The Best Picnic Spots In LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Pick-Up Food Options: Little Kingston Jamaican, Simply Wholesome, Jerusalem Chicken Between the grassy picnic areas, basketball courts, fitness centers, playgrounds, softball fields, barbecue pits, gazebos, and an amphitheater, the question isn’t, “What is there to do at Ladera Park?” It’s “Am I developing romantic feelings towards a public recreation center?” Probably. With its 16 sprawling acres and family-friendly atmosphere, this massive Park-Windsor Hills park is an ideal place to grab lunch with a friend, go for a long walk, or introduce your roommate to your latest board game obsession." - brant cox, arden shore

Queer Family Picnic - Review - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"This Saturday, January 23rd, Cuties LA will host an inaugural Queer Family Picnic at Ladera Park from 1-4pm. This is a kid and pet-friendly event, but even if you have neither, you’re still welcome. There will not be any snacks or food vendors, but grills will be available if you want to bring your own stuff to cook there. The event is free and look for the rainbow flag near the playground when you arrive. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Lovely little park in the middle of the city. Feels very clean and well looked after, restrooms, playground for kids tennis and basketball courts are available. You can bring your dog as long as they're on the leash and you clean after them. Lots of spaces and tables for picnic as well. Anice little place to stretch your legs in between trees and some green

A great old traditional disc golf park full of happy people, BBQ pits, benches, and squirrels.

Nice toddler playground. Adaptive swings. One sheltered picnic area. Many uncovered picnic tables. Didn't see a parking lot. Only street parking. Paved pathways to descend from street to park and playground. Basketball court on other side. Public bathrooms on each side of the (not too big, not too small) park.

Ladera Park in Inglewood is a total gem for anyone looking to chill or get active. It’s got everything: clean playgrounds for the kids, courts for basketball and tennis, and lots of space for picnics or just lounging around. The vibe is super community-focused, with lots of local events that bring everyone together. It’s always clean, feels safe, and there’s plenty of parking. Basically, it’s the go-to spot if you’re in Inglewood and want a cool place to hang out or meet up with friends. Definitely worth checking out!

Park was beautiful and lots of good use of space. The hill makes it a great place to play and roll down with your kids. The table areas and bathrooms were cleaned and the workout equipment all worked. Overall great and lovely park

This is a beautiful park hidden behind the main streets, with a playground, basketball courts, tennis courts, and a baseball field. But what really impresses me is the abundance of trees, and countless BBQ and picnic tables in the shade. Must a fantastic place to come out to during good weathers, which, LA has plenty.
