**Long Beach's Hidden Gem!** I've been living in Long Beach for four years now, and I can't believe I never discovered this place before. If you're looking for the best fried chicken, this is the spot! If you're craving delicious chicken tenders, this is the place! If you want a chicken bowl with all the fixings, folks, this is the place to go! This place offers a little bit of everything. From fish and chips to tangy salads and tasty garlic noodles, it truly rocks! The owners and cooks, Scott and Dianna, prepare everything on the menu, so you can't go wrong with any choice you make. They even create and make dog treats! Once you eat here, you'll definitely come back for more! Be sure to say hello to Scott and Dianna when you visit. I personally recommend the garlic noodles with the grilled chicken bowl. Lastly, please be patient with the cooks, as they prepare everything fresh and made to order. I visited some friends in Long Beach and stumbled across this place running errands. Chef Diana was great. Ordered the large garlic noodles and chicken tenders. As the sign says "Food made to order. Please be patient, it's worth the wait!". Yes definitely worth the wait. Chef Diana worked for Wolfgang Puck, so the food is top notch. Will be coming back again.

Delicious Fried and grilled chicken severed here! This was my first visit and I loved it, The owner is really nice and has a positive attitude. They also sell Home made dog treats. All menu items are made from scratch. The ranch dipping sauce is tasty!

Really wanted to like lacquered, and have been wanting to try it for years. Unfortunately, I may have built up my expectations too high. Ordered the fried chicken and the signature garlic noodle topped with grilled chicken. Although both dishes are passable, but I was looking for much more. Fried chicken was crispy, but the meat under the crispy skin lacks seasoning/flavor. The garlic noodle is a miss, it's more like a soy sauce chow mein than garlic noodle. I expect garlic noodles to be garlicky, savory, and buttery, but it wasn't any of that. All and all, it's a decent meal that you may expect from a neighbor's kitchen.

Delicious fried chicken made to order. Huge portions. The Caesar Salad was perfect, had a nice touch of lemon.

I love this place. The food is real, and the people are too. The food is excellent and plentiful. But also, this is the sort of place that builds community. So, if you value that in addition to excellent comfort food, you should give them a try. We are suckers for Mac and cheese, garlic noodles, veggies, spring rolls, chicken tenders, and fries, but honestly you have no bad options here.

Walked in an hour before close, and the owner chef gave us some extra food. It is absolutely incredible. The chicken, the sauces, and the French fries are THE best in town. THE best.

I love everything about this small family restaurant! Everything's great-- the welcoming greeter in the front, the passionate chef, the homey feel, and the excellent chicken, fresh veggies, special dog dish (my new rescued pound puppy is more confident since our visit), garlic noodles, and homemade desserts! Support small business!

Mouth watering and a FABULOUS little neighborhood gem! This is the fourth or fifth time I've been into Laquered over the years. This last time was to get a big order to go, to be shared with friends at the bar next door. When I was ordering at Laquered, they even offered to walk it over as a courtesy. Such rad service-our food was hand delivered to us in the bar, directly from the owner herself! The owner/chef and her staff are always great. They help with ordering, make good recommendations, and always let you know if there's a little extra wait...which is ALWAYS WORTH ANY EXTRA FEW MINUTES! It's usually because they're so busy, and it's never too long, maybe 10 mins extra tops. They package the to go in a way that ensure the best quality and integrity of their delicious food. The poutine has the components separated in different containers so not to get soggy or yucky-it's one of my favorites. Everything is fresh, made to order, and creative and super special. The desserts and sauces are unique, with specially homemade recipes like no other...truly one of a kind. This place is an absolute gem, try it! You can't go wrong!

I saw photos of the fried chicken here that looks sooo good so I made my way to Long Beach to check it out. My three friends and I shared the whole chicken meal that came with a salad and sauces.They had very interesting to see Asian fusion sauces and they were very tasty paired with the chicken. The chicken was ok.. a bit too much batter for my liking. The batter was super crunch but the ratio of batter to chicken was a bit off. Overall decent, but probably would not return.

Im mildly shocked at how good the food was here. ... it looked like the whole place was being run by 2 people but they made the best fried chicken ever

I finally made it to Lacquered!! Our friendly chicken-everything neighborhood restaurant / takeout place. Didn't know what to order, so I asked Scott "I made curry and would like to have some chicken katsu." He started to tell me what he can do and I went with his flow, got some fries, beet pickles and for dessert mint chocolate fudge too. I also received two different sauces! This place is so homey, like you're in Scott's kitchen enjoying the food he makes. I love, love, love this place! Will be back soon! BTW.... The chicken is scrumptious and the fries made with real potatoes and the beets are pickled to excellence. There's a kick behind your mouth when you swallow it. Masterful!!

Food is amazing and the host are super friendly to get to know. I have been to this location 3-4 times, but the food always amazing.

Best Fried Chicken in Long Beach, hands down. Actually, possibly the best fried chicken of all time and I've had fried chicken all over the country. The chicken is already delicious on its own but when you pair it with any of their homemade sauce options, it's just simply perfection. It's even good in a sandwich. The sides here are delicious too. My favorite is the garlic noodles but don't sleep on their fries or peanut slaw. Not in the mood for fried chicken? No problem! They have other protein options too. I had their keto bowl with pork belly on my first visit and would definitely order again. It's a small space so plan on getting takeout but if you do see an empty table, grab it and enjoy the cool ambiance and great service from Diana and Scott. They're both amazing "pawrents" to their Husky/Shepherd mix named Butter and Chef Diana makes homemade dog treats in his honor! Our fur baby Frank is a huge fan of all their treats and is currently enjoying the chicken hearts. If you're in the mood for homemade food for you and your dog, then stop by Lacquered right now!

I live down the street from this place and finally was able to try it out. I feel that I've been missing out. We ordered the Garlic Noodles with fried chicken tenders, a chicken salad and two kids meals with fried shrimp and fries. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the noodles were another highlight. The flavor has an Asian flair to it, but not overpowering. The fries are homemade. There also a long list of sauces to choose from. We went with the Fire Sauce which was good and not too spicy. The portions aren't bad either. We got the small order of noodles and it was more than enough to fill you up. We'll be back to try the other offerings.

Everything I've tried Here is A1. The food is really, really, good. Some of the best food in Long Beach for sure. Please be patient because there's two cooks in the kitchen, but it's so worth the wait! French fries are some of the best I've had in socal.

So Impressed with the quality of the FOOD. My two best buddies decided to throw me an impromptu belated birthday get together and ordered food from Laquered. Whoa ... the fried chicken was just so perfectly tasty - served with garlic noodles and some sort of peanut slaw of some kind - But what turned out to be a fun special night with the boys made it even better with this food - And they threw in a chocolate chip cookie for my B-Day and the quality of fresh ingredients, you could tell. I'm a fan, looking forward to ordering again and hats off to the chef!

The chef/owner is super nice. Always giving recommendations. I rarely see this place open but when I do I'm rushing to the door. It takes 15 mins for them to prepare the food. He always gives me little sample of sauces to try. The place is tiny. Just 2 tables to eat inside. He plays country music on the speakers. I love their fried chicken. It's juicy in the inside and crispy on the outside. I love the garlic sauce. The pork belly bowl has that nice bite texture to it. The rice itself is alright but once you add the sauce it makes a different. The garlic nood-rittos burrito wasn't my favorite because it just was too much noodle and heavy to eat. But I love always coming to this place. Next time i want to try the salmon rice bowl.

The most delicious fried chicken! Super cute spot with outstanding customer service... I preferred the buffalo sauce over the honey mustard but that's my choice of dunking sauce. The resident pup was the sweetest big boy ever. Very welcoming and I will for sure be back cuz I haven't stopped thinking about the chicken. The chicken strip deal fed me for a few days. I live down the street from where the old Gus's Fried Chicken was in LB and have been on the hunt for fried chicken since. I found Lacquered on DoorDash and decided to give it a try even though it was on the other side of the city. I got the family feast meal for four adults and a kid and there were still leftovers. The chicken is SO good; my dad is definitely a fried chicken snob and he loved it! The fried chicken is crispy and the breading is flavorful but not overwhelming salty (like fast food fried chicken). The garlic noodles were SO good and the portion is huge for the family feast. The chocolate dipped strawberries were a nice touch and were also very tasty. When I went to pick it up my meal, the owners were so nice and friendly that it just made me love the place more. This will definitely be my go-to place for fried chicken in the future!!

Perfection, the food is delicious and fantastic portions. Veggies were cooked perfectly, chicken batter is crispy and perfectly flavored, mashed potatoes are so creamy. Amazing service as well, they are so kind. This was my first visit and the other patrons in the store were excited to tell me the food is worth the wait and I can confirm--it absolutely is!

The service is extremely slow. There's maybe 2 people working here at most. It has the feel of a small business in a big urban city. The people are friendly and there's a large variety of food. The chicken is delicious however it's very greasy food. You'll need a nap afterwards. Prepare to spend time waiting and spend just as much money for your food.

First time having lacquered! Was having a night where we just weren't sure what to eat. Wanted to order out because it had been a long day, but didn't want to drown in carbs. Ordered a small size in Cajun butter shrimp, garlic noodles, black pepper salad, and the seasonal veggies to share with my partner! Absolutely blown away by all the flavor, freshness, and portion size. The shrimp was cooked to perfection! If I were having a boiling crab craving and needed a quick fix these would absolutely hit. The seasonal veggies were scrumptious and honestly my favorite part of the meal. Half a corn, broccolini, carrots, eggplant, cauliflower, enoki mushrooms cooked perfectly, large pieces, and so fresh. Mostly places skimp on the veggies, but they absolutely do not. The salad was also crispy and refreshing, wasn't a super huge fan of the black pepper vinaigrette but my partner liked it. The garlic noodles were so so so tasty. We will have leftovers for tomorrow despite ordering small for everything so you truly get your money's worth in my opinion. Can't wait to go back and try the fried chicken because if it is anything like everything else we had I'm sure it's delicious!

Service was great (we dined in), their peanut cole slaw was delicious, the garlic noods weren't garlicky enough and also needed more oil (i preferred the garlic noods from before), the chicken was dry and tough - we got bone-in chicken.... the batter was delicious at least their tenders are way better. but they really did bad on the chicken...why though?! It's a chicken place!

My family and I ordered from here on Ubereats. We were drawn to it because of its giant menu ranging from American to Asian food. They have a large dessert menu and even a dog friendly menu as well! Everything we ordered was tasty and my whole family agreed that the fries that came with the fish and chips were very good. We're normally not fans of thicker fries but these were so crispy and salty! The fish and chips portion was generous as well with four pieces of fish and loads of fries; very good. I also enjoyed their cherry oolong tea which had a rich cherry flavor to it.

some of the best fried chicken I have ever had. I have been looking for a very specific breading style and taste and I found it by stumbling upon Lacquered. The chefs are highly personable and very welcoming. Stepping in feels like you're coming into someone's cozy kitchen. I highly enjoyed the ambiance, decor, and every bite of my meal. We ordered the half chicken combo and look forward to coming back to taste the chicken tenders next! note: everything is made to order but the wait is worth it! We came home with the warmest chicken we've ever purchased and it was still perfectly crispy after 20 minutes of driving home and settling in.

Delicious, flavorful food made with intention. I am never disappointed with anything I order from Laquered. Both Chefs take extreme care and consideration not only with how their ingredients are sourced, but also with the magical way they prepare their delectable meals. I am a long time customer and that will never change.

Normally don't ever leave reviews but this is legitimately one of the best food spots in LB. I want people to discover a legitimate hole in the wall with legit food and chefs. First had this restaurant for takeout during Covid and I was blown away at the quality even during transit time and in boxes. All the food we had was well seasoned, fairly portioned, and most importantly, a distinct fresh taste that cannot be feigned. As someone who's worked in the industry before, the difference between fresh and frozen/prepared food is so subtle but makes such a impact in terms of quality. I believe the chef/owners had background in fine dining and decided to open their own place serving food they back. It's pretty obvious as they take the time explain the dishes and the taste of the food shines through. As a foodie I love that the food feels like it comes first without compromising the integrity of their dishes to save corners here and there. I mean, who else makes homemade sauces. The times I've waited I don't mind one bit because the food always comes out banging. For food, their hand cut fries and fried chicken are probably some of the best in LB. To me, the closest thing I've had to homestyle southern fried chicken here. No one really does proper fried chicken in Cali unless they specialize in it or you go to fine dining place but what's the point in that. (Nick's has banger fried chicken imo) Would love for this restaurant to stay open and my only worry is if they get popular (as they should tbh) quality of food may dip or people may leave frustrated waiting an extended amount of time they're not used to. Anyways, love this place and is must checkout!

Such amazing service and happy staff every time I've ordered from here! This is how a restaurant should run. Food is great, fresh, a little salty but for me, I love that ha. 10/10 taste and customer service. Been telling people to try Lacquered ever since my first order! Pro tip: their salads are great, add tenders!

Boo to you nay-sayers! My friend and I ate there tonight. Diana was working ALONE for most of the night. Yet she held true to her goal: Food made fresh, delicious, no compromises. If you want food fast, go eat fast-food. She cooked, answered the phone, operated the cash register, and served seated and to-go customers. What a dynamo!

What a wonderful, warm restaurant!! We ordered the Cajun shrimp and crack cookie. Went in to pick up and everyone there was so inviting and friendly! The Cajun shrimp was delicious! Perfect spice and so much flavor. Yum We will be back again!

This is a neighborhood gem! The food is always tasty, fresh and consistent. The owners are always happy to see you too. My go to items are the Salmon Keto Bowl, Mac & Cheese, 1/2-pound Garlic Shrimp, and Deviled Eggs as an appetizer. I wanted to gate keep this location like everyone else, but I just have to share with everyone in the area! You got to put it on your takeout list!

Batter wasn't too flavorful, chicken was dry. Mostly crispy thick batter. The buffalo garlic sauce that I selected for dipping was very tasty and helped redeem the chicken. Veggie Medley: Fresh, well cooked, nice assortment (Broccoli, Cauliflower, Squash, Corn on the Cob segments, Brussel Sprouts, Carrots). Mac: Creamy, Gooey, and Cheesy. Doesn't need tomatoes or toppings. White cheeses. Butter Cajun Shrimp: This was my fav! Great flavor. EZ peel. Cooked well. 10/10! Salad/Cole Slaw: Great complement. Fresh. Tasty dressing. Chocolate Covered Strawberries: Free. Nice touch. They were tasty!! Well portioned. Well packaged. Hot on arrival. Satisfied! Overall would recommend. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu.

Amazing food and service a must try . Best fried chicken ever but everything is top notch

Wow. They aren't kidding about that fried chicken. I ate here pre-covid when I lived in the neighborhood- I can't remember what I had but I remembered really liking it. They have a great location and it's very clean inside. Their kitchen is visible and immaculate. I was perusing Postmates this past Tuesday and to my delight I saw their name pop up! I ordered the buy 6 chicken strips get one free bucket, I added a side of the garlic noodles and spicy coleslaw. It was fantastic- definitely the best fried chicken I've ever had. Noodles and coleslaw were really excellent too. I mean for the value you really can't beat the quality of the food they are providing. I can't wait to order more and share with friends and family. I'm even going to have them cater my next book club get together.

Increíble ! Place is a hidden gem. One of these rare places that has a larger menu but everything looks wonderful! The fried chicken was spectacular. The goods in the case all looked tempting (especially for charcuterie boards). Service was great - pretty speedy for a scratch kitchen. I came at a slow time - Diana blessed me with a taste of different items and none were short of awesome. Can't recommend enough!

Heard about this spot for the longest time from local posts. Finally made that effort to check it out in honor of our friend, Janice Cabaysa (RIP). Here was our experience. AMBIANCE: Parking: Street parking and plaza parking. It gets popping depending on the time of day. Seating: COVID-19 protocol at the moment but generally it's a small and intimate spot. Seems like usually there'd be room for two people. Feels: It's on the famous Broadway, so there are a lot of eatery, every errand shops and small business shops. The spot itself is occupied with identity. From their pictures of food, snacks, menu, and random art (like a scupltured chicken and cage). Definitely a lot of character to share with some nice lo-fi music in the background. Great spot for a good grab and go to the beach or a park. FOOD: Fried Chicken (Recommend) The most recommended by the locals. Is it the best? Well I don't want to start any fights but let's just say this is on my favorites list. Well breaded, crunchy, savory, and juicy. Don't forget to dip it to one of their SEVENTEEN sauces. We got the garlic and the herbal ranch - both great choices. Poutine Fries (Recommend) Relatively thick fries served hot. The cheese curds were well melted and scattered and the green onions gave it a good lively kick. The gravy is something special - not your usual warm it up Campbell soup type but lightly thickened and seasoned with herbs. Grilled Cheese Sandwich (Recommend) The double decker format reminded me when I was a young kid and had the metabolism to handle that much calories. This was nostalgic yet refreshing. A goood old fashion soul of a comforting grilled cheese but blessed with culinary genious - two cheeses, bread was buttered for extra flavor and crisp, and the fried cheese on top. Tomato Soup (Recommend) Yes. Pretty simple and comforting. I like the small chunks of tomatoes here and there in addition to the naturalness of it. A good subtle dish to any other entres - sandwich, chicken or other orders. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Diana was awesome. Very passionate and personable. TL; DR OVERALL: 5 Stars. Awesome! Delicious food, reasonable prices, and cool ambiance. I definitely must come back as there's more stuff on their menu I absolutely must try. It's definitely interesting with the eclectic dishes from garlic noodles to fried chicken. I recommend this to locals, chicken fanatics, or people wanting to taste a local gem of Long Beach. The pictures are better than the actual taste of the food. Chicken was ok along with the sides and ok dessert. Am I coming back? Prolly not but was willing to support our local small businesses once in a while.

We've gotten takeout from this place several times since they opened. We had some good food in the beginning, but the quality seems to have gone downhill since they opened. In our last order, the deviled eggs were inedible and the fried items (fried chicken bucket, fried chicken tender, and french fries) tasted like they were fried in slightly stale oil. Sorry, we won't be trying them again.

Chicken sandwich is so good paired with the honey mustard. Let's talk about the strawberry lemonade my first time getting it and wow it was so good !! Added a side of large fries as well and they are the best fries ever chef always makes sure to make em hottt Love it here !

OK, 2020 has been a total bummer, but this may have been the best Thanksgiving meal I have ever had (minus the family and friends). Lacquered did a special Thanksgiving take out meal that was absolutely delicious. They said that it would feed 5 people, but it was more like 6-8 people. The amount of food was impressive, but the quality of the food even more so. First off, instead of a turkey, they offered a stuffed, whole chicken that was deboned and easy to slice. The chicken was soft and juicy, and the stuffing was delicious. Plus, it came with some rich chicken gravy. The scalloped potatoes had a smokey flavor, and the mac and cheese had a spicy kick. Both, had a subtle twist on traditional flavors with the smokiness and the spicy flavors. Surprisingly, the roasted vegetables may have been my favorite. So fresh and perfectly cooked, with some sweet, buttery taste to it. Oh, and the the "pumpkin square" was basically a whole pumpkin pie in a square shape. We were expecting five little squares, but instead got a gigantic pie for again 6-8 people easily. Again, the surprising twist was that creme anglaise was a custard layer across the top of the pie rather than a cream or sauce. To top it off, I was waiting in the car, but my wife said that the couple that owns Lacquered were really sweet and friendly. They were surprised by the demand, but with this success I hope they plan on a xmas take out dinner! We'll be there.

Wow wow! This place is delicious. My order: Canadian poutine fries, 1grilled buffalo chicken tender, 1 fried tender, and a cannoli. I'm sad that I didn't get the man's name that helped me. He was polite, patient and helpful. The portions are a good size, they pay attention to detail, and they have good ingredients! The only thing I felt was okay was okay was the fried chicken strip. It was juicy but did wow me like everything else. The poutine was a treat!! The fries were huge but soft on the inside, crispy on the outside with the perfect amount of cheese. The chicken gravy was so flavorful. The pudding is sweet banana-y and Chocolatey, yum! Delicious...l can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.

Thoroughly disappointed by everything. Spend your time and money elsewhere. I've wanted to try this spot for a while and I was excited that I got to today. Here's what went down. I ordered over the phone and was told to come in 25 minutes. Upon arrival I stood in the "lobby" for 5 minutes unacknowledged. I would have definitely looked past this but after everything else I think it's important to note. When finally greeted by the male chef he asked my name and I told him and he seemed aggravated and responded sharply "we're still working on it, gonna be a few more minutes". Okay, so again no a huge deal, just seemed like they were busy and there were only two people working. Then, while I'm waiting for my food with a group of about 5 others, we can hear the two workers quarreling with each other. Not sure their situation but it sounded like two people in a relationship arguing and yelling at each other. It was super uncomfortable. Then I got my food. When I get home I'm sad to find the sloppiest chicken sandwich I've ever seen. It's so slathered in sauce that the bun is wet and falling apart. The worst part? It's slathered in ranch dressing which is NOT listed on any of the online menus. The menus say "honey mustard", which I love so I was excited. There was a tiny squirt of honey mustard and oceans of ranch dressing. I hate ranch. I would have asked for it to be taken off, had I known that my sandwich would be drowned in it, but again that wasn't labeled anywhere. I got a side of Mac and cheese and it was the most bland, flavorless, unseasoned Mac and cheese I've ever tasted. On top of that it had tomato's in it -- also listened nowhere on the menu. I just don't get it. Isn't this supposed to be southern style soul food? Where's the seasoning. Also, PLEASE tell people what you're adding to your dishes. I also got a dog treat for my dog. I'm sure he won't have any complaints. For $30 for three items that were made differently than stated on the menu, the curt attitude, the domestic argument, and general lack of presentation I feel absolutely cheated out of my money. I hate to rate a small business low but this just felt like an absolute scam and I'm highly disappointed. If I'm spending $30 on lunch on a Monday I at least expect good customer service or the food be made the way it's listed on the menu -- your choice. ****changed to one star because after the owners snarky response I called her and she did nothing but scream into the phone for 5 minutes and not let me get an word in edgewise. She kept on repeating that I should have told them I didn't like ranch? Should I have also told you all of the other foods I don't like that aren't on your menu, Diana? She then scolded me for writing a Yelp review instead of calling. Why would I call when you were aggressively fighting with your coworker? Toxic place for sure.

Everything I've had from here, no matter how simple an item it might be, has been excellent. It's all made with care and expertise and is freaking delicious. The portions are generous, the prices are super reasonable as well. You may have to wait a bit because everything is made to order, but totally worth it. Support these guys!

I've only tried their chicken and fries because it's my favorite but beard off of that and customer service I give 5 stars. My only complaint is that I can't eat it fast enough when I get it because it's so fresh and hot. Something that people might not like is that they say it can take 10 to maybe 15 minutes but in my experience it doesn't feel that long.

SO, I'm giving an update because I gave Lacquered a second shot today. While I DID have a better experience this time around, it's just still not for me. I ordered lunch today, had it delivered, which is always a gamble but everything arrived nice and hot, so that was a plus! First, I ordered chicken tenders. I didn't know what to expect, so I ordered 3. I should have only ordered 1. They are HUGE. The chicken is not dry which is good, but the breading/batter is pretty bland. Just salty, not much spice. I wish I'd known how huge they were going to be, perhaps that's something that can be updated on the Uber Eats delivery menu. I got 2 sauces, BBQ and honey mustard, which are made in-house. You an tell they're homemade, which is good. I didn't love them, didn't hate them. I suppose they improved the chicken, but it just still feels like there's spice missing, or something. I also got the hand cut fries. Now - they were like $8 on the menu and I was super confused bc that was more than double the price of one chicken tender. Well, come to find out the bag is INSANELY huge. WAY bigger than anything I could ever eat. Perhaps the restaurant could provide a smaller size option or mention how large the bag is on the menu. I know it's weird to be complaining about getting a LOT of fries, but reheating fries never works out. Even in the air fryer, they're not as good. I had maybe a quarter of the bag and one chicken tender and I'm stuffed, but now I'm left with a ton of food that I paid good money for and don't want it to go to waste. The taste of the fries was pretty good. They're nice and crunchy which is how I like fries, but they're VERY salty. Could just be personal preference, I don't like to oversalt my food. I prefer flavor over salt. Lastly, I ordered the stick toffee pudding. It's my fave dessert. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm definitely looking forward to it once I'm not SO full. So, that being said, I raised my review to 3 stars instead of 2. I ordered what everyone seems to rave about as opposed to the things I ordered last time and still wasn't wowed. I'm not trying to be harsh in any way, just honest. I support local businesses and know that this place has a huge following which is why I wanted to give them another chance. This restaurant just isn't for me, and that's ok.

One of my favorite neighborhood restaurants for delicious comfort food. Service is always great and the overall vibe of the staff is what has kept me as a repeat customer.

Actually the best fried chicken in LB. And great sauces (ranch and fire are my favorites). The chefs work so hard, you can tell by the quality of food. P.S. don't miss out on the garlic noodles!

First visit today and will plan to go back! The person taking order was very sweet, calling everyone by name and cheerful even though it was very busy. The chicken sandwich was delicious and the half order of fries was big enough to share! My friend ordered a fried tofu salad that she loved.

Wow! This was so good. I've looked at this place on Yelp over and over, but never really thought about driving alllll the way down from Signal Hill to Broadway We ordered the Vietnamese grilled chicken salad, single piece of fried chicken, (there were actually two large pieces), some fried tofu, and pickled vegetables. It was super delicious, enough for at least two people, and under $30 total. The only thing I was bummed about was getting there and seeing that they had specials that weren't posted online, but I get that. They're busy making delicious food and not constantly updating their social media. I can't wait to try the delectable, looking desserts. The service was super, it was fun listening to the chef chatting about his latest new food discovery. Will definitely be back. Thank you!

Just got my food and my garlic sauce was missing.. I wish that was the only thing wrong with the order. I went to take the first bite into my nacho taco and there was a DRIED CONTACT LENSE IN IT!!! And then there was a hair in the chicken ceasar wrap... I waited 30 min longer than was initially told. So disgusting and unsanitary. Edited to reply to the owner: I'm not sure where a dried contact would suddenly pop up in a taco that was wrapped in paper, secured with a rubber band from your restaurant. And in terms of the hair, it was a very short black hair- which I know definitely didn't come from me. Just wanted to let you know..but thank you for the "apology". Owner is now private messaging me to accuse me of planting the contact and hair in the food to destroy a small business and get free food.. after waiting an hour, and the "free food" ended up in my trash.

Food was amazing, excellent poutine + fried chicken. Service was 10/10 as well, staff took time to explain and gave suggestions as well. Not many tables around to sit but a nice spot with amazing food
