The 16 Best Restaurants On Capri - Capri - The Infatuation

"La Zagara is located in the heart of Anacapri, with lunch and dinner served beneath the Casa Mariantonia hotel’s lemon grove. Their standout linguini with lobster and seafood is the perfect pasta dish for a warm summer evening. Desserts are high-concept executions of familiar island ingredients, like summer figs served with caramelized walnuts and orange ricotta mousse quenelles. The wine list here is deep, and you can start or end your evening with a glass at their small bar around the corner. Reservations are required for dinner, so make sure to book in advance." - gillian mcguire

Overall a really nice and fun experience. To be expected a tourist spot but with a very welcoming and nice staff. All very attentive and helpful during the entire experience. Food was good and priced as expected. Most of the table had steak - one person in our party seemed to have a issue with the steak and the staff without question removed it from the bill, asked several time if they wanted another one or something else. The entertainment was fun and engaging however after the first hour seemed a little overwhelming. But very friendly. I would recommend and go back - with expectation of it being a tourist destination.

We had a very pleasant evening with a special dessert recommended by our waiter, very kind and service oriented (Argentinian sorry for missing the name). We chose the dessert degustation since it was late at night and even suggested blankets for the cold evening. A very special place with a beautiful atmosphere under Capri lemon trees.

Amazing place for dinner! Loved it! Much better lemon experience than Da Paolino in my opinion. More private and intimate. Food was great. The interior really was the best part but also food & staff were amazing. Definitely add it to your list!

This Italian restaurant offers a romantic ambiance beneath lemon trees. The cozy setting and friendly staff enhance the dining experience, making it a worthwhile destination for visitors to Anacapri. For dinner, reservations are highly recommended.

This is such a pleasant atmosphere. The staff is on their toes but I was disappointed by the fish I ordered, very small portion and dry. They charge a cover €6 per person. The celebratory aspect was a nice touch with the sparkler.

Words fall short to describe the atmosphere. La Zagara is a hidden gem nestled among Sicilian lemon trees. I had a family dinner there, and everything was impeccable. The best restaurant I visited in Capri.

Google
I was expecting a restaurant in a lemon grove but this is more an outside restaurant with lemon trees around it. It’s a pretty restaurant with great service and good food but definitely in a busier touristy and residential area than I was expecting. Enjoyed our food though and had a great server.

The setting of the restaurant is very pleasant, as you dine surrounded by lemon trees. The food is nicely presented but of rather average quality and served in small portions (the starters are really minimal for the price). The pasta sauce lacked flavor. The bill was extremely high (€275 for 5 covers, 2 starters to share, 5 main courses including 3 pastas, 2 glasses of wine, and 4 bottles of water). The service was friendly and helpful. Overall, it is overpriced, but that seems to be the case with most restaurants on Capri Island.

Yelp
We had lunch here among the lemon trees. The setting was beautiful. I felt like I was here for a wedding. The pastas we liked: * Ravioli capresi: tomato, basil, and mozzarella * Fettuccini with lemon and shrimp * Spaghetti with sea urchin * Tortellini with shredded beef For dessert, we had a lemon mousse and it was delicious as well. Most of the staff is young, and they can still learn the nuances of mediocre service vs. great service (1 star off). They took our orders, brought our food, cleared our plates, etc., but there was something missing...sincerity perhaps? Note: There is a €6 cover charge per person. For that cover charge, I would have expected *great* service.

Yelp
Amazing evening of great wine, food and service! Take the time to connect with the friendly team and learn some of the history of this family owned gem in Anacapri.

Yelp
We stopped on our walk because the view from here was so beautiful. We saw all the staff wearing black and white and thought we are in trouble but they had a lunch menu that was very reasonable. We had a chicken salad sandwich and pizza. The sandwich we continue to talk about today. It was by far the best sandwich and one of the biggest surprises of the trip. The sandwich and chips were €9 and we sat right on the rail overlooking the valley and ocean. Had this been closer to our hotel we would have been back here many times. We will certainly be back.

Yelp
We came to this restaurant on the recommendation of our hotel. Elegant and beautiful setting, with tables in a grove of lemon trees (zagara means "citrus blossom"). We started with the burrata and tomatoes. Absolutely stunning. Each bite was so fresh and flavorful. Unlike any burrata you can find in the US. Paired perfectly with the Pinot Bianco they sell by the glass. We moved on to the lamb and fried octopus/shrimp. Both were another level of delicious. This place is on the fancier side, with formally dressed waiters and an expensive menu, but absolutely worth it. A very special dining experience that we will not soon forget.

Yelp
Beautiful setting under the Lemon Trees. Best service at any restaurant. Food was fabulous. Buffalo Mozzarella & Tomatoes best on the island.

Yelp
Beautiful setting near town center, modern. Surrounded by lemon trees. Had the seafood pasta dish with lobster and clams. Beautiful. The seafood appetizer offered little tastes and beautifully prepared but hard to share. Unique tastings. First go for atmosphere then food.

Yelp
We stopped in late on a Thursday night, as it was one of the few places still open. They had a nice selection of wine, but the beer menu was pretty short. I've found that to be common among the places in anacapri.

Johnny C.

Yelp
Best food in the area served in the most charming lemon grove by well-trained, professional staff members.

Maya K.

Yelp
My friend and I went here for drinks and the staff was very rude to us because we didn't want to order food. We got some dirty looks and ended up paying €40 for two glasses of wine, so they definitely overcharged us. The scenery was the only good thing about the experience, not so much the waiters.

Yelp
Adorable little restaurant on top of one of the mountains of Anacapri (amazing views on the way up). The place feels magical as you sit underneath the lemon trees and breath in the fresh air. Enjoyed some white wine and dessert (very unique flavors, very refreshing), and finished our time with a shot of limoncello.

Yelp
Save your money. While the food and service was fine, it does not come close to justifying the ridiculously over priced menu items. You get the typical small portions restaurants like this always get away with. Most of the dishes are prepared from frozen foods, per the asterisks on the menu. Setting is nice, garden atmosphere with lots of lemon trees, no great view. Charging a 4.50 euro per person cover just adds insult to injury

Yelp
Stumbled on this wine bar while walking through anacapri. It is a small place but looked cool with all the exposed wine bottles. We had at a table with stools and were promptly greeted. For drinks we ordered the barrolo and monteplesciano. You can't go wrong with the wine here. Awesome. Since it is not a full menu but only small bites, We ordered different bruschetta's. Some included gorgonzola, ricotta, caponata, etc. they were very good. We then tried the saltibocca which was essentially a caprese sandwich panini style. It was also very flavorful. Finally we had the chocolate mousse and the baba. The baba was sort of like a pound cake soaked in some sort of syrup. This is a local favorite. The chocolate mousse was also very good. Great 4 star place and i would suggest it to anyone visiting anacapri. Ciao!!

Yelp
This was tremendous experience. The baccalá frita in tempura was the best codfish I have ever tasted. Surrounded by lemon trees was an incredible experience. I highly recommend it.

Yelp
Had a fantastic dinner last night. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and the lemon garden was a nice place to be. Had the eggplant parm to start and it was really good. Then had the pork belly. Was amazing.

Yelp
Excellent little wine bar in anacapri, the guys that work there are so sweet and know lots about the wines. We enjoyed local wine, some grappa and some of their bruschetta. All very good. A nice place to go after dinner in this sleepy little town.

Yelp
This was the best food we've had in Italy-between Rome, Positano and all of Capri! We started off with the beef tartare, which was so fresh! It was perfectly paired with shaved truffle. My fiancée got the lemon shrimp fettucelle, which he said was absolutely amazing. I got the yellowjack fillet, which was perfectly cooked. The skin was so crispy and buttery, and tasted so amazing (I usually leave skin). The eggplant it was paired with was like a better baba ganoush. To top everything off, we ate surrounded by lemon trees. Such a great place!

Yelp
You have to come to this place if you are staying in Anacapri!!! Best food ever. Lemon trees all over the place and the food is to die for!!!!!!!!!

Yelp
Ate there last night....August 24 2019. Service and ambiance was exquisite. Table was set under the lemon trees. The fragrance of citrus in the air just added to the beauty of the evening. For the appetizer we order Burrata salad, with arugula and tomatoes. The dish couldn't have been more fresh. For the entrees, we ordered Gnocchi and Pasta with shrimp. Portion sizes were perfect in that no one felt that they overate. For dessert we had Limoncello shots served in a frozen glass and fresh fruit with gelato. Definitely an incredible meal. Would love to go back, but the food in throughout the Isle of Capri is INCREDIBLY AMAZING!!!
