Dishonestly lists it's menu prices by adding a restaurant set fee to the price. I live near this restaurant and thus find it painful to remove from my eating-out rotation. However their approach towards their customers and towards honesty & ethics forces me to never return. The addition of 4% fee (which is not a tax and not required by the city) serves to demonstrate their approach towards truthfulness & transparency. Due to their dishonesty 1 star and I shall not return. If they wanted to be honest and transparent they'd advertise their true price on the menu (and optionally include information about healthcare on the receipt).

This is hands down my favorite spot for lunch. The team here is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and it's the kind of place where you'll see familiar faces every day. The food is consistently fresh and delicious—I have been coming here for months, and it never disappoints. I'm addicted to their tomato soup, but all the soups are amazing (and so are their sandwiches, which I usually grab too). There's also a quiet seating area and restrooms if you want to enjoy your meal there. If you're looking for a reliable spot with amazing fresh food and friendly service, this is it!

I did a Build Your Own Salad(half size), which includes one type of greens, 4 toppings(like pickled onions, peppers, cucumber , etc) and 1-2 dressings. The chicken is very basic and bland, no taste, no flavors, no seasoning, and is still for $3.5 additional cost. The bowl came up to $13.5, which is not worth it, considering the quantity as well as the taste.

San Francisco Soup Company is another chain restaurant that is targeted at the downtown lunch crowd. I think it has more than half a dozen locations in FiDi so you will run into a location every couple of blocks. As its name suggests its main offering is 5-6 different types of soups and it also has pre-made half sandwiches and salads that you can pick up from the counter before paying. This is the location that I've been to the most as it is closest to my place of work. During peak lunch hour as expected it is very busy with a line that almost touches the street. Also as expected it moves fast and it has never taken me more than 15 minutes to be in and out. Over a period of time I've tried a bunch of their soups and like the Mexican Chicken Tortilla Soup, Turkey Chili and New England Clam Chowder best. The soup comes with a slice of bread that you can help yourself too. I've not got their sandwich or salads as these don't look appealing to me. Price wise a small cost $6.50 and the large is $7.50 so it's very reasonable and comparable to what you will pay at other restaurants in FiDi. Soups are pretty decent but somehow it feels like an incomplete meal without the paired half sandwich, hence this place is A-OK at best.

Really bad food. Everything was lacking flavor, missing the most basic salt and pepper. The egg salad sandwich was so dry and had no flavor. The chicken noodle soup was barely edible.

Lots of fresh offerings, including a unique Avocado & Pepper Jack cheese sandwich. Love it! The Mexican Chicken Tortilla soup goes very well with the Avocado Pepper Jack.

Fresh and great. I was a little lost and called the location and the lady on the phone was the nicest ever took her time and explained how to get there after I parked once I got there. I was very happy. She was very nice and the food was great and extremely fresh like it was just picked, and the bread is fantastic there as well. Highly recommend.

I come here all the time. The service is fast (I also order through Ritual). I love getting the Soup & Sandwich Pairing with Organic Tomato Bisque Soup + Turkey Pesto Sandwich. It's suuuuch a good combo! Always delicious tasting. Sometimes I like getting the Grandma Mary's Chicken Soup. I recently tried their Asian Tofu Salad and that was really good too!
