's not here. I guess they prefer to lose customers instead of serving their customers. Before I left she had her manager on the phone, I declined because she should have got her manager on the phone before denying my request. I will not ever go back their customer service is terrible!

Yelp
It's been awhile since I've had la Vic's. I've always wanted to try their new building. I will say it's pretty spacious and bright inside. Service was also good and quick. Although I think the quality had gone down for me. First time trying their quesadilla with Al pastor, and it was seeping in grease. It's sad to know that you only get 2 complimentary containers of orange sauce. It might be worth it if you are dining in for unlimited sauce.
google avatar

Yelp
(2.5 out of 5) (Hayward and San Jose) The food here is not good, a 1/5, the ambiance at the new Hayward place isn't bad, and the service is alright, but the orange sauce... 5/5! I'd come here just to get the orange sauce then go to another restaurant and actually get food! When you come get the orange sauce.. let them know Rothyy sent you!
google avatar

Megan C.

Yelp
What I got : Nacho fries with Carne Asada They gave me 2 sauces, and I think that's the standard amount. Fries were decent, not hot but warm. The amount of toppings on the fries were proportional. Meat was good Orange sauce always ties the meal together. I love going to this place, service was fast this time around but during dinner time wait times can be a decent wait maybe like 15 mins? Ambiance is nice, I really like their tileing on the side of the wall where yiu would wait in line. I think this La Vics is one of the better looking ones in the Bay Area.
google avatar

Yelp
I DoorDash three breakfast burritos today. A little hesitant because it was my first time trying this establishment but let me tell you they did not disappoint. I had the chile relleno and it satisfied my craving. We also ordered the ham and egg burrito adding potatoes, it was very fulfilling. I will go in and try a sit down to have more of your delicious food. $50 for 3 burritos but it was door dash so I'm pretty sure it is less in store. Thank you!
google avatar

Nohemy C.

Yelp
I can't emphasize enough how much this place could have used a professional interior designer. They picked 3 different types of tile and just put it everywhere including the bench seating. Design aside, it is impeccably clean and I was surprised that it wasn't busy on a Thursday at lunch time. Our food came out fast. They hand you squirt bottles of salsa when you dine in. They charge you for chips but probably for the best. I ordered a regular burrito bowl with grilled chicken and asked to add lettuce and they charged an extra dollar. The grilled chicken was really dry, as if it was a day old. My friend liked the nacho fries but they were messy. My other friend got 3 tacos with cheese and they were huge! The service was super friendly and professional. Just wish the food was better!

Yelp
As a SJSU alum, La Vic's holds a special place in my heart. This isn't the location that I frequented, however it's much closer to home so that I can get a quesadilla when I'm craving it. The new location looks like a fancy club more than a taqueria. Which I don't feel takes away or adds to the experience. We didn't dine in when we stopped by here last but I did use the restroom. I appreciated how spacious and bright it was. I don't recall it being anything else so I will conclude that it was clean enough lol Most importantly, they have the same menu at all of their locations. The flavors are all there in the food, as well as the orange sauce and the aguas frescas. Yes, there are a ton of delicious taquerias all over the Bay Area. But nostalgia and consistency win me over when I need a delicious steak quesadilla and the famous orange sauce.
google avatar

Tom W.

Yelp
Enjoyable Mexican burrito bowl with equally tasty orange and green sauces. The chips are store bought but the salsa that came with the chips was sliced and tasty. Clean, bright dining area. Friendly staff Good for lunch or a to go
google avatar

Cristal F.

Yelp
When in to La Victorias tonight and there was no wait to order. Restaurant is spacious and plenty of seating. Food came out fast. I ordered the burrito bowl (pastor) and it did not disappoint. Orange sauce never disappoints.

B T.

Yelp
Very clean place. Friendly staff, but sadly the food is average. I ordered a burrito bowl. It came with no sour cream, salsa, or avocado. The bowl was very unappetizing
google avatar

Melanie D.

Yelp
Gotta love La Vic's! Went in during lunch and got a carne asada and pollo asado super burrito. Carne asada was flavorful and delicious! Pollo asado was on the drier side. I asked for rice on the side since I didn't want it in my burrito, but they do not make accomodations.

Yelp
Super clean & spacious location off of mission in Hayward. Took some stars off for service. Older gentleman, cashier very nice and took my order & gave us our drink. Gave me a cup of ice that I requested for. Then we waited for our order. After 10 + min Never called my number. Asked some young girl employees and they saw me, walked away after I asked them , and had the other employee get my order. Was not complete. Had to go back 2 times, one to get utensils then realized after awhile my tortilla chips was not given, went back & said didn't pay for them . They take your receipt so make Sure you know your number. Other than a few employees that are not customer service oriented, La Vics always hits the spot when you have a Mexican food craving.

Yelp
It's been a few years since I've eaten here so I decided to give it a go. I ordered a Super Taco w/ Carnitas. It definitely lived up to its name...lol. Full of meat and tons of ingredients. Was extremely good. I also ordered the Super Burrito w/ Chicken. It was pretty good. It comes with sour cream but there were no traces of it in there which was disappointing. I liked the tortilla. The orange sauce is good. Not too spicy but has a slight kick to it. My Fiancé got a Super Burrito Bowl w/Carne Asada. She liked it but thought it was pretty small for the price we paid. All in all I think it's a good place to eat.
google avatar

Jeremy D.

Yelp
There are way too many taquerias on the block and on Tennyson. Becomes overwhelming to decide which taqueria to eat at. La Vic started in SJ and has been in Hayward for a while now. People love their orange sauce but personally it's whatever's to me. Everything tasted ok but nothing special. I don't like how their guacamole taste, like skimpy/ mixed with other stuff, not chunky. The nacho fries were so oily that the parchment paper disintegrated and we were eating pieces of parchment and off the red plastic bowl. And upon finishing to clean up, there was a pool of oil on the table.
google avatar

Rachelle S.

Yelp
We tried this place for the first time a few weeks ago and everything was very good. We had the super nacho fries, regular burrito, and super taco. Everyone was nice and the restaurant was very clean. Benches are very uncomfortable, but the food made up for it.
google avatar

Amparo M.

Yelp
We are not local to Hayward, but lived there many years. We were driving home, when we saw this place, it catches your eyes due to all the lighting, and glass windows, the place was PACKED. We decided to make a u-turn to try it out. I am sure glad we did! The service was good, and we got our food fast. My husband got a torta de milanesa and I got a chile relleno burrito. The milanesa torta was a little bland and did not have much flavor but it was decent. Everything tasted fresh and it was well put together. Now, the chile relleno burrito was FIRE. It was very simple, a chile relleno, rice, beans and salsa. It was AMAZING. I cant stop thinking about this burrito, might make the drive to Hayward just to eat here again. We will try something else next time we go as the torta was jst BLAH, so my review is based on the burrito we had. The place is very clean, and everyone is very attentive.
google avatar

Tere L.

Yelp
Whenever we're in town we make sure to stop by and stock up on Orange Sauce. 6 bottles of the liquid gold is now safe and sound at home with us after a 5-hour car ride tied up in a bag of ice. As always, the restaurant and restroom were spic and span.
google avatar

Alex B.

Yelp
Seeing that I've been a La Victoria regular down in San Jose whenever I had a craving for the quesadilla and orange sauce, I was happy that Hayward had a location! I've heard this was a newer building as well despite being in the area for a few years. First impressions, the location is very spacious and easy to find, with bright lighting and large windows that let the sun in. I hadn't eaten here late at night so it was nice to dine in when the sun was still up. Usually we don't experience any long lines whenever we visit late afternoons/early evenings so from entering, ordering to sitting down, the food comes out rather quickly. Like in other locations, I ordered my usual Regular Flour Quesadilla with salsa. From the few times I've dined in, the order was just as I wanted it! I don't have high standards when it comes to comfort food but this beats the San Jose location for including the Salsa in the quesadilla each time! Dining in is worth it if you want a large bottle of their famed orange sauce, otherwise take out would only give you small containers of them which may run out halfway through your meal. I only go to La Vics for an eat and go experience and that expectation is met here easily.

Curtis R.

Yelp
Food is ok, would come again Customer service was nothing special. The biggest reason for my rating was that it was expensive and the person helping me lied to me. I asked if they made their chips and the lady told me yes. While I was eating, one of the other workers came with a box a store bought chips... chips were also not good
google avatar

Chance M.

Yelp
Very overpriced. Paid $13 plus tax for a super veggie (felt like regular size average) burrito). Paid another 2.25 plus tax for chips. The taste of the tortilla was something cheap and trans fatty as if outdated or just cheap quality. For $17 total bill, I wish my burrito was bigger, better tasting tortilla and some fajita veggies. There is only one cash register for a large place, no sign "order here" and it's hidden away from the front door. I stood in a line of people who didn't know where the cash register was. Those who knew got ahead of us LOL. Time wasted. Good: modern seating. Looked clean from outside, hopefully inside too. Parking, accessibility and was good. Oh and they care for the environment, all kinds of things waste sorting bins. Summary: after visiting this place and El Buen Sabor, I'm done with trying to find a good burrito in Hayward. I'm going back to Chipotle, it's tasty and affordable, and I can get all veggie fillings.

Mylasia J.

Yelp
La Victoria use to be my favorite restaurant I'd always get pollo asada fries or a pollo burrito and it was good but ever since they moved to a new location I've been finding bits of bone in my burrito the shell and chicken would be undercooked and in the pollo fries sometimes the fries would be undercooked. I gave this place chance after chance and it saddens me that I have to stop eating here.
google avatar

Doug Y.

Yelp
Ambiance is nice with the see through windows and the new interior. Food is pretty good and standard pricing and taqueria food. I just don't like how they charge for chips and have all the utensils behind the counter. Charging for chips is such a downer at any taqueria I go to but its a nice outing.
google avatar

Ebony W.

Yelp
I'd give this a 9/10, I only deducted a point because I love sour cream and I wish there was a little more. Overall the taste of the grilled chicken was bomb! The flavor is definitely there. The size of this bowl was great, I was definitely full after! If you know about their orange sauce then you know!!! Can't wait to try their enchiladas, my co worker said they were bomb!

Rocky B.

Yelp
I ordered a veggie burrito and it had a piece of beef in it. This place has no idea that veggie folks don't eat any meat and especially beef. The owners of this place has to understand the emotions behind being vegetarian. If you did this to any Indian who is a Hindu then they will never step into this restaurant because cows are sacred in their religion. Pathetic service and food
google avatar

Jerome A.

Yelp
what could improve? the portions. if people are paying over 5 deng dollars for extra meat, i want meat seaking thru. but no, it looks like a regular a** burrito. ripping people off for adding meat. look at this pic. does this look like 2 different meats to you? next
google avatar

Andres H.

Yelp
First of all. They get you with the prices. Up charge for the drink and chips. Also i got no limones when i ordered my food. Me and my friends ordered a super burrito and we were missing cheese, sour cream, guacamole, and the fresh salsa. The rice was old and tasted bad and the beans were also not great. The tortilla was also bad and soggy. Would not recomend. My friend also got a quesadilla and got a soup instead.
google avatar

Ron V.

Yelp
Man, that orange sauce is just something else. Breakfast burritos are great so is the carne asads super burrito. But my fav is the supper flour quesadilla.

Fernando V.

Yelp
First time at the new location in Hayward, I been coming here for years!!! And wanted a Vic's burrito, damn I was disappointed!! The quality has went down, flour tortilla tasted raw and meat had no taste in it. But one thing that got me was the customer service, that's why I'm writing this review, all the girls are rude and have a stink face on them, especially the girl with the purple/blue hair, the owner needs to have a talk with her and them, VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I will not be return!! Then how stingy They are with the sauce, my bill was $55 and I ask the girl (Rosa) how many do I get with my order she said 6 and I was ok with that, I got my food and they didn't give me the Togo sauces, I went back to the counter and ask and the girl with the purple/hair said no you can get 4, it's an extra charge, we kept going back and forth with it, so I said that's fine I'll pay for it and put the money on the counter, she is very rude and should not talk to people with her nasty tone and face expressions!!

Yelp
Hubby and I was in the area and I was getting a little hungry. I decided to stop in to grab something to eat. I heard about their orange sauce and how great it was, so I ordered a bottle of that and their super nachos with chicken. When Hubby and I got home we ate and it was sooo delicious! We really enjoyed the nachos that we got. We came back at another time because Hubby wanted a burrito, so we came to grab a super burrito for him and an enchilada plate for me. In honesty, we both had better. Their nachos the first time we had was amazing, the sauce is bomb, but the burrito was just OK and so was the enchiladas. I was totally disappointed as it was a bit dry. Service there was good though, the staff was really kind and patient with us. Big dining area and a lot of light. We may come back to try something else and definitely getting the orange sauce again, but will not be getting the burrito or enchiladas again.
google avatar

Allie P.

Yelp
Super burrito w/ carne asada was okay -- for my personal preference, it was missing onions, cilantro, and I would have wanted the traditional red and green salsa to go with it. They provided a lot of meat which was nice and none of it was chewy or icky. There were parts that I didn't eat as it was just tortilla. The orange salsa that is supposed to be what they're known for I think was not bad, but I usually don't opt for sauces that look like that - it definitely added flavor that the burrito was lacking just on its own. This was a to-go order and I did find that the containers their salsa came in was kind of cool - its a film you peel off -- some of them were really difficult to peel though so I would stab the top with something sharp, but these took up less trash by not having those plastic lids. I was originally wanting tacos, but those also were not offered with cebolas y cilantro at all which I found strange. I still think LA has the best Mexican food - I typically would get mine from street stands or food trucks.

Manny S.

Yelp
The food here is very overpriced and portions are really small. All of the extra condiments are over priced and they even charge for extra sauce packets. Trying to nickle and dime every customer

Yelp
Avoid, gave them another shot after they left a piece of bone in My veggie burrito and chipped my tooth. Same bad service, abuela behind the glass was very rude. Bag of chips ripped open from the salsa that wasn't closed. Old location was better before the gentrifiers came around.

Yelp
I dont like leaving bad reviews but man this is getting worse it's a waste of money at this point. We loved coming here but unfortunately lately it's been worse and worse. Today we got a quesadilla with no cheese. Had to go back to get another and well the picture can speak for itself.

Yelp
Well the new place is clean outside and inside and the bathroom is immaculately super clean compared to all the Mexican restos out there. That deserves 5 stars i deed. Now the food and service :)...I ordered the super taco al pastor and that was delicious.and decided to order the beef and see if it will satisfy my Super Taqueria taste buds But it was not the same even tho it looks the sane :). My friend got the al pastor huge burrito and no complaints coz yes the al pastor was yummy and we had the juices which really good. I gave them 4 stars for cleanliness and friendliness but please give us free chips or make a combo with it thank you kindly . Went back and tried the food again and it was okay this time. :)

Yelp
The Orange Sauce makes everything so good! I can see why people buy bottles of this to use at home. I'd give the sauce itself 4 stars and the food 3 stars. I ordered the Super Nacho Fries with Carne Asada. The first few bites were good, but I had a hard time finishing it myself. Overall, it had a little too much sour cream and cheese for me. The fries were okay, but I found that it tasted better with the orange sauce.

Yelp
Not sure why such bad reviews. Really good food. Worst thing is parking. Seemed like it can get crammed QUICK. Luckily we took one of the last spots. I ordered a Mexican coke and a carne asada burrito and it was fantastic. Food was great. Their signature orange sauce was quite good too. Not exactly spicy, but kind of adds their own unique taste to their food, it was a bit expensive for the bottle though ($8). The burritos ingredients blended very well though with none of it being all globbed up on one side of the burrito. If I'm in the area again, I'll be here!
