Where to Eat at the U District Cherry Blossom Festival | Eater Seattle

"I saw that Ladd & Lass brewery is pouring a cherry sour, which sounds tart and seasonal for spring sippers." - Harry Cheadle

Love this spot! Super chill neighborhood brewery with a great variety of beers. 🍻 Trivia night on Thursdays is always a blast, and happy hour (3–5pm) is a solid deal. They sell their beer in cans too, which is perfect for taking home. Sometimes you’ll catch a food truck out front, but they’re cool with you bringing your own food as well. It’s a cozy, couple-owned place with an awesome community vibe. Definitely one of my go-to breweries!

Opened in late 2021, it’s the passion project of the husband-and-wife team Nick Ladd and Jessie Quan. The name "Ladd & Lass" is a clever nod to their partnership. Nick is a very experienced, having worked his craft at some of Seattle's favorite breweries, and that talent is evident in every pint. The tap list is diverse and has everything from impeccably crisp lagers (Addena Pils is supper tasty) to flavorful, modern Hazy IPAs (Hop Shuffle features new hop profiles in every batch) and even a hot dog flavored quaff. The taproom itself is bright and welcoming, with a genuine neighborhood feel that makes it an ideal spot to relax. For anyone who appreciates expertly crafted beer in a friendly, unpretentious setting, Ladd & Lass is a must-stop. @brewersassoc @homebrewassoc @touchdownbrewery #ParkerPose #BeerLife #BeerLove .

Came here for their trivia night on Thursdays and really loved the atmosphere here. The staff was super friendly and helpful when we asked questions about the beers. They had good options as well for my friends that don't love beer and prefer cider or sours. The location is a bit of a walk from other restaurants so they'll sometimes have food trucks outside with great options to pair with your beer. Also they're dog friendly! Limited street parking only in this area or there's a paid lot next door. Read the street parking more carefully than me; I ended up with a parking ticket :(

Really great brews. They are just getting started but it's already become a go-to for us. You gotta try the "light & sweet" coffee ale, so delicious. The location is very convenient. Typically there's some street parking just east or north of the brewery. Staff and owners are all good people. So head on over there and meet the Ladd, the Ladd, and their fine beers.

Came here on a Friday afternoon and was greeted by one of the owners. I asked her for a flight and she surprised me with some really great beers. I tried the white rabbit and it was AMAZING. SO GOOD. We played Uno for most of the afternoon while other people came in. Lots of dog owners which was really nice. The crowd here is super friendly and to be honest I didn’t want to leave. They didn’t have any food here, but it looks like they have rotating trucks come by every Thursday. Definitely a great and fun experience!

My first time here. I met some friends to enjoy some brews and the Lá Liath Bakery pop-up. I started off with the Blossom Hunter Fruited Sour paired with the Glamorgan Roll vegetarian pastry. Great combo. The sour was light and well balanced between the tart cherry and the hint of vanilla at the end, with the smoothness of the lactose. Our daughter who "doesn't like beer" had a sip and then ordered her own glass and loved it as did her friend. I followed it up with a Shorts Weather Schwarzbier (Schwarz weather anyone? Anyone?) Seeing as how it was in the 80s and I was in full dad-cargo shorts uniform, it seemed appropriate. An absolutely perfect Schwarzbier. There's not enough of these on tap around imho so it was great to not only find one but find one that was great. Next trip in I'll have to try some new beers but I think some cans of the Schwarzbier will need to come home with me. Oh, also a note about the music. Banger playlist. After two songs from the Beths in a row I told "Lass" that if she just played the Beths for the next two hours I'd leave a 5 star review. I was just kidding, the beer and space had already earned the 5 stars, but the playlist was chock full of Beths songs and a lot of other great tunes.
