It has been a long time since we had such beautifully crafted dishes that taste delicious too! The wine pairing by sommelier Max is on point and elevated all the dishes. Lovely service team and will highly recommend to other friends visiting Taiwan!

My friend recommended La Vie, and I’m SO glad I went. My brother brought a bottle of Chateau-Figeac Grand Cru St. Émilion, and we ordered a bottle of Le Macchiole Paleo, recommended by Max, the Sommelier. It paired very well with the seafood courses. I was very impressed with the attention to details of the food presentation. The two most striking ones were the poached white peach with makauy and the scallop tartare with thinly sliced bamboos perfectly arranged in a circle with tiny green leaves adorning the end of each slice. Not only were they artistically presented, but they were also delicious! The tomato & rhubarb bonbon was a pleasant surprise. It was hard to imagine what to expect when looking at it, but once in your mouth and you break the shell, you can taste the aromatic tomato liquid. This was one of the most creative and delectable dishes of the evening! Service was impeccable: the wait staff were VERY attentive! Glasses of water and wine were never empty. EVERY time one of us left the table, someone folds the napkin, and upon return, someone is ready to pull out the chair for you. In one instance, my napkin slid down to the floor; I picked it up and was folding it when instantly the waitress brought me a new napkin. La Vie’s service was far superior to the one I received at the 3 Michelin star Le Bernardin in New York City! At the end of our dining experience, we had the pleasure of meeting Executive Chef Xavier and congratulating him on his remarkable culinary skills. The food and the service were outstanding; I will come back again next time I’m in Taiwan. La Vie deserves a Michelin star or two!

Every dish is delicately crafted and sophisticated, each one resembling a piece of art. Personally, I loved the sourdough—it's simply a pure joy when paired with their seaweed butter. The menu flows seamlessly, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the meal. You can feel the chef's personality and solid foundation in every bite. The service is professional and top-notch, with a keen attention to detail that elevates the dining experience. It's not just a meal; it's a feast for the senses, engaging visually and aromatically. This was an exceptional culinary experience.👏👏👏

Staffs were welling trained, professional and experienced. Service was beyond perfect, everything is tidy and clean. Each dish looked like they are an individual art piece, but just some dishes were quite salty, even tho there were breads for us to enjoy but still the saltiness wasn’t able to neutralize. Other then that everything were perfect!

Short, heavily flavored, starchy and hearty Continental set course served by excellent staff in a comfortable modern space with high ceilings and geometrically-consistent patterns all around. Wine by the glass is served parsimoniously - the police of Taiwan thank them for the lack of generosity.

Best fine dining restaurant in Taipei. Every dish has classic French base yet characterized surprising elements. Would definitely come again.

This place was un-freakin-believable. If you're a fan of xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) or not, come here and be transported. Far better than Din Tai Fung (which is also delicious!). On a weeklong visit to Taipei, I came here twice. Twice. To go anywhere twice on a trip to a place you don't live is crazy, especially in a city with food as good as Taipei. Nevertheless, I had to come back. My friends and I shared a lot of stuff, but the most memorable was the xiaolongbao. They make a variety of flavors, but the most interesting was the basil. The wrapper/dough is green with basil, which adds a wonderful, lightening dimension to the pork soup help inside. Another favorite was the spicy bao, in a red wrapper -- a real kick to it. Wash it all down with delicious Taiwan Beer, order another few baskets, and enjoy magnificent Taiwan cuisine.
