Lady Brabourne College

One of prestigious heritage college of Kolkata, under Calcutta University, have a nice college campus & compound for girls. Behavior of stuffs are great, I was there to appear for a government service competitive examination, its opposite to Park circus Maidan.

Nice place for Govt. Exams. But, their behavior is not so good though. 🥲 College premises is very ecofriendly & has a huge space .

Lady Brabourne is a Government College. If you search "Government College" in google maps, then Lady Brabourne College does not appera because the category selected in the google map page is "Women's College". Inexperienced, uninformed and out-of-station students will not realise it as a government institution but a s private institution. The college authority should really use the "Government college" tag. It's irresponsible and half-baked to use Women's college tag because when they open the website they will realise it as a Women's college. But a lot of people will never understand the difference between a government college and a government aided college.

One of the best colleges in Kolkata. The campus is so beautiful it feels like home. The teachers are extremely good, qualified and most importantly, very helpful. (At least the ones that I have come across) Definitely a college to consider for undergrads since it shapes students into their best self.

Good faculty and campus. Ranked among one of the top colleges under CU. Very valuable brand name. The environment is good with lush greenery. The professors and staff are helpful as well.

It is a nice experience to go here. Except that the college is at an odd place. But at the inside of the clg, one will get an old world charm.

Brabourne emanates nostalgia. The old college building, the old classrooms have witnessed the bravest and smartest women of earlier times. It used to make me proud everytime I entered the college and I'm still proud that it happens to be my alma mater. I have got tonnes of memories made and pictures taken inside this campus. Though in my third year, a new building came up which is the Post Graduation building. I attended lectures there too. The campus is pretty big with lots of greenery. You'll find the names of trees alongwith their scientific names attached to their trunks. There were 3 canteens in the campus when I graduated (2018). The quality of education imparted there is A1 and everyone is pretty much aware of it. However the only problem is, DISCIPLINE. The rules are wayyyy too strict. You'll feel like you are at a school. The campus is ragging-free which is a blessing.

It is a beautiful looking college at Park Circus in Kolkata -700017 . It is situated in near Park Circus Maidan ( Near Don Bosco Circle ) . Behaviour of the staff is quite good I can say . From Park Circus railway station (PQS) this college is in about 10 minutes walking distance . Hope this will help you guys.
