The 11 Best Coffee Shops in Broward County | Eater Miami

"When in Coral Springs, Lady & The Mug is as welcoming and poppy as it gets. The spot keeps it fresh with a “Drink of the Month” which has recently included the likes of a “Rose before Bros” with pistachio, rose, and espresso. You can grub here too with quirkily-named sandwiches like a bacon-jammed Holla for a Challah, and chicken maple sausage-dazzled Bad Mother-Clucker."

Lady and the Mug is such a charming spot! The atmosphere is cozy and creative, with beautiful decor that makes you want to take pictures from every angle. The presentation of the drinks and food is super cute, and it’s clear a lot of love goes into the details. It’s a great place to sit, relax, and enjoy a nice cup of coffee. I can definitely see the passion behind the concept, and I’m excited to come back and try more. Wishing this place lots of success!

I stopped by for a snack and beverage. This cafe is super cozy with plants scattered throughout and there is a separate co-working space with a sliding door to keep the noise down. I tried the Holy Cow-zone: steak and cheese calzone, which hits the spot as a nice mid-day snack. If you’re not in the mood for coffee, there is hot or iced tea available. Their tea is from British tea brand, Taylors of Harrogate. I had the sweet rhubarb iced, which went well with the calzone.

Google
This coffee shop bakery offers well marked gluten free and vegan options and a bunch of coffee and tea concoctions. With my pita full of sunshine after I passed on Holla for a Challah, I enjoyed a herbal tea blend. Delicious I love the low key kind vibe that engulfs the place with a mosaic design of lemons and comfy indoor loveseat and cool tables as well as accessible out door tables. I love the loveseat that looks like 2 hands hugging me. Cool wall decor too Menus are white laminated with dark letters fairly readable I love the motto on the door: and most importantly BE NICE... or go to Starbucks Accessible entry and exit with push door. Accessible restroom. Accessible with grab bars and 5ftx5 ft space Accessible van pay by app street parking with curb cuts

First visit. Their espresso machine was temporarily down, which is unfortunate for a coffee shop, but they made up for it with a delicious iced chai and mocha. Great little shop with cool variety of seating options and very friendly service. Good date spot.

Stellar

Google
Good coffee, friendly staff, fun environment, plenty of seating, what more could one want from a coffee shop? The seating in particular is worth noting, they have a wide variety of table/chair types, which I think is good as I have more choices for how to sit. Definitely a spot I will be returning to for work/study. I got the special March Charmed Latte! It was a little too sweet for my taste but I suppose that’s to be expected when it’s topped with Lucky Charms and after all, I did drink it all!

Google
I went here and ordered a vanilla latte and a blue berry bagel. I was surprised to see that the bagel was just a Thomas brand bagel. The latte did not meet my expectations. I had to ask them to fix the drink and even after they fixed it I could not drink it. The setting of the cafe is extremely cute. I thought I would like the coffee and food much more than I did.

You walk into a small cafe and the place is clean. I was greeted as I came in and the servers were nice to me as they prepared my order. The cafe presentation was very nice although the food could have been better.

Google
I was in the area and decided to search for a nearby coffee shop to grab some morning coffee. Lady & the Mug came up in my search, and I decided to give it a try. I was fortunate enough to find parking right in front of the coffee shop, which made my visit even more convenient. When I walked inside, I was immediately impressed by the cozy and inviting ambiance of the shop. It had a warm, relaxed atmosphere that truly captured the essence of a great coffee spot, making it a perfect place to start the day. From the menu, I decided to go with a classic Drip Coffee and a Vegan Burrito for breakfast. My order arrived promptly, and I started with the Drip Coffee. It was excellent--smooth, rich, and made with freshly roasted coffee beans that gave it a wonderful depth of flavor. It really hit the spot for my morning caffeine fix. Next, I dug into the Vegan Burrito, which was equally satisfying. The flavors were well-balanced, and every bite was delicious. It was light yet filling, and the combination of fresh ingredients made for a great breakfast option. Overall, my experience at Lady & the Mug was fantastic. From the ambiance to the food and coffee, everything was spot on. It's definitely a place I would return to for both the quality of the coffee and the welcoming environment.

Yelp
Lady and the Mug is one of the best places to be productive in the Tampa area, in my opinion! Lots of seating, and there's even a quiet room which is super cool. The decor inside is special and I love their unique vibe! The staff are the real stars, though. Both of the women we talked to were exceptionally friendly and seemed extremely passionate about giving us a 5-star experience. I just got an unsweet cappuccino, but the food items looked so good and I'd love to come back and try more. Would definitely recommend Lady and the Mug!

Yelp
This was a cute little coffee shop. I'd seen it before but never ventured in. My friends and I met up here and loved the atmosphere. The best part was the table with swings! It made you feel like a kid again but enjoying your coffee! We got there on a Saturday morning, so it was semi-busy, but it seemed to progress smoothly and not hold up wait times. We each got something different, so it was nice to see the different drinks as they came prepared. The wall art and cute decor kept our attention. I would come back here and hang out for sure!

Yelp
Oh, for cute! The whimsy! The sass! The morning light! Why am I not here every stinkin' day? I'll work on that. But first, this review! Lady & The Mug is in the Grand Central area-just south of Oxford Exchange (near the University of Tampa). It's on the bottom floor, corner, of a tall building (likely residential). I'm told there's a parking garage (look for the retail spaces), but I found street parking, around 8am on a Tuesday. This place has spunk-and it's right there on the front door. Inside, it's cute and modern, stylish and young, with tons of personality. There's a pastry case that packs lots of variety and fun names. There's also a grab and go case and, of course, beverages galore. I went with the hot matcha and a guava and cheese turnover. Oh yeah, good stuff. And so many places to sit and enjoy it-a couch, little tables, a room you can make private and even a large table with swings. (yes!) People were in there studying-working-chatting-or like me, just staring and basking in the glow. (I was rebuilding after a long night at work) Next time, I'll swing! And next time might come tomorrow! The baristas are so fast and efficient! I'll ask for their recommendations. See ya there!

Yelp
Nice chic little place, room to sit down if you want to. The coffee and the food are worth it.

Yelp
Good coffee, friendly staff, and a fun environment. There's plenty of seating available, which I appreciate because I can choose how I want to sit. I will definitely come back to this place to work or study. I tried the March Charmed Latte, which was a bit too sweet for me, but I expected that since it has Lucky Charms on top. Still, I drank it all!

Yelp
This place is adorable!! The cold brew was spectacular and actually pretty cheap, not to mention the cute cup it came in too! I'll definitely be coming back here to do some work, as they have such a cozy vibe and even a quiet room that can be closed off. 10/10 spot!

Yelp
This is the place! Such chill work vibes. It was decently quiet with good lowkey music. The baristas were so friendly. Very approachable menu and super cute glassware and plates. It was clean and inviting, lots of space and free wifi! I stumbled upon this place after planning to go to Oxford exchange but forgetting you have to PAY for their wifi. This was a breath of fresh air!
google avatar

Yelp
Good food and good vibes. Overall good experience. Thanks for the hospitality. The vegan options were great and appreciated the brownie and muffin

Yelp
The service, coffee, pastries and ambiance are the reason this will be my go to coffee spot when I visit Tampa. I had a caramel vanilla latte, glazed donut and mini cinnamons. I did not know exactly what to pick when I entered but the friendly staff were very helpful. I loved the mini couches we set on and they even have a co worker space.
google avatar

Kate B.

Yelp
Really good iced latte in a fun glass. Chocolate was delightful as well. The seating all felt a bit crowded. I tried the quiet room as I was by myself but it smelled like old standing water in there, perhaps because it was next to the bathroom. Switched to a couch. Ok ambiance but again, all the seating felt too crowded. I'm come back for another latte

Yelp
Been here a couple times and loved it. I actually haven't tried the drinks since I'm not really a coffee person but I was pretty impressed with the food menu. And the inside is sooooo cute, love everything from the swing chairs to the plants even to the dishes. And I appreciate they have a water tap to serve yourself! Need to try one of the tea drinks sometime. Calming and relaxing; good for either meeting with a friend or getting work done.
google avatar

Yelp
They know how to make a yummy coffee! I order a simple iced latte with oat milk and they never add too much oat milk (which is difficult to find in tampa). However sometimes the staff is a hit or miss - some of them are super sweet and some of them come off as rude and I feel like I'm bothering them by ordering lol.

Yelp
This is a cute spot and a great location in between downtown and south tampa. The inside is pleasant and vary spacious, lots of seating for studying or co working. They also have food available too. When I walked in I was confused where the coffee menu was then I looked up and say it hanging from the ceiling. They have a lot of food and drink options and you could spend the whole day there.

Yelp
Spending a day in Tampa with my mentee, we decided to start our day at this cute local coffee shop. It was quaint, lively and service was pretty quick considering it was only two baristas working the counter at the time. Both baristas were really nice. The food was pretty good. They serve standard coffee shop pastries and sandwiches. If you are looking for anything heavier to put on your stomach, this may not be the best option. But for quick, light bites to eat, this is a great spot. I got the guava and cheese puff pastry alongside the lavender matcha latte with oat milk. Both were amazing, but the highlight was definitely the lavender matcha latte. Price points were great and the overall decor - though very tight - was cute. I really loved that they have a co-working space if you wanted to work there as well as a table with swings for seats! That added a cute and playful effect to the overall coffee shop. All in all, great little spot!

Yelp
Mediocre. Ordered iced oat latte with 1/2 caramel and 1/2 vanilla. Tasted extremely watered down. Lack of flavor including espresso, tasted like all milk and ice. Also I don't know if this means anything but there's was Zero customers. Is that a tell? Should I have seen that as red flag? But any who i was disappointed with my drink :/
google avatar

Yelp
Happy to see a coffee shop other than Starbucks opened for Thanksgiving. The staff was super nice definitely wanted to try the seasonal maple latte they recommend it warm that was so creamy delicious and I'm not usually a warm coffee drinker but this was perfect on a nice breezy afternoon.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped for breakfast and was extremely disappointed. After 15 min wait got some coffee that was ok and a terrible soggy croissant that was microwaved and one of the cinabons I ever had. Hope they get better.
google avatar

Yelp
The coffee and the food was really good especially the rose and pistachio latte. The ladys were kind all the time. The all place looks amazing perfect for a go out with your friends.

Yelp
Love love this place ! it is by far one of my fav places to go early morning and get to study. Service is great & ambiance is super calm in the hours i go overall I love it
google avatar

Shanique R.

Yelp
I always order delivery from Lady and the Mug but I finally made it there to pick up! I always get the matcha latte which is consistently good and a muffin. The muffins are fresh and matcha is made to perfection. The inside is decorated so nicely with plenty of seating and great for getting work done.

Yelp
We enjoyed grabbing a cup of coffee with girls! Cute little place near by University of Tampa!

Yelp
Super cute, small coffee shop in downtown tampa They serve coffee, sandwiches and other pastries that are pretty good The place itself is what attracts you to Lady and the mug, from the cute butterfly benches outside to the swings around a table inside and the chill music playing giving it such a well rounded vibes I got a mocha latte and a breakfast sandwich Both delicious!
google avatar

Yelp
Ambience was good, plenty of seating. Nice people, really good chai tea latte. Had the rainbow vegan bagel and it was delish!!

Yelp
Came here on Tuesday morning! Customer service is super sweet and friendly love the atmosphere. I got the hazelnut latte and I absolutely enjoyed it. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Love it every time I go with the family! It feels like a little shop with a lot to say! Flavors on coffee are unreal (cold brew and lattes alike). They theme their seasonal, and they hit their mark like no one else around. Service is outstanding and welcoming each time you come in... they love what they do there. Try it out for yourself... you might find your new favorite home away from home coffee shop!

Yelp
Today was my first time ever going to "Lady & The Mug." I let the cashier know that I have never been here and if she could tell me about the options but the girl seemed quite annoyed and just pointed towards the sign. Overall the ambiance looked nice and cozy. I didn't stick around due to the cashier making me feel unwanted as a customer. DOES NOT MEAN I won't give this place another shot. Everything deserves a second chance and I understand that the shop had been impacted by the hurricane. All I hope for is a better customer experience in the future. Date: October 16th, 2024

Yelp
Good for coffee and a lovely space to work or talk with friends but the day old breakfast sandwiches were a miss which is why I can't give this coffee shop 5 stars. With so many places in Tampa to get cofee we chose this coffee shop bc of the vegan & gluten free options. That's why I'm so disappointed in the food. The breakfast sandwiches are pre-made and sotting in a display case to heat up when a customer orders them. I get they were not made fresh in front of you but the egg (plant based) was so dried out it tasted at least a day old. The plant based sausage was excellent and otherwise saved a boring breakfast sandwich. The other issue was my $5 cappuccino tasting weak. Look, I don't mind paying $5-6 for a small cappuccino using oatmilk BUT it better transport me to Italy. This cappuccino was just a standard cappuccino you'd get at an average coffee shop. Certainly not a 5 star cappuccino. The shop is super cute. Sidewalk patio and lots of windows for lovely lighting.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, food, and coffee. Service was friendly and welcoming. Really cute inside and outside seating available. Would recommend!
google avatar

Nalini R.

Yelp
This place is such a vibe!! So cute and zen inside and the food is fresh and clean. The chai tea latte is the perfect balance of sweet and creamy. FYI if you like a quiet study spot in downtown on a Sunday morning this is not it. There are a ton of families and young people and just an overall mix of people that jampacked the dining room and lots of conversation going on, so not super quiet for a Sunday. I'd imagine on a random weekday, though it could be a cool and quiet study spot.

Yelp
Great spot to grab an amazing coffee/latte and breakfast with great lounge areas and work spaces ..very cute place with great staff

Yelp
Met a friend here while visiting tampa! We had both never been here before so I didn't know what to expect. The decor is charming with amazing swing seating! I loved it bc I get fidgety sometimes and it's fun to swing while looking out the window or chatting. As for the actual food and drink, it was quite average. Iced americano tasted bitter and surprisingly not iced at all... it felt room temp when I first received it which isn't every refreshing. I also ordered the Holla for Challah and it was smaller than I expected. The flavor was average bacon egg cheese style but for the price I think it could've been a little bigger. Also the employees felt extremely curt and not friendly... there was a sign on the door saying if you weren't nice to visit Starbucks instead which I found to be off putting instead of charming. So if I were in the area again I wouldn't visit and would try a different cafe.

Yelp
My husband and I came here before hitting a fishing spot and it was AMAZING!!!! I got the iced chai with almond milk and it was literally perfect! My husband got an iced oat milk latte with caramel and he said it was super good!!! We both got something to eat, a croissant and a blueberry muffin and both were super delicious!!! The atmosphere was super cool too with fun designs on the walls! The sweet young girl at the counter was super attentive and asked if we needed any help since this was our first time! Definitely coming back again!

Yelp
I actually stumbled upon this place by accident with the intent of meeting a friend at an entirely different coffee shop haha! But I'm SO glad we ended up here - it's the best coffee I've tried in the Tampa Bay area so far! As soon as you walk in, it's hard to ignore the fun seating options and large artificial tree that spans the floor to the ceiling. There are life-sized flowers, swinging chairs, and fun quotes on every surface - what's not to love?! The menu was larger than expected as well, even though the food was slightly disappointing. Our order consisted of an iced vanilla latte and chai tea - both served in huge glasses with reusable metal straws - and the "bacon my way downtown" breakfast sandwich (eggs, bacon & cheese). The sandwich included an everything bagel, but it was the weirdest I'd ever tasted. The top part was stale and soggy, while the bottom was so burnt that I couldn't even break it with my teeth. And when I snapped it with my hands, it became a dark brown crumble. Overall, maybe worth the $8 in coffee, but I'm never going for anything they use a toaster for again. There's free WiFi and a very clean public bathroom. The parking is a little lacking because of everything else in the area, plus it's predominantly the parallel kind, but at least it's free! If I end up in this area again, I'll have to stop in and order one of their weekly specials.

Yelp
I was staying in Tampa with my sister and husband for the weekend and was looking for a coffee shop within walking distance of the hotel. The coffee shop is sooo cute- different seating options, including couches and a table with swings as the seats. Great for photos. They also sell some cute merch. We each ordered something different. I got a latte, my sis got a cold brew, and my husband got a matcha latte. Everything came out fairly quickly and we all enjoyed our drinks. The glass for the matcha was cute and tropical. I got adorable latte art. The staff were friendly and very nice. We had a chill Saturday morning enjoying our drinks. Would definitely go back if I'm in the area.

Hailey V.

Yelp
Amazing coffee and great service! Such a cute local coffee shop, definitely my new favorite coffee spot. Perfect for doing work or school too. Obsessed with their cappuccino (i add in sf vanilla syrup and oat milk) and the vegan mcbluffin! Highly recommend!
google avatar

Alexios V.

Yelp
Not only does this place have a great vibe but great customer service and even better coffee. Highly recommend the cold brew!

Lexi G.

Yelp
Went with a couple of family members when we were in town, there's an adorable ambiance inside, with great decor and interesting plating. I got an iced chai, and I was fantastic, my sandwich was slightly dry but that was easily overlooked because it tasted great. A great little place to chat or work on homework
google avatar

Yelp
This place is AH-MAZING!!! I might be late to the game in checking this place out but if you haven't been---You have to go!! I visited the Tampa location. Staff---Top notch and so friendly. Amy the manager is example of great customer service. We have to work from home this week due to remodel in office and I worked from here two days in a row and going back tomorrow. FOOD-I had both the Holla for a Challah and Bacon my way downtown and both were delicious! Coffee was great too! VIBE--very cool signs, furniture, and upbeat music. Just an overall great experience and stress free place.
google avatar

Jenny Z.

Yelp
Playful little cafe. I really enjoyed having my matcha latte in this space. They close pretty early at 2pm, but otherwise it's a nice spot to visit in the morning and do some research!

Ana L.

Yelp
Cute little place. Food was good, tho overpriced. Espresso shots were pre-poured for who knows how long which is gross, if you want fresh coffee and fresh not frozen food this isn't the place.
google avatar

C G.

Yelp
We ordered two lattes with dark chocolate syrup - they were deliciously dark. We both remarked upon how good the chocolate was and that never happens because it's never dark enough for us. Perfection! The baristas definitely know what they are doing. Nice vibe inside to get some work done and do a little people watching.
google avatar

Yelp
Ambiance is posh and fun always enjoy a enjoyable and relaxed sip sess here. It's like being let into a secret garden, from the leafy tree and it's canopy scrolling the ceiling to the whimsical seating choices. Service is prompt and cheerful smiles and polite interactions. A must for a service driven cafe, it's not a chain but a personal experience from a female owned perspective. Food well hmm, you have your GF and Vegan choices as well as traditional eggs meat sandwiches. Croissants, muffins and even a bit of champagne and if you choose. Very nice experience elevated personalized cozy. If you read this review you better hit a thumbs up because I definitely steered you in the correct place thoroughly explained.
google avatar

Micah L.

Yelp
The coffee is great, however, the breakfast sandwich is not great. Two pieces of floppy bacon, frozen egg patty, cheese, and an everything bagel heated in a microwave, it seemed. Two coffees and two dog toys came to $28. I implore you to reconsider your breakfast preparation and execution or just don't serve it.

Yelp
Lady and the Mug, love the name, the coffee and the decor...the pastries could use a little work. Atmosphere: Hidden in the tall buildings of new construction is be Lady and the Mug. A cute and welcoming cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. The vibe is right and this is a great place to grab a cup of coffee or snack and hang. Coffee: The coffee was good. We got a cappuccino with oat milk and an iced lavender latte with cow milk. The coffee art on the cappuccino was an instant pick me up. Well done and adorable. Who doesn't like coffee art? The lavender latte was perfect, not too sweet! Food: The vegan breakfast sandwich was great, lots of flavor. Also, kudos on the vegan offerings, they have a nice variety of items. Where this place fell short for me was the pastries. I got the guava and cheese and it was very tough and lack flavor, a bit disappointing. Service: Fantastic. Knowledgeable staff who greeted us immediate and made suggestions. Overall, would come back.

Beth O.

Yelp
Went in for coffee, came out happily caffeinated and rejuvenated by the atmosphere! Lovely- will be back! I was surprised by some less than 5 star reviews about this place- then I checked out other past reviews left by those that were unhappy, and realized that's just what they are- unhappy folks who, to a person, leave almost ALL one star reviews no matter where they visit. I always keep that in mind when reading reviews!

Yelp
Stumbled across this place on our way back to our cars from the OE. And if you've read my other reviews on tea places then you know Brigitte L. had to try this place lol. We were a bit confused about the no outside food or drink as we had to go boxes from the OE. So we had our other friend and my daughter wait outside with them while we went inside to check the place out. Immediately greeted and asked if this was our first time in. After answering yes she told us about they drink special and that they have gluten free pastries. I am a huge fan of matcha tea soo I got the matcha latte and paid the $.75 extra for almond milk. She handed me this cute pager that would go off as soon as my tea was ready but they were so quick that the lady have me my tea right after I paid lol. The tea was absolutely delicious!! Creamy and soo good, not gritty. I devoured that whole thing lol. I'll definitely be back when in the area. Thanks Lady and the Mug for making my matcha dream come true :) Let's not forget the darling decor of this place too!! They have a table that the benches are swings. Cool!!!

Yelp
Should change the name to pissed off and the mug because clearly no one wants to be working here. From the overpriced food items that come out of the freezer and into a microwave to the attitude the staff gives you when you try to modify an order. Terrible service would not recommend

Tarsha H.

Yelp
This is the best food I have had while here in Tampa. I really enjoyed the food. The oxtails were very tender and falling off the bone
