The 12 Best Bars In Mexico City 2024

"Ladina Bar feels like a step-up from your standard dive—it’s dark, with a relaxed and easy vibe, but the floors aren’t sticky and there aren’t any wobbly bar stools on their last legs. You’ll find a small beer and wine list, but you’re really here for the cocktails: they make a great Manhattan and an even better Naked and Famous. It’s open until 2am, so order one of each, wave to the person dancing enthusiastically to “Born In The USA” at the other end of the bar, and see where the night takes you." - guillaume guevara

Bar CDMX Review - Downtown LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"The moment we first walked into this DTLA basement bar below Seven Grand, we knew we’d be spending a lot of time here. As the name suggests, it's vaguely Mexico City-themed. All that translates to is a divey room full of people drinking carajillos and aged mezcal glowing on neon shelves. It would be hard to have a bad time here, considering the huge pool table and arcade games featuring Spanish-speaking Donkey Kong. But the best part is that everything on the drinks menu costs less than $15. Come for a weeknight cocktail before a show at The Regent or a full-throttle party on the weekend." - Nikko Duren

This was a midnight stop for us and it was a solid end to the night. The bartender was very nice and the drinks were good. They have the staples and very unique drinks as well. Reasonable prices and plenty of seats.

Great drinks. The bartender is fast and we ordered the Papas Latina which were fantastic. Cool space in a cool neighborhood.

I met a friend here on a Monday night. It was quiet at 5pm but by 7pm it was pretty full. Lots of first dates I suspected. We sat outside initially then moved inside. The music and vibes were pretty great. I had a margarita. It was good. Unfortunately I then ordered red wine which came ice cold. Like they’d been freezing it in the Appalachian mountains for months. When I mentioned this to my server he shrugged and left and because he wasn’t winning any attentive awards already, I was left to deal with my frosty vino. Didn’t try the food, not even sure they have any - I didn’t see anyone eating. I would still return and stick to their specialty which is cocktails. There are plenty of excellent wine bars in CDMX and this just isn’t one of them.

This is an awesome spot. We came here twice and enjoyed both times a lot. Great cocktails and great music. We tried some of their bites on our second visit and we were surprised at how good the food was! The fancy margarita is probably the best margarita I've had. It doesn't look fancy but it's delicious... it doesn't taste like a normal margarita, it's more tart and has interesting flavor notes. The purple daisy was also so interesting and delicious! All their cocktails are top notch and the vibe is not to be missed.

Cool little cocktail lounge. 90s rock on the stereo, dim lighting, classic cocktails. Nice staff. Comfy.

Yep, other reviewers were right. This is by far the best bar I’ve been to in Mexico City and one of the best I’ve ever been too. Food is also banging. Got one of the steak frites and definitely didn’t regret that.

Lovely little dive bar. Reminds me of BJs lounge in New Orleans. We ordered the steak frites rib eye. Perfectly done and the drinks are delicious and the prices were a refreshing change from other places nearby.
