La Villa Saint-Germain-des-Prés (Paris, Île-de-France) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"La Villa Saint Germain des Prés is a well-designed stay in the heart of the Left Bank, surrounded by bookshops, galleries, and easygoing cafés. Just a short walk from the Louvre and Musée d’Orsay, the hotel sits at the intersection of culture and daily Parisian life. Inside, the 31 rooms feature Paris-themed wallpapers, vintage photographs, and custom ceramics add texture and warmth. Views vary from lively Rue Bonaparte to the rooftops of Saint-Germain. While there is no restaurant, the bar and room service cover the essentials. It is a design-conscious base in one of Paris’s most walkable quarters." - Tablet Hotels

Absolutely incredible end-to-end. I stayed here for 4 night. I highly recommend staying here for your Paris visit, I am already planning to come back. The location is excellent only minutes walking distance to the Louvre, le Marais, notre dame and many of the famous gardens and sights that make up Paris. Now onto my highlights, the hotel staff. From night one I felt completely welcomed, and comforted by all the staff members. Particularly Olivier has an excellent eye to customer details. He gave me recommendations on sights and local restaurants to visit, whilst preparing me delightful cocktails at the hotel bar. His attention to detail, warmth and conversation truly made my stay wonderful. I was also greatly helped by Kumar, who on my last night went out of his way to make me a special Parisian coffee with whipped cream. Other staff members I was not able to get their name but were equally wonderful at reception, room service and the likes. The hotel itself was chic and bespoke only having around 20 odd rooms. Meaning it never felt crowded or busy. There was always an air of comfort and relaxation, a slow way of living and being in this hotel which I particularly loved. Thanks again! I am already planning my return trip in 2026.

We just returned from a wonderful 3 week stay at La Villa.| Saint Germaine is our neighborhood when in Paris, our home away from home, and "home" is the way the staff at La Villa made us feel. The interior design is classic Paris Chic, very hip, with bonus spa, sauna and mini pool. The decor and amenities are cool, but it's the people, the staff, that really makes for an exceptional vacation. I would like to mention 3 people by name who made it so memorable. Clement and Julio, concierges, and Marie Therese, who greeted us every morning at breakfast with sunshine and a smile. They are why we will back in the Spring.|Merci beaucoup to everyone at La Villa Saint Germaine. |Laurentz & Marianna|Fairfax, Virginia

What an amazing stay at the La Villa starting with the most welcoming front desk and concierge. It is one of the few European hotels where the rooms are truly soundproof from the street noise, and you hardly hear the other guests closing their doors. Their guest bath towels were the thickest of any hotels, and of course, the Dyson hairdryer was definitely a luxury especially for those who owned one at home. This was my second trip to Paris, and the location was perfect for touring the Left Bank and a short and pleasant walk to the Louvre and Notre Dame. This hotel deserves a 5 star rating for their exceptional staff and overall guest experience!!

Google
Check-in & Service I arrived in the evening when only the concierge was present, but my request for a mattress topper and an extra blanket (I prefer soft beds) was handled within 10 minutes. Even without housekeeping on site, the staff quickly found a solution — a huge plus. Special highlights and thanks to Thomas and Miss Olga for their kindness and helpfulness. Room Spacious for Paris and very comfortable. My only suggestion would be to replace the large glass desk with a smaller, more practical table to free up space for luggage. The toilet felt unusually high, but not a major issue. Bathroom was spacious with Le Labo amenities, Dyson hairdryer, robes, and slippers. Towels were high-quality but a bit too heavy for my preference. I would also suggest adding a pillow menu, including orthopedic options, since current pillows were all similar in firmness. Chromecast-enabled TV was a great plus. Noise & Comfort Soundproofing was very good — as someone sensitive to noise, I felt comfortable and undisturbed. Facilities Spa area was nice: small pool (I wish it was slightly warmer), good sauna with a pleasant scent, and a small gym. Breakfast Good quality, but a limited selection, especially for longer stays. I’d suggest adding more fresh vegetables and fruits ☺️ Special Occasion I celebrated my birthday during my stay, and while the hotel left a card and a small chocolate as a nice gesture but I think it would be great to make such occasions feel more special, and this could be an area for improvement🥰 Overall Experience This hotel has become one of my favorites in Paris and even in Europe. Cozy, calm atmosphere, excellent service, and comfortable rooms. While there’s room for minor improvements, my stay was a solid 9/10, and I will definitely return on my next trips to Paris.

My husband and I planned our Paris trip to celebrate our 10th anniversary and we could have not chosen a better hotel. 5 stars can't do justice for this place. Great and safe location with lots of cafés, restaurants , beautiful gallaries and proximity to major attractions is cherry on top with amazing hotel perks. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very clean hotel , amazing breakfast and very friendly staff and they really went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. We were very touched with the decorations the staff did for us on our very special day 😊 We never had any issues during our stay at this beautiful hotel. Highly recommend this place specially it's your first time traveling to Paris. We can't wait to come back and stay again at this place 😊

Yelp
Oh my! This gem was completely remodeled, recently opening. The location in Paris is A+. The service is off the charts (think Four Seaaons or Aman), incredibly well trained, friendly staff. The concierge staff was always available, making last minute bookings look effortlessly (however, I would use them to plan ahead). While many rooms in Paris are small, the junior suite provided a nice respite from the bustling city with ample room We did not include breakfast, there are many nearby cafes serving amazing pastries. However the "clubby and cozy" bar is a treat for a glass of wine later in the evening. TIP- ask the concierge for favorite and unique shopping tips, as well as local bistros off the beaten path.

Yelp
Amazing location-- tons of food options just outside the door as well as a laduree across the street. Love the boutique feel. Simple decor but very clean. Felt very safe.

Yelp
Ever since I 'discovered' the 6th, I've been calling Villa St Germaine home--that is when they have availability. This is a great boutique hotel situated in 'action central.' two short blocks from nearly everything, including the settings for several events found in Dan Brown's "The Da Vinci Code." While the standard rooms are modestly priced, they are small even by Parisian standards but the rooms are well appointed and clean. The junior suites, however, are adequate. The staff is first rate and the property lives-up to it's four star service level. Properties situated in older buildings tend to be quirky. La Villa's quirkiness rests solely with it's closets in general, and lack of adequate hanging space in particular. Moreover, they use the annoying hangers that are affixed to the closet bar. I would prefer they just told guests in advance of how many hangers were in each room, and that the guests would be charged if any the hangers were missing. Add a euro or two to the cost of the hangers, and the property should encourage guests to loot the hangers. Across the street from this property is the better Laduree. Better from my perspective because it isn't as congested as the Champ Elysee location and the macaroons and teas are just as good. Two blocks from the hotel are the infamous Café de Flor and Les Deux Magot, the dueling cafes visited by some literary luminaries of Christmases past such Ernest Hemingway, Artists along the lines of Picasso were also known to be sedentary visitors of the cafes. The list of things to do and places to see in St Germaine runs too long for my lazy derriere to list. One thing is certain though, La Villa St Germaine makes a great home base whenever you need a Parisian excursion; and yes everyone needs al least one Parisian excursion per year.

Yelp
This is an excellent little boutique hotel that is centrally located in the middle of everything. The staff is excellent and very accommodating and extremely helpful and sweet. The rooms are small but comfortable. The bathrooms are small but well organized. Shower only. No bathtub. The towels are soft and of good quality. You are given a robe to use and slippers to keep. The downstairs lobby has a little "bar" sitting area that is very cozy. It was raining so they gave us umbrellas to use. I booked my room through travelocity which saved me about $50 a night. I recommend this little hotel.

Yelp
I stayed here for 4 night , single female traveler and it was beyond perfect . Looooved it . Location is ideal. Staff is wonderful. I absolutely loved my room. The only problem was there are no plugs in the bathroom for a hairdryer or flat iron . I had to my lamps in order to do my hair

Yelp
Great hotel in a great location. Very nice rooms. This is a small hotel and feels quiet and private even thought you're right in the middle of the city with easy access to most major sites. What made this an especially good hotel was that the group of us traveling were able to hang out in a mostly unused small front lounge area. Almost every night we brought in a bottle of wine and some bread and cheese and relaxed in the lounge area before heading out for the night. The staff were very accommodating and provided glasses, ice, and corkscrews when we needed them (we tipped well since they were so helpful). Would definitely go back.

Yelp
My favourite place to stay in Paris. Quiet and clean rooms with quirky decor. I wish the prices were lower but feel the dependable service and central quiet location are worth the splurge from time to time. It sits across the street from laduree which means that fresh (amazing) pastries are a stones throw away!

Yelp
Our first time at this hotel- it was perfect. The small, intimate size, the most ideal location and the service was outstanding. Always greeted with a smile by extremely knowledgeable and helpful staff. Rooms are small as most Parisian hotels are- very clean and up to date. I highly recommend this hotel.

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay here with our daughter (age 7). The hotel was in a quiet easy to access from all points neighborhood and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and really beautiful. Though pricier then others in Paris we were happy we spent the extra money and felt completely at home in the beautiful 6th arr. The queen bed and pull out sofa bed arrangement was perfect for the three of us. There were also plenty of great restaurants walkable in the area not to mention Notre Dame and the Louvre. Thank you.

Yelp
Amazing location, in center of St. Germaine De Pres, walking distance to great eateries, coffee shops (Laduree), interior design stores and metro . Love the atmosphere of the hotel, hip decor, clean well designed rooms and fairly quiet even though you are in center of a hip area. Loved this place and would definitely return.

Yelp
What a great hotel and staff! Great location and so quiet even though it is so convenient to everything. The room was small but very nicely appointed. The staff is really excellent, very friendly, and responsive to every request or question. Would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
This small hotel is a gem. Perfect Left Bank location. Quiet and clean modern rooms. Lobby great for meeting friends or reading a book with some tea. Celia at the front desk was available to help with any needs or recommendations, and every member of the staff was friendly and always ready to offer assistance.

Yelp
Spent a pleasant week at this hotel in a "Rooftops of Paris" room. Relatively spacious by European standards. Friendly staff. Clean and modern. Nice small bath. The bed mattress was firm but that was fine with me. Would stay in this hotel again without a second thought.

Amber S.

Yelp
I was so happy we decided on this hotel for our week long stay in Paris-the location couldn't have been better! The metro and a variety of cafes are about a 2 minute walk away and Laduree is directly across the street. Every night we'd go on a walk around the neighborhood and after the full week agreed that this was the best area to stay in. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable but sometimes a bit warm at night. We left the window open and it did let in a nice breeze-but it was a tad noisy to leave it open all night. (They do have built in AC units as well.) The bathroom was MUCH larger than expected-I'm used to tiny cramped showers in Europe-but the room we stayed in had a full shower/bath. Only downside was that there were no outlets in the bathroom so I had to use my curling iron in the bedroom. If I'm ever in Paris again I wouldn't hesitate to stay here.
