I ordered 2 slices of cake through Lady M’s official website. When I picked it up, the box was sealed, so I didn’t check it until I got back to San Francisco — only to find out they gave me the wrong flavor. I had ordered the Dubai Chocolate but was given Sesame instead. I immediately submitted a refund request, but after an entire week, no one followed up. I reached out through online chat, and instead of helping, the representative told me I needed to contact a third-party platform. I had to point out that I placed the order *directly* on their website — only then did they change their story and say I should call customer service. I called and was then told I needed to email them instead. I emailed right away. It’s now been another week, and still no response. This has been a very frustrating and disappointing experience. For a brand that positions itself as premium, their customer service is shockingly disorganized and unresponsive. I expected much better, and I would caution others against using their website [Update] After posting my review, Lady M’s team reached out and followed up on the issue. I appreciate that they took the initiative to make things right, and their gesture was thoughtful. While the original experience was disappointing, I’m glad they took the time to respond and resolve it.

I really liked the matcha cake! The layers of crepes were super delicate and the matcha flavor was just right—not too sweet. The tiramisu cake was a delicious take on the classic. Both cakes were a win, and I definitely recommend trying them out!

Google
Lady M is delicious with lovely atmosphere, but it’s a bit pricey. One small suggestion: for dine-in customers, it would be lovely if lattes or teas were served in ceramic mugs instead of paper to-go cups.

Google
Lady M is a unique joint with loads of seating in a nicely situated location! The crepe cakes are very unique and tasty. I got the Chocolate and Tiramisu Crepe Cakes and they were so good. It was interesting too taste so many different layers in one slice of the cake. The taste wasn’t compromised by the texture though as the cakes still were very creamy and tasted amazing as there was creamy in every layer. Unfortunately the price is just wild. For 2 slices of crepe cakes it was $24 and while I understand that making the crepe cakes is very labor intensive this is just too exorbitant and because of this I will probably not come again. However, I recommend trying the crepe cakes at least once for the creativity and taste!

Google
Loved the flavor of matcha & tiramisu mille crepe.. it was not extreme sweetness, and the creme was just perfect! eventually not so much choices as it was almost end of the day when arrived. Almost all are sold out! It's closed down @6pm. Parking onsite and indoor seating. Great ambience, quality and value of money you can see here!

Google
First things first, they don't allow pets inside their store, so please don't bring your pets. They will ask you to leave. I tried a slice of each of their flavored crepes- 1. Matcha crepes 2. Tiramisu crepes 3. Chocolate crepes 4. Strawberry crepes 5. Signature mille (vanilla) crepes 6. Passion fruit mille crepes 7. Jasmine calamansi mille crepes 8. Mango shortcake Their crepes are very rich and flavorful. Some were sweeter than the others. The sweeter ones can be hard to finish by yourself. Go for fruity flavors if you like less sweet stuff. Overall, great crepes.

Google
Lady M crepe cakes are delicious and unique. The flavors are never too deep, they are varied, but and almost without fail are delicious. If you can't make up your mind, go for the green tea! A close runner up is the Truffle Mille. They might seem a bit expensive, 9 inches for $95, but surely the effort that goes into making the cake needs to be honored. Service at Lady M can be patchy.

Google
We picked up the 9 inch Tiramisu crepe layered cake for a birthday it was lightly sweet and delicious. The multiple layers were impeccable making each bite perfect!

Yelp
Not a lot of traffic on Sunday right after they opened. They are still short staffed but both staff were friendly and courteous. I walked in and got in the line quickly. Another woman was lingering in the store and later joined me in the line but went ahead of me. The staff kindly asked her to join the line because I was in the line first even though she was just trying to pick up an online order. I was interested to try the new flavors of Illy coffee and Matcha, and Pistachio. They were both ok, not overly sweet and both were moist in the layers with enough cream. But the flavors were a hint milder than I hoped. The store was kept clean and neat and bright as usual.

Yelp
Thank goodness it's open again! They were closed for a while and I've been waiting a long time for them to be back! Yay! Been obsessed with these delicate, melt-in-your-mouth crepe cake! Thin layered crepes will the softest, lightest cream, oh man, each bite is to be savored! Got the large pistachio cake recently and it didn't take too to polish it off! In the past, I've enjoyed their signature Mille feuille cake, and obsessively devoured their seasonal favors such as rose as well as earl grey. They are right next door to Chef Chu's, with plenty of parking. The ambience is pleasing, clean and has plenty to tables if you can't wait until you get home to enjoy a slice or two!

Yelp
This Lady M location is such a hidden gem. The cafe has plush, comfy seating and was completely empty when I visited probably because Los Altos isn't a big hangout spot, which makes it even better if you want a quiet place to relax. Parking was plentiful and super easy, right next to the café. I ordered an iced Americano, the original crepe cake, and the coconut crepe cake. The coffee was really good, and the cakes were amazing as always - consistent and delicious. What I especially love about this location is that they had all the flavors available. At their Valley Fair spot, so many cakes are usually sold out, but here everything was fully stocked. Definitely a great spot for a sweet treat, and I'd happily keep coming back here.

Yelp
Was staying in the Stanford area and decided to door dash from Lady M Cake Boutique. I got the Noisettes au Chocolat & Tiramisu Mille Crepes. Both were very good and satisfying. It reminded me of cheesecake, but lighter. They were moist and fresh, even for ordering in the evening. They were smaller than I expected, but hit the spot.

Yelp
I always love have lady m cake for special occasions! It's really easy to preorder online, though the popular ones do sell out. I love how they are always updating the flavors and offer them as slices as well. They usually show me the whole cake when they give it to me too so I can make sure it looks good. Very thorough! They also supplied a decent amount of forks, plates, and napkins which was convenient. Lady M is always a classic light and not-too-sweet cake!

Yelp
Got a few slices of mille crepe cakes. Always delicious. Loved the service: quick and accurate. Ambiance was very nice: a nice seating area with lots of tables and chairs. Will come again.
google avatar

Ivy C.

Yelp
The store is super nice, bright, and clean with a handful of tables available for dine-in. Each cake slice is $11.50-$12.50. They have seasonal flavors that rotate in and out of the menu throughout the year. Most people were only there for pick-up orders. We tried the earl grey flavor and lavender matcha flavor. Both were delicious. Staffs are very friendly. Coffee was just okay, nothing stands out. It's a nice place to sit, chill and enjoy the cakes. I wish they serve in actual plates and mugs instead of paper ones.

Yelp
Lady M is one of those places that feels like a treat the moment you step inside. The space is bright, almost like it's designed to showcase the cakes.

Yelp
IMHO Well, this was my very first time actually trying a Lady M Mille crepe! I've seen the cakes before at their Valley Fair location, but I couldn't bring myself to pay that much for a slice of cake. After enjoying lunch next door at Chef Chu's, my friend wanted a Lady M dessert. I was happy to oblige and treat her! The boutique is so bright, white, and welcoming! They have white tables with blue velvet cushioned chairs if one chooses to dine there. At the time, they had about 8 cakes of different flavors ready to purchase and take to-go. About the same with the individual slices. From reading other reviews, the Pistachio crepe is a favorite. That's probably why there was only one slice left to purchase. My friend and I chose the Amedei chocolate Mille crepe, for $12.50 per slice. This particular slice has twenty handmade cocoa crepes layered with pastry cream featuring Amedei's chocolate from Tuscany, Italy. The gentleman ringing us up asked if we were dining in or taking out. When we told him we were dining in, he carried our plated slices to a nice table for us! Nice touch. We loved our Mille crepes! They were so creamy, light, and not too sweet! I would like to try the Pistachio next time!

Yelp
This isn't my first visit to Lady M, but it was by far the worst experience. The young male staff member was extremely rude, and it left me feeling very disappointed--especially after spending over $100 on a cake. Definitely the most unpleasant visit I've had at any café or cake shop.

Yelp
Got a 9 inch cake with an assortment of slices. It's pricey but for a very special event, it's a fun way to celebrate. We got matcha, lavender matcha, chocolate, tiramisu, strawberry, passion fruit, guava, and original. It was also nice to be able to walk in at 5 pm and get a whole cake. A lot of other places require ordering ahead of time.

Yelp
Nice and friendly. Stopped by to pick up two slices of their famous crepe cakes. Was smooth and the person behind the counter was suggesting their new menu. As always, their cakes were delicious!

Yelp
Decided to check out this place. They make crepe cakes. Lots of variety. Got one to go. I thought they were expensive $11:50 a piece. Looked good. Tried it when I got home and was disappointed by the flavor and texture of the cake. I expected a soft velvety cake (it was tiramisu flavored) but found it to be rather dry and chewy. The cakes are beautiful to look at but unfortunately disappointing in taste profile.

Yelp
Brought home some Lady M Mille crepes and they were pretty good but my favorite was definitely the pistachio. I was some of the flavors of the crepes were stronger but I felt like the fruity flavors almost blended in together tasting very similar. They all had subtle light fruity flavors except for the pistachio one which is probably why I liked it more. Overall the base definitely tastes the same since it is all cream and not super flavored but it's still a pretty well made crepe cake but for the step price for a slice I'm not sure if I'll be back.

Yelp
Got the strawberry mocha cake this time. Surprisedly it turned out much better this time. There was no mold, the cake tasted fresh and delicious. Happy with the cake

Yelp
Perfect spot to chat with friends in a spacious, new, and convenient location that doesn't get too crowded. We had a group of 9 for a fun chat after watching Wicked movie in Mountain View. The highlight here are the crepe cake slices which are delicious, interesting, and importantly "not-too-sweet." We enjoyed the fun champagne one with gelee on top and also the chocolate one with Amadei for connoisseurs. Lady M isn't the cheapest place but a very good experience for light dessert and coffee/tea. We enjoyed this cafe in Manhattan and SoCal so glad to see it in Bay Area.

Yelp
The two stars are for the pretty delicious milli-crepe cakes. We ordered two drinks - they are just ok. We were the only two customers sitting there. Subtracted three stars because of the staffs who were either dishonest or careless. They overcharged us for one slice of cake (plus tips). If we didn't check the receipt one more time and asked, we would not even get the refund of the piece of cake ($9.20). The experience was not that good.

Yelp
I've loved Lady M cakes for many years and always recommend them to friends. However, the service at this location was very disappointing, definitely not up to the standard I've come to expect from Lady M.

Yelp
What I would give to have another slice of their Pistachio crepe cake again . If anyone wants to PM me when they'll bring it back... lol I called in June to their corporate to confirm if the location was accepting orders again, and at the time, the operator said it was closed for good. But to my pleasant surprise, corporate called me back within 30 minutes to let me know they are taking call in orders for pick up. I've had nothing but great service from Lady M onsite and from their main line. I don't stay to eat the large 9" cakes that I order because it's going home for the fam. Love their Pistachio, very rich and creamy. I've had their other flavors, but nothing beats the perfection of Pistachio for me. Online ordering is a breeze, I haven't been back to this location since they closed temporarily and recently reopened. But when I see Pistachio back... *adds Pistachio Pistachio Pistachio* a few more times for vis, I'll be back!

Yelp
Well-made and light pistachio crepe cake. The layers are even and there's just the right amount of cream between each layer. Definitely pricey for a slice of cake, but I've made a crepe cake before and know the amount of labor it takes to make all the layers. The pistachio flavor comes in strong and it's well balanced. It came in a nice box which I appreciate for the price tag.

Yelp
You know you are at a special place when you buy a cake at a "boutique." No, not just a bakery, sugar, eggs and flour, but: a boutique. If you have been a bride and have bought a nice wedding dress at those wedding dress specialty stores, you could appreciate Lady M. Today is my birthday and I was asked a week earlier by my SO what cake I want and I immediately shouted "Lady M!'" But I live in Oakland and this place is in: Los Altos? Yeah. I want a Lady M Cake. This mere establishment in the Bay Area sprouted up in 2019 and it survived the Covid depression and is still standing in its square boxed hut just off El Camino and San Antonio. The flavors are to die for: Purple Yam, Pumpkin Brûlée, Hazelnut, Passion Fruit. Yeah, I've pretty much had them all and they are all 2 dimensions better than the next best cake. And yes they are expensive. One day, inflation will spike again and they will sell these cakes for $500 and I'm gonna say, "damn that's overpriced, but DAM it's too good NOT to buy. This place originally came from NYC somewhere in Manhattan, most likely near a Kosher Deli in the midtown East Side. I'll have to look that up. The service here is posh, enthusiastic and polite. The quality: the best ever.

Yelp
Got my brows done nearby so instead of heading straight home, I decided to take myself out on a dessert date. I have not eaten out by myself in so long. I love eating by myself. There's something so relaxing about it; no small talk needed, no eye contact needed, no conversations. After I snapped a picture of my slice, my phone was out away also. The intricate work layering 20 crepes shows. I ordered chocolate for myself and was giddy as I was about to dive in. It was almost too pretty to eat. The crepe later wasn't dry. The chocolate cream was smooth and mildly rich.. perfected thin layer throughout. Tess enjoyed the tiramisu slice I got her. I wasn't so sure if Ronnie's mom enjoyed the passion fruit slice but let's just say that my next splurge would be an entire crepe cake. Yes, it's quite expensive but doing this takes incredible patience and calculations. The "name" date I did not know I needed. Service was awesome, by the way. Friendly and thorough.

Yelp
(Overall: 57%: F) - My parents picked up these mille crepe cakes from Lady M and I tried the lavender and matcha flavors. While these crepe cakes sound fancy as a concept, I never understood their staggeringly high price point. Regardless, you would expect the ingredients to be high quality when they're above $10 a slice. However, to our surprise, 2/3 people who consumed these cakes a while back (including me) got an upset stomach almost instantly afterwards. Overall, I found the presentation (especially looking at the piping of the lavender slice) to be a bit sloppy, the taste to be mediocre, and the quality to be concerning. While the New York Lady M does not give me stomach issues, this one is something I definitely don't recommend. IG: @amei.eats

Yelp
The crepe cakes are delicious here and the quality is consistent. My fav is the passion fruit one when it's available. The cakes are expensive though at ~$10 per slice.

Yelp
I tried this for the first time yesterday. We had the chocolate crepe cake and the Marron Mille crepe cake. They were good, and special in the sense that you don't have a "many ultra-thin crepe upon crepe layer stacked into a compact cake" like this every day, but for my tastes, it wasn't ultimately a must have dessert that I really desire to eat again. It's not really a fault of the execution, just doesn't happen to be a genre/type of dessert I happen to appreciate or want to pay a premium for. I think my wife enjoyed hers more than I enjoyed mine. I mean I did enjoy it fine, just didn't find it anything I would really try to seek out again.
google avatar

Diana D.

Yelp
I wanted to check out this place because 1) it looked fancy and 2) I had never tried the crepe cake. So, I was looking forward to it. As we entered the store, we were greeted by very friendly and cheery staff. We got a slice of the Signature Mille cake and a tiramisu. The cake was nice, very creamy, and not too sweet. The store was very cute. The only qualm I have with this place is that they serve on disposable plates and plastic utensils, which is a bummer. For the price and the ambiance, I'd expect a real plate and utensil, but oh well, a person can hope.
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered a cake online and picked up at this location. It was very easy, staff were very friendly and helpful. The place itself was clean and trendy. It is always my favorite for crepe cakes! My personal favorite is matcha, it is just the right amount of sweetness, each crepe layer is filled with cream and was very enjoyable! Signature and tiramisu were also good, just a bit sweet for me. I'd always come back for their crepe cakes.

Yelp
The last time I visited the Lady M salon was pre-pandemic and due to popularity there were lines to purchase the cakes slices. My recent visit, there we no lines, but it may due to visiting as they were opening. The layout changed a bit, but inside was still very bright, clean (almost sterile) and I felt welcomed. On my visit the new flavors I noticed were lavender crepe and guava crepe as well as their familiar flavors--it was so hard to choose. I opted with the standard flavors, green tea and tiramisu. I walked with only two slices, it was only for 2, and crepe cakes are meant to eat sooner than later. The cakes were just like how I remembered it...each layer of thin crepe deliciousness. It may have been awhile (they no longer sell Royce chocolates either), but it still is good and worth the price. I've had other crepe cakes, but nothing compares to Lady M.
google avatar

Joan W.

Yelp
I love crepe cake and there aren't too many places to find it so I'm so happy I found a store dedicated solely to crepe cake. The interior is beautiful and bright with a lot of white. It's a clean inviting look, kind of like what a modern version of how See's Candy would look. They have many cakes, but I always gravitate towards the green tea one which is excellent. The seasonal strawberry swirl is also very good and flavorful. For people that are used to heavy buttercream frosting, crepe cake probably won't seem as sweet but I think they are just as good. Worth noting that if there is any special occasion like graduation or Mother's Day they can sell out of product. I came once an hour before closing gradation weekend and they literally had only 2 slices of cake left. Wth! In times like that it's best to order online or call ahead.

Yelp
Today, I drove from San Francisco to buy a family birthday cake (Pistachio Mille Crêpes - 9 inches) between 2 p.m. The weather was especially very hot, so I asked politely if you could wrap the cake cold. but the young male staff, who was not friendly, said that they didn't have such service. But It was not my first visit, so I said that when I visited before, they did. But the staff said they didn't know, and "If you want to file the complaint yourself." It's an expensive cake. My suggestion is that Lady M should prepare these basic service training with the right staff of your customers. I am very disappointed that your complacent response has led to the loss of trust from customers, and I am also sorry for Lady M, who only cares about sales.

Maribeth A.

Yelp
i love desserts but their cakes are a whole different level. went in to pick up a few slices for the family and omg- the selection was overwhelming- in a great way. i just wanted to take a slice of each to take home but narrowed it down to 4. had the chocolate, chocolate matcha, guava and tiramisu. all amazing! the staff was very kind and patient as they allowed me to take my time to choose. and the place is very clean. i will definitely be coming back- hopefully soon!

Sammy L.

Yelp
Love their crepe cakes; they have seasonal flavors as well their classic ones. Always a favorite anywhere I take them as desert. The service is great too; I just had a cup of coffee and slice of crepe cake and enjoyed the experience as I did some work on my laptop.

Yelp
This location has the rudest staff. They're condescending the arrogant. If you can't be nice to customers and hate your job. Go find something else to do.

Yelp
I mean...I'm going back to New York, and Lady M is my first stop. There's a ridiculously wide array of things I can say, but I'm torn between letting you all in on the secret, thus overpopulating the space with more bodies than they can seat or not telling you the actual truth. I'd like to keep this little gem of a secret all to myself, so yeah, it was awful. Terrible. Run for the hills, you do not want Lady M, stay away from their not heavenly 20 layers of crepes surrounded by the least delectable cream filling you'll ever taste. No, you don't want Lady M. Stay away. Save it all for me!
google avatar

Yelp
my friend was kind enough to gift me a slice of lady m's matcha crepe cake--i have not been to this location but he told me about the bakery and cake selection. it is pricey but high-quality and assembled with care. // matcha crepe cake // wow, the cake was really good! thin layers of crepe with matcha cream between and matcha powder sprinkled on top. very strong, high quality matcha and not too sweet which is the best part. the only con i can think of is the outside rim is a little dry from the ends of the crepe layers, but the rest of the cake was delicious. i'm not sure when i would splurge next on a crepe cake here, but i'd definitely try the matcha again.

Yelp
I used to get my Mille Crepe cakes from Antoine's, but now Lady M is my definite go to. Their by-the-slice options are super reasonably priced and they usually have quite the large variety to choose from, included non-crepe cakes. Their one slice is also about equal to two of Antoine's at nearly half the price...so that's a no brainer. During our recent drip we got the coconut cheesecake, and tres leches and rose mille crepe cakes. The rose was not only the most beautiful but also the yummiest one. The rose flavor was delicate, not overpowering, and worked well with the filling of the cake. A definite winner.

Yelp
This place is support clean and well organized. The staff here is super pleasant compare to the other location here in the bay. Always a pleasant experience when I come here with my family. If you'd like to try lady m and not feel rushed, this location in the bay is the most ideal.

Yelp
My friend and I tried two slices of crape cake at this location. The gentleman behind the counter was knowledgeable and super friendly. I took his suggestion which was chestnut and absolutely loved it. My friend tried butter pecan and he enjoyed it, but it was too sweet for my taste. This place is so chic, and romantic. There are parking spots right outside the store. I'd love to come back to try the pumpkin cheesecake.

Yelp
Cakes are delicious, favorites are tiramisu, pistachio, and green tea. Very pricy though. The place is very modern & clean. The guy was very nice & helpful.

Yelp
Ordered a cake via the website a week prior to pickup and my cake was ready on the day specified. Payment was made online at the time of order and the website also sent out email notifications the day prior. Upon entering, the staff wore uniforms, a mask covering their nose, along with tight nitrile gloves for safety. Checked in with the associate and the associate grabbed my 9" mille feuille in the back for me to take a look at prior to signing on the iPad. The 9" mille feuille was light with numerous layers of crepes sandwiched in between whipped cream. It was a light dessert, without needing to fly to NYC anymore! $98 for a 9" mille feuille and they take credit cards online!

Yelp
If it wasn't for my dad, I wouldn't have found out about this 'bougie' & 'uppity' cake boutique! Haha. I must say that I became instantly a fan of this place - not only due to its pristine location in the heart of Mountain View and Los Altos, but a destination for sweets that isn't just sweets - it's their signature Mille Crepe Cakes that are worthy splurging for & treating yourself to! Crepes (a few dozen, not a thousand) layered with a light whipped-cream pastry cream make up the signature Mille Crepes Cake at Lady M, taking over the site previously filled by a Peet's Coffee & Tea. Parking is a-plenty, and it is conveniently located off the San Antonio Road exit off the 101! There are many surrounding businesses in the area, and people do flock to this location - as the only other location is in San José's Westfield Valley Fair mall. The best thing about this Lady M location is that you don't have to navigate through a huge parking garage, and then walk for awhile; in addition to lugging your purchases around the mall. It is simply a cake shop with tables & chairs that are comfortable, in an aesthetically-pleasing environment - should you choose to dine in! Most people take their cakes for to-go & simply enjoy them in the comfort of their own homes. Cakes are made in San Francisco, and the Lady M signature pastry, the Mille Crepes Cake, costs about $8-9 per slice, or $90 for a cake that serves 12. Lady M reimagined the classic French gateau de crepes with "Japanese sensibilities," particularly evident in its matcha variation. It also makes sponge-style cakes, cheesecakes and mille feuille cakes that vary seasonally. As of this summer season of 2022, their Purple Yam Mille Cakes are my favorite! Gives that Filipino-inspired 'UBE' vibes once you see 'em & indulge in such goodness! Ahhh!! Lol. The crepe cakes, which hand-layer more than 20 crepes with slathers of cream, come with a special knife for slicing - Lady M recommends wiping cream off the knife between each slice - and the cakes have to live inside the fridge before they're served. Make sure to make the trek out here on this side of the Bay Area - and since the cakes are quite fragile (and a little pricey, tbh), I recommend in taking an insulated reusable tote bag with you & an ice pack to keep them cool during your travels. It is a life hack that you'll be grateful for - as you would not want to dig in a cake that's kinda melted once you get home! (not Instagram-Worthy, too! Haha!) It's always nice to be able to treat yourselves once in a while, and as for cakes, you wouldn't want to miss this chance of indulging their luxurious mille crepe cakes for you and your loved ones!

Yelp
I never knew about Lady M until about 5 years ago, when my wife introduced it to me. We almost always order the crepe cake slice, like exclusively, because she loves it so much. Each of the crepe cake flavors are excellent, but you cannot go wrong with the green tea or chocolate variation. At this location, they will offer both seasonal cakes and their classic cakes. Do not miss out on the checkers cake. They tuck a little whip cream between the dark chocolate ganache top layer and the sponge cake. Try it with the coffee. I order the latte here and was very impressed with the drink quality. The server treated us very politely and had lots of positive energy. This location is great for a small desert visit for a family, or for couples. Hopefully you'll make the cake last longer than I did, and still have plenty to talk about!

Yelp
The interior of this place is very fancy and the seats here were super comfortable for eating the desserts! The signature crepe cake was my favorite of the two I tried! It was very sweet but not enough for me to get tired of it which was great! The Jasmine cake was also very delicious and the little bit of sourness from the lemon helped refresh my taste buds to the point I could finish the whole thing. Both cakes were also very creamy and moist! I would 100% come back and try all of their other flavors!

Yelp
Came in to get a slice of Lady M and picked out red bean. I've been to other Lady M locations and they never charge for bags so I was surprised about the 10 cents charge. Red bean Mille crepe - loved how the red beans were layered in. The crepes were super soft like always. Overall, the crepe wasn't too sweet which I really appreciated.

Yelp
The staff is pushy and inpatient. I highly recommend they get more training in customer service.
