Labriola Ristorante and Cafe Review - Magnificent Mile - Chicago - The Infatuation

"Ever wish you could have been in certain rooms when important historical decisions were being made? We do. Some of those instances include the White House Situation Room during the Cuban Missile Crisis, Portland Trailblazers “war room” when they took Sam Bowie over Michael Jordan, or the 2006 meeting where movie executives decided that former N.W.A member Ice Cube was the perfect fit for a family fun movie full of laughs (“Are We Done Yet?” - 3.9 IMDB rating). Well you can add a new one to the list, because we wish we could have told the people who decided to pour all their money into Labriola Ristorante that it was a bad idea. And our guess is they poured a lot of money into this place, because it’s off of Michigan Avenue and Grand, and it’s massive, which you realize after seeing the large dining room hidden behind what already feels like a big space. If you’re familiar with the Purple Pig, Labriola is similarly situated on the upper part of Grand before it transitions below. The restaurant is split into the “Cafe” and “Ristorante.” The cafe is a glorified Panera, and it is what it is. If you work in the area, are a tourist, or happen to be doing touristy Michigan Avenue things, then we can maybe see popping in for a quick sandwich or coffee on the cafe side while on the go. But the Ristorante part would be a waste of your time. Simply put - it’s bad food. Pizza that disappoints, squid ink pasta that needs to be rethought, and poorly executed appetizers all make you shrug your shoulders while saying meh. We know there’s a successful location in Oak Brook, but it feels like they took a strip mall concept and stuck it into prime Michigan Avenue space. We get it, there’s a tourist population to cater to, but Labriola has a serious dining room meant for full-blown serious dinners. There’s no reason for anyone to pay $25-$30 for entrees or $50 for steaks and chops at a place like this. If you’re going to spend that kind of money on food, spend it somewhere else. Food Rundown Prosciutto Wrapped Chicken Panini It's an OK sandwich. The chicken is a little cafeteria lunch meat-like, but it's grilled well with solid oven roasted tomatos and a pesto mayo. Baby Escarole Salad Served with pancetta, shaved pecorino, and a poached egg. The lettuce once came out warm and the bacon is overcooked and over-salted. Squid Ink Campanelle Pasta Sounds great on paper, but the execution misses the mark. We like fishy- tasting things, but squid ink pasta shouldn't taste this fishy. The calamari in it is downright chewy too. Roman Artichoke Fried artichoke with olives and parsley. The artichokes are terribly bland, and the only flavor that remotely shows is from the olives. Salsiccia Pizza Topped with fennel sausage, tomato, basil, and mozzarella. The pizza crust is good, but the problem is bad cheese. Rarely do we notice bad cheese on a pizza, but this feels like a bunch of Kraft singles were thrown around." - Sam Faye

I’d heard such great things about Labriola, so I had to stop in and check it out myself—and I can honestly say everything we had was amazing! The kids ate everything on their plates, so you know it was a hit 😊. Our waitress, Morgan, recommended the garlic knots, and she was spot on. The food, ambiance, and service were all incredible.

I've been to this location a few times. Today I happened to go during happy hour. I ordered crispy calamari and filet medallions, both were delicious. The calamari were tasty and tender with a rather "crispy" batter that did not flake or fall off at every bite, the portion was just right. The medallions were cooked to perfection, and juicy, accompanied by the rich and flavorable, textured mashed potatoes. My drink was a walnut old fashioned, which was spot on. My bartender Serrieh was a delight, as always. Adding a review..... Had a smashed burger and it was an 8/10. I would have preferred the onions a bit more cooked, and bottom of my bun was very thin so it crumbled easily, however meat was cooked to perfection, very tasty, pickles were good (although I prefer them a bit thinner), fries were good (peel on are my favorite) if you like them soft, I prefer crispy. Cheese was also very good. My favorite part was the flavor of the meat so I definitely recommend giving it a try.

We hosted our engagement party at Labriola a few weeks ago. We had about 100 people and we were given nothing but wonderful feedback. It was on the outside promenade, in late October, and was absolutely perfect for what we wanted. When we walked in, we know it was "The Place". I was worried that it would be too cold, with it originally being an outdoor area, but it was not. The walls and heaters put up made the room warm and comfortable. The room was beautiful, with a fun and cool vibe. The food was amazing, the ambiance was perfect, and I can't say enough about the staff. We worked with Alexa to plan the whole party and she was beyond helpful - Everyone was! They even threw in a few little fun touches at the end. Thank you, Labriola for making our special day even more special. We can't wait to host another event there in the future.

Had an outstanding dinner at Labriola in Oak Brook and highly recommend it for anyone craving Italian cuisine in a stylish yet casual setting. The inviting atmosphere was perfect for a memorable meal. Gustavo, our server, was exceptional, he offered helpful wine suggestions that paired beautifully with our dishes and made excellent recommendations for appetizers and entrees. Gustavo’s attention to detail made the evening special, and his knowledge of both the menu and wine list truly elevated our dining experience. The Margherita pizza was a standout, with its perfectly crisp crust, flavorful sauce, and fresh mozzarella. The starters, like the tender meatballs and expertly fried appetizers, paired perfectly with Gustavo’s suggestions. Service throughout the evening was attentive and seamless. Gustavo checked in at just the right times, offered personalized recommendations, and ensured our orders were perfect. His warmth and professionalism made our evening memorable. Labriola is an excellent choice for Italian food lovers. The high-quality food, welcoming ambiance, and Gustavo’s fantastic service make it a must-try in Oak Brook. Will definitely return to try more of their delicious pizzas, creative starters, and, of course, more of Gustavo’s spot-on recommendations!

Labriola is definitely a family favorite in our house! We absolutely love their menu and frequent often so it wasn’t a hard decision to have our daughters sweet 16 birthday party with all of her friends on the veranda. We worked with Brittany to discuss the details. She went above and beyond to create the most special day for our daughter. The food and service were amazing! The tables were set with such care and attention to detail. Our server, Mack, was so attentive. We felt well taken care of. Only about half of my daughter’s friends had been to Labriola before and ALL of them expressed wanting to go back with their own families. I would highly recommend Labriola for your next event! Be sure to ask for Brittany! She’s top notch!

Such a great stop! The restaurant has plenty of seating and a beautiful covered outdoor patio, so you can even enjoy it during the winter months. While the overall service was good, our server Joseph was truly fantastic. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, and we ended up ordering almost everything he recommended. Every single dish was absolutely delicious. You really can't go wrong with any of his suggestions -- he genuinely loves bringing people together through food, and it shows. So impressed. Overall, this is a wonderful place to enjoy a classic deep-dish pizza or explore some of their more sophisticated menu items. A fantastic experience all around!

I had received a gift card for Labriola and finally had an opportunity to use it, New Years week. After a morning of shopping at Oak Brook mall, my daughters and I stopped in for lunch. Unlike restaurants closer to the mall, a table was available right away, We were greeted by a gentleman, who asked us if we had dined with them in the past. This was our first dining experience at Labriola. As we looked over the menu, another gentleman brought us a few delicious arancini to try. They were a tasty way to start our meal. For lunch, I ordered the Caesar salad and soup. They were delicious and the perfect lunch size portions. To finish off the meal we enjoyed the strawberry sorbet. The staff was attentive, professional and hospitable. Thank you to Katrina, a longtime Labriola staff member, for introducing us to this location. I hope to bring my co-workers for lunch soon. We will definitely be returning.

Yelp
My wife and I had dinner on a very busy Christmas eve night. It took a little time to get our food, but it was worth the wait. The crusted whitefish was very good as was the minestrone soup. The atmosphere was very nice, and our server Morgan was excellent. The manager was very helpful. We have been to the restaurant many times in the past and will continue in the future. We often order pizzas from them that are excellent.

Yelp
This place was a solid stop all around. Plenty of seating, a great covered patio and cozy vibe. Service was good, but Joseph really stood out. He knew the menu inside and out and steered us in the right direction. We started with the sizzling shrimp and the sausage and peppers, and both were absolute winners. For mains, the gnocchi and the pistachio crusted whitefish were flavorful, filling, and done right. Whether you're here for a classic deep dish or trying something a little different, you'll leave happy. Definitely worth coming back.

Yelp
Fettuccine Alfredo craving satisfied. I wanted a basic fettuccine alfredo one evening, and all the other Italian places nearby had more complex and "fancier" dishes. Labriola came up when I actually typed "fettuccine alfredo". The place has a family-friendly vibe and a big bar area in the middle as you walk inside. This is a good place to watch sports, dine at the booths, and have private events as well. It reminds me of Moretti's. Our server is friendly, efficient, and helpful. We ordered the FETTUCCINE ALFREDO. It is just what I wanted. It is not heavy on the cream sauce and the portion is big. We also tried the EGGPLANT PARMESAN , as recommended by our server. This is a good dish as well. The flavors of the eggplant and the sauce of the pasta are delicious. They have daily specials, and I would love to try their meat lasagna next time. This is a good option if we want the classic Italian dishes. 'Til next time!

Yelp
I came here back in the summer for Happy Hour. I was seated at the bar outside by the patio. The view is spectacular. Beautiful ambiance. Happy Hour is on Thursday's from 3:00 PM til 6PM. There is a few food and drink selections on the menu. I ordered the $5.00 Ravioli Fritti very delicious & $5.00 Pizza Bread. The Secret Garden In My Mind Cocktail was refreshing. A perfect drink for the summer weather. This particular day there was a band playing jazz music. I enjoyed the beautiful patio area, the nice weather, appetizers, cocktails and smooth vibes. The only thing bothering me were a bunch of Bees flying around the bar area. I guess the sweetness was drawing them into my space. A nice hidden gem in Oakbrook worth the visit.

Yelp
Had dinner with some friends and everything was delicious. The bar area is pretty cozy, smaller booths so be aware if you're coming for happy hour. Our waitress was very attentive. We decided to do the happy hour menu and got: steak medallions, calamari, and arancini. The arancini was the star of the show. I didn't love the calamari, but it wasn't bad. As my main I got the rigatoni alla vodka which was so tasty. My friend's dishes (creamy tomato pasta and steak frites) were delicious as well. My pictured cocktail was so tasty. I would definitely come back!

Yelp
Just came with my family and we had an amazing lunch! We started off with bruschetta, shrimp & some Arancini that the staff was nice enough to bring for us to try! Everything was delicious! Then we had salmon (which was heavenly), some steak and fries and pasta alla vodka which was so good! The tiramisu was the best we've had! I also got 2 drinks which one was recommended by our server and it did not disappoint! The staff was very attentive and welcoming, will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
This was my first visit since they changed location. I absolutely love the expansion and comfortable seating. This vibe was definitely something the old location was missing. When I lived nearby, I visited Labriola religiously since its opening. I am always thrilled to stop there when in the area. Now, if not more than anything, I feel like the atmosphere matched the high quality of food much better than the "cafe style" environment at the old location. We stopped in for a happy hour after work one day - a group of five of us scoured the menu with excitement before our arrival. We all had our drinks and food items picked out before we were seated, but quickly realized the happy hour menu online didn't match. After a bit of confusion we realized each location has a different happy hour and the website was a bit confusing as to which was which. This was a minor inconvenience but the manager still came over willing to problem solve. Lesson learned - double check which location menu you're looking at. The food is the star of the show at Labriola. It it nearly impossible for me to decide what to eat upon each visit. It seems funny to me that they advertise as a pizza restaurant considering I have never had there pizza! There are so many delicious things on this menu it just never even crossed my mind. Some honorable mentions include the Waldorf salad, Richie Burger and Genovese Gnocchi. However, my all time favorite meal at Labriola is the Filet sliders with fries. They are oh so perfect and since Labriola opened in 2008 I have not eaten ones remotely comparable. SO GOOD. I do have to say that this location gives Labriola a much more "upscale" first appearance which kinda makes it feel like any other Oak brook restaurant even though it's not. I understand that may sound a bit contradictory and although I like the upgrade, I miss the small intimate setting with the constant bustle mimicking a Paris bistro. It may come off fancy upon first impression, but I truly believe Labriola is more wholesome and food dedicated than it's compeition. Our server could have used a bit of pep in her step, she was really a drag so I took off one star. Welcomed with a gen z death stare, and then acted as if we were bothering her the whole time. Checked in when we didn't need anything and would disappear for 10-15 minutes when we did need something. I had a togo order and asked for a side a bread - after another 15 minute increment went by, I asked another server and gave him part of her tip. The whole situation gave...out smoking my vape because I only have two tables and want to be cut.....Hopefully, with some simple coaching from managers this won't be the same experience next visit.

Yelp
This was my first time here. I wanted to come during the summer for Jazz on the Water but I wasn't able to make it. I decided to give the a try for a birthday lunch. We arrived during happy hour so we reviewed and ordered a few things from that menu. The wine list was not clear of what was included and what wasn't. Our server was not helpful in explaining that either. I ended up ordering something I thought was on the $7 happy our selection but it was full price. She was also not engaging as far as explaining the menu and what the specials were. She didn't even ask if we wanted dessert or show us the menu! The food was decent, our favorite was the pizza. I'd order that as a carry out in the future. Sadly there was no hype for our Birthday. Why ask what the diner is coming in for if there's nothing special that will be done?! I know it's not mandatory but a slice of cake or free appetizers would have been nice. I still think I will return next Summer for the Live Music but anything before that will most likely be a carry out pizza order.

Yelp
We went for our Anniversary. They started us off with a complementary glass of champagne. We ordered a small deep dish, the Russo Sausage. It was delicious and their homemade sausage is as good as I have ever had. My wife had the eggplant parmesan and it's a winner. We also ordered the sausage and peppers appetizer, very good! Their crostini dipped in that broth!!! Our server was Kevin and he was awesome. He took care of us and even brought us complimentary carrot cake for dessert. It was amazing also, by the way. It was an amazing anniversary date night. I recommend Labriola and we will be back. I'll try their thin crust and another pasta dish next time.

Yelp
I went here with a friend who had said it was good. I went into this experience with high hopes. We were sat in the back corner of the restaurant which we thought was odd at first but did not think much of it. We then proceeded to wait at least 15 min before someone even came and greeted us. Then they came and asked us for drinks about 5 minutes later. It was not too busy but our server had around 4 tables in the section. We noticed the server was checking in on all the other tables except ours. I received the wrong drink after pointing to the one I wanted and receiving confirmation from our server. I was then served a non alcoholic mock tail and did not realize until I looked at my bill. Granted, he did not come back for a while to even give me the chance to ask. Nor did we get any refills or a chance to ask for another drink. The appetizer came quick and was good. Food came shortly after brought by the food runners. The gnocchi special of the day was delicious but it was a different store with the filet sliders. My friend usually goes there for the sliders but unfortunately two of the sliders were inedible. Each filet was a penny sized bit of meat covered in chewy fat. The buns were also burnt to a crispy. She claims it has never been like that in the past. I was curious as to if the meat was intentionally on the fatty side so I tried to catch my waiter to ask. He was again back and forth to his other tables while ignoring us. And i finally said excuse me and told him the situation asking if it's supposed to be like that so we know not to order next time. He then in an annoyed attitude picked up the plate and said "okay i'll show the manager" After 15 min no one came to talk to us or update us. Our server was no where to be seen. Then came back and gave us our check with a surprised look that the dish was comped. No explanation or apology from the manager either. After paying I asked to speak to the manager and the only thing she said was that she got other complaints of that same thing and will look into it with their supplier. This was understandable but the way we were treated tonight was not. We figured we weren't being provided the same service as everyone else because we were the youngest table compared to the older people and families. I know there is a stigma around younger people not tipping well and in return not having to give proper service. Nonetheless, I always give people the benefit of the doubt and thought the server could be having a bad day and still tipped over 20% as a courtesy although i believe in tipping based on customer service. Won't be coming back here again.

Yelp
The garlic knots are no joke! Loved them. The ambiance is on point. The host was fantastic, but the service was what left us needing more. We ordered a zombie dust and got a 312, even after asking us twice for clarification. The thin crust was missing something, i heated it up at home and added oregano but it was still bland to me. It looked way better than it was. My partner ended up with some stomach issues the rest of the day. Add to that one of those annoying "service charges" when they're already nickel and diming on the "what used to be included" extras on things? We won't be back. We could not have even let the server know about it because they hardly came by during the entire visit. Maybe an off day? Idk but we won't return to find out.

Yelp
Went for Jazz by the water and had a wonderful time! The patio experience was great! Rocco our server was attentive, accommodating and just a pleasure. He deserves a raise! We split the Waldorf salad & tagliatelle bolognese and they were delicious! Warm bread & butter too! The vibe here was contagious! We will be back! Keep up the great work & thank you for an exceptional time!

Yelp
Fun place. Love the bar. Good cocktails. The food is a hidden gem. Very good and nice portions. The customer service is great too

Yelp
The same great Richie Burger, just like the old Labriola used to have. Fresh cut French fries dusted with fanciful salt flakes add just the right touch of flavor. I understand wanting to combine the old Labriola and LaBarra locations into one, keeping the large private/party room and great patio. However tbh, as your typical family on-the-go, we just don't go to sit down full service restaurants so much as fast casual which we'd rather prefer. So I get to enjoy a Ritchie Burger about 1/5 of the amount of times that I used to.
google avatar

Yelp
Recommended but what did they do to their menu? They changed locations and possibly their menu as I couldn't find my old favorites when I went to order online. We did a take out order which was ready when it was supposed to be, which was nice, but really did like their old spot. Can't speak to the inside really but food is still tasty, fresh and flavorful. Some menu items can be pricey but food is of high quality and take out orders are packed well. Burgers are especially delicious.

Yelp
We came here for the Mother's Day brunch, and overall, it was a really nice experience. Kids under 3 were free, which definitely made this more affordable, and there were numerous buffet options, a make your own omelette station, and an amazing donut wall / pastry table. Only reason for a dock on a star is the service wasn't great - we had plates piling on the side that nobody collected, and our server was not present. However, other than that, it was a lovely experience!

Yelp
While in the area, I was craving authentic pizza and discovered this family-owned gem in Oakbrook. Everything we ordered at La Barra was absolutely delicious! We started with a tantalizing arugula salad featuring pickled fennel, hazelnuts, and a lemon vinaigrette so good it could be sipped on its own. For the main course, we ordered the thin-crust Danny's Special pizza, loaded with house-made sausage, onions, and bell peppers--delizioso! To top it all off, we indulged in a warm chocolate chip cookie baked in a cast iron skillet, crowned with vanilla gelato, chocolate sauce, and pecans. It was epic--so good it was gone before I could snap a photo!

Anum R.

Yelp
Great food, service, and ambiance! We are new to the area and they were very kind. Will definitely be visiting again and the pastries are above and beyond!
google avatar

Yelp
This place was one of my favorite places to go in their old location. I recently visited the new location, a few doors down, and they have taken many of the good things that I used to like off their menu. Everything was better at your last location . The food, the ambience everything You guys have destroyed a good thing

Yelp
Came with a group of friends on a Saturday night. It gets packed! Make sure you make a reservation! Positives Lots of parking in the shared strip mall Large restaurant Menu had lots of variety- my favorite item that I ordered was the mama's meatballs. My friend had the shrimp - I tried one of hers and it was very tasty Another friend ordered the zucchini chips- they were tasty too Could be improved Filet sliders were tiny! Quality of meat was tough and I wasn't asked how I wanted my meat cooked Took a long time for server to come back. We were seated in the patio and she also had tables inside and had to go to the inside bar to get drinks Stalls in bathroom. It is hard to see if they are occupied and not all stalls lock. Women were accidentally opening doors on others.

Yelp
Tbh the service and food here is mid but better than going to a Panera. My bf and I each got a sandwich and salad combo. My meatball sandwich was okay - nothing wrong with it but something was missing in terms of flavor. Caesar salad could've used more dressing. However, this place gets 4 stars due to the amazing carrot cake. Holy moly this cake is to die for. Super moist, the cream cheese frosting is on point, and the candied walnuts are EVERYTHING. If you come here please get the carrot cake!

Yelp
Labriola Ristorante this was our second time dining here. The first time was great excellent service and a pleasant experience indoors. This time, we decided to sit outside and unfortunately, the experience wasn't the same. We waited around 45 minutes just for a chicken salad. Maybe it was because it was a Friday evening and a bit busy, but it felt like an unusually long wait just for a couple of glasses of wine, a salad, and a pasta dish. Also, the outdoor seating was really uncomfortable the chairs were too high and awkwardly designed. I ended up with bruises behind my legs from constantly shifting around to try and get comfortable. It's disappointing because we were really looking forward to another great night out, but this visit missed the mark.
google avatar

Michele R.

Yelp
In town on business and decided to try Labriola. Blown away by the flavor of the orecchiette Calabrese! Highly recommend. Fresh bruschetta was also very good. They package the bread, cheese, tomatoes and balsamic all separately so the bread doesn't get soggy. A must-try if you're in the Lombard area.

Brigid N.

Yelp
First time in Chicago, so I obviously had to get a deep dish pizza! This was VERY saucy, but overall pretty good. I liked the crust and the burrata was a nice upgrade.

Yelp
Decent spot for pasta and pizza. Casual spot mostly but good for most occassions. Portions are medium, great appetizers and comp bread if you ask for it. Service was a bit slow and there were only 3 parties there during the weekend mid afternoon. Price is $$, average entree is $18-$20, kids meals are also available
google avatar

Ryan J.

Yelp
There were 7 of us here. We opted for a new place, something we haven't tried. They have pastas, pizza, salads, a decent burger selection, and a few other items. They have beer, wine, and various cocktails. This place is pretty large. We sat in the back by the pond. Since it's winter, they have it enclosed with heaters. It's a nice view. Our wait staff was a little slow. I'm not sure if they were short staffed or busier or a combination thereof. They did accommodate our large group. I enjoyed the Caesar salad with chicken. It was large and filling. There was just enough dressing. I ordered the jet setter drink (lemony twist). It was strong but good. I would come back, I had a great time and enjoyed the food.

Yelp
Another successful holiday party!! I worked with Beth the manager who is amazing and very detailed oriented. She was so nice to assign Andie on the day of the pary to help since she was going away for The weekend. We hosted about 100 folks open bar all night with excellent dinner. I am very pleased with everything and look forward to hosting more events

Yelp
Great choice to dine out celebrating 2 family members birthdays. Seated outside and enjoyed the 3pc live music. Love the Saxophone! The food was really good. Staff was attentive and made birthday girls feel special with a complimentary dessert with a sparkler and what seemed like the entire restaurant singing Happy Birthday.

Yelp

Yelp
We had a team holiday lunch here and it was lovely! We needed a last minute reservation for 10 after our other one dropped out, and this was the perfect spot. The ambiance was cozy for Christmas, and the food was delightful! I loved the salad I got - huge portion size - and my side of fries was also delicious. Recommend this place!

Yelp
The pizza here is exceptional! I love the thin flavorful crust and the texture. It has a nice bite to it without being crunchy or too crisp. Chicago Deep dish and Skinny Deep dish are available, but I had the Chicago Thin Crust. Please be aware this is not tavern style and contains no cornmeal. The specific pizza I had was the Danny's special containing sausage, onion, mushrooms, and green pepper. The Cesar salad is pricy, but also exceptional and well worth the price. I loved the different flavors of unsweetened tea. It was the end of the night so they kindly gave me a large to go cup.

Yelp
We loved our dining experience at La Barra - Oak Brook! It was a beautiful Friday evening and we waited for a bit so we could sit outside on the patio. What a great vibe! The wait staff was friendly and attentive. The food was amazing! We shared Richie's Lemon Chicken and a house salad and it was so fresh and delicious. Our friends enjoyed the Spaghetti and Meatball and the Lemon Chicken. Everything was spectacular!

Yelp
Went for lunch. I had a caprice sandwich. The bread was amazing and so was the sandwich. It was my first time. They gave me 2 meatballs, which were great. Will be back

Yelp
We ordered a deep dish pizza for the 3rd time in 2 months this. The pizza is the best deep dish you will ever eat. The pizza is huge, filled with delicious cheese, lots of sausage and we added ricotta cheese. It's so much better than Lou Malnati's. You won't be disappointed unless you don't love lots of cheese and sausage.

Yelp
My wife and I went here for a date night. The food and drinks were horrible. We ordered the toasted raviolis. The ravioli was cooked well, but the cheese filling was awful, they put a pink sauce on the plate that was miserable and they topped it with some sort of beef and giardinara. It was awful. I ordered the skirt steak. It was poorly cooked and tasted bad. My plate looked like a soup from all the oil and juice on the plate. It also comes with fries and were drowning on the plate. My wife got Richie's chicken or something close to that name. It was two pieces of breaded chicken in what looked like a soup. Made it extremely soggy. It was way too lemony and lacked any balance. The drinks weren't any better. Maybe it's on us for not ordering pizza or Italian dishes. Everything was terrible and our waitress never once asked how the food was. I think she knew better. The place is so big and the food is extremely poor. I doubt they will remain open if they don't improve quickly. We will not be returning.

Yelp
Dined here on Sunday evening at 6:30 pm with 4 adults. Service was very slow. Took about 15 minutes just to get acknowledged after seating. Waitress botched drink orders. Appetizer was the stracciatella. Presentation was odd - three drinking glasses filled with components and served with pita bread (an Italian appetizer?). Entrees were not good - steak frites was chewy, salmon was ok but miniscule portion, gnocchi was bland with cream sauce, and the oriochette pasta was probably the best tasting of the 4. Carrot cake was ok but not memorable. $250 for 4 people - 90 minutes to get in and out. I think there are better options out there.

Yelp
Food was fantastic as usual - standouts were Brussels sprouts, the Parmesan crisp in the bread service, and meatballs. HUGE miss on service. We were barely waited on, had to ask for drink refills, the waitress seemed totally overwhelmed. The waitress mixed up our salad order - we never received the Caesar that we had ordered. We pointed this out and she said she was correcting the bill, just to run our card on the wrong bill from another table‍. We asked the manager for correction but no apologies were made. Forced to leave a 20 percent tip plus the 3% service fee. Feel ripped off. Probably never coming to this location again.

Yelp
Came here for happy hour and dinner. Happy hour includes $7 10 inch cheese pizza, $5 beers, $5 well drinks, and $5 wines. I really liked the sparkling moscato I had. The cheese pizza was also tasty! For my dinner I had the gnocchi bolognese. It was the perfect portion of gnocchi and sauce. I really enjoyed the flavor. There were so many things on the menu that looked good to me. Most of the pasta options were around $20. The restaurant has a nice open but cozy atmosphere. Our waitress was very friendly as well. We were seated towards the patio and all of a sudden it got really cold. I'm not sure if that is always an issue or if someone opened a door for too long. At that point, I was ready to leave. Overall, I enjoyed the food and look forward to trying more on the menu!

Yelp
Second time here in last 5 weeks. First visit great food and service. Goat cheese, fish and chips,gnocchi...all great. Today not so great. GF ordered soup and waitress disappeared so had to get Parmesan cheese herself. I got brunch omelette and had to ask for condiments I.e. salt, pepper, chalupa sauce. Just not up to par, which was surprising. Then get a 3% service charge..what is that? The no explanation general add on? Sure hope it wasn't for the slow service. I can't be the only person fed up with declining service and quality for more money? Soup, sandwich, omelette, smattering of hash browns(small diameter and smashed flat) ice tea and slow service for $48 plus tip. Wouldn't mind paying more if everything better. Peace

Yelp
Ordered for pickup and food was ready in 25 min. Entree was $22+ with taxes and fees which is a bit pricey for what you get. Food itself was tasty and eggplant, sauce, cheese was well cooked. May consider ordering again.

Yelp
I can't believe I am leaving a bad review for Labriola, it was the place for me for quite a while and I sometimes even order catering here. First trip since they merged Labriola and Labara here today I think I am done with this place now. Few changes that are miserable. 1. Speed is extremely slow. it was very quick for order and food came quick. Now enjoy 20 minutes of sitting at table and no waiter/waitress come and another 30 minutes for anything to come to table. 2. Price of all items increased about 15% 3. You don't order and pay from front desk now it's a 'sit down' restaurant so expect to add another 15%-20% tips for same thing Labriola used to offer 4. Bakery items/section is gone, I do not see cakes anywhere anymore 5. They also added a 3% service fee coming from nowhere

Yelp
Don't ever bother trying to plan a private event at this location because no one will ever call you back, even though you called multiple times and left multiple voicemail. The most unprofessional establishment I've ever seen will never even dine there again from the disrespect and inattentiveness of their management. Amy should be written up for losing a group of 60 people. Went to Seasons 52 instead. They had great service.

Yelp
Did not love the changes. We were seated out side in a booth which was awkward and restrictive for conversation. It was a celebration:( the booth felt like the ugly sofa pulled out on Uncle George's porch. Our waiter never cleared a dish, the table was tight to begin with and the glasses we sat down with remained on the table till the end of dinner. I had to ask 3 times for silverware and napkins AFTER our food arrived. Over all the pizza was yummy, a nice gluten free crust (which you pay dearly for) but my advise is do not order any pizza with arugula - 2nd time the pizza was delivered not even warm. The other pizzas were hot, this has changed over the last year or so - I've ordered it before and it came out hot topped with fresh arugula. One of the cocktails way not good, the was it was so heavy it was undrinkable (for my bartender son) but the waiter never asked how our anything was. So it was not fixed.

Yelp
Unfortunately this will be our last time dining at Labriola. We have been loyal customers for over a decade, with the move to the new location so many things have declined. Originally the slow service, we justified that as needing time to acclimate to the new location. They just made changes to the menu, fries are now fried in beef tallow. Since we don't eat beef this is no longer an option for us. In addition my order needed correction three times and there was an extra charge on my bill. Our server was wonderful but overall we do feel the need to dine here anymore.

Yelp
Came with some friends for dinner. My eye went immediately to the linguini fra diavlo that had shrimp , calamari and clams as that's kind of my go to dish but I had decided ahead of time to be healthy so I ordered the Lemon Kale salad and added shrimp. Really tasty so I didn't miss out. At least that's what I'm telling myself. Two friends got the eggplant Parmesan which they said was good and the other friends got the lemon chicken with smashed potatoes, also supposedly tasty. I wasn't impressed with the bread, not being warm and honestly tasted like it was missing salt. We split a warm cookie with gelato for dessert, plenty to share. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. Nice place with outdoor seating and a fire pit but seemed a little chilly to sit outside.

Yelp
Pizza was good. Service was not great. They forgot ingredients on a pizza so I came back to get them. They acted like they were put out even though I drove back to get the missing toppings? Which seems strange. No apology or like how can we make this right for you. Then they called my husband the next day and hung up. I don't think we'll be back, even though the pizza was ok.

Yelp
Geeeeez, this new concept is no improvement. My husband and I went for the second time to the new fancy version after having gone to the regular labriola version of the restaurant hundreds of times only to spend $70 on two meals with an absent waitress, flavorless food, and no salt and pepper on the table even, little plates but no bread. We were treated like we were invisible and spent money on tasteless pasta. I love the Richey Burger and will be coming back for that via takeout but NEVER AGAIN eating here bc it's a waste of money and time. Seems greedy to make it SOOOO fancy/ $$$ and have the quality of everything go down.
