Peruse New Hampshire’s largest antiques mall for an hour and get lunch nearby. There is a lunch counter in the actual mall where we could get a quick bite, maybe even to bring on the boat, but it looks pretty lacking? Could also pick up from the Water Street Cafe, which is a 5 min walk/2 min drive from there; slightly worried about timing for that, though we could also aim for an earlier start.

A blast from the past! I remembered so many items from my past while I was browsing through this huge store! Two levels, multiple isles of merchandise and an old fashioned lunch service counter that I use to see in Woolworths or Bradley's. I think 🤔this store became an attraction 🧲 during the Laconia Pumpkin Festival. Upstairs has sections devoted to 🪑 chairs and 🚂🚆 trains. Model train sets are set up and you can buy model train supplies as well. It was fascinating to see 🙈. Toys, books 📚, furniture, antiques, coins, comic books, action figures and many more items to find here! Two of the staff members were friendly but the woman at the check out counter scowled at me. I want to deduct a star ⭐ for that but I had a great time browsing. I found a book 📖 in excellent condition that was less $ than ordering it online. Like Douglas MacArthur, I shall return!

Antiques galore and good prices. Need a rocking chair? I can’t believe all the chairs upstairs. Found fiesta wear, tea pots, movie posters and so much more. If you are a coin collector visit here for a great selection. Hope my pictures help you see how much they have! 4stars only because it was freezing inside.

Enjoyed the shop mostly. However, the open display and sale of Nazi memorabilia was uncomfortable and concerning. Also they were playing highly conservative, Christian music. Talk of condemnation from the devil and religion while shopping is not something i appreciate. Unsure if I would go back.

Google
A fun place filled with treasures of the past. This is one of those places where you never know quite what you will find. One place you should visit while here is the lunch counter. Fun place to shop and grab a quick bite to eat. Well worth a stop if you love antiques...

Yelp
This is a multi level antique store located in downtown Laconia! Lots of organized booths with collector's display memorabilia. Very inviting space with clean items for viewing and sale!

Yelp
This is the most interesting antique shop I've ever been to. The owner is so pleasant and it's a delight to see how proud he is of his business. The most unique aspect is the fully-functioning lunch counter named after his mother, where my family enjoyed hot cocoa and ice cream sundaes. The staff was more than happy to tell us the history of the place, after my daughter asked from what era the lunch counter was. I could probably spend all day there if I could, but alas I live in NJ some 6 hours away. As far as the actual antique shopping goes... the merchandise is very neatly displayed with fair prices, almost like they are curated for an exhibition. No dust or must!

Yelp
I've been here twice, while visiting. There's lots of stuff, just most of it uninteresting. I did buy one piece a "Bobby Prize" trophy for $7. I'm not saying don't go, just be fore warned.

Yelp
Went here on a rainy Saturday, July 3rd. The place was hopping! The trains were going upstairs, whistles blowing! The counter was open, serving up sodas and such with 1950's music all throughout the store. What fun I had checking out all the nooks and crannies of each booth! There is something here for everyone! Wish I knew the schedule for the trains and soda fountain. I'd like to go back and bring my family.

Yelp
Really liked this place. It's huge, (2 stories). Yes, they have numerous signs warning against stealing - but- they wouldn't have to if people behaved themselves. My son found interesting coins & military pins for his collection . They had some furniture, vinyl records, lots of glassware, etc. Spent a while in here to see it all.

Yelp
I know that in the future IF I ever go back, I will bring a notebook and calculator. I was overcharged on 3 items. Not happy....buyer 's beware

Yelp
It's a fun place to go and check out if you're in the area. The place is huge and you can definitely find something. However my whole group was very uncomfortable with one of the workers following us the entire time. She was watching us like hawks and I've never once had anybody do that at an antique store before. It made the experience feel uncomfortable.

Yelp
I like this antique store, they have a great selection of sellers and a lot of them at that. They even have a retro 50s-ish ice cream counter that's really cool. My hang up is the staff there. The man that's usually there seems friendly, but all the women I've encountered have horrible rude attitudes. They storm around the store when it's near closing to yell at customers to hurry up because they're closing (umm, i'm trying to *BUY* things from you, have some customer service!). Also BUYERS AND SELLERS BEWARE! The woman at the front desk likes to not give anyone any sale prices. If you buy from multiple sellers in there, write down any sales that any of the sellers are having, because most likely they will not give you the sale at the front desk! They also like to walk around the store and take all your items your carrying so that they can write & wrap them all up, so all you have to do is go to the desk & pay, but they do this so that you don't notice that they didn't give you any of the sale prices (and when you call them out on the sales, they just give you a worse attitude). They also claim you can't get sale prices if your paying with a credit card, when it says in each sellers booth if their sale is good with credit card payments or not. Like I said, I really like the store, they have a lot of good dealers. But what good are the dealers if the staff is just going screw everyone. I may not be a customer anymore because of this. I don't like to support independent owned stores that have NO customer service at all. I'll go to another antique shop before that one.

Yelp
Most of their nice things aren't for sale. If you want show and tell - not for sale...this is your place! I walked in, was interested in an item they had displayed and was immediately informed they weren't selling it. Prices are way too steep, and as far as I can tell are way above all eBay sold listings and comp prices I've seen throughout my years of antiquing. We walked through in 15-20 minutes.

Yelp
We go to the Laconia Antique Center about twice a month. It's a fairly large group shop with a pretty good selection of dealers. Although the majority of the items at this center are only vintage in era, they do have dealers that carry some true antiques. Nonetheless, the vintage items are fun to browse through and for the most part are the more "interesting" type of collectibles. I wish the furniture section was a little higher end, but it is still worth looking through. We've noticed that over the last few years they've made some improvements to the interior. I've also noticed it's been bustling a bit more, which is nice to see. If you own a home built between 1920 and 1960 you will find plenty of things to ponder over and furnish with. My only two gripes... As another member has said...the staff does have a tendency to look over your shoulder quite a bit. I have felt uncomfortable at times with that, especially since we are frequent customers. My other issue is that we do see a notable lack of turnover amongst some dealers. It's not uncommon to see some booths with very little to no change. Maybe something to spur some change? Just a thought. Definitely a worthy stop when in the area.

Yelp
I love this place! They have really transformed it into something great compared to the general store it was priory. The large scale size of it is not only great for people looking to purchase vintage items or collectibles, but also for people to simply browse through. Looking around at everything on display gives you the feeling as if you have stepped back in time. I purchased a beautiful necklace here at a fair listed price and the worker at the counter rang it up as such, I had no problems with the staff as the first reviewer mentioned, in fact I was pleased when while browsing I was approached and was asked if I needed help finding anything and that if I had any questions to let her know. Even if you have no intentions of purchasing anything, it's definitely worth the trip to stop in and browse the place, you could literally spend hours in there.

Yelp
Such a fun place to visit! Even when I leave empty handed, I really enjoy walking around and seeing all of the interesting antiques. The trains upstairs are cool to watch and the retro diner counter downstairs is so cute! I did end up purchasing some chairs last time I visited and at checkout I was told a little more about them, where they came from and some history, which was nice to know.

Yelp
This place is great. They are clean, organized and friendly. There is a restaurant in here that is retro and so cute!!!!! They are easy to browse unlike most cluttered antique shops, and have lots of unique items. Found two jadite pieces I had been looking for and also lots of fiestaware.

Allison L.

Yelp
If you are in the area you have to check this place out! I love how large of a space they filled with rows and rows of antiques, collectibles and vintage stuff! I go every time I'm in the area! And I've bought at least one incredible item each time. Be prepared to spend some time there in order to see everything, So bring a snack. I usually keep a protein bar with me or you can grab a sandwich or milkshake at their old fashion 1950s counter diner which looks really cool. Oh also bring quarters since the bathroom is some sort of old train door or something ( again very cool) that costs a quarter to open. Have fun!!

Yelp
I go every year, and really enjoy it. It's big, with a great selection of interesting items, large & small, and the preserved soda fountain from the original 5 and dime store is wonderful. I have never encountered any problems or attitude among staff. It's definitely worth a trip!
