Where to Celebrate Lunar New Year In and Around Boston

"To ring in the new year, consider the festive red bean mille crêpes from Lady M, a popular boutique bakery that shot to fame with its signature dessert of layered crêpes and cream. In addition to the cake, you can order the Lunar New Year gift set, which includes 32 crêpe biscuits tucked inside a beautiful geometric snake, plus five confetti-filled lucky red envelopes." - Erika Adams, Valerie Li Stack

Where to Order a Single Perfect Slice of Cake Around Boston

"This international chain is known for its crepe cakes, each featuring at least 20 crepes with layers of pastry cream in between, available in flavors like passionfruit, green tea, and salted caramel. Google
A Takeaway counter only! . If you’re buying a cake, which is ridiculously expensive, at least you should have a place to sit and enjoy the cake which does not exist in the shop. Currently a slice cost $16.05( including tax ) This is a multilayer crêpe cake. The cream of the cake is light. We got the Dubai chocolate version. They have a display of all the current variants of miles cake. . The packaging of the cake is great, probably the best and the only thing.

Google
Lady M Boston is hands down my go-to for the best cake in the city. I’ve visited multiple times, and the quality is always incredible. Especially their Mille Crêpes cakes, which are light, flavorful, and totally addictive. When I can’t make it in person, I’ll order on DoorDash to satisfy the craving. Whether it’s a special occasion or just a sweet treat, Lady M never disappoints :)

Google
The crepes of this cake restaurant from NY did impress me a lot, and the Signature Mille Crepe, Green Tea Mille Crepe, and Strawberry Mille Crepe I ordered would definitely make me become a loyal customer. #AmazingCrepesFromNY

Google
Lady M Cake Boutique is a famous cake maker with many locations across the Northeast, with this location being located right on Newbury Street. The staff are quite friendly and accommodating, telling us which slices were available as letting us know about the non-cake options they had to eat. We got the Matcha bonbon crunches and a slice of the Dubai Chocolate Cake. The Matcha Crunch was pretty good, decent portion for the price, and had a nice flavor, though light on the matcha. The dubai chocolate cake was good, though small for the price, with the characteristic tastes of Dubai Chocolate fillings and the light and fluffy texture of the cake. It is a well made cake with a nice flavor.

Google
Newbury St location is a takeout only, we bought a cake for my daughter’s bd here and we were surprised how smooth it was, we ordered the Crepe Mille style. I’ve never had this kind of cake, wow the layers melt in your mouth … we bought the strawberry matcha and the crepes are made to perfection as they’re soft, moist and chewy and packed with a beautiful bag as well as a plastic knife. Amazing cake and experience… I definitely buy it again!!!!! I gave them 4 stars because of the customer service, they didn’t have a friendly attitude.

Google
Such a cute place!! I was walking by and the place caught my eye. The cake and treats looked exquisite. I was a little hesitant after seeing the price but am so glad I ended up getting it!! The employee recommended the pistachio cake and my goodness… what a treat. It was excellent!! I would highly recommend it, especially for special occasions. The cake had great flavor and texture.

Google
Awesome place in the Newbury area. Their cakes are so full of flavors yet so light. The place is always busy but service is very fast - you won’t have to wait for more than 5 minutes. Had the pistachio, tiramisu and the checkers - the first 2 were especially good.

Google
Available on UberEats and very carefully packaged. 3rd time in 2 weeks our team chose Lady M for birthday celebration. Birthday cake toppers available. All 8 types of Mille crepes are great. Strawberry , tiramisu, signature, guava, lemon, matcha, passion fruit, matcha with chocolate
google avatar

Lizzie Y.

Yelp
Lady M Cakes are so good, extremely overpriced but so yummy. We used to get Lady M cakes (whole) for every birthday for years until they raised their prices even more lol. My favorite was always the matcha one! Not sure if they ever had a durian flavored one, but I was able to make a durian crepe cake at home & tasted just as good as store bought. Parking can be a bit tricky since they're located on Newbury St but not impossible.

Yelp
Should ask you whether you want a bag. Not just give you one and charge you for it. It is not right and no wonder they have such a low review for their poor customer service.

Yelp
Ok seriously had a moment of weakness for these over priced slices of crepe cream cakes. Green tea crepe cake was too good and Chocolate mousse crepe cake was dreamy. $12.50 a piece! You know I would never buy a cake this expensive but it was bougie good and once in a long while it's ok... trying to feel less guilty at the moment.
google avatar

Rebeka S.

Yelp
My favorite crepe cake place! The crepes here are made to perfection as they're soft, chewy, light, moist, not too sweet, and packed with flavor. The service is also fast and ambiance is mellow and relaxing. I say fast because there is nowhere to dine in so you're basically in and out within 5 minutes. My only complaint is that it's so expensive for what it is. Can't believe a slice of this heavenly cake is $12.50! Definitely only worth splurging on special occasions once in awhile.

Yelp
TLDR: Cake is a 5/5 every time but giving this location a 4/5 because the shop itself isn't amazing. It's really small so there's no seating inside and you'll have to find another place to have your cake. FOOD: I've had almost every flavor of Lady M and my personal favorites are the CHOCOLATE, TIRAMISU, and SIGNATURE flavors but you can't really go wrong with any of the flavors here. Choose whatever looks good to you! The chocolate is light and surprisingly chocolately without being any denser than any of the other Lady M flavors, and the tiramisu flavor is so on point just using crepes instead of lady fingers. The signature flavor really spotlights the delicious cream they use and is just such a classic. SERVICE: Relatively fast service but given the small location you might need to wait in a line that extends outside of the store for a bit depending on how busy they are. TIPS: There are lots of places you could enjoy your cake. Thankfully they put the slices in a box and default charge everyone a small bag fee and give you a nice Lady M bag that you can carry to your next location. Make sure to ask for spoons. The place with the most seats guaranteed will be to go into the Prudential Center (super close by) and just find a table anywhere to sit. You'll be close to the Eataly side of the Prudential Center and there are tons of seats in Eataly as well.

Yelp
Absolutely love Lady M! I had to stop by while in Boston. Service was great and quick. My checkers slice was perfect, not too sweet and consistent just how I remember! My friend enjoyed her strawberry slice.
google avatar

Meiyi Y.

Yelp
Lady M had always been my favorite. The green tea flavor is my go-to. It's never too sweet, and the layers just melt in your mouth. I also tried the guava flavor this time and it was also delicious. The Newbury location is quite small with no seating. The cashier was very friendly. As a messy eater, I appreciated that he gave me lots of napkins with my slices!
google avatar

Elizabeth K.

Yelp
Service was nice More like a take out place Caramelized top of the crepe cake was amazing
google avatar

Doris L.

Yelp
The original store in NYC will always have a special place on my heart. This Boston outpost really just meant for takeout. Staff was friendly. My friend and I got there after lunch to grab takeout with maybe 4 people in front of us. By the time we got our cake the line up was out the door. I had the chestnut crepe cake. I always enjoyed marron / chestnuts so i'm a happy camper. Not super sweet. Matcha is always my go to any any Lady M.
google avatar

Evangeline L.

Yelp
Always a favorite to get some Lady M! The crepe cakes are delicious and beyond this world! However this Lady M doesn't have any seating and they gave us a smaller piece than other places cut them. Also, their rose cake is now a Mothers Day only special, so keep that in mind when you're searching for it!
google avatar

Yelp
Lady M is one of the best takeout/togo cake shops in Boston. The crepe cakes are super moist, delicious, and sweet but not overly. The obvious go to is the green tea flavor. I don't agree with those who think it's overpriced. Cakes in general are expensive, and when you factor in the number of layers in the crepe cake it takes a long time to make. Plus, it's a nice treat yourself once in awhile, definitely not something you get everyday! I honestly think it's worth every penny. They do seasonal / holiday specials. Like they have a mooncake set for the August moon festival! I don't have a image, but check out the packaging for it online. So beautiful!
google avatar

Donna L.

Yelp
Located on the busy Newbury St. This location is takeout only. Pretty pricey, but the crepe cakes here are delicious. We had the matcha and tiramisu. Would still get it again for a special occasion
google avatar

Anh N.

Yelp
My to-go place for birthday cake! My fave is the green tea flavor. Good customer service, you can ask them to write happy birthday on the cake for an additional $5, they also provide plenty of folks and paper plates.
google avatar

Marni M.

Yelp
My friends and I were in the area so we decided to pop in as I've had a few Lady M cakes before. It's a take-to-go set up where the slices or cake are placed in a bag to go. Forks and napkins are provided for those who need them. Flavors include the original 10 crepes with whipped cream between each varying with matcha, red bed, tiramisu, or other flavors. You can never go wrong with the original for the flakey and creamy layers with the caramelized sugar layer on top. Each slice is about $9-12 per including tax so definitely pricey with a whole cake quoting to $110 per 10". In my opinion, they are worth it if for a special occasion and small group of people. Will come again!
google avatar

Yelp
No matter which location, Lady M logo always seems to catch my eyes. This establishment has no indoor seating, like many shops along this road, it's more of a pick up your order and go type of place. But, from the many times I've purchase the cake, taste is no doubt on par with other locations such as NYC and elsewhere. Service is fairly quick and friendly. If you enjoy that fluffy layers of crape cake, this is the place to visit.
google avatar

Amy C.

Yelp
This place sells crepe style cakes. It's on one of my favorite streets in Boston! When you enter the store, there are cakes on display on the right side so you can see the flavors and price. Once you've decided what you want, you go up to the counter to order. Then they grab the slices or whole cakes out for you. I really like the texture and how fluffy these cakes are. But you gotta eat them while chilled otherwise if they are left out too long, it gets a lil soggy since these is frosting in between the crepe pieces. Also the prices for these crepe cakes are a little ridiculous lol $10 a slice. Over $100 for a 9 inch cake. But I'll still continue going here to try all the flavors and if others want to go. I won't get a whole cake but I'll certainly get a slice. I would say to still try these crepe cakes because they are different than your usual cakes! They do taste good! And it's a light dessert for those that want something a little sweet but don't wanna get a super rich tasting dessert.
google avatar

Megan W.

Yelp
Although tasty, these crepe cakes are definitely overhyped and overpriced. After years of hearing about Lady M, I finally decided to give them a try. Even walking in the store, you can immediately see the gallery/luxury vibe. A slice of crepe cake is about $8+, and they offer flavors like matcha, tiramisu, etc. Unfortunately, they were sold out of matcha for the day, so we got tiramisu, (caramel?) popcorn, and passionfruit. Yes, the cake was good, but I've had better dessert options for much cheaper. Upstanding the effort that it takes to make crepe cakes, the prices are justified, but just not worth it. As for the service, we had minimal interactions with the employees -- we felt very rushed the entire time. Someone held open the door for us and only allowed three people in at once due to social distancing guidelines. As a line was growing outside the store, we placed our order promptly and left.
google avatar

Yelp
WORTH. The cake is exceptional - melts in your mouth. Truly too bad there is no seating area - purely take out. It's expensive but you are for sure going to impress whoever you're buying cake for (or get it for yourself!). Slices or whole cakes come nicely packaged.
google avatar

My-Linh D.

Yelp
I love Lady M layered cakes especially the green tea/matcha one. I also really liked the strawberry shortcake. It's not too sweet, just the perfect sweetness. The layer cake has a nice texture.
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
Came here for cake. They are located at a busy location with only street parking, which was hard to find. Got the green tea mille crepe cake and the blueberry cheese mille crepe slices. I love the flavors of these cakes. Can't go wrong with the green tea one. The blueberry one was a bit sour but I still loved it. They are very light and not too sweet. Great for dessert, even after a heavy dinner. The cakes are very expensive and I assume it is due to the efforts of layering the individual crepes and cream in between but I also assume that they have machines now that can do it in a quick amount of time. Not sure how they do it but I love the cakes and not the price. This is definitely not your typical grocery store cakes. Hope that helps.
google avatar

Helena Q.

Yelp
I think when you're getting a crepe cake, you really want an excuse to eat cream, and Lady M satisfies there. It's nice, but so much cream... My personal preference would be for it to be a tiny bit less sweet and more flavor (I had the pistachio). At $11.50 a slice, it is a nice treat!
google avatar

Hil L.

Yelp
More of a takeout place since no indoor seating. Service great as usual. Got to try new flavors to me. Yummy. Want to try Blueberry Sugar Shortcake which they ran out of today.
google avatar

Monica L.

Yelp
Holy smokes, limiting my profanity in this review. I've never had anything like this before. For starters it was a passion fruit crepe cake, honestly just mind blown. The passion fruit had a tangy flavor and was not overly sweetened because it was just right. The cake was literally made of extremely thin layers of crepe topped with passion fruit custard! I was enjoying dissecting the cake and eating it layer by layer. This cake has quite the price tag but totally worth it.
google avatar

Hebe L.

Yelp
Lady M is my fave cake! This boutique is always fast and efficient, the people are always very friendly. The store is small, but it's clean and bright. Sometimes it's hard to find parking here.
google avatar

Alexi K.

Yelp
-- The taste never misses with a crepe cake. So far I've tried Earl Grey, Ube, Green Tea, Classic, and Chocolate - all would HIGHLY recommend. The taste is amazing and the texture is so soft. -- For cakes, I tried the strawberry shortcake - in my opinion, skip and get a crepe cake. This was just mediocre and not worth the $9 you can spend on a crepe cake slice -- It's location of Newbury St. makes it difficult to get to if you plan to drive; parking is very scarce and you'll likely circle around for a good while until finding street meters open
google avatar

Jade F.

Yelp
Not sure this Lady M doesn't have more positive reviews. I absolutely love Lady M cakes and was ecstatic when I stumbled upon this location from dining at a restaurant few doors down (RedWhite Ramen is delicious btw!). I'm personally not a fan of their non-mille crepe cakes. I've only really loved their mille crepe cakes. My favorite hands down is the Earl Grey. They just brought back Earl Grey as it's a seasonal flavor. Apparently they have it till end of the year. Highly highly recommend getting a slice of that to try (if not the whole cake). :) Other cakes that I have enjoyed are passionfruit, pistachio, signature, and matcha. Honestly, the cake is worth it. My friend was skeptical in the beginning, and then became a lover. You spend more than $10 on often a subpar dessert at restaurants. This is extremely delicious, and often better than what you would get at restaurants anyways. Known fact that it is good. Worth spending the every dollar.
google avatar

Sarah Y.

Yelp
I do agree that It's pricey But worth it in my opinion. I love getting Lady M cake once in a while - it feels like it's melting in your mouth and the best part about it is that it doesn't scream "sugar overload!" I've tried all of these flavors (some of them are seasonal) and this is my ranking from best to worst. Although the worst one isn't actually bad cake it's just comparatively to the others. - rose - green tea - red bean - checkers - classic - strawberry shortcake - red bean Tann
google avatar

Yelp
Champagne crepe is the reason that I stopped by to make a purchase since I was at Newbury st. This is only available in December.
google avatar

Briana L.

Yelp
I love giving these cakes as presents. They are cute and taste great. They're definitely on the more expensive side but it's worth it as a present. They occasionally have seasonal flavors. For the holidays, they had a champagne flavor which was really good!
google avatar

Thanh L.

Yelp
Some pricy crepe cakes but presentation is worth it. The green tea is so favorful in texture. The red bean crepe cake was delicious too. The service was decent . We were in and out within minutes. They did great making sure we used socal distance markers . These are perfect for a sweet treat

Yelp
I've heard of Lady M cake shop so many times before. I knew they were known for crepe cakes and had always wanted to try it at some point. This past week, my friend was visiting from, so we decided to stop by out of whim to try their cake (we had a large dinner before..but figured we could share a piece of to try it out since neither of us had tried it before). This particular shop did not have any seating beyond a few standing counter along a wall. It's really more of a grab and go place rather than a cafe to sit and talk...so...don't expect to sit and linger here like you'd at a typical cafe/cake shop. The line was a bit long (to just outside a shop's door when we got there..but it moved pretty fast. We got our cake within 15 min of us being in a line..so it wasn't too bad. We decided to try the original mille crepe cake since it was probably the cake that brought Lady M their fame and reputation (although there are other flavors/cake types as well). Their cakes were definitely pricey. Our one slice/piece of cake was $9 (excl tax/tips)..but was also a decent size. I thought the cake was good..I've always liked crepe cakes. The type of the cake was a lil too sweet for my taste but the cake was light and still rich enough with creme between different crepe layers. Overall, good dessert for sure..but I'm not sure if i thought it was worth the price and the ambiance we got at a cafe. Would probably not come back here on my own again given the inconvenience of lining up and slightly higher price point (the dessert was decently good though..but maybe not as much as I've heard given such high reputation I've read about previously). However, if someone I knew wanted to try their cakes, i wouldn't mind bringing/tagging them along to cross out something on their to do/to try lists again either.
google avatar

Angela M.

Yelp
I'm a complete sweet tooth but never really liked cakes until I had Lady M Cake. I also never thought I would be happy with paying $9 for a slice of cake. Oh my gosh I wanted to be a fat kid and just buy a whole cake for myself after the first bite. Lady M is the most gourmet, fancy cake I've ever had. I highly recommend the crepe cakes which has stacks of thin layers with a delicious cream in between each layer. I had the red bean crepe cake and it was one of the best things I've ever had.
google avatar

Franklin Z.

Yelp
Soo the Lady M crepe cake is huge hype and something I've heard about for a while as a foodie. There have been many Lady M pop-ups throughout the past years but I had never had the chance to try it for some reason. Today, I had the chance! Although I knew that each slice was $9-10 and a little over priced, it just looked too good to not try it at least once. After trying it, I can declare that it was very worth it!! With all the layers of crepe and cream in the mille cake, you get a super unique texture that you don't find in many other cakes or desserts. On this end, I enjoyed the experience a lot. The passion fruit flavored one was good, but the green tea one was better in that it was the perfect level of sweetness. Only reason I gave it 4 stars was because of the price. I would come again for sure, but it is definitely a once in a while treat for myself.
google avatar

Lan T.

Yelp
I am shocked this place doesn't get 5 stars!! Their crepe cake is to die for!! Not too sweet, and the cream is just soooo good!! I have talked to every single person that I know about how special this cake is!!! Back to the days, it wasn't that easy to get a slide of lady M cake in Boston. You have to order at a place in Chinatown and then get the whole cake!! I was so happy when then opened the boutique!! This place just makes me more excited every time I drop by Newbury st!!
google avatar

Elaine C.

Yelp
Lady M cake is a little pricey but definitely worth it. I got a green tea Mille crepes- 6 inches to celebrate my moms birthday and it was the perfect size for my family and I. This green tea cake was super elegant and eye catching-- great for a celebration! This states that it serves 4-6 people but it served 8 of us with 2 pieces leftover. This goes perfectly with vanilla ice cream, you should definitely try it! :) This green tea Mille crepes-- 6 inches is priced at $55 but with personalized inscriptions was an addition $5. The pick up process was a breeze. We walked in, ordered, and picked up within 20 minutes. The place was clean and employees were friendly! I highly recommend checking this place out as the cakes weren't too sweet like many others even though it had green tea pastry cream. It was soft and delicious!
google avatar

Melissa Y.

Yelp
Such decadent treats. We've tried the green tea, strawberry, signature, and tiramisu, with signature being the favorite by far. That sweet caramelizad top is . Tiramisu was good too, though I didn't think it tasted much like tiramisu- more cocoa powder, less coffee/mascarpone notes. Green tea was overpoweringly matcha, which I liked but not as much as the signature. Strawberry was signature + some strawberry slices. Super delicious and can't wait to come back and try more!
google avatar

Spencer Q.

Yelp
Would I come back: If I was really craving a sweet treat I would. Dessert: Checkers Cake - 3/5 - It's a simple cake and very light. Not a bad way to end a meal. Definitely consistent with the branches in NY. Service: 3/5 - Standard service. Ambiance: 3.5/5 - A clean and modern location like the rest of them.
google avatar

Ashley Y.

Yelp
Ahh.. I've been wanting to try the cake from Lady M badly. I heard there was always a long line waiting when it just started. I finally came to a place that I can buy Lady M, I had to have a bite. I had originally and green tea one. For some reason, it wasn't impressive to me. The part I didn't like, was the topping part of layer would came apart while you eating it. I tho it should be integral. Overall, it's overrated. A piece for 8 dollar or more, I had my experience and it will be it.
google avatar

Mehrul Singh R.

Yelp
A very late review - This place was suggested by a friend, it's worth a try if your a fan of any dessert!! So glad I tried it out, there were so many good options, I decided to get a slice of Earl Grey crepe cake. The slice was so delicious, the flavour on point and fresh! When I went they had protocols for how many can enter, so there aren't many in the store at the same time. They usually have long crowds to get their order, I would definitely come back to try other slices. The staff was also really kind and welcoming.
google avatar

Francis I.

Yelp
I like the cake. It is about $10.16 for a slice. I would like to have a place to sit down and have a cup of tea with the cake. That will make a delightful experience.
google avatar

Julie W.

Yelp
Ordered a slice of Jasmine calamansi blah blah for $12.63. It was a delicious crepe cake with multiple flavors of cream, lemon, and jasmine, but it was too small. It was the size of a small slice of cheese or a mini kid bottle of water. Subtracted two stars for size and price. Also, for people who want to go, there is no dine in!
google avatar

Yaran S.

Yelp
It's a grab&go place, not for hangout like the one in NYC. Only a cashier was present with an indifferent attitude. I got a new flavor, chocolate mille cake. It was clearly just out of fridge. The cream was cold, hard and dry. I prefer not paying $10 for such a thing and such service.
google avatar

Brandon G.

Yelp
Eating this was a treat! The layers of crepes are so light and fluffy and thin, and it's just the perfect amount of cream and sugar. It's not too sweet at all. I had both the matcha and the signature. - The matcha Mille crepes have a wonderful amount of matcha, and the flavor really comes through without being overpowering. - The signature is quite flavorful too! I think it may be vanilla flavor that's coming through. - For both variations, the many layers make for a wonderful texture experience in your mouth. The only con, as others have noted, is the price: $9 per slice of cake. But oh my, it's arguably worth it. I wonder what the process looks like to make one of these babies: There are 20 layers of crepes! It must take a bit of time, and so, the cost is probably coming from the effort that pastry chefs put in.
google avatar

Rich T.

Yelp
Great cakes. Terrible service with an attitude. Never fails. 10 out of 10 times is always like this. You would think if they're charging $100 you would be greeted with friendly service. What really bothered me was when Grace the cashier started talking to me about COVID and says that she did not believe some facts of covid... I never asked her for her opinion. For someone who takes COVID seriously and took a negative COVID exam day of going into the store to buy a cake, I really don't appreciate the extra input and un-welcomed conversation. If you are not going to provide good customer service and hire very stale attitude employees at least make it quick and painless. If you don't have anything good to say keep it to yourself. If it wasn't for my sister's birthday I wouldn't have drove around for 45 minutes looking for parking to receive this terrible service.

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of lady M cakes in general and love that they have a fluffy, whipped cream consistency and aren't overly sweet but still satisfy that sweet tooth craving. The other Lady M places I have been to, each bite of cake was so satisfying, almost like you were biting into a cloud. Which is why I think it is worth the hefty $9-10 price tag per slice. However, the cake slice I got here was completely frozen! You could taste the ice chunks in each bite which was disappointing. The flavor was however very good - it tasted like creme brûlée with that caramelized top layer - it would have been so perfect if the cake wasn't frozen :( I came here on a Sunday afternoon, around 4pm and almost all of their cakes were sold out aside from their Signature Mille Crêpe, so I opted for a slice of that. There wasn't a huge line when I was here, just a few people mulling around outside looking at the menu. During covid, they only allow a two parties inside the actual basement at a time, so I can see this place having a huge wait (especially when there's a lot of indecisive people :P). There aren't any seats (primarily a grab and go place) but the shop is located on Newbury St so you can take this to go and enjoy while you shop or enjoy at the Boston Public Garden which is only a few minutes away. Was super bummed that they didn't sell any drinks / lattes here to go though! Tips: come early, they will have way more choices like their infamous green tea crepe (perhaps it might be more fresh then too...but I don't know for sure). Overall, glad that they have a Lady M in Boston, but really hope that don't freeze their cakes because it really takes away from the integrity of the cake and I can't justify paying this much for a frozen cake.

Yelp
Pros: -Super service once at the counter Cons: -Lines! -Pricey (~$9/slice) -No seating, but a "bar" area you can stand at. -- The place was packed around 4:00pm on a Saturday. Coffee Mousse Cake was moist but the best part was the coffee ganache icing. Was not overly coffee-y. Red Bean Mille Crepes Had a different texture than the signature mille crepes--thicker and less creamy. Gateau Aux Marrons Almond cake was moist, whipped cream filling was fine, but I did not enjoy the very sweet chestnut-infused icing. Signature Mille Crepes Eggy, a bit chewy, mainly tasted like cream/pudding.

Yelp
Our family loves Lady M! They're well known for the green tea. But I have grown to love their passion fruit cake more, which was sold out so we opted for their purple yam. The cake is on the expensive side, and they charge $5 to write something on a piece of chocolate.

Yelp
I came here today while I was walking along Newbury. It was empty inside so I got through in no time. I got the Green Tea Mille Crepes. It was sooo good! I shared it with my husband when I got home. I almost didn't want to leave him any. It's very light and airy. Very Very quick to eat through. This is definitely a treat yourself kind of desert. It's very pricey for a slice of cake but it's understandable the labour and time it takes to make it.. $9 per slice. Inside is really small with a bar top to eat on. So no indoor or outdoor seating so I walked to the Public Garden to have it since it was such a nice day out.

Yelp
My boyfriend ordered the passion fruit mille crepes cake and said the staff over the phone was really nice. Pick up was easy, they do limit the number of customers into the shop due to covid and social distancing. There is a worker who will occasionally ask the line outside if anyone waiting to pick up their order and then they will bring your cake out to you. The cake itself was delicious. I highly recommend the passion fruit if you're looking for a more fruity flavor. I'm giving this place a 4 star because it is on the pricey side.
