Where to Get the Best Mooncakes in Los Angeles and Orange County | Eater LA

"I notice Lady M's limited-edition mooncake gift sets bring a touch of luxury—mooncakes inspired by their best-selling mille crepe cakes in flavors like Earl Grey, black sesame, passionfruit, and matcha-chocolate custard—each sumptuously packaged set even comes with a lantern that lights up with illustrations and a Jade Rabbit projection." - Kristie Hang

Best Mille crepe cakes ever. The cakes are so soft, decadent, and delicious. Perfect amount of sweetness, absolutely just melts in your mouth, so heavenly. They come with a bag of ice to keep the cake cool, and the to go bag is reusable too. On the pricier side but definitely worth the price, multiple times better than other cakes.

Lady M (est 2001) is a luxurious and classy dessert bakery store inside a mall. It is most famous for the creation of Signature Mille Crêpes. It blends French pastry techniques with Japanese sensibilities, resulting in fine thin cakes that are a touch sweet and perfect for every occasion. However, the quality is either a hit or miss which don’t equate the high end tag price. Staff was cordial. Atmosphere was relaxing. Parking was not an issue given its in a large shopping mall. At the end of the day there are better dessert shops that trump Lady M’s cakes. Overall, it’s a modest luxury cake shop. If you’re into presentation then quality this brand is for you.

Visited Lady M two days ago on Thursday afternoon and had one of the most unpleasant customer service experiences I have ever had. A staff member who appeared to be Chinese, in her twenties and not very tall, was extremely rude when we asked about seating in the front. She spoke with a harsh and dismissive tone and insisted there was “no way” to open the tables without any attempt to explain or help. The attitude was shocking and completely unwelcoming. We left feeling uncomfortable and disrespected. This is not the level of hospitality expected from a place with Lady M’s reputation. We will unfortunately be contacting the head office as well.

Google
Cakes are really good, and very expensive. The whole luxury cake thing is kind of odd since the association is not common. Good cake should be approachable, but this has become some sort of like the stuck up type. Not talking about the service, the ladies were friendly. But I’m saying the feel of the brand

I was eating my way through San Gabriel's food scene and decided to have dessert. Located inside the Santa Anita mall on 2nd floor with plenty of parking. Some unique flavors of mille cake on offer included passion fruit, purple yam, jasmine calamansi, and matcha chocolate. The passion fruit tasted just like the fruit; not too strong with perfectly dense layers like you typically expect from Lady M. Customers can devour their slice at the designated seating area just a few steps away with tables and chairs. A Lady M employee wearing glasses was "guarding" this area and when we asked about sitting there after our purchase she wasn't friendly or welcoming at all. Just ignored me which was the only negative about our experience! Lady M is not cheap so I expected better customer service.

I walked in, wanted to order a slice of cake to eat there. But the person I talked with in the store was not sure nice. I asked her could you open the outside dining area. She said we will when we have more customers. I really don’t want to play pregnancy card but walking to the store from parking lot, eating there also taking a break is really what I wanted at that moment. So I had to order couple slices to go. Always love lady M cake but never ran into such unpleasant experience.

Always order to go order for family and friends birthday cake I was real Fany of Lady M since they open and the price is only$ 80 Now this day went up to $ 120 and I still support

Google
I have always admired Lady M for its cakes and presentation but my recent visit on Thursday afternoon was very disappointing and I saw the other folks in recent reviews agree. We bought several cakes and wanted to use the front tables. Her laziness came with excuses stating something about company policy. The Asian worker was stone cold and as curt as can be. Lady M has always been known to be elegant and her manners unfortunately contradicted their usually reputation. There was absolutely no effort to explain why or suggest another option and her tone felt unnecessarily hostile. It really dampened the experience and left a bad impression on what should have been an enjoyable visit and unfortunately many others either heard or now know about it.

Yelp
It's been forever since I've had Lady M, so when I spotted it while walking around Santa Anita Mall with my mom, I had to stop! Total impulse decision -- and no regrets. I went for the pistachio mille crêpe, and wow... it was heavenly -- light, creamy, and layered perfectly. It's definitely on the sweeter side, but still super delicious. We sat in the little section just for Lady M, and they even serve water, which was a nice touch. The ambiance is adorable -- very chic and boutique-y. Such a cute spot to treat yourself (and your mom). Totally hit the spot.

Yelp
We come here once in a while to get few slices. Tried some new flavors! I am surprised they are actually doing a buy 3 get 1 free slice promotion! I got two slices but my parents got 3 so we got a free slice from them since we paid together. But I will just talk about my purchases. Dubai Chocolate~This flavor is $15 each slice! I think they should have a price tag on the difference of price on the cakes. I think this one is just okay. Not as good as I expected. It needs more of the Pistachio flavor and fillings. But it's definitely not bad as Lady M always have good quality. Strawberry Strudel~This has a cream cheese fillings. It's pretty good if you like cream cheese and a slight strawberry flavor. The red/pink stuff on top is pretty tasty. Not sure what it is. However, it's still not something I would repeat. My favorite flavors from Lady M is still their Tiramisu. Their Ube is pretty good too. I think I just like it when the flavor is stronger and true to taste to what it's supposed to be. Some of these flavors are not as strong as I would imagine or sometimes it's too sweet. Their service is normal. Nothing stands out. Ambiance is simple.

Yelp
I love their cakes. The strawberry shortcake was moist, light and just the perfect amount of sweetness. I also tried their passion fruit crepe cake recently and I loved the passion fruit flavor. The cake tasted tropical and the flavors were balanced. Some crepe cakes honestly taste like eating paper to me and I didn't like that kind of texture. However, Lady M's crepe cakes have the crepes so thin that the texture didn't bother me. In the past I have always ordered their traditional cakes, now I will start getting their crepe cakes. I did get their moon cake special edition box last year. The box was beautiful but the flavors did't work for me. The flavor combinations didn't come together and that's why I am not giving them 5 stars. The flavors were more modern like lychee and rose flavored moon cakes. They were pretty flavorless. I like this location at the Santa Anita mall because they have their own seating area right outside the store. Service was good. Lady M is always a treat!

Yelp

Yelp
I was really disappointed with my experience at Lady M. I bought a box of Crêpe Biscuits on September 27th, and when I opened it, it smelled like spoiled oil -- clearly bad. The expiration date said October, so it technically wasn't expired, but it definitely can not be eat! I went back to the store to ask for an exchange, not even a refund, but they refused. For awell-known brand like Lady M, I expected much better customer service. Sadly, I'll never buy from them again.

Yelp
So the look of this place gives this trendy classic vibe, but it's just ridiculously overpriced. First off, there is no menu! You don't really know how much things are or what the options is. However there is a drink menu when you ASK for it. Their drinks are typically but really pricey for what it is. Their cakes and drinks are amazing tho. They are delicious. They have an "outdoor" sitting area. Apparently it's closed sooo can't use it so what's the point. Also, the girl helping us seem really didn't want to be there. She wasn't really helpful. It made us uncomfortable and wanted to leave.

Yelp
This is a small mille crepe cake shop located on the second floor of Santa Anita Mall next to Din Tai Fung Service was ok, not too good or bad Pricing is definitely pricey so expect to splurge $12.65 for a slice of their mille crepe cake! The 9" crepe cakes cost $115 and 6" crepe cakes cost $70! There is a good variety of flavors, such as matcha, strawberry, tres leches, earl grey, checkers, and tiramisu! The Green Tea Mille Crepe (slice - $12.65) was very creamy and delicious! Loved the many layers and how it wasn't too sweet! Wish the matcha had a stronger taste since it tasted very subtle. This was 7/10 Signature Mille Crepe (slice - $12.65) was very good! Really enjoyed how I could taste every layer since this was the original without any additional flavor! Loved the light cream on every layer and how soft it was! This was 9/10 Tiramisu Mille Crepe (slice - $12.65) is a MUST for coffee lovers! So yummy with all of the many layers that were thinly covered with cream and espresso sponge cake! This was definitely one of my favorites! This was 10/10 Definitely the most expensive cake slices I've gotten but definitely recommend for first timers!

Yelp
I tried their new Dubai Chocolate Mille Crêpes and it did not disappoint! Their mille-feuille cakes are always on point, and this new flavor is definitely worth a try if you're looking for something different.

Yelp
The cakes from Lady M are not that sweet and they are delicious. I don't really eat sweet stuff, including cakes, but I can eat more than one slice of Lady M cakes at once, so I really have to be careful when eating them to prevent myself from eating too many slices of cake in one day. I am so glad that they have Dubai Chocolate cake, and I have been getting them every time I go to Santa Anita Mall Arcadia because it is so yummy. Sometimes, when I am really craving for it, I get the 9-inch one. Lately, they have a new purple yam cake, which is also delicious and instantly becomes one of my favorites. They also have the same-day pick up order on their website, which is super useful for me because I can place my orders in the morning when all the cakes are still available to be picked up in the evening. I usually go to the mall in the evening after work, but they often run out of my favorites by then. I think some of their workers may have some assumptions/judgements on their customers and may treat their customers differently based on their assumptions. There was one occasion when I was about to buy one 9-inch chocolate cakes plus some slices of cakes in different flavors, but they assumed that I only wanted to buy 1 slice. At first, when they assumed I only wanted to buy one slice of cake (probably with how plain and casual my look was), they showed an indifferent face while grabbing the box for the cake. However, after I told them I want the whole chocolate cake plus some slices of other flavors, they instantly became very friendly and polite to me, even informing me that they have the same-day pick up on the website. The sudden change of mood was kinda funny lol. I never encountered their rudeness so far because I always buy a lot when I go there as I don't go to the mall too often.

Yelp
Stopped by on Saturday, 02/01/25. Located inside Westfield Santa Anita, I ordered: - 1 espresso matcha latte = $7 TOTAL WITH TAX = $7.72 Overall the drink was too strong and not as sweet as I wanted it to be. It was fairly overpriced as well.

Yelp
The shop is located inside of a mall near dintaifung. It's small but gets the job done. They offer a decent amount of options. We got the Dubai chocolate slice and it was pretty good! There's always room for dessert!

Yelp
Service and their attitude is UNBEARABLE. I walked up to the counter and the woman gave me a glare, then looks back the other way so I just asked for a peach crepe cake as I've always done. She actually raises her brows and looks so upset and mumbles something behind her mask then proceeds to get PICKY with which slice to get, squishing all of them on the sides and changing around which one to pick up before putting one in a box aggressively. Likely she was purposely picking a better/worse one based off the customer meaning (1) judgement of customer appearance and (2) inconsistent quality between each slice of cake. When the receipt came out, she straight up tossed it on top of my box and walked away?? Never actually spoke a word to me besides her initial displeased mumbling. Literally you're getting PAID at not even a local place--but a chain confectionery that has a tip pop up of 20%+ to provide service. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO DO IT THEN QUIT YOUR JOB AND GO HOME. Bunch of other people can easily take her job especially in this economy and do it better. Even the other guy working there gave her a concerned/embarrassed stare after she stomped away and I was awkward for myself dealing with that. Service here does NOT match the class of their target audience at all as a luxury confectionery. You can be having a rough day and not act at THIS level of displeased, especially towards a customer. Anyway I opened the box and the side of the cake is slammed on the edge with some cream wiped off--and mind you one slice came out to $12.50 and it looks smaller than it used to. Irvine Lady M is light years orders of magnitude better than this. Customer service here will actually ruin your appetite if the cake itself is even good, and mine was barely mediocre at best from taste alone. Should've saved my $12.50 so I didn't need to be glared at by some woman who literally looks like Sister Hong. I didn't even bother figuring her name.

Yelp
Got Lady M yuzu matcha!! This is 9 inches $115. On the pricier end but sooo good. I will say that I think their crepe isn't as soft and layered as I remembered, but flavor is still tasty.

Yelp
I've been a long time Lady M Cake fan and I've followed them from place to place. I was happy to learn that they have a location at the Santa Anita mall. Their location here is definitely pretty and fancy, reminds me of their classic stores. The staff were nice and allowed us ample time to look around. I appreciated that I could take videos and pictures inside and they didn't make a fuss about it. They weren't overly friendly but they were nice and attentive when it came time to pickup the slice I wanted. This shop had 8+ cakes out which is pretty good selection wise. My favorite flavor here hands down is the passion fruit but sadly they didn't have it when I came. My second favorite is their matcha but I figured I should try something new. I went with the strawberry flavor and to me it was meh. Nothing special. Next time I'll stick with my top two choices or at least maybe try the checkered one as that looked good. 4 stars at the end of the day as I'm not a huge sweets person and the cake slice is $10+. It's a bit steep for me for what it is. I think when these cakes first came out they were all the rage so it was easy to spend the $10. Not that I've had them a handful of times they've lost the wow factor and it's hard to justify the price. I do appreciate how light the cake is and that it's not too sugary. Definitely a good cake option but not something I'd rush back to get again.
google avatar

Grace Y.

Yelp
Cake was great, service was meh. There is no place to eat the cake besides the tables and seats outside the shop toward the middle of the mall on the same floor but they do give a nice box for each slice you buy and carrying bags are .10 additional. My mom was thrilled that they had chestnut & cream layer cake so that was a bonus. She had been looking for chestnut and cream cake since she had it in Japan 2 years ago
google avatar

Yelp
I'm sad that Lady M have closed a few of their locations so I try to support them as best as I can if I'm in the area. My friend and I happened to be at the Arcadia mall and came here for our Mille crepe fix! I have tried their matcha flavor before and wanted to switch it up so I got their lavender matcha flavor. It was very pretty and just luxurious! There's a little enclave section for Lady M customers with velvet ropes, which is kinda funny but has that VIP vibe haha. Come here and support their business! You won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Yelp
Extremely disappointing service -- completely unacceptable attitude. I came into the store to order two slices. I noticed some visible cracks on the cakes and simply asked if they were fresh. Samantha responded curtly, "They're all like that." No explanation, no courtesy -- just pure attitude. I've been here many times before, and I can clearly tell the slices are smaller now. Then I asked for a bag (10 cents) and said I didn't have cash. She flatly replied, "Cash only, or I can't give you the bag." Seriously? Am I at Lady M or some cheap corner shop? I'm paying premium prices -- the least I expect is basic respect and professionalism. This experience was completely ridiculous and disappointing.

Yelp
I saw that they had a new strawberry matcha crepe cake that i haven't tried before so i was super excited. i loved how it had both a strong strawberry and matcha taste, love the combination of those two flavors! the cake was very creamy and not too sweet but it was definitely a bit on the pricier side for a slice of cake.

Yelp
I ordered the new Dubai cake online. If you order online and try to get a hold of someone, don't expect anyone to answer and if they do it will get disconnected but the cake was amazing!

Yelp
What's not to like about desserts at Lady M cakes!!?!! Always fresh, always DELISH!!!! After a long craving, we went to Lady M and ordered a variety of slices to enjoy at home!!! The lady at the counter was patient and friendly - and packaged everything perfectly. This store is bright, clean and convenient. Too bad there's no seating area - would be nice to be able to sit for a few minutes to enjoy the dessert here with a cup of coffee, instead of having to bring them to go each time. :/

Yelp
Lady M is known for its exquisite cakes. They are particularly famous for their signature creation called Mille Crêpes, a cake made up of many thin layers of crepes with luscious pastry cream in between. ::Dessert:: My favorite is the Checkers Cake. It features layers of chocolate and vanilla sponge cake. The checkerboard pattern created by these contrasting layers is not only eye-catching but also adds a playful twist to the classic chocolate and vanilla combination. Each chocolate layers are smooth and rich, while the vanilla layers provide a light contrast. Lady M's cake slices come with a notable price tag. Purchasing a single slice is expensive and their whole cake is even a greater cost. ::M's Notes:: - Located inside the Santa Anita Mall in Arcadia - Garage and lot parking

Yelp
First time here they are located by Nordstrom's inside the mall the pieces are a little bit pricey but it taste super good. I have tried pieces of the most popular cakes and they are all so good. A piece will cost you from nine dollars to 1150 but it's worth it. However, because it's far from where I live I am not sure if I will ever come back, but if I am in the area, this will be my place to go for a desserts. The girl that helped me was very kind and helpful. The place is super clean and modern.

Yelp
My family ordered the original crepe cake to go to celebrate my cousin's birthday. It came in a nice box with 3 candles and high-quality plastic utensils, which I appreciated. The cake itself is okay. It is very pricey for a cake and I felt like there was a lot of cream, which I'm not a personal fan of. There's wasn't much flavor too, maybe because it was the original flavor, but I just didn't think it was worth the price. I've tried their other matcha flavored crepe cake before too which was better in flavor, but still I didn't think it was worth the price. This place is located inside the Santa Anita mall, so it's a convenient place to pick up cake if you are already shopping but I wouldn't go out of my way just to order from here.

Yelp
This is my 2nd Lady M review (this instance in a diff location). No surprise but the hallmark quality and unwavering consistency prevails. This boutique is located in the mall, exuding a cozy and immaculate charm, with no sit down space, as it is purely for takeaway. We ordered two cakes off their website and they were ready for pickup within an hour. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating - we inadvertently duplicated our order and they were happy to re-do the entire transaction. Plus Not content with mere amends, they generously provided premium candles, plates, forks, etc. at no extra charge. This experience reinforces my belief that when you gift a Lady M cake to a friend or family member, it's practically a guarantee that they'll deeply appreciate it and hold you in high regard. Lady M lives up to every bit of its hype, and let me tell you, it truly is THAT GOOD. This time we got the Signature & the Pistachio. Both of which are nothing short of extraordinary, but Pistachio has emerged as my newfound favorite: - Pistachio (5/5): this might be a seasonal offering but I hope it becomes part of their regular menu. The texture of this Mille Crepe is, as always, impeccable, but it provides a subtle yet delightful hint of pistachio with each bite. It reminds me of the subtle pistachio flavor found in Häagen-Dazs' pistachio ice cream - delicate and not the least bit overpowering, and most importantly there's no intrusive vanilla taste, which tends to drown out the subtlety of the pistachio. I cant recommend this one enough - Signature (4/5): In terms of texture, it's on par with all their Mille Crepes. However, the signature flavor leans more towards a crème brûlée flavor. While it's not offensive by any means, I personally find it slightly generic for my taste, especially considering the price. I would have preferred something a tad more distinctive In my book, Lady M undoubtedly earns a gold star, and I'll most certainly be returning to taste test more of their delectable cakes!

Yelp
No ambiance to rate. No tables. We had to walk around the mall and find a seat somewhere in the walkway to eat the beautiful cake. 2 stars for packaging. Just average but not thoughtful. Boxes are nice but impractical for the shape of the cake. If you only buy one piece, the cake will tip over inside the box. So we bought 2 pieces just to try different flavors. 1 star for cake. While the cakes look beautiful, don't be fooled. I got sick after eating the cake. Stomach ache. 2 stars for the drink that they messed up on. Zero stars for service. No one greeted customers. It was hard to figure out where to go to order. The cake displays face the entrance to the store, but no one was there to greet any customers. Staff were busy working on something in the back. We had to keep walking along the amusement park-like zigzag lane line to the back of the store to pace our order. I was the only customer in the store. After I arrived, 2 other customers arrived. It seems silly to mark zigzag lane lines for a store that had so few customers. The menu was hard to find or quite non-existent. The cashier was completely blocked by a wall so that we could not see the counter to place our orders. Odd store layout. It's not inviting at all. No prices are posted for cake. Every piece is a different price. Makes the business look like a dishonest business. Cashier can type any number into the tablet to charge the customer. We ordered an espresso matcha latte. I think the espresso was missing in my drink. Only matcha showed up. The Black Forest cake was sitting out there too long. It tasted so bad. The Crepe cake's layers looked good, but there was so much cream that it made me sick. I agree with the other reviewers about how they check out the customer. I noticed that they treated some customers with a less friendly tone. I was at the Arcadia mall running errands. It makes no sense to buy a whole cake. So the cashier rolled her eyes at me when we decided to try 2 slices first and come back later to buy a whole cake when we finish shopping. If the store staff were more friendly and did not mess up my drink and did not give me the sour tasting cake (you know what it smells like when cream goes bad), we would have come back to buy the $100 whole cake. Bad service. Most likely won't come back.

Yelp
The owner should retrain the staff. The girl named Daisy has an attitude. If you don't want to work here please go home. The lounge is not open although it said the staff can open it if need. Apparently it is forever closed and Daisy doesn't bother to explain. There is no coffee because there is no beans lol. And they don't even try to offer an alternative or drink menu. You are just being LAZY honestly lol.

Yelp
Lady M is located inside the Arcadia mall near the Din Tai Fung. They have quite a few options in flavors. Displayed are whole cakes but you can buy by slice. I tried the matcha and it was very good. Layers of cake and cream and you can really taste the matcha. Only thing I was a bit surprised about was the price...$10 for one slice of cake. It's delicious but on my budget not something I can have often. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Yelp
I've had Lady M numerous times between this location and their Irvine location and am also crazy enough to buy their cake slices every once in a blue moon. This place is a luxury chain from New York that specializes in mille crepes cakes - very thin layer crepes with rich cream in between each layer. Making these cakes is actually a bit time consuming and requires some skill, especially to get the layers so thin. I've definitely have had plenty of "mille" crepes where they get the thinness wrong or have a blah cream, so I really appreciate Lady M for being pretty consistent - or at least as I have experienced them to be. On my last visit - I had a sesame ti kuan yin mille crepe which I unfortunately cannot recommend as the flavor was too light and subtle to be worth it. The tiramisu flavor however was well worth it with an actually thin soaked lady finger layer and rich mascarpone cream. Other flavors I've tried that have been great include the original, matcha, passion fruit and pistachio. Another miss - is the tres leches flavor which was too creamy and rich for me to reach for again and the strawberry shortcake which while good - is also not something I'd reach for again. They also have seasonal flavors as well so it's nice to come and see what they have to offer. If you love mille crepes with seasonal flavors and aren't opposed to paying luxury prices - do give Lady M a try!

Yelp
Lady M was once at the pinnacle of the cake industry, but how they have fallen. There are so many other crêpe cake options available that really make Lady M pale in comparison. Their cakes are generally more expensive than their competitors and significantly less decorated. If I'm getting a $100 cake, I expect a little more garnishing than simply Matcha powder. At least throw some mint leaves on or something! Service is also lackluster. The cashier who rang me up was very aloof and unhelpful. also, the packaging was so basic! They put their cakes in paper boxes that look like it came straight out of the cardboard factory. For example, Yu cake has the same products at a cheaper price point, and has significantly better packaging.

Yelp
My first experience with Lady M was last month when my SIL was visiting and stayed in Santa Monica. She went to the one on the west side and got me a slice of chocolate cake. Had never heard of them before. The cake was good and came in a fancy bag. It was very light and mousse like. Reminiscent of Phoenix Bakery or other Asian bakeries. Fast forward to yesterday when my bf and I were waiting to be notified of seating at CPK at the Arcadia mall so we walked around and stumbled upon Lady M. Decided to get the strawberry shortcake. It was $10 for a slice so pricey, we thought. It was good however and again reminded me of Asian baked goods.

Yelp
Lady M Cake Boutique is located inside the mall on the second floor near Nordstroms and also Din Tai Fung. I have pre-ordered a few things from here and also had their delicious seasonal cakes. The work and time that goes into making this are insane if you ever wanted to try to make it yourself. I rather just purchase a slice or two and I will be satisfied with that. I love their pistachio seasonal one! Just overall the flavor and not too strong but not too light! It's just perfect. Also, the service from here is top notch the staff is super nice and they will let you know how long it takes for a specialty cake for things like birthdays or just celebrations.

Yelp
I'm time stamping this in hopes that the owner sees what kind of staff they're hiring! Today is July 2 at 2:28pm. Thought I'd purchase two slices of Lady M the famous crepe cakes. They're not cheap 11.50 a slice. Thinking because it's a high end cake eatery, you would think the staff would be a bit friendly and proactive on welcoming their customers. As I stood there waiting for the worker to acknowledge me, to see if I needed any assistance, they just ignored as if I'm not there. As I'm standing there on the other side looking at the cakes, they both continued to ignored as if there's anyone standing there. I finally had to ask I would like to purchase some slices of cake. One of the staff member finally assisted in getting what I needed then puts my purchases item on the counter after I paid saying nothing to me, then walks back to what she was doing. As I walked out of there, I say to myself, cake places are a dime a dozen. Why do I need to be treated like shit while purchasing at this nice posh cake store?!!! If I was the owner, I would educate your employees to be more pleasant and attentive to their customers, after all, without incoming revenue YOU the store merchant wouldn't exist.

Yelp
I love lady M cakes! Literally the most decadent, but not too sweet cakes out there. This is a great place to buy cakes for any occasion. The last time I got a cake from Lady M it was a chocolate cake and it was soooo good. The chocolate was creamy, but not too sweet and had hints of bitterness which I love. Ordering from this place is also a breeze you can put online orders and you can pick up at your desired time.

Yelp
Visited this location at the Santa Anita Mall and it's a small shop with no indoor seating. Seasonal flavors are available with choices of slices and whole cakes. Although their display shows whole cakes only, you can ask to purchase slices. We tried the passion fruit and pistachio slices. I liked how tart and refreshing the passion fruit slice was. It's topped with a passion fruit glaze and edible passion fruit seeds. The pistachio slice was also good and subtle. I've had it before and it tastes good too. I love that these slices aren't too sweet. I'd say these are a bit on the pricier side at $10.50 a slice, but they're treats to indulge in once in a while, so why not treat yourself haha. Service was quick and efficient. There was outdoor seating but it was closed so we had to find seating elsewhere.

Yelp
The anger will keep you full, this $10 sliced cake won't. The price would only make sense if you can sell the box it comes in for $5.

Yelp
I had a disappointing experience with one of the staff members here. I asked for one slice and a cup of hot water, and she told me that I had to pay for the hot water -- in a very unfriendly tone. It wasn't about the money, but her attitude was rude and unprofessional. Also, there was absolutely no menu displayed in the store, which made ordering even more confusing. Definitely not the kind of service I expected.

Yelp
I love their crepe cakes. It's not too sweet and the texture is amazing. I like how they have a lot of different flavors as well as seasonal ones. I tried their signature, green tea, Earl grey, pistachio, tiramisu, and chocolate. I would say the green tea and tiramisu are my two favorites but you honestly can't go wrong with any of their crepe cakes. I also tried their chocolate arc-en-ciel cake and it was good as well. If you're a chocolate lover like me, you would definitely enjoy this one. I like how you can order your cake online for same day or future day pick up. It makes it super convenient so you're in and out within minutes. Also, every time I am here, the workers are friendly and helpful. Please note that if you come in an hour before they close, especially on Friday and the weekends, you might not be able to get a slice of the flavor of cake you want because they will likely be sold out for the day.

Yelp
My family loves lady m cakes and it's a must have for us for special occasions. It was mom's birthday so we ordered the pistachio mille cake recently. Their cakes are light and airy and so aesthetic. If you've never tried it, you need to order a slice. The price is steep for a cake but again we only get it for special events.

Yelp
I don't usually leave reviews unless the experience is life changing amazing or just plain horrible. Unfortunately this review is for the latter. I stopped by today 4/3/2025 Thursday around 11:30 am to pick up a Mille Crepe Cake for a birthday. I've had these cakes before and they are absolutely amazing so no complaints about the cake. My complaint is about the service from a rude lady who was helping me. I understand that we are all humans and we go through horrible things at times but what's not okay is to project any sense of anger toward someone else who doesn't have anything to do with what you're going through. I don't know what happened with the employee helping me but she seemed really annoyed with me asking for a cake. Her tone was off putting and she was slamming things down and slamming cabinet doors shut like I was interrupting her from something, albeit the store was empty and I was the only customer. I almost turned around and canceled my order but reminded myself that the cake wasn't for me. The way she slammed the pen down to have me sign my receipt, and asking me if I needed plates were all met with an annoyed undertone! I understand she may be having a rough morning but that's not an excuse to ruin someone else's day/experience. Whoever this employee is I hope she finds peace in herself and remembers that customers have feelings too! It seems like I'm not the only one who has issue with their employee's attitude. I'd avoid this location if you care about customer service!

Yelp
Like several others have mentioned, the quality of the cake is not like before. I understand with price hikes, everything is becoming more expensive. But what's disappointing is paying more money and the quality doesn't match. The layers of the cake is less, the cake was taller before and now there is so much cream. The cream to crepe ratio is ridiculous and their cakes are sweeter than before. I'm not sure if this is just happening in the arcadia location... not sure if irvine location also skimped out on quality. But I'm less inclined to keep supporting and purchasing cakes from lady m in the future if the quality of their cakes keep going downhill.

Yelp
Love the cakes here so much!! Also love how clean and pristine their stores always are. The employees who helped us out today were very nice and happy. Always appreciate positivity anywhere customer is involved. Got myself a slice of their limited flavors early grey, as well a pistachio and all-time fave original flavor.

Yelp
At $12 a slice and $70 a cake, Lady M Cakes are definitely expensive. However, I have many people in my life that LOVE their cakes! It is about 2-3x more expensive than a normal cake, but it does take a long time to make and it does taste really good. If you need help justifying the price, just think of it as a dessert you'd get at a restaurant. Also, the higher price point makes it more of a luxury "special occasion" gift. Personally, I think the cakes don't taste that good right out the store. At room temperature, each layer does not separate as well. My tip is to take it home, refrigerate it and get it cold, then it tastes AMAZING as a cold, tasty dessert! I also like how their cakes are not too sweet.
