Didn’t disappoint! Grabbed a quick bite to eat with one of my friends. Ate at the bar, which had a wonderful bar staff. My friend wanted to watch a specific football game and they met his request with no pushback. Now to me, the menu items are different but nothing out of the ordinary. I ordered the La Casita Carne Asada and Eggs, basically steak and eggs. It was a great entree and definitely a repeatable contender for when I come back. Steak was tender and flavored just right. The eggs were cooked exactly how I asked. My friend and I did share the Fried Chicken Taquitos. They were good but I wouldn’t get them again. Overall, this place reminds me of an ol’ reliable and casual restaurant for when you just want to grab something with some friends. Not too packed, not too loud, attentive and friendly staff, and good food.

I visited from out of town, looking for a good brunch spot. The fried crab legs were very tasty. It was pretty pricey but worth it for the amount of food served. I had a good experience overall and would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Great atmosphere. Food was excellent the menu was easy to read and understand. They didn't have coffee. As we was leaving they was starting karaoke.

I went to preview the new menu at La'Caj and OMG 😲... everything we tried was delicious 😋. I love spicy food and flavor and these dishes delivered!! It's a large and wonderful space with an inside/outside bar (there were hosting a paint and sip outside while we were there that looked like so much fun, everyone left laughing!!) I will definitely be going back again!!

I went on a Saturday late afternoon. I found the restaurant to be Festive, good food (especially liked the shrimp/crayfish Nachos and hot honey old bay chicken wings). They had a DJ and later a live band in the outside heated area. Service was good.

I was invited for a birthday brunch and honestly the group was large and a bit unorganized for a restaurant of this size. Surprisingly, the food was hot; not a long wait to be seated; the staff remained present; and the DJ was awesome! Thank you for accommodating a crew of rowdy visitors.

Concerns about one dish were promptly taken care of by our server Kevin. Everything else was splendid. Latoya, the manager was equally sweet. She took the time to chat with us to make us feel valued. We will be returning soon.

The menu looks great. The execution though lacks. I don't think the chefs have ever been to Louisiana before and it shows. The atmosphere is different for what you would expect. Have hookahs outside and marble white inside. Interesting. Everybody seemed nice though. No complaints.

All I can say everything we ate was delicious, the appetizers were so good , we ordered a second batch. Hats off to the cooks for preparing tasty dishes.The waitress was very friendly and catered to us in a professional manner.

PG County, you have a brunch banger on your hands! La'caj Seafood was a 10/10 across the board. I got the signature La'caj Purse (a 26 oz cocktail) and chose the blueberry waffle, subbed vodka for tequila (chef's kiss). Everything on this table food-wise? 10/10. The shrimp were perfectly seasoned and cooked and that dill-flavored dipping sauce was so unique and flavorful. I've given LaCaj Seafood several chances because I have friends and family who really enjoy coming here for the atmosphere and overall vibe. And to be fair, it is a cool social spot and a nice place to meet up with friends. There's plenty of parking, an open patio when the weather is nice, and I believe they host hookah events once or twice a week, which adds to the social scene. That said, my experiences with the food have been consistently underwhelming. Each time I've gone, the food has been mediocre at best, or items listed on the menu were unavailable. On more than one occasion, I've ordered something and waited for a while only to be told later that the item wasn't available. That's been frustrating and has really taken away from the overall experience. We'll sometimes stop in just for drinks, and while they're okay, they're not the best I've had. There's definitely room for improvement there as well. The service, however, has always been very friendly. We often get the same server, and she is consistently on point, friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. At the bar, the bartenders can sometimes be unsure about what the kitchen has available, which is understandable, but it would really help if that information was communicated upfront while ordering rather than after a wait. Overall, LaCaj Seafood is a solid spot for socializing and meeting up with friends, but the food consistency and menu availability need improvement for me to truly enjoy coming here.

Third visit here and this one was hit or miss. We missed brunch and ordered dinner instead. I had the creamy Cajun chicken pasta with lemon garlic cream. The pasta is $11, but adding chicken was $10.50 and not listed on the menu. I expected an upcharge, just not that much. The dish was also a little dry, and bread would have helped. My friend ordered the Seafood Orleans with fried catfish and crawfish étouffée and loved it. The spiked Kool Aid was really good. Refreshing and strong without being too sweet. We almost ordered the La'Caj Purse drink to share, but it was much smaller than expected for the price, so we canceled. DJ Gemini, one of the best DJs in the DMV, was wrapping up for the night, but the 90s R&B was hitting and added a great vibe. Dessert was a letdown. The tres leches cake looked nothing like the photo, and the deep fried strawberry biscuits were dry and inconsistent compared to another table's order. The staff was friendly but overwhelmed. I did appreciate management comping a guest after a long wait. The restroom definitely needed attention. I have enjoyed La'Caj before and hope this was just an off night. Please bring back the fried cheesecake. It was truly missed.

Got there after 3 pm so it was not very crowded. Our server Kenneth was very helpful and attentive with the menus and specials! The lunch special menu was still available so I ordered the shrimp po' boy sandwich with fries and lemonade. My wife got a generous helping of nachos with crawfish. The space is open and music fills the air with a backdrop of a bar in the middle of the place and two large TVs. We have been meaning to visit here for quite sometime and today was a great time to get here!

Food was very good! I wanted to try everything on the menu! Eventually I will through time. Service was great, and the restaurant was well lit with a lot of windows. I went before any music was loud it was very casual. I enjoyed my early evening.

Since my first experience (brunch) was extremely satisfying I decided to visit for lunch after I saw their unbelievable lunch menu. We had a 1:00pm reservation but I'm not sure the reservation was necessary since it was not crowded. We were greeted and seated quickly. The menu options were great but I couldn't believe the cost...fast food would cost more. We had the southern fried fish sandwich with fries and the build your own cajun flatbread. Yum yum yum....we enjoyed every bite. Impressed once again with the service and the food. If you live or work in the area it's definitely worth a visit.

The service was great for lunch time. My wife and I walked in randomly since it was down the street from her job. Our server was attentive and very helpful with picking out a food item. It is quiet during lunch but I can see the space has good potential to be a happy hour place or spot to meet up with friends or go on a date. Loaded Nachos: 9/10.. I was skeptical about getting shrimp as a protein but it was a perfect blend of flavor. Finally, nachos that got flavor and the protein was flavored. I was very pleased. The only reason I am doing 9/10 is because for me I could have used more heat and I'm sure I could have asked for it. I will absolutely come back here when I get the opportunity.

I've been a fan of this Owner from her early days! If you know you know Went for Brunch today and it was so nice! The Customer Service on point! Our Waitress (sorry I forgot her name) was Amazing! We had the Deviled Eggs, Salmon skewers and the Peach Biscuits for starters! I had the Red Snapper as my main dish! Maybe the Best I've ever had in the States! It was big, meaty and fried and seasoned well! The atmosphere was welcoming and we got to see Santa!

I visited La Caj Seafood with friends on a Saturday night. When I arrived I was greeted by a woman who asked if I was meeting friends. I wasn't sure if worked there or not but I wasn't paying attention because I was late. I was shocked that they weren't busy. Besides our table there were maybe 10 other patrons. They have booths, a bar area with high tops, bar seating and open kitchen concept with large tvs, and large bright space so lots of potential. In addition for Marylanders who don't want to drive to DC plenty of parking, the area is marketed as Restaurant Row. Because I was late my party had already started with drinks and an appetizer. They noted the nachos were tasty but had capers all over them which they requested to be removed. I wanted to try them but the waitress came over 15 minutes after my arrival and we had to flag her down. I had no silverware so I never got to try the appetizer. It took a while to get a drink as the wines are not listed on the menu and she didn't know what they had (only two options ... a red and a white ... I had to probe further like what kind of red and white) to which I kept being asked what do you like? I found that odd I just wanted to know what was available. When it came time to order the suggestions she gave were very confusing because she mentioned she didn't like a lot of things. However I went with her recommendation of the Seafood Orleans over the etoufee and it was pretty good. The presentation was not quite what I expected and I definitely needed more sauce. The white rice was flavorless but the fish was fresh, hot and crispy. My friend ordered the pasta and noted it was lacking in flavor/spice so she asked for hot sauce. My other friend ordered the fried rice which I found to be a strange offering but she liked it. Overall I think this place has a lot of potential our waitress was very nice and attentive after the initial long wait (I think she was the only waitress), but the flavor and ambiance needs a little work to make it more desirable as a Saturday night dinner spot, it felt more like a sports bar.

I stopped by La Caj, a New Orleans inspired restaurant, for lunch and enjoyed my visit. The restaurant was playing good music, at an appropriate sound level for a lunch crowd, and the service was friendly and attentive. I ordered from the lunch menu which has multiple food options, that come with fries and a soft drink, for $12.99. Based on the waitress' recommendation, I chose the Southern Fried Fish sandwich. The sandwich had 2 pieces of well-seasoned whiting with lettuce, tomato, and tartar sauce. I would definitely come here again for the same meal!

Wanted to try brunch but the location is pretty far from where I live. We drove here on Saturday, 2/15 and my visit was underwhelming. Service: Fantastic! The host was soooooooo sweet! She's the reason for the 2 stars! I love great service! So friendly, and just a gem! Ambiance: It's casual, you can come in daily causal attire. Food... let's just say, egg prices might be hurting this establishment. For brunch, I'm a coffee first, maybe a mimosa after but this place didn't have sugar packets (came in a lil dish), waiter was unsure if they had creamer, coffee wasn't made but he said he could make it. Once the coffee came I asked for creamer and he asked if he didn't have any would milk be okay. Worst part of my experience they only had scrambled eggs. The liquid kind. Not a fave for me. This is the copy paste of the menu item I ordered. LA'CAJ BREAKFAST PLATE 18 Eggs your way, your choice of jalapeno beef sausage or bacon, shredded breakfast potatoes or grits and toast Eggs didn't come my way, I got them their way. Toast, wasn't expecting the garlic toast that my grandma used to buy in a box from the frozen isle but that is what I got, a piece of garlic toast. I couldn't wrap my head around this. My potatoes had stuff in them, I was confused because the menu didn't say that. The lobster avocado deviled eggs were delicious! Overall, menu needs to be updated to accurately reflect items. Eggs your way to Scrambled eggs your way, Toast to Garlic Toast, what if people don't like scrambled or garlic? And last, the potatoes, describe what is in those potatoes. Maybe even just seasoned potatoes so the consumer knows what to expect. Other than that mishap, the menu is expansive, it has a Mexican flare. My honeys Fish and Grits were okay, grits were too watery but the fish was great! Lots of hits but more misses. Would definitely come back to try more items to hopefully change this rating. Second chances are warranted. Maybe this was an off day, I'll be back!

I stopped by for Sunday brunch with the ladies & it was an experience. There was a great DJ but the music was too loud. The four of us were practically yelling to hear each other. It definitely wasn't conducive for having a conversation. I ordered the $14 grilled salmon skewers for the table, but there were only 2 so that was disappointing. The salmon skewers were okay. In hindsight, I would have ordered something more filling. For my entree, I had the creamy Cajun breakfast hash with fried salmon. It was cheesy shredded potatoes with spinach, tomatoes, onions, and a cream sauce topped with a huge piece of salmon. I enjoyed the breakfast hash, which was full of flavor, but wasn't a fan of the fried salmon, which lacked flavor. I did appreciate the generous portions though. Next time, I'll try a different protein, probably the crab meat. I've heard great things about this place and at some point, I'll stop by for dinner.

We went on a Friday night at 8, and there was plenty of parking in the parking lot. The space was busy, but we were able to get seated right away at the bar. The vibe was really fun. Really good 90/2000s R&B and hip hop. There were some games outside. It was r ally and say to enjoy the upbeat energy. Food/drinks, everything was just ok to me. Nothing was bad but nothing stood out. I got a guava mojito and it was just ok; I didn't taste any guava flavor. We got hot honey chicken wings and they were perfectly crispy and had decent flavor to them.The chicken empanadas were a nice size, had a good amount of filling and nice crunch to them. I got the seafood sauce with catfish. The catfish was a thin fillet and it was cooked well but really lacking flavor. The etouffe that came with it was decent; it tasted like it used a lot of butter. The cilantro rice was below average to me; really lacked flavor. My husband got the stuffed salmon and he said it was cooked well but was just ok. I expected more in flavor profiles for it to be a fusion restaurant. I would come back for the vibes and try another drink, but not for the food.

Listen to me carefully. This place is a solid 5 stars. I ate here before when it was an Italian restaurant, but this is the first time I've been here with this new seafood concept. The chef is Chef Jorgé who we met. Met with us at my request. I was here with industry friends and this was one of the best lunches I've attended in a very long time. The food is excellent. Chef Jorgé knows how to cook and he seasons very well. We had an assortment of food which we shared family style. The lamb rib chops were wonderfully grilled with a nice glaze on. The grits were super creamy and flavorful. Not a lot of places will sell you a whole fried snapper. This one did and it was delicious. Even the kale (wasn't overcooked) super flavorful. The ambiance in this place is nice, and our service was excellent. We had Shanell as a server and she's a foodie too and she was able to give us good recommendations. The drinks were nice and strong and everything was absolutely wonderful. I can't say enough about this place, and it's black (female) owned too which is another plus. She came over to our table and introduced herself. Parking is abundant and if you enjoy good food you'll love this place.

I've been wanting to return since attending the SADBrunch Drag Yelp Elite event back in April. My friends and I were were looking for a good spot to celebrate the October birthdays and decided to check out their Sunday brunch. I met a friend here for lunch at 12:45 PM on a Tuesday. We ordered hot honey wings with sauce on the side and 2 orders of Cajun Pasta, one topped with shrimp, the other topped with chicken. The atmosphere was nice, quiet for lunchtime, clean, great R&B music and well lit. We were underwhelmed with the food. Advertising as a Latin Fusion - Cajun restaurant, we expected a lot more flavor. The pasta and chicken wings were bland, but the pasta toppings (chicken and shrimp) were seasoned well. We both decided we would give this restaurant another try, but order something different from the menu. Maybe they were having off day.

The music is very loud let's just start there. I was trying to talk to a friend and couldn't hear her. I've been wanting to try this place from all the great reviews I've heard about them. I went on a Friday and they have all you can eat fish for $19.99. I was excited. Your first initial order comes with two pieces of fish and fries. Trying after is one piece of fish . The fish was seasoned well. I also ordered the mac and cheese but it was just baked alfredo but it was good ! I also ordered the satueed kale and baby they should be ashamed because it was drown in oil with no seasoning . The service was great from the guy!

Everything about this place, except the super loud music, was fantastic. I think the music is too loud for the small place, but I enjoyed what was being played. Unfortunately I don't remember our server's name, but she was great. Nice, friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered the steak bites and étouffée. I devoured it all. I would definitely return.

Decent happy hour menu. I love the vibe there and the atmosphere. The bartenders and wait staff are very friendly and attentive.

The parking was easy - large parking lot right in front. The restaurant looked new and was VERY clean! Looked like a fresh spot in a new shopping center. Now the food was SO GOOD. The nachos were the best bite and we ate them soo fast lol. The cajun pasta is really good but i wouldn't describe it as cajun, ate that up second. So good! Must add shrimp. Crab cakes were fat and minimal filler however I feel like if I had only gotten that as an app I wouldn't be full. Our server, I wish I knew his name was so good and quick!

I went for my friend's birthday week in November 2024. We had some challenges with the initial reservation as she reserved a specific table and the person on site gave away her table but ultimately we were seated. The food was yummy. I had nachos and they were delicious. The energy was overall fun. I called back a few months later looking for a girls night outing. At the time, La'Caj was closed for a private event but offered an alternative location, which was also great. I'd recommend going here.

Walking into the restaurant you're are greeted by the very loud music played by a Dj. Its so loud that its sensory overload. The entire time we were there we had to speak loud so everyone could here us. The restaurant does not offer hard copy menus and I had to scan a QR code to view the menu. This was a difficult task as some of the QR codes were not working. I waiter took our order and got a few things wrong. We received the wrong drink, the wrong side, and never received my desert. The food was good. I ordered the cajun lambs chops which was cooked to perfection. They are tender and flavorful. They actally aren't spicy at all. Which I enjoyed. The cajun collard greens taste like red beans and rice. Its spicy but not overwhelming spicy. The sweet potato fries are bland. I kept feeling like I needed some special sauce to go with the fries. After eating our server did take our items off the table. Which was a plus. I recieved the bill to see the lamb chops are $50 and 20% gratuity large party charge. However, my party consisted of 3 people. I dont believe the service was worth 20%. I doubt I would be returning anytime soon. Its not worth it.

We dined at this casual brunch spot with music on a Sunday afternoon. The service was prompt and they were even patient with us when we didn't realize the restaurant closed as we kept rambling to one another. Our party of 5 overall enjoyed most the food. I only had vegetarian options. Cheesy grits were tasty but wish was creamier- was pretty thick like cream of wheat. Spinach was simple and fresh- not overcooked. Hash browns were lackluster... not sure if I missed out by not adding cheese. I would recommend cajan roasted potatoes or Cajun fries to the chef lol Overall I would give it another shot as everyone else loved their food.

Went to La Caj on a Saturday evening with a friend. They had a DJ. The music seemed a bit loud for the amount of people that were there. For the appetizer, we had the catfish nuggets. I thought they could have been fried a little longer. They were still a little damp in the inside. My friend had the salmon that we both thought was overcooked. I had the Orleans seafood. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy the flavor. I appreciated the easy parking as that can be hard in the DMV. The service was pretty fast. I don't enjoy being such a critic but this one missed the mark for me.

Definitely recommend checking La'Caj. It's fairly new to the area, so of course there is always room for improvement, but the customer service is great--from the hostess to the server, they provided positive vibes. Brunch is only offered on Sundays, not Saturday and Sunday so keep that in mind. However, they do operate on the full menu Saturdays. I tried the Lamb Lollipops and I'd give it a 3.5/5. They weren't nasty, but they weren't something to rave about. It just needs something extra to give it that wow factor. My friend had the Cajun pasta, which she enjoyed. But she did state it was more tomato vs Cajun. There's so many other things on the menu that I would come back to try, but I would encourage you to come support this business!

Oh boy!! this is a bit tough for me to write, because this place has soooo much potential, but I got to keep it 100%. First off, the customer service is very friendly and promising, but also leaves much to be desired- Our table stayed cluttered with empty and half empty plates throughout our entire dining experience; no one offered refills on our water; we were checked on twice-but it was more like a quick passing-by acknowledgement; and there was added items on our receipt that were never ordered (which was quickly corrected). I will say that I think these mishaps occurred with either not having enough staff, or undertrained staff. But as a fairly new restaurant, they may just be working out their kinks. The restaurant is nicely decorated and styled, and provides a great vibe with lots of natural light and spacious seating. However, the food was also not my fave. The steak bites were not too great...there was no real flavor, a bit chewy, and perhaps a lower quality of meat--and it was semi cut up, like it was being served to a small child; not like succulent pan seared steak bites. The beef empanada was good, but the beef/ potato filling can look a bit misleading in color because it appears undercooked, but it was throughly prepared and well seasoned. The seafood taco burger was delicious in flavor mostly due to the toppings, but the beef burger patty was way too salty, and seemed a bit dry and overcooked. The lobster mac and cheese was actually the best item I tasted thus far-great flavor and very cheesy with a baked golden crust, however, the fried lobster tail batter was way too salty as well. The cajun pasta with salmon seemed to be a hit with my guest, but I did not personally try it. I would likely return to try out their Sunday brunch menu, but otherwise, I was a bit underwhelmed. Hopefully, this restaurant can find a good flow and continue to improve, as Ive tried another restaurant (Catch 22 in DC) started by this beautiful and passionate owner (previous met at yelp events), and I specifically went out of my way to dine at La' Caj. Overall, I recommend giving them a try. Fyi..parking is free and abundant.

Came here for some drinks. Ended up getting some pasta as well. Both were decent. Not the best I've ever had but good enough. Nice spot in the neighborhood. I've noticed they have karaoke and a lot of other social gatherings, especially in the summer. Service was great. I'd recommend this place.

Checked this place out for a birthday celebration with a decent sized party. The service was really good. The football game was on and music was playing in the background as well. Seemed like a great place to check out if ever interested in a good day brunch outing. The food was good, I wish I took more pictures lol. I had the cream cajun breakfast scramble with crab meat. It was very tasty and filling. I would get it again if I ever were to go back. All in all I get this place a solid 8/10.

Good Day, Me, my daughter, and her girlfriend visited August 12, 2025 our first time at the establishment. First, my daughter did not make any reservations she just saw Karaoke night. The front greeters did get us a table outside which was fine since we did not make reservations. They were very courteous and friendly. Second, the young waiter was nice, polite and accommodated our questions. Third, the manager was sitting outside and heard my daughter complaint about reservations as I told her reading is fundamental. The manager got us a table inside which was so gracious of him. Fourth, I ordered the nachos which was delicious, my daughter ordered the chicken wings they were not seasoned well, tasteless, her girlfriend ordered the fried catfish not seasoned well, tasteless. Fries were ordered could have stayed in the fryer 20 seconds more and it was approximately 20 fries. Fifth, our new waiter she was fantastic always checked on us. Lastly, saved the best for last it was karaoke anniversary, it was superb the MC host she was excellent, she kept the crowd engaged and gave her testimony of how La'Crae Seafood had blessed her. Songs: It was wonderful to play oldies, current songs, and the best is when they sang gospel songs Marvin Sapp and Donnie McClurkin. I really like the open space I can see the bar and the kitchen, bathrooms were clean. The people had a ball doing karaoke. We certainly enjoyed ourselves and will return again. Wednesdays at La'Caj is lit! Two weeks ago, I went for Spring Social with Top 5 Band. La'Toria is a great host and made my experience great. The greens and chicken wings were great! I also had the banana pudding which is great. The inside is spacious The patio is super cute. For the shows, they have house rules and it's a $25 per person fee. The only complaint is I was charged $25 per person for random people sitting at my table. It was only 4 of us. But people were pulling up chairs and the server did not take them off. I will definitely be back !!

Excellent food, staff, atmosphere. I will return. The shrimp and grits was delicious. My brother in love had the breakfast platter and my sister the money bread all were delicious.

This place is not talked about enough. I will definitely be going back here, the staff was great and so was the food. I came when is Ciño de Mayo and the DJ they had was definitely had the place jumping. The concept of the layout of the restaurant isn't bad but the chairs and table are close. So you might bump into someone. The overall experience was great !! I have already spread the word about this restaurant

Had to stop by again but it was on Sunday! The football game was on and the crowd was sport fans, semi big screen TVs, a full bar and a live DJ plus I ain't mad since I wanted to watch the game. I was hoping for some new lunch items I haven't tried but to my surprise, on Sundays, they only have a brunch menu. I was skeptical at first since I wasn't in the breakfast move but my waitress convinced me I wouldn't regret it. CAJUN HASH BROWN SCRAMBLED WITH FRIED SALMON OMGGGGGG! This right here was definitely a SURPRISE meal I swore I wouldn't care for. I'm not big on hash brown shreds but this stole my heart. The freshly cut potatoes shreds with cheese, peppers, onions, spinach, tomatoes and topped off with a huge piece of fried salmon was EVERYTHING & more. This was beyond AMAZING & savory, seasoned and cooked down to perfection and well portioned. Every single bite had to be slowly digested to capture every taste and goodness. I'm in love with this dish and will come back for this again and probably bring someone with me that would enjoy it too. My waitress did her job by recommending my food and brings someone sweet and kind! Truly appreciate her (I forgot her name :( sadly). Oh yeah, shoutout to the DJ he definitely did his thing with the song selections. He def played some classic R&B & had me in the zone while watching the game (crazy mix lol).

We attended hip hop bingo there and ended up eating and hanging out. Food was sooo good. Flavorful, hot & fresh. Service was a little slow but they were super busy. There's a seafood brunch on the weekend I'll be coming back for.

While visiting the area I'd had my eye on La Caj because of its interesting twist on Latin and Cajun cuisine & I was highly impressed by my entire experience having lunch the resturant. The food was all well seasoned and the flavours really packed a punch with each and every one of the dishes we had! Our server was incredibly helpful, attentive and also very kind. Which really added to the overall dining experience. Everything that we ordered was delicious and moreish... The portion sizes were great, and I look forward to visiting again to explore more of the food and drinks menus!!

The food and drinks were great here. The service was good however it was a snow day with minimal patrons around the restaurant. Not sure how it is when busy.

I visited La'Caj when they had the Slutty Vegan pop up. I decided to come back and they their food. I missed happy hour by one minute so I ordered the creamy Cajun pasta with chicken. It came out hot and it was SO flavorful!! 10/10! I don't drink alcohol during the week, so I ordered a club soda with lime. I'll come back on the weekend to try the drinks. I'm dropping one star because the music is way too loud and the band they had is even louder! They have two speakers for a modest size restaurant. Tables were literally screaming trying to talk to each other. Almost felt like a club rather than a restaurant.

In my DJ Kaled voice.. "And Another One"! Okay Suitland/Camp Springs... I see ya!!! First Milk and Honey, next Cori's Modern Kitchen and now La'Caj Seafood? I KNOW Red Lobster is pissed.. Lol The Auth Road corridor is becoming a happening destination! La'Caj has taken over the space previously held by a pretty nice pizzeria. La'Caj is bright and large and has a really nice bar area with ample tv's. Definitely casual dining so no need to throw on your Red Bottoms.. Lol. The food is GOOOOOD! The menu literally has everything l like, but because I was being treated this particular day, I decided to be a nice guy and save her pockets.. Lol. We ordered the avocado lobster topped deviled eggs, loaded crab flatbread and lamb chops and cheesy grits..all OUTSTANDING! The drinks are reasonably priced and strong AF!! Please do yourself a favor and head over to La'Caj and don't let "Suitland" scare you away.. Everything is bright and new and is NOT the old Suitland that we know and don't love.. Lol!!!

The service was impeccable. We had a young lady named Seven and it was her first day. She went out of her way to make sure we had our food, she made suggestions based on other's reactions - she just plain ole' took care of us! The food was delicious, it was not only extremely flavorful, but it was served fresh and hot. The ambiance was nice; there's music, but you can still have a conversation, so it's not too loud! All in all, this little neighborhood gem is what you want, 10 minutes from the house. Now, put ya' phone down and go!

I visited La'Caj Seafood for Sunday Brunch and ordered the Cajun Potato and Eggs Breakfast Scramble with blackened salmon and a side of buttermilk pancakes. First, let's talk about the star of the dish - the Cajun Potato and Eggs Breakfast Scramble. With each forkful, I was met with a symphony of flavors and textures. The eggs and potatoes were perfectly seasoned, and the creamy Cajun sauce contributed to the overall depth of flavor without overpowering the palate. The blackened salmon was cooked to perfection with flavorful Cajun seasoning and a moist and flaky interior. Every bite left me craving for more. The side of pancakes was light and fluffy, and I generously drizzled them with maple syrup. The pancakes added a touch of sweetness to the meal, balancing out the savory elements. I was impressed by the generous portion size. I ate half my meal and put the other half in a to-go box to enjoy the next day. The ambiance of the restaurant was lively, upbeat, and beautifully decorated with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The waitress was attentive and ensured that my party had everything we needed. There was a DJ who was playing 90's R&B music which I enjoyed. There was also a QR code on the table to submit a song request to the DJ. A couple of customers were singing along karaoke-style...lol. Overall, I enjoyed the good vibes, music, my meal, and non-alcoholic drinks. I plan to visit again with friends for dinner.

My girlfriends were planning a get together to celebrate 2 bdays. Someone mentioned La Caj. I wasn't familiar but intrigued by the menu. We set a reservation for Sat at 4:30pm. We were greeted with a smile & promptly seated when most of the group arrived. The restaurant has ample parking & was well lit. We ordered drinks (glasses of wine and lemon drops w/ Reposado) & several appetizers to start. The deviled eggs, calamari, & catfish bites were a hit. Our server did a good job keeping everything together. Food arrived pretty fast. Decent portion sizes. I was planning to try the lobster mac as my entreé, but changed my mind since I was already full. Didn't want to try reheating a lobster tail! My flatbread was flavorful even with a reheat. We were hoping the bright lights would dim a bit as the evening continued but no such luck. Looking forward to the next visit. There's a lot more I want to try.

I went for brunch with my husband. This was the second time that I've been to this establishment. My breakfast hash with blackened salmon was good, my husband's fish and grits lacked seasoning on the fish. The music was excessively loud, which made it difficult to have a normal conversation. The volume made it feel like a club instead of brunch. The service was mediocre.

Reallyyyy want to like this spot.. but first impressions didnt leave the greatest taste. Though i was sat immediately with my reservation, it took 25mins to get acknowledged by my waiter. After 20mins, i had to flag down somebody to ask who my waiter even was because i saw maybe 2-3 servers servicing all the tables around me, just not mine. The guy that was my waiter was one of the ones servicing 2-3 tables around me so i wonder why he never came until he was asked by his coworker.. Also the music, played by dj, is very loud.. very loud and i usually dont complain about volume but it literally hurt my ear sometimes.. my apple watch even alerted me that my environment was too loud which has never happened at a restaurant before. But ppl seemed to enjoy it, some folk were dancing! Great music selection! The food was not bad.. they didn't have the salmon bites appetizer so i'll have to come back for that. The lobster&avocado devil eggs were pretty good.. don't expect much from the 'fried lobster' part- it could have been fried anything since you don't taste actual lobster. The N.O. style bbq shrimp and grits were only dampened by the actual bbq sauce on the shrimp and sausage pieces. They took "bbq" literal.. and i was floored cuz ive never had actual bbq sauce in all the renditions ive had. The cajun cream sauce was great, the grits were great, the shrimp cooked well... but actual bbq sauce??? To each his own though, if u like bbq sauce it probably wont bother you as much. My guava marg was ok.. wouldn't get it again, it didnt taste like a margarita. I got one more time in me, just hope service is better.

Celebrated my Sister-Friends birthday today. This was my 1st time to LaCaj Seafood and I loved it. We were there for Saturday brunch and I ordered basic, because my stomach is not always right. However, my food was delicious. Had a begin waffle that came out hot, bacon and shredded home fries, all delicious. I sampled the grits and they were definitely tasty. Very nice spot with great drinks. I will be returning soon. Our waitress was very good and kind. Definitely a spot you want to visit.

Good Times! This was my second visit. Came for brunch a few weeks ba k and forgot to take . Met a friend for drinks and Friday night fun. They have a DJ most Friday's so the vibe was great. My food was awesome amd the catfish nuggets made my day. My server was Eri was awesome and the owner was super nice and told us about cognac amd cigars on Thursdays. Will be back!!!
