We stayed at La Villa Calvi for one week. The staff were extremely thoughtful and kind. We loved sitting out at the pools and the our room was very large and comfortable. The hotel is very close to the town (about a 15 minute walk). The staff for breakfast are very outgoing and treat you like family. They always know your name and are very welcoming. We felt very taken care of. The breakfast was great and the views from the tables at breakfast are breathtaking. We also enjoyed cocktails at the same tables. In terms of improvement, it was a bit off putting the extra charges for a shuttle to town (22 euros/day for a two or three minute ride and 60-75 euros per class). The hotel is quite expensive and these charges seem unnecessary. However, we definitely would stay here again and very much loved Calvi more than anywhere else in Corsica.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at La Villa Calvi. Our room was excellent; the views from the hotel in general were wonderful; the service was excellent, and the food was top-notch! Had dinner there were some problems with wasps the management very kindly supplied us with electric flyswatters which did the job!!!

We spent 2 weeks in Corsica and this was our favorite stay. We should have stayed longer to enjoy the area. Reception is warm and welcoming. The room was luxurious and quite spacious for a junior suite. ||The concierge is phenomenal. Their restaurant and activity recommendations are extremely thorough. They helped us arrange a local wine tour (again highly recommend). ||A special thank you to the team for assisting a taxi driver in Paris who found one of our bags at Orly airport. Their swift communication and willingness to coordinate with the driver saved me from what could have been a stressful situation. I was amazed by how effortlessly they handled it, showing their commitment to excellent customer service.||Beyond that, the hotel itself was immaculate. Views are great. As mentioned the rooms were spacious, nicely designed, had great amenities, and well-maintained. Photos on website are accurate (at least for our room). Balcony was large. Photo is the view of the port from our room.

Supremely overpriced for what they offer and the location. There’s no beach. The gym is a joke with no bench and nothing but a couple of treadmills. The breakfast has mostly only cereal and some cold meats. Eggs, pancakes and anything you want hot has to be bought!! There was no milk/creamer in the room to make coffe. I asked for some and was charged $9 for it 🤨||Dinner is perhaps the worst thing about the restaurant. Below average food at Michelin prices. €50 for a plate of vegetables with 3 small carrots and a bunch of bitter radishes. Horrible service too, the waitress kept pushing us to order more even we said we don’t want anything else. The wait staff is mostly all teenagers so the service is spotty. The experienced wait staff is grouchy but the youngsters are sweet even though they understand much English.||We went to the other Relais Chateaux for dinner one night and found the service and the food there much, much better. ||Do not recommend this hotel all if you are from the US and value good service.

Delightful resort nestled on the hill, with spacious rooms/suites, overlooking the Fortress and bay below. The owner has filled the hotel with many art pieces that are intriguing. Bathrooms are spacious and luxurious. Our room had a nice balcony overlooking the Mediterranean. Meals in the dining room were exceptional. The breakfast buffet was also exceptional. The spa and pools were welcoming and relaxing.

My wife and I spent 4 nights at La Villa Calvi for our honeymoon. The room was very spacious with a stunning sea/mountain view balcony. The staff, from cleaners to managers, were all excellent and were all polite and friendly. Breakfast was superb, and the food at both restaurants (the beach and the main hotel) we found delicious. True luxury.

The hotel is beautiful; however, I would not recommend and would not go back. ||FYI (decide for yourself):|- Screaming children at the pool every day, all day. If you have screaming children, I assume this is a pro. For us, a con.|- There are charges for many things which was unexpected given its a 5* hotel, for example 9 euros additional for eggs, 20+ euro for shuttle to town, 20+ euro for beach chairs. ||Cons:|- Concierge!!: |1) 1 one month before arriving I asked the hotel to arrange a dinner reservation for us on our last night. They did. On the day of the reservation, the restaurant called the hotel to confirm, the hotel called us, and we said yes, we're going. The hotel did NOT call the restaurant back to confirm. So, we drove 20 min to the restaurant where they explained they did not have space for us. La Villa had several times (including night prior) made reservations for guests who did not honor them at this restaurant which is a small operation. After standing there awkwardly for 45 minutes calling the hotel and restaurant, the restaurant was kind enough to accommodate us at a make-shift table. |2) The day prior, we asked the hotel to arrange a reservation for us in the morning. They did not call us until 6pm (why did this take all day). When they called they said its not possible, there is no space. We walked right up to the restaurant and were seated immediately. |3) Another restaurant recommendation we got was not good (less bothered by this as its subjective).|- Screaming children||Pros/highlights:|- lunch at hotel pool|- cocktails|- breakfast each morning |- views, cleanliness |- received a free room upgrade due to a cancellation|- free parking and EV charging

Very attentive and polite staff, great decor containing some amazing art, and blessed with the most incredible view across the bay. Very relaxing wonderful pool and bar area. |… only why on earth is a 5 star hotel charging a €9 supplement at breakfast for eggs? (2 boiled, scrambled or omelette??!!) 🤷🏻‍♂️
