The cakes are good, but not brilliant. Nicely presented and pleasant to taste, especially the famous mille crêpes, but the experience doesn’t quite live up to the hype. Worth a try if you’re nearby, though not a must-visit spot in NYC.

Topnotch! I’m usually not someone who goes for crepes, but I stopped by to pick up a few for my mom’s birthday — and I’m so glad I did! This place completely changed how I think about crepes. Each bite was packed with flavor and had the perfect touch of sweetness. Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend trying the passion fruit crepe — it’s a must! Loved everything about this place. Definitely worth a visit, even if you’re not a crepe person (yet)! I wish they had some gluten free crepes as well.

You can eat in or take it to go, though there might be a little wait. This place always delivers high quality. Their crepe cake is generally not too sweet, and they frequently offer new seasonal flavors. It's a family favorite!

Loved this spot. Lady M is always a solid choice when you’re craving a really good dessert. The cake was delicious, super smooth, not too sweet, and you can tell it’s made with high quality ingredients. The layers were perfect and the chocolate on top was rich without being heavy. 5 stars for customer service and gluten free option availability: I went there at 7pm last night and the female (young, white) and male (young, slim, black) employees went above and beyond to create a hospitable experience. Considering the amount of tourists and customers they have to deal with, they were consistently kind and polite to every customer who visited. Gluten free crepe cake was extremely fresh and the ingredients were incredibly rich. I got green tea (see photo) but they also had regular vanilla. 3 stars for atmosphere as they do not allow you to eat GF cakes in store- you can only take to go due to “cross contamination” concerns. But if that’s the case, where do they make the GF cakes? If the kitchen and your to go equipment is safe from cross contamination, surely I am safe to eat the cake out of the box or a clean plate? If this is still such a concern, they should just advise customers of their concern and let them decide how they want to proceed. Because a cake this delicate and fresh, should be eaten there and then and as a paying customer, I should have the choice to do what I want with information you provide.

A friend recommended this cake shop and said it was a must-try in New York and wow, it truly lived up to the hype! Luckily, I went with a group of friends, so we ordered a variety of cakes to sample together. Every single one was delicious. We tried everything from rich chocolate cake to classic red velvet, lemon cake, and creamy cheesecake. The textures were soft and moist, and the sweetness was perfectly balanced nothing too overwhelming. When we arrived, the line was already stretching out the door, which was a bit intimidating. But surprisingly, it moved really fast. The staff was super efficient and friendly, and they handled the crowd with ease. The only downside was that the tables inside were all taken, so we decided to take our cakes across the street and enjoy them at Bryant Park. Honestly, that ended up being a highlight — sitting on the grass, soaking in the city vibes, and enjoying our sweet treats under the trees made the experience even more memorable. If you’re a dessert lover, this place is totally worth the stop. Great flavors, quick service, and an easy walk to a beautiful park for a little cake picnic. I’d absolutely go back again next time I’m in the city!

Got the gluten free signature Mille crepe and LOVED how soft and fluffy it was!! Not too sweet and no weird texture!! I also tried the peppermint hot chocolate with almond milk. It was too sweet for me and too water-y but I still appreciate having a dairy-free hot chocolate option

Service nice and friendly. It's pricy for one piece is cake / crepes, you end up paying 12+ $ but it is worth it Anytime I am nearby Bryant Park area. I always come here. The place is here very cozy nice and clean .

Wow! Just wow. I was in the neighborhood and decided to stop by to get a slice. The cashier cut and gave me the smallest slice known to man and then had the nerve to tell me $11.50 usd! Never ever ever again. Definitely not worth the price. Juniors cheese cake cost about the same but you get a SLICE of cake and it's worth it because you're eating the cake for 3+ days. I've never been soo disappointed and felt so cheated in my life. The cake is good but definitely not worth the price.

I typically have had wonderful experiences at Lady M. I order it every year for my birthday. Today, I politely asked an employee to throw away my trash and instead of a simple "sure" or "no problem," I got a "the garbage is over there, by the way." Apparently, customer service here means pointing you to the trash can with zero courtesy. Maybe Lady M thinks their cakes are so good they can afford to treat customers like second-class citizens. No matter how good the cake is, rude employees will leave a sour aftertaste. Save yourself the frustration and just throw your own trash away.

The best crepe cakes. The matcha one was my favorite. So light and not too sweet. The chocolate one was good as well but it was a bit soggier and just not as light. The sencha tea was absolutely delicious. Service was great as well. Would highly recommend.

I preordered Overall, Lady M is my goto place for birthday cakes and celebrating birthdays. You can dine in at Lady M with cakes and drinks. Or you can preorder the cake. Please note if you preorder the cake on their website it needs to be 2 days prior to pick up. I tried their 9 inch Dubai Chocolate which was delicious! Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambience: 4/5

I love lady M cakes and will make it my life's mission to try every flavor. This location had a lot of seasonal flavors. We got the Ube, jasmine calamansi, and peach. I wasn't expecting it, but the peach was our favorite.

Ah, Lady M, what is not to love. I've defected to Lady Wong in the last few years due to their flair for incorporating southeast asian flavors, but will always have a fondness for the original Lady that introduced me to the joy of Mille Crêpes. Just a lovely space to grab a pot of tea & share some layers!

Ahhhhhh, Lady M. My absolute favorite place for cake slices and crepe slice artistry. Now, if you're going to visit the 40th Street store, FYI...***it is under renovation***. However, don't fret, because you could still purchase their award winning products directly next door, at Coffee Near Me. During this visit, I ordered the following slices: Amedei Chocolate Mille Crepe, Tiramisu Mille Crepe, and Checkers. Each and every forkful was exquisite, the optimal sweetness, creamy, and thoroughly enjoyed. I highly recommend Lady M for your slice or cake enjoyment and I hope that everyone will get to experience this delectable pastry shop. P.S. - I can't wait to review the renovated boutique!

WOW! It was amazing-- not too sweet and super fresh we decided upon the strawberry shortcake and it was big enough to share. It was cute place & We loved that it has inside tables to sit and the staff was helpful

My most loved is their Green Tea Mille Crepe Cake! the best delicate layers of paper-thin crepes and velvety pastry cream. Sweetness level is balanced and not too sweet. I enjoy trying new and seasonal flavors from them. Purple Yam Cake - purple yam everything! cake was lightly sweetened, yam paste w/ pieces of yam spread between layers of crepe with cream. Pistachio Cake - probably their sweetest I have tried so far, pistachio flavor was not present enough, was expecting denser nutty flavor Staff has repeated pretentious, annoyed and bothered behavior. Bad service also stays consistent throughout the years.

I was only in town for 2 days for my birthday, and was so excited to try Lady M. I wanted a sit-down location to enjoy it, but found out the 30 Rock location doesn't have dine-in option. So I walked all the way to their Bryant Park location, only to be told they had no more tables open. But I could clearly see 2 tables sectioned off, but closed. When I asked why they were closed off, the cashier explained bc they're under-staffed. But I told him I just wanted to sit down to eat my birthday cake, no need to serve me. He wouldn't let me dine in tho. So in the end, I had to eat my cake out of a box, on the side of the street like a homeless person. Yay NYC! Cake was good, but service just ruined the experience for me. He could've let me sit down, but chose not to. Bad mngt imo.

This is the location where I first tried Lady M crepe cakes, and I haven't stopped eating them since. These cakes are made from 20 layers of crepes with flavored fillings and cremes in between. The texture is soft and lovely, and the flavors are bold yet balanced. I've tried almost every flavor they've offered in the last 10ish years- I always have cravings for them! My favorite signature is matcha, and I've loved so many of the seasonal ones - passion fruit, popcorn (so unique!), earl grey, to name a few. TBH I haven't tried many of the other items since I always want the mille crepe, but they look fantastic too. This location sometimes has a line for seatings but the takeout line can be much shorter and moves quickly, so don't be deterred.

Since the weather was really nice, my coworkers and I decided to get some dessert to share. This was my first time having Lady M cake. We got two slices of signature Mille crêpe and Dubai chocolate Mille crêpe. I actually preferred the Dubai chocolate Mille crêpe more than the signature one. The signature slice was $11.50 whereas the Dubai chocolate was $15. It's quite pricey for a slice of cake, but I'm sure the layering of crêpes takes time and effort. The service could have been better though. The staff are a bit rude (rudely told us to wait outside because the door had to be shut the entire time, which the staff could've asked in a polite way-- they also could've had signs instead to inform people). If you're huge on crêpe desserts, maybe it's worthwhile to try at least once.

I loved their strawberry shortcake, and the ambiance was pretty nice too. I'm so happy that they opened this location with tables because a lot of other locations are take out only. I didn't get their crepe cake this time, but I recommend that too

Lady M is originally known for their crepe Mille cakes - although a tad too sweet and rich at times for my liking, lady M does come out with special flavors every so often as well as special products for lunar new year. I do come to Lady M from time to time, but it's definitely not an affordable place to purchase an entire birthday cake - more so a slice or two here and there.

Rude rude rude rude rude! Such arrogant self-conceded behavior. I really want to give this place 3-4 stars for their incredible dessert. However, the staff just ruined the experience for me. We were waiting in line while the server was busy preparing more pastries for the case. She rudely told multiple customers to "back out." To make matters worse, when the guy behind us pushed us aside and took the last piece of the Tiramisu I wanted. The staff member boxed it up and said nothing. I tried to tell her that's what I wanted. However, I was clearly ignored. Now, when I tried to order, tapped her foot to rush me since my first choice was given to the person BEHIND me in line. When I placed my order, she made a huge deal about boxing a few pieces separately. Well, if I am dropping them off at different places, I can't literally scoop them out of the same box and throw them out can I? All in all, come to this place if you are looking for high class insults and rude

Can't speak for the dine in, but I've had consistently fine experiences with this location. They always have a great variety of flavors, and my same day or pre-order pick ups have always been extremely smooth. There usually is a small line, but service is pretty quick. Prices have definitely risen through the years, but nobody does a crepe cake like lady m. My favorites are definitely the pistachio, passion fruit, and the classic green tea.

Had the signature mille crepe. Absolutely not impressed and wasted $11.5 on a piece of cake. The staff members were professional. The store looks clean but no dining in since all tables were reserved (for an event perhaps?). Had to take the item to go. Will not come back.

I didn't eat inside, but they roped the dine in part off to the public as it said reserved. I haven't eaten at a Lady M in so long. Their prices went up from what I remember. It's $11 for a slice of their signature crepe. I remember trying their green tea one in the past, and that one is tasty, too. The people behind the counter were very nice and got the line moving along. I'm glad I was able to eat it again, but the prices aren't affordable.

Today's weather was amazing and we decided to sit in Bryant Park which is right across of the store. Hardly any lines and sweet person behind the counter. We got the passionfruit and the green tea mille cakes - both were great but I wasn't expecting anything short considering the hype and the prices.

We came here because there was SO much hype for it on Instagram for Lady M cakes. Tbh, they did not hit the mark The slices are tiny and $11 a piece and in my opinion, you can get a better crepe cake elsewhere The staff kinda rushes you to pick unless you're going to dine in but the place is 2 little tables with waiter service which is weird considering how small it is. But they don't let you use the chairs or tables unless you're dining in even though you spend $25 on cake alone. Seems they don't really want people in there otherwise Cakes themselves - ok The tiramisu was definitely better than the matcha and had cream filling. The matcha tasted like a matcha pancake, could not really taste anything between the layers or notice layers unless you're looking at it. It was ok but for $11, I'll get cake someplace else

I really don't know what the hype is all about. I know they are famous for the green tea cake, but it doesn't give me a wow impression. The cake does have tons of layers which requires lots of manual work to make the cake but not sure it justifies the high price. I've been here many a times over the years, coming once in a blue moon because it's so darn expensive. I remember the $8 a slice days and I recently went a few days ago and it's now up to $11ish, and they charge you a nickel for a bag so you can advertise for them for free. They have seasonal flavors in addition to their standard menu. Once you go in, to the left is the takeout line and to the right is if you want to sit down. They have coffee beverages in addition to the cakes. It's a high end store with high end decor. Not a lot of seats but I think I counted about 4 tables.

I absolutely love Lady M! My husband and I always get their green tea crepe cake for special occasions like birthdays. It's always a hit! The staff is always very friendly , no matter which location I go to and it's always clean and quiet at their locations. Their crepe cakes are very delicious and not too sweet and perfect for parents ! I'd definitely recommend it to friends!

Takeout only. We tried the Purple Yam crepe cake and it got a great yam flavor without being too sweet and the crepes were nice and soft. They got their crepe cake game down pat!

If you're looking for a cute place with delicious desserts and amazing teas, this is the place for you, not to mentioned to service was top notch. I wasn't sure what to pair my Passion Fruit Mille Crêpes and the staff immediately gave me a suggestion and shared exactly how to mix my hot tea with it! BUT I will admit the cold Rose pedal tea was my favorite. It had a hint of rose taste that made it interesting yet cool and refreshing. Would definitely order again.

~ Pistachio Crepe Cake ~ It's a very nice crepe cake. The paper thin crepe cake is layered with creamy silky cream that is not overly sweet. Pistachio flavour is present, though could be stronger. Will I be back? Yes I enjoy eating crepe cake, and will be back to try other flavours.

I've always loved Lady M and this was my first time at this location. We waited ~30 minutes to get a seat inside. It's a small and cute establishment - nice for a friends catchup or a casual date. We ordered two iced green tea lattes, a slice of the passion fruit mille crepe, and a slice of the lemon yuzu tart. The green tea lattes were very bitter - I would highly recommend asking to get it sweetened if you are not a fan of a strong matcha taste. The passion fruit mille crepe had such a refreshing flavor and the lemon yuzu tart had an awesome balance of sweet and savory. The tart crust itself was nice and buttery and the lemon yuzu cream blended perfectly with it. As always, Lady M delivers sweets that are well balanced and not too sweet!

Had no plans of coming here but my friend had really really good things to say about the crab cakes here and we had to get some on our trip to New York. Definitely a good call. Such perfect layers and such perfect flavor and everything was just perfect. I love the tiramisu one the most. Second one was the chocolate. Tiramisu had perfect balance of cream and coffee flavor and it was just amazing. I could have just finished three slices of this. Chocolate was nice and smooth as well and I can totally see why it's one of the favorites. Friend and husband both loved the pistachio one as well. It was good but not one of my top choices. The checkbox one was also super cool. It was not a crepe cake though, so a little sad about that. Very light and spongy and what you would expect from a good cake.

Asian crepe cakes, taste good, not too sweet . Corn cake is very unique texture, macha and purple yam cake is alright . The price is in mid range.

I came here because I went to the library and it was a great experience. I walked by and saw there were tables available and I wanted to try their cake. I went in, was greeted and seated immediately. The server was very nice and patient. I had a lot of questions because it was my first time, I ordered the original cake with the 20 crepe layers and cream. She recommended the chocolate one but I wanted the original. The service was very nice and friendly. The place is very clean and I liked the simple bright lights environment. I would go back to try the chocolate cake. This is a great place to stop and enjoy cake in if you are in the area.

Review is for the lantern 2022. Ireceived the lantern moon cake. It's very pretty. To access the moon cake boxes, you pull the rabbit and see the 6 boxes of moon cakes. The 3 flavors (two each) Coffee Caramel, Earl Grey, and Purple Yam mooncakes flavors fillings. Love the earl grey flavor the best. When you spin the lantern, it has a picturesque view and very pretty when it lit.

Such a staple when I'm in NYC! I don't have a sweet tooth so I usually steer clear of dessert spots but Lady M is one of a kind. Tucked away near Bryant Park is Lady M - a dessert shop with tiny tables and all white decor. Their cakes are made with layers and layers of light crepes and mousse. For flavors you can choose from tiramisu, vanilla, passion fruit, strawberry and jasmine. I always go with the passion fruit because it's tart, light and it's so hard to find anything passionfruit in the US! Trust me, try this delicious spot!

When you want to treat yourself to some light sweet crepe cakes, go to Lady M. Glad there are a couple of locations in the city. The location is Bryant Park is very convenient... You can order ahead and go to pick up. The shop is not that big so there is a little wait to go in to order take out and a wait to be seated. Staff is friendly and service is good..didn't take too long to get in on a weekend and order to go. Wow, the prices have gone up over the years. Inside is nice and clean and the seating looks comfy if eating in. Large milles 9" $108; 6" mille crepes $66; Slice was $9.80 So many choices - normally go for the Green Tea milles crepe since it nice and light (though the matcha powder is bitter), or the regular one but wanted to try something different as well. Let's see: Signature mille crepes- always good Passion fruit mille crepes - is it tart? Popcorn Mille crepes - no sure about popcorn.. Strawberry swirl crepe - looks so good Tiramisu - maybe chocolate milles crepe- if you're a chocolate lover checkers cake - heard this was good strawberry shortcake - are the strawberries sweet or tart? cheesecake crepe - hmm interesting they sell bon bons too Decided on a slice of the Strawberry swirl crepe and green tea... Shared the strawberry swirl and finished it first (darn! need to have this one last! Move over matcha!!! there's a new sheriff in town! Strawberry swirl is now my new fave - taste like Good Humor strawberry shortcake!!! We both loved it! Sooo good! Next time saving this one for last and trying another flavor! I've heard a lot about Lady M cakes, I was pretty determined to try some on my trip to New York a few days ago. We went to their location at The Rockefeller Center, but they were closed, then we rerouted, and went to the one by Bryant Park. They were open. The boutique is small, and clean, with some available seating. They didn't let us dine inside though, which is a bit of a let down, especially since there were others sitting. The cakes all looked delicious! It was difficult to make a selection. I finally went with the guava, and my friend picked the green tea. They packed them in a box and we took them across the street to Bryant Park. If you're unfamiliar with Lady M cakes, they are made with super thin layers of crapes, layered on each other, with the appropriate filling between each layer. I really enjoyed the guava, it's the perfect refreshing flavor for summer. It was super creamy, and the guava flavor was very crisp. The green tea flavor was also really good. It was pretty loaded with the green matcha powder. I've had this flavor before at another bakery. This one however, had the ends of the crapes coming out, and they were chewy and a bit unexpected. Both of the cakes were so delicious! The favorite was the guava. I'd love to try the tiramisu next time.

Checkered cake was fluffy and decent. The original crepe cake was very moist and tasty, but not nearly what it was hyped to be. Definitely worth a try, but I'm glad slice options were available instead of purchasing a whole cake.

I like getting the Checkered cake and the Green Tea Crepe cake at Lady M. You can buy by the slice or the whole cake. Prices have creeped up over the years ($10.80 for a slice now).

Very slow service for a Saturday. It's clear that the workers preparing the to go orders also have to cater to the few clients and give them a full high end experience which is too much pressure and workload. They were either down an employee or this is a bad service model. Many cakes were not pre sliced so it slows the servers down and wastes time. Bags are 5 cents and the server asked after they already charged me and had my card go through. Passion fruit slice was amazing strawberry also good. For $10 a slice on Saturday in the summer they can hire another person.

There's a staffer manning the doors, maybe necessarily so because there's not much space inside if you needed to wait for a table. Now, I've never actually tried to sit down but it's still obnoxious, and it's not helped by the attitude you get from that poor staffer who needs to cut people off all day. On to the food. Cakes are delicious, which unfortunately means they're only at about par given the hype and the price. That said, I've bought my share of whole cakes and slices. At least you get quality service inside. Go if you must but I'd recommend getting it to go. There's a beautiful park right outside.

Went in here this weekend and discovered it's just a tiny shop with a bunch of cakes and slices on display to purchase. We bought a vanilla crepe cake slice for just under $10. You would think you would be able to sit at a table and eat it, nope, this is basically takeout only. Upon getting to our hotel room we indulged and don't see the big deal. The crepe has very little taste, all it seems like your eating is shaped vanilla whipped cream. However, they did put the slice in a nice box, and bag, if your into that sort of thing.

Located across from Bryant Park they offer dine in if you'd like to enjoy slices of their cake. They offer you water as well. Staff was super nice and welcoming and both strawberry and lavender slices were superb. They also offer a selection of coffees and teas as well.

We always make an effort to stop by Lady M whenever we are in NYC. Their crepe cakes never disappoints and I was particularly interested in their seasonal flavor - caramel buttered popcorns and guava! The guava flavor is a too sweet for my liking but I do enjoy the popcorn flavor!

I always make a list of food places whenever I have a plan to visit New York City. Few years ago, when I was making such list, this place popped up in many blogs. So I added it to my list. The ambiance of the boutique is very sophisticated. The staff was very nice and helpful. Being a fan of matcha, I got the matcha crepe cake and my friend got the signature crepe cake. They were heavenly. After going back, I tried finding a similar version of their crepe cake because lady M isn't in my location. None of the ones I tried, came remotely close to these cakes. Lady M combines French pastry techniques with Japanese sensibilities, that results in delicate cakes that are a touch sweet. My favorite flavors are matcha, signature and passion fruit. This is something everyone should try in their lifetime!

I'm giving Lady M 5 stars just on the hot chocolate! Made with 11 pieces of dark chocolate, half/half, and milk served with a sugar stick if too bitter. The aroma was tantalizing LOL, first sip was definitely very chocolate-y so I dropped the sugar stick in to melt, and it was perfect! My only recommendation is that it wasn't served hot...a little warmer than lukewarm. My friends ordered the lavender cake which I tried a small piece of...although not in my realm of texture likes the lavender flavor was delightful! They shared one slice and LOVED! There are a few tables for you dine in which we did...~20 minute wait since it was busy for a Saturday afternoon. You can also grab to go, which I noticed a lot of customers did and you receive a beautiful purple to go bag.
