Heavy greasy fat but lacks flavor. At noon on a weekday they only have a single flavor available in 6”. Signature cake was just a pile of heavy whipping cream that didn’t even have a quality dairy flavor. Didn’t even know there was a crepe component except that it held the cream together. Might as well of eaten low quality butter. Didn’t even finish a piece and gave the rest away. Waste of $70.

Located in Westfield UTC mall - a few tables inside and a couple outside. Store is very clean and modern, service at the counter is well enough., I tried the green tea (just average) and checker cake (below average) - in moisture, taste and texture. Maybe these aren’t just my style but I was underwhelmed after all the hype. A lot of other people seemed to be enjoying these though so they could be for you!

Google
Lady M is well known for their exquisite Mille Crepe cakes. This is my first time trying them, but I was a little disappointed. There were a few flavors and we tried pistachio, vodka, strawberry matcha, and green tea ones. Each flavor was great. I would recommend matcha and vodka. Their signature cakes tasted definitely great and distinct from regular ones, but the price could be cheaper. Besides, we had to pay for the takeout box.

Google
We ordered cake and three coffees. The barista told us our coffees would take longer since their machine was broken. We said that’s fine. The coffee tasted so bad and burnt. They should not accept coffee orders when their machines are broken. When leaving, I told her that our coffees tasted burnt and we couldn’t drink them and she said ok. Not even bothered apologizing or saying something like I’ll tell the store manager. We used to go to Lady M in other cities but never again in UTC.

I ate the cake at home, so I didn’t see the boutique and the service, but the CAKE IS DEFINITELY GOOOOD! DELICIOUS. AMAZING. Yes I saw the price and they are expensive but very very good quality. Is not heavy. So enjoy

Updated review- I’ve been loving Lady M for 10 years, from NYC to San Diego. I got a chocolate crepe whole cake for my birthday, I feel so spoiled. It is sooooooo delicious, every bite is smooth and rich. For me, this is a 100% perfect cake. I love the chocolate flavor a lot, while my favorite is still the green tea. Other flavors I like are original and earl grey. You should totally try their cakes if you haven’t because it is the best crepe cake ever in the world! Previous review- So happy that we have Lady M in San Diego now!! I moved from NYC 4 years ago, and Lady M is always my fav dessert spot in the city. I really miss it after I move here. And finally I got to try the new store with my friends. We all enjoyed the cakes. I got a chestnut crepe cake this time while my favorite is still the green tea flavor. But this chestnut crepe cake is still super delicious. I recommend you to try them one by one. All their cakes I tried so far are pretty good. I will go back to try some other flavors I haven’t tried yet the next time.

UPDATE: This is the most SHADY BUSINESS I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I was informed that not one but TWO separate people picked my order before I arrived, one mere minutes before my arrival. They are refusing to give me a refund despite my providing a proof of purchase. Lady M told me to contact my banker... are you KIDDING ME. They have zero policies in place to ensure that orders are going to the purchaser; and also refused to assist when I asked for names or descriptors of the thieves. This company is incompetent and negligent. Don’t waste your time or money. ———————————————————————————— Do NOT order a cake to be picked up at this location. It took me 3+ phone calls to have it ordered. When we arrived we were told they didn’t have it. I am so disappointed. This was my first and last experience with this company.

Yelp
Came in during the weekend and there were so many flavors to choose from. The crepe cakes are airy and light. I love it cause the crème isn't heavy at all. A slice will range between $10-14 depending on the flavor. We ordered their salted caramel, strawberry swirl, and their newest flavor, Dassai Blue which was infused with sake. We were warned there is sake (alcohol) inside and kids should avoid it. Honestly, it wasn't that strong at all. I tasted a hit of it but it wasn't overpowering the flavor of the cake. Service was great. We were greeted right away and the gal who helped us paid attention to what we wanted and made suggested as well.

Yelp
Cute shop, quiet place to sit in a busy mall and have a sweet treat. Nice shop and friendly workers who helped me quickly. Wide selection of crepe cakes and other sweet desserts. I got a Strawberry Swirl and wow it was just what I wanted. Soft, fluffy, creamy, good strawberry flavors but not too sweet nor very heavy. Shared with my family and everyone enjoyed it young and old! Looking forward to trying more flavors from them next time.

Yelp
The place is so pretty!! All the dessert is made so beautiful Customer service is always excellent! It's just hard to choose just one!! It's such a cool chill vibe. The cake/ crepe is not cheap, but quality is top-notch! We spent $10 each cake. I've tried the matcha crepe, and I'm addicted!! My daughter and I decided to try the chocolate one instead. It's so good!! It's not that sweet, and the mousse is so yummy!! My friend also got the tea and she says it's so good! She says it's the best tea she's ever had. I might try it next time. It's such a treat to eat a cake here. We'll be back to try different desserts!!

Yelp
I love crepe cakes so I was excited to try this place! Cute little shop with a variety of cakes flavors in their display. There were only a few tables inside to sit but it was empty since we came on a Wednesday evening. We got their signature crepe cake and it was delicious! Soft, creamy, fluffy and the right amount of sweetness. A bit pricey for just one regular sized slice.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place for a while after seeing it on social media. The signature crepe cake was fluffy and not too sweet! I would come back when I'm in the area to try their other flavors, but it is slightly more pricey

Yelp
Hooray Lady M is on the west coast!!! We were visiting La Jolla and this was at the top of my food list! It was definitely difficult to pick which flavor since they all sounded good, but we tried the popcorn and earl grey crepes. The staff was super nice and said we would be pleasantly surprised, which we were! I had so much fomo that we ended up coming back the next day for the tres leches. We also ended up purchasing some of the candies, such as the lychee fruit jelly, mango pearls and pear jellies. I was impressed with the variety of flavors. These came in an adorable "brownstone" box, consistent with the Lady M high quality packaging. This made for a very cute gift, but I probably would not buy these again for myself. They tasted okay but I maybe expected more given that each small box of candy is $9.

Yelp
We stopped by on a weekday afternoon. It was not busy and we were the only customers in. It is right next to Forever 21. There were several slices available and I asked my daughter which one she wanted to try. I did not see a menu of price slices, so I knew I was in for sticker shock. The only menu with prices available was one for drinks, which were reasonable for coffee prices. When I asked the lady about cake slice prices, she told me that they range from $10.50-$12.50. I almost gagged, but I wanted to try this crepe like cake. We chose the chocolate "Amedei Chocolate Mille Crepes" (cocoa crepes with pastry cream featuring Amedei chocolate from Italy) which of course is the most expensive at $12.50. I also ordered a latte for my husband for about $5.50. So with tip, I spent $20+. When my daughter and I tried the slice, it was very light and creamy. I actually don't care for crepes, but glad the layers were very thin and the crepes were seamless. We ate the slice over 2 days. The cake slice was good to try once to see what the hype is about.

Yelp
gâteau aux marrons (5/5): this is a crepe cake with 'two layers of almond cake with a soft whipped cream center, topped with crosshatch pipings of chestnut-infused cream, crushed walnuts, and snow sugar.' i loved the walnuts! everything was very simple, light, and not overwhelmingly sweet. i love anything almond flavored so i really enjoyed this. the girl who was working was super kind & gave me an extra one for free because they were closing. super good first experience & i would come back for this one and others to try!

Yelp
This was my first time ever having a Lady M crepe cake and it was DELICIOUS!!! I got to try the Pistachio Crepe Cake and it was sweet and creamy with real pistachios accented on the top. This cake was a gift so I'm not sure on the pricing, but I hear it's pretty expensive for an entire cake. Understandably so though because the layers were so impressively thin and the entire cake was constructed so immaculately that the texture mimicked a sponge cake. It definitely tasted decadent. Crepe cakes would be good for special occasions and I'm glad there's a location nearby!

Yelp
We visited UTC after spending time in downtown LJ . My uncle wanted to buy me a slice of Lady M cake to show me LM was going to be better than the previous dessert I just had at Beard Papas. The store is pretty fancy. One girl was working that evening to help customers (we were the only ones there that evening actually). We picked two slices to take home (their signature flavor and the chocolate flavor). Each slice was $10.50 and kindly put into to separate boxes when we asked. My uncle also bought two boxes of crepe biscuit cookies to bring back to Asia as gifts. The cookies were about $25 each. Their bags are pretty nifty and fancy too. I'm still not familiar with places adding a tip line when it's not really a sit down restaurant/cafe/service but we still left her a tip for her help. The cake tasted ok but not sure it was worth the $10.50+ per slice. And I personally cannot fathom spending $100+ dollars on a whole cake here. Extraordinary Desserts I thought was pricy but their cakes are quite substantial and taste pretty freshly made. The cakes here at Lady M tasted pre made (like from a factory) then shipped here to sell. Maybe I'd return if someone really wanted to try a slice. Otherwise, it was nice to finally try their famous crepe cakes.

Yelp
This place is pricey, but that is a given due to being in UTC. There is no price menu you will have to ask or do what I do and just find out when they ring you up. Whenever I've come in later in the day there's little selection so come here early if you are looking for a specific flavor. I got the matcha crepe cake here and it is amazing. The bitterness of the matcha powder sprinkled on top goes so well with the really sweet matcha filling between the layers of the cake.

Yelp
Well, it's definitely different, LOL. Been hearing the hype surrounding Lady M cakes throughout the years so finally decided to try -especially since there was hardly a line on a Saturday afternoon. Wasn't quite sure what to expect, only knew they spend a lot of time assembling the layers of crepe (not cake) within the slices. If you like crepe, this will taste familiar on the palate, just spongy due to the many layers and a ratio of more crepe than usual leaves you pondering what's similar yet different. It's definitely interesting. I just can't say it's worth $10.80 interesting. With so many great desserts out there, it's fine to try once but I'll take my business elsewhere. There's also nowhere to really sit and enjoy with a cup of coffee, though sitting outdoors on a sunny day at the many tables available near the fountain is a good option.
google avatar

Yelp
Quality dessert if you have a sweet tooth at the UTC Mall. We tried the strawberry swirl and sesame/oolong tea crepe cakes. The strawberry was more sweet, and the sesame was a unique taste one doesn't see often. With the layering, you get a different texture from typical sponge cakes or cakes in general. Also pretty aesthetic to the slices, box, and bag (not to forget the clean white interior). Definitely a splurge purchase, as it is on the $$ side, especially for the portion ($11 per slice and $108 for a whole). Craftsmanship does go into building these cakes, and the flavors are evident and fresh! But something to try once. No line at all on a weekday afternoon. They had plenty of flavors to choose from. Woman greeted me with a welcoming vibe. No tables to eat inside, but it's in a mall. Still took the cakes home to share (also can be messy with the sliding layers).
google avatar

Tammie W.

Yelp
Finally tried Lady M after hearing so much about it. I'm sad I didn't take a picture of the slices we ordered just to see each of the layers. I ordered a slice of pistachio while the hubby ordered a slice of strawberry. The strawberry was hands down the better of the two, was very fruit forward, bright, creamy and fruity. The pistachio was mild and only had hints of pistachio flavor. I appreciate that they're not overly sweet but did expect more nuttiness from the pistachio. While I don't agree with paying $11 per slice, I understand it. The labor that goes into making these has to be intense, we're paying for the name Lady M, and we live in San Diego so be prepared to pay more for everything. I may return to try the matcha or black sesame but am not rushing to go back right away.

Yelp
Whenever Lady M has new cakes, I would always buy them. Happened to see a store after lunch, I decided to pop into the shop to get the latest Guava Mille Crepe, and Berry Mont Blanc Tart. The Guava Mille Crepe had good guava taste, and as usual, the crepe tasted soft and good. As for the Berry Mont Blanc Tart, it was super good. The crust was perfect, and the cream was not overly sweet. I also bought the chocolate crepe biscuits, which was good. I hope for better service though.

Yelp
Crepe Cake I was so excited to try this place--I had first seen it at Jewel in Singapore but didn't get a chance to grab a slice. Was super excited to wander into a Lady M at Westfield UTC Mall! The aesthetic of this place is super nice, all white and sleek inside. This particular location doesn't have seating inside the cake store, but there are tons of tables and seats just outside near the fountains. Service quick and efficient. I was a little disappointed by the cake itself. It was a little overly sweet, a teensy bit soggy, and way overpriced for the size of the slice.
google avatar

Seetha G.

Yelp
I was really excited to try the crepe cakes after such a long wait. I was a little confused as we needed to ask the person helping us the flavor of each pre-cut cake and she didn't seem to want to go through it all. We ended up getting a slice each of the Green tea, Black Sesame (not a huge fan) and the Pistachio cream (my favorite) crepe cakes and a slice of the Passion fruit cheesecake. At $11 a slice, these are very pricey treats and can be quite messy to eat so highly recommend taking them home to go. They also had a number of unique and interesting flavors of candies in small boxes, the prices did not seem justifiable. While crepe cakes definitely are rather labor intensive and a signature dish, I'm not sure if its something I'd return for a second time.
google avatar

Corinna W.

Yelp
I only tried the strawberry crepe cake n it was divine. Tasted like Strawberry Haagen Dazs ice cream! It's very soft like cheese cake but has thin layers of crepe. $10 per slice , pricey but worth it. I ate the entire slice myself. It's too rich . I should have shared it LOL. I hear the checkerboard cake is incredible so I will try it next time! I came back on mother's day and tried the checkerboard cake and the strawberry short cake with my family . Both were amazing. I do think I like these a tad bit more than the crepe style cake. But it's still expensive for a small slice of cake. For me I would come once in a while or for special occasion . They do provide nice quality napkins and silver plastic forks.
google avatar

Allyson R.

Yelp
I was gifted the guava cake from here and it was delicious! I looked into purchasing an entire cake from here and it's so expensive! I don't think I'd pay $66 or over $100 for a cake like this, even if it was good. I saw there's a location in UTC and am interested in going there for slices, maybe for special occasions. But the prices seem expensive for what you get. If you haven't tried this I would recommend trying it.

Yelp
Yay, so happy Lady M finally opened in San Diego. The line was quite long for the first few weeks but the hype has died down somewhat and is a lot more manageable. I was told since it was new, there were some seasonal flavors it would not be receiving yet but hopefully in the near future like the Champagne flavor mille crepe. Some of my favorites are the Green Tea, Chestnut and Red Velvet. But my absolute favorite is the Passion fruit mille crepe cake. The texture is always silky smooth and I love the consistency of this place.

Yelp
My visit to Lady M at UTC Westfield mall was fantastic! I preordered the Lunar New Year box, and it was ready for me as soon as I checked in. In and out in just 5 minutes - talk about efficiency! The customer service was top-notch, making the whole experience a breeze. Now, let's talk about the box of goodies - absolutely thrilled with what I received! Big shoutout to Lady M for crafting this special box of treats. It's the little things that make a visit memorable, and this one was definitely worth it! Thanks a bunch, Lady M!

Yelp
Bah. I LOVE Lady M cakes. They're beautiful and tasty.. not too sweet.. and just lovely delicate cake that is fun for any party. If you have never had one, you need to try it at least once just for the unique experience of crepe cake. BUT THE PRICE. WHY IS IT SO GDYMN EXPENSIVE!??! It's almost infuriating and pull-my-hair-out expensive. The overhead to make these.. why hasn't someone attempted the duplicate for cheaper?! It's one of the latest additions at UTC. Armpit of the clock tower plaza area near Nespresso and across from Express. Line is usually short and goes quick.. and if people see you eating the cake, oh their eyes will light up and they will inquire: "Where did you get that?!" Because they are in fact very, very lovely cakes.... We tried the original.. and the butter pecan (soft moan) .. both did not disappoint.. definitely could have face planted myself into a few slices myself to nom away on the delicious cream between crepe cake heaven. But at a heart piercing $11+ per slice.. I can't do it on repeat. TL;DR: it's good. it's beautiful. it's godymn expensive. Worth a try.. but definitely an indulgence that is hard to repeat.

Yelp
A high-end boutique bakery has landed at the Westfield UTC Mall with the opening of Lady M. Their famous mille crêpes are out of this world, and the prices reflect that. Individual slices cost more than $10 each, and whole 9" cakes retail for greater than $100! The products were sold out early over the past weekend when the grand opening occurred. It seems that cost is not a factor for the loyal customer base, and now one doesn't have to travel to Irvine for the nearest location. This store replaced Godiva in the middle of the complex near Palm Plaza. Since it closes at 6 pm (or when sold out), I came on a mid-afternoon when there was a short line, and every choice was still available. Eight different flavors of individual slices were on display along with two types of whole cakes. A display area to the right of the service counter had candies and other packaged items for sale. I chose three varieties to take home... Butter Pecan, Green Tea, and Signature. The paper-thin handmade French crêpes were layered with a light pastry cream to make them look delicate and elegant. Each piece had just the right amount of sugar to satisfy a sweet tooth without making you feel full. In the case of the Green Tea, a matcha dusting topped the creation. The Butter Pecan was a winter seasonal flavor in addition to Red Velvet, Checkers, and Marron. Give Lady M a try the next time you are looking for dessert after a meal at this mall.

Yelp
Had heard about Last M opening and coincidentally found myself at the UTC mall for their first weekend. Given the hype, I had to give them a try. I was almost turned off by needing to wait in line, but since everyone is just buying premade cake slices, it's not too bad. I got the basic signature crepe cake slice to give their foundational offering a try. Is not the most intense flavor you've ever had, but it really is fun to bite through so many layers. The cream makes everything soft and easy to slice through with a fork, although it gets a bit tougher toward the edge. Fortunately you take your cake to go, so you can eat messily in the privacy of your own home. $11 is a lot to pay for a to-go slice of cake, but a reasonable price for something as labor intensive as a crepe cake. I can only imagine the effort that goes into making twenty crepes and layering them with cream. Still, at that price it will be an occasional treat.
google avatar

CJ L.

Yelp
My kids and I were in La Jolla a couple of days ago. I went into the shop as it didn't have that many people in line and was curious what the hype is all about. I was greeted fairly quickly. When I asked for the specific ingredients and calorie count- the lady who was helping me looked at her book for about 2-3 minutes but nothing she found on any of these somehow. It is very important to have calories and ingredients as I have a child who has allergies. This could be a potential liability for the business owner. The ambiance doesn't exude luxury nor inviting it is a bit minimalistic and sterile. The cake was tasty and a bit hard to bite at the end. It does taste good and seems like there isn't much sugar in my pistachio but my daughters tiramisu was super rich with crème almost overwhelming. The price of $11/cake is on the high side. I could see that 20 pieces of crepe is a lot of work but something has to add value for that slice when you can buy a cake for just two slices from 31 flavors.
google avatar

TianChee S.

Yelp
So glad I don't need to drive all the way to OC to get some good crepe cakes! Taste is what you expect from all their locations. I don't think they make it in-house, all the locations get it delivered from some central location and they just sell it there. It's pricy no doubt but once in a while, this hits the spot. The not so sweet desserts that many people crave.
google avatar

Rey D.

Yelp
I went to the one in LA and i once again tried this one in La Jolla but I didnt see anything special, its no flavor whatsoever and i actually know because they are super expensive but not good. All branches doesnt get any good score because it is too stupid to buy this gold prices cake, unless it is good.
google avatar

Alanna C.

Yelp
There was so much hype about this place so when we were at the utc mall we decided to give it a try. Afternoon on a friday, no one was there. All the cake slices are pre cut in a fridge case. The server said the most popular flavors were green tea, red bean and original. We got the green tea. The presentation was on point, but the flavor was lacking unfortunately. The matcha didnt come through. If you're looking for a matcha japanese dessert, I'd say your time and money are better well spent at cafe maiko on clairemont mesa.
google avatar

Steph L.

Yelp
Located near the Nespresso boutique. There are no menu or pricing signs. No inside seating. Line forms to the left. There was no line when I went so the transaction was quick. I wish they had a small menu that showed ingredients, especially for those with allergies. Each slice costs almost $11. It is 10 cents if you would like a bag. Chocolate Checker - I liked this better than the crepe cakes. More dense and better flavor. Matcha (aka green tea) - this was just okay. I didn't really like it. Flavor was just okay. It is incredibly expensive for a slice of cake. I am not sure that I would return.
google avatar

Joey W.

Yelp
Lady M is popping up in a lot of places! Tiramisu - one of my favorites! It tastes like tiramisu and is super creamy. It's not too sweet. The crepes are thin and soft. Chocolate - if you like chocolate, you'll love this! It's super rich but not extremely sweet.
google avatar

Arleen A.

Yelp
Lady M's crepe cakes are divine! I'm obsessed with the pistachio crepe cake, but I've also tried their original, black sesame, and earl grey flavors. Their cakes are soft, moist, and light in sweetness. I also recommend the checkers marble cake, the strawberry shortcake, and the banana crème foster pastry. The cakes are definitely high-quality, and you can taste the luxury. I like eating my cakes right away at the tables outside, and every time people would stop and ask me where I got it from. If you haven't tried Lady M yet, then you're crazy!
google avatar

Tim W.

Yelp
I don't care how good the cake is, spending $35 for 3 slice is probably the dumbest money I've ever spent lol
google avatar

Verona M.

Yelp
So surprised by the low ratings as Lady M has always been top tier & one of my favorites. I know a lot of it stems from the cost - but what people don't see if the effort behind mille feuille cakes that takes a long time to do, compared to just icing a sponge cake. My favorite has always been the original, but I LOVE all their cakes. Even their sponge ones are exquisite & places like extraordinary desserts with cheaper cake options don't compare to the cakes here. There are no seats inside, but plenty outside in the outdoor area. Everyone is also extremely friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
Lady M has delicious crepe cakes! The original is a fan favorite and for a good reason! They can be pricey, I think a slice was $12 or so and a small cake was $60 or $80. I liked the chocolate one too! The inside of the store is super nice and the staff is nice too. They will provide you with a cake cutter I believe and candles if you'd like! Also utensils. You can order online the day of for pick up too!

Yelp
I love Lady M cakes. It's definitely my fave type of cake, so I'm glad they opened a location in San Diego. The slices are always a perfect balance of sweetness and the textures are so delicate. I always get the green tea flavor but I've also tried their seasonal chestnut flavor which also tastes amazing. The pistachio slice was also yummy. The slices and the whole cakes could be a little pricey though, in my opinion, but they're not a bad purchase for special occasions or if you just want to treat yourself. This shop is located at UTC mall and there's no indoor seating available. It's a small space but there's plenty of seating outdoors or in the food court area. Parking is also available since it's located at UTC. Service is quick and efficient. Overall, I always recommend this place if you want to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Yelp
Finally had the chance to try one of their crepes! It is a cute little place and the ambiance was quite remarkable with its minimalistic and clean interior. They have a variety of crepe, cake, and beverage options. I decided to try their green tea crepe which was superb - it was very tasty and I loved the green tea/matcha flavors! I also loved how it was not too sweet! Their box for the desserts was quite cute as well. The service was very quick as there was no line. The staff was friendly and considerate as she informed me that despite some desserts do not have nuts/peanuts, they do use the same knife to slice the desserts. (I have a peanut/tree nut allergy and that was fine with me.) overall, great experience and delicious green tea crepe!

Yelp
I got so excited when this place finally opened at UTC! They have a good selection of cakes. We stuck with the basics for now and got the matcha and black sesame. Both cakes are super light but you can really taste both flavors without it being overpowering.

Yelp
I tried a slice of the green tea mille crepe cake and it was decent but not amazing enough for me to spend almost $10 again unless I tried a different flavor. It's a fancy place with an unassuming store front. I would have easily missed it if I was walking by.

Yelp
This place went a pretty simple concept, I think. Crepe cake. Crepe on top of each other with cream in between. Or maybe it's complex and I just don't know any better? Not sure lol And you know what. I enjoyed it. I couldn't stop eating the chest nut cream cake. They said that's seasonal and it's gonna go away in a bit. That's sad, cuz I would have come back for that one.

Yelp
Can't wait till the hype dies down for this place so I can get my Lady M fix in peace lol. Located next to Forever 21 in the old Godiva spot. I got here 2min before opening and I was already about 8th in line. Like all Lady M boutiques, their store is very minimalistic which is great cos your eyes just focus on the display case with the cakes haha. They have seasonal offerings as well as their regular menu that includes their signature mille crepe, green tea mille, checkered cake (non-mille) and red velvet (non-mille). Slices are $10.80 a piece which for me is a treat and oh so worth it. Currently, they do not do online order for pickup and you cannot pre-order if you wanted a whole cake... You just have to come to the store and see what's available to purchase for the day. They're open from 11am-6pm or until they're sold out. Also check out their bonbons, aka, sweets/candies. They're actually really good! Staff here are very friendly and efficient. If you want a bag, it's 10cents and I appreciate the fact that they tell you that upfront vs asking if you want a bag and then you find out later there's a charge for it.

Yelp
Walked by today at opening and saw a line of 20 people waiting so I wanted to see what the fuss was about. Line moved quick saw a few people walking out with full cakes probably for a celebration or holiday party. Service was curt I decided to go with a slice of their signature to get my feet wet. At $11 a pop I thought it was just ok. It's supposed to be 20 layers of crepes. I much rather prefer cake vs crepes. Honestly was nothing to write home about. I doubt I'll ever spend the $100 for their full size cake. I'm glad I tried it though now I can check it off my bucket list ;)

Yelp
Definitely different than a standard cake, but I'm not sure after the novelty of that wears off if I'd go back. The cakes are mostly pastry cream/filling, which isn't really my cup of tea, but if that sounds good to you then maybe you'd enjoy it more. The price is pretty prohibitive too, it's definitely not worth the money in my opinion. Maybe go and share a piece with someone to satisfy your curiosity but go somewhere else for better (and cheaper) dessert.

Yelp
Great dessert addition to the UTC mall. I tried their green tea and chestnut flavored crepe cake slices and liked them both. As they say, the best dessert compliment from a millennial is, it's not too sweet. Beautiful layers of crepes and cream stacked upon each other is definitely part of the fun of eating crepe cakes.

Yelp
I know of Lady M when I was living in NY and I was happy upon learning they'll be opening a branch in UTC La Jolla (my favorite mall in San Diego.) They're known for creating the mille crepe cakes I believe. Each slice comes per around $8-$10. We got the pistachio one which was so decadent and good! We'll be back to try the other flavors :)

Yelp
pricey but delicious cakes - specialty is crepe cakes Red Velvet ($9.50): chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting - not as good as the their crepe cakes, I don't recommend getting this for your first time here - had a noticeable taste of baking soda - cream cheese frosting was good, and cake was fluffy Green Tea Mille Crepes ($10.80): matcha-flavored crepes layered with cream and topped with matcha powder - I love how the bitterness of the matcha was strong enough to balance out the sweetness and richness of the cream Tiramisu Mille Crepes ($10.80): coffee/chocolate-flavored crepes layered with cream and topped with espresso and/or cocoa powder, with a layer of coffee-soaked cake in the middle - balanced sweetness and bitterness, just as with the matcha mille crepes - I didn't love the middle cake layer with its soggy texture; the cake would be better without it - cream is delicious!

Yelp
Going during opening weekend was probably a mistake. The store is quaint and clean. However, the lines were long and (although they closed at 6) they had sold out at around 3:30. It was frustrating that they didn't tell people in line that they were running out of stock so that they didn't waste time standing in a useless line. I get it though, opening weekend and quite busy. I didn't get a slice that day but a friend picked up two slices for me the next day. I tried the tiramisu and the green tea crepe cakes. Both were delicious and delicate. The green tea was a tad on the bitter side but I still enjoyed it. Very true matcha flavor. Highly recommend going earlier in the day rather than later.

Yelp
This is my first time visiting Lady M Cake Boutique. Before this, I don't know they exist for crepe cakes. The store was a little bit hard to find, but the map helped us finally find it. The store is beautiful and elegant. It's simple and to the point. There are many flavors displayed for you to choose from. We picked the original and chocolate, classic ones to be the benchmark. One interesting thing is that there is no pricing menu for single slice or the whole cake. We also ordered a cup of latte. The original flavor was simple cream flavor. The crepe was super thin and layered with cream. It's delicious, but I got full pretty quickly. The chocolate flavor was very chocolate. I could only take a few bites then got enough of it. Overall, good crepe cake place. For their flavors, they are okay. I was expecting more exquisite flavors, but it's my fault for picking the traditional flavors. If I come the next time, I would pick more interesting ones.

Yelp
I recently purchased a cake from this bakery and was extremely disappointed with the pricing. The cake itself was just ok but the look was ugly without any design. I felt that the price was far too high for what I received. I would not recommend this bakery to anyone looking for affordable baked goods. A basic cake chocolate cake for $108.00 !!! Tastes are like other bakeries! Just because they called Boutique ..... they couldn't charge people like crazy! Also they charge you for a bag for their boxes! What sharp Boutique's cakes...
