We had planned to celebrate our friend’s birthday at LABRI on 30 October, but Hanoi was hit with heavy rain and flooding that day. It was our last evening in the city, and unfortunately, we were stuck in the hotel as there were no Grab rides available to take us to the restaurant.
Despite the situation, when I updated the restaurant about our delay, their reply wasn’t just transactional—it was thoughtful. They reminded us to take care and be mindful of the weather, which felt so genuine and reassuring.
What touched us most was that LABRI waited for us right up until their final order cut-off, even though they could have closed and gone home. We felt so grateful—and also a little guilty—that the staff stayed on just for us. Out of respect, we tried to finish our food quickly so they wouldn’t be held back, but never once did they make us feel rushed.
The service was meticulous and heartfelt. The team took the time to explain each dish carefully, even when it was late. And after dinner, when we struggled again to book a car in the bad weather, one of the staff members didn’t just leave us to figure it out. She stayed with us and even tried to help book a car using her own local app—going above and beyond what we could have expected.
Thank you, LABRI, for your kindness, patience, and excellent service. You made our trip a little brighter despite the stormy weather, and we’ll remember this experience for a long time.
