I’ve always loved Lady M cakes and have bought them in many cities around the world. They’re consistently great. This was my first time visiting this location, but unfortunately the service completely ruined the experience. There was a tall male staff member with a beard and darker skin tone who treated us very rudely and, honestly, it felt discriminatory. Since there were no seats available, we ordered takeout — four cakes, a croissant, and coffee. A female staff member helped us with the order and she was fine. Later, I politely asked this male employee for some forks, and he responded in a very impatient tone, saying “Some what?” like he didn’t even want to help. We waited near the entrance for our ride, and he told us we couldn’t stand there and couldn’t eat our croissant inside, and that we had to go outside. When a table opened up, we tried to ask the female staff if we could sit, but she didn’t respond. Then this male employee came over and said since we ordered takeout, we were not allowed to sit and had to leave. I told him no one mentioned that before. He replied, “Don’t talk to me like that. I’m not your server.” His attitude was extremely hostile and unprofessional. We only chose takeout because there were no seats. When seats became available, it made no sense that we weren’t allowed to sit. The whole interaction felt disrespectful and biased. Lady M deserves better staff than this. Employees with this kind of attitude — especially ones that make customers feel uncomfortable or discriminated against — should not represent the brand.

When we visited in November, there was no indoor seating or restroom access, which was inconvenient. That aside, the dessert was enjoyable—though I likely would have appreciated it more if I had been more comfortable. Additionally, a warmer and more welcoming attitude from the staff would have improved the experience.

One of the best cakes I've had. It's a unique layered crepe style dessert that is creamy, not super sweet, and melts in your mouth. We wanted to get a cake for a friend's birthday and picked out an assortment rather than their standard whole cake. Our favorite was the matcha and signature slices. Parking is difficult, but definitely a must stop when in town.

So weird. Got two slices today, one green tea- it tasted fishy- as in actual fish flavor. Super confused. This is a pastry joint. Wonder if whatever flavoring they buy for the green tea was cross-contaminated during production. I’ve had their desserts for a long time, first time something like this happened. Did anyone else had a similar experience?

I had a very disappointing experience at this location. The cakes are excellent as always, but the service ruined the entire visit. The moment I sat down, the team immediately asked “how long until your friend arrives?” and reminded me that they don’t take reservations, which is not exactly the welcome you expect from a premium brand. When my friend arrived and we finally started eating, we had barely finished our meal when someone came to the table to bring the bill, as if we needed to leave. To sum up, the in-store experience has never been worse, and I would not recommend dining here.

This place is amazing! I fall in love with their cakes in Honolulu. So when I came to NYC, I went their for my fav pistachio cake, but unfortunately it was seasonal addition so they didn’t have it. I decided to try their most popular cakes: signature, matcha and chocolate. Delicious 🤤 my fav is chocolate, matcha was interesting and the signature was too sweet for me, but anyway very tasty. The place itself is small but very cozy. Delicious coffee and tea. And excellent service! I highly recommend you all to try their delicate cakes! And I hope they will open their place in Miami ♥️

Most likely you have never eaten a cake this amazing ever! 4 tables only, wait time short, please let them know you want to sit. Great staff and service. Sharing the current menu in pictures, many are seasonal. BONUS TIP: after indulging yourself, walk 1 1/2 blocks south and visit the amazing Gagosian Gallery.

We tried salted caramel today. It’s great. I like their tea and coffee. Very fresh and it has great aroma. The staff are very well trained but I always feel not pleasant. Maybe because they make customers wait outside. They talk without courtesy. I see the reason but I think it’s a bit rude. They can give up a couple of tables and make a space inside. I don’t know. And be aware, it costs $3.50 for a cup of hot water... I think they are going to charge for a cup of water as well. Also it includes 18% automated gratuity. I usually tip 20% so I am not offended but I see it as lack of appreciation toward the customers.

Lady M - Is a true cake wonderland, not just a bakery but a buried treasure of luxury confections, so beautiful, they are almost too pretty to eat. These cake are an incredible combination of French pastry taking techniques and Japanese style cakes. The result is first, beautiful to look at. Most important, they taste incredible. My three favorites are: 1. Green Tea Mille Crepes Cake 2. Signature Mille Crepes Cake 3. Pistachio Mille Crepes Cake Since its fall and, I love pumpkin I am looking forward to trying the Pumpkin Nuage. The staff is helpful and courteous. Lady M may be pricey but it very much worth it.

Lady M layered crepe cake is the one of the fanciest cakes you can have. It's the second best cake I've tried. If you want to impress your guests, this is the one. They have branches all over the US. Some restaurants rarely offer this. The best locations I found were in this one in NYC and the one in LA. But they all have great taste. Not meant for dining in which is a negative. The vide is great here.. It is a very rich cake, just a warning.

Nobody presents cake by the slice like Lady M. They're not the best tasting bakery in New York City but if you consider consistency and service, Lady M wins. Like all Lady M stores, the staff is friendly and treats everyone special. The dining area is always clean, and it is a good place for sweet snacks or gourmet coffee.

Good service, take out only. It has been a while since we've been there so it's nice to revisit last weekend when we were in NYC. Good selection of their signature cakes, somehow doesn't taste as good as we remembered, still good, just don't stand out as before.

You never go wrong with Lady M's mille crêpes. Airy light pastry cream in between multiple layers of paper-thin golden crêpes. ＊ Pistachio Mille Crêpes Their friendly staff highly recommended pistachio flavor to me, emphasising pistachio is one of his biggest fav among all. Not sure is pistachio a limited time flavor, but it touched my soul. One point deducted tho as the pistachios were soggy. ＊ Checkers Exquisite chocolate and original sponge cake squared in a checkerboard appearance. Topped with a thin layer of fresh whipped cream and silky dark chocolate ganache. Not as impressive as the former cake, but it certainly remains a timeless classic flavor. My Recommendation: Pistachio Mille Crêpes Worth Returning ? Yes

I always make a list of food places whenever I have a plan to visit New York City. Few years ago, when I was making such list, this place popped up in many blogs. So I added it to my list. The ambiance of the boutique is very sophisticated. The staff was very nice and helpful. Being a fan of matcha, I got the matcha crepe cake and my friend got the signature crepe cake. They were heavenly. After going back, I tried finding a similar version of their crepe cake because lady M isn't in my location. None of the ones I tried, came remotely close to these cakes. Lady M combines French pastry techniques with Japanese sensibilities, that results in delicate cakes that are a touch sweet. My favorite flavors are matcha, signature and passion fruit. This is something everyone should try in their lifetime!

I came here yesterday to pickup a tiramisu cake for my mom and was astonished at how pretty this place is and how gorgeous these cakes are. Taylor was super helpful and easy to deal with. All the more reason I would go back for the red velvet one for my birthday in two weeks. The birthday cake was a success! Everyone at the party loved it. We only had about one slice left over. This is definitely our new birthday cake spot!

Seasonal butter pecan Mille Crepe! So good!! Where are all the pecan pie lovers? Upgraded pecan pie with layers of crepes infused with pecan flavored cream = heaven I don't feel overwhelmed after eating a big slice thanks to the saltiness of roasted pecans. Even the cream itself I believe is infused with pecan flavors. Have to try this when still in season!

Came here for a snack after walking around the MET all morning. Since the last time I was here 7 years ago, the store is now to-go only. Luckily, central park is a close enough walk to be able to enjoy beautiful scenery while enjoying a midday pick-me-up. We ordered the original mille-crepe cake, the tiramisu, and the strawberry. The original is always a great choice; beautifully delicate, creamy but light, and not too sweet (the highest compliment that my asian parents can give to a dessert). The strawberry had a deliciously tart puree in the center of the stacks of crepes, which added the perfect amount of strawberry flavor. The tiramisu was also delicious, though there was slightly too much cocoa powder on top for my liking. Overall, one slice of a crepe cake was the perfect serving size because of the light texture. We also got the hot english breakfast tea and the iced rose tea latte. Both were brewed to have a strong tea flavor and were perfect to balance out the sweetness of the cake. If you have never been to Lady M and are in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for both their original crepe cake and their other more creative ones!

Great patisserie for mille crepe cakes. Service is quick. There is seating if you want to sit, eat and drink tea/beverage while taking a breather.

Really enjoyed our first time visit to Lady M. The staff was friendly & helpful with suggestions and we settled on their pistachio cake that was delicious. We also tried some of the tiramisu cake which was equally as good. Enjoyed our time at this location.

Overpriced cake that's actually delicious. Forget all other flavors, original is the best, always.

One of the fanciest bakeries you will go to. There are only a few specialty cakes in the glass case and they are all incredibly expensive. The Matcha crepe cake seems to be a fan favorite so I tried it. The matcha flavor is prevalent so if you dont like the bitter flavor you won't like it. The other crepe cake with cream filling was solid but not magnificent. The cheesecake one looked good. I wasn't impressed with the cakes here and for the price I expected to be. You can see they give these cakes a lot of attention when making them just didnt do it for me. 3 stars.

It's a 100 on the quality of cake scale. But come on... $9+ for a slice of cake. The slices look smaller than the last time I went. I wish someone would come out and make a substitute. $9 is pretty steep

This tiny Lady M outpost on the Upper East Side boxes up and sell slices (or whole versions) of their internationally-loved Mille Crêpes Cakes. Each flavor including the traditional plain classic is magically delicious, super soft, and absolutely impossible for me to resist whether it is for dessert or a full on midday meal featuring a slice of Pistachio Mille Crêpes Cake and a slice of Pistachio Mille Crêpes Cake. Service during the pandemic at Lady M Cake Boutique was fast and efficient since "to go" is the only option ... and perhaps the best way to really enjoy luxurious layers of twenty paper-thin handmade crêpes married with a dreamy light pastry cream ... whether it's to share, nibble as a dessert, or secretly be your entire lunch.

Lady M Cake was shipped to us and used as a Birthday cake. It was enjoyed by all. It arrived frozen and we followed the simple instructions. It was delicious I have eaten other Lady M cakes at various restaurants and they were all wonderful. I would recommend to everyone .

Cake is delicious! Got our saves a strawberry crepe cake 9in and a slice of the NEW Caramel Popcorn. This is the second time we have come to this chain (different location) and have yet to be disappointed. I brought the cake for Easter for my family's dinner (who all don't like sweets)... but the absolutely LOVED IT. they all said it was the perfect amount of Sweet. So glad i found this bakery. Would recommended to anyone who loved good quality cakes, unique pastries, or even crepes!.... to try it out (any flavor!) at least once. I would say art with the signature basic one first :) This location had one guest at a time (one group) and it was very clean they wore their masks and the ladies behind the counter were very helpful and sweet. They get 4 stars because they forgot my cake cutter that they have (it works wonders!) :(

I've heard so many good things about this cake store and I finally had the chance to try it and let me tell you, it deserves every compliment and praises they claim about it. The boutique is a little small so if you want to sit down and enjoy your crepe cakes, it might be difficult when it is busy. The store is pristinely maintained and their ambiance feels very classy and you can tell attentive details were thought of. We got to try their matcha, tiramisu and pistachio crepe cake. My personal favorite was the green tea matcha cake - it was neither too sweet or too strongly in tea flavor which I enjoy. I can't wait to come back to try different flavors!

I ordered their Slice of the Best: Fall Favorites for a party, and not only does it take forever to get sent out, but it tasted like crap. It also didn't look like the online picture with the nuts, chocolate, and color, as you can see by my photo below and their photo online not even close. These cakes look pretty online, but I can tell you not worth $115 when I can go to a local bakery and get a better tasting cake and faster delivery for less. I had high hopes, but now I know never to order and work with others about this place. When I called to find out the hold-up, they were rude and had long hold times. I assume they send their call center out because if I was, the business owner and my staff spoke like this, I would fire them: completely terrible service, product, and pricing. If you order, you will soon understand why this place is all hype and not true to the word or others. I will assume soon they will turn off their reviews because of all the negative they are getting. So I will post the same review on Google. Yelp and others. Shame on You, LadyM!

Too sweet for me. Great texture with the layering. Got 4 slices today: peach, pistachio, chocolate and rose. About $10 each. No dine in yet. Take out only.

Light, not too sweet, all the flavors were effectively balanced. Perfect post lunch dessert. Loved the aesthetic and love even more when aesthetically pleasingly foods also taste delicious. The service was good, the staff helped us pick two really flavors the pistachio and the checkered one. 10/10 would get again.

I just visited Lady M on 78th st. When I purchased with my credit card, I had to sign on the machine with my finger. I asked the shop Clark if I could use the hand sanitalizer. He says, " we don't have it." " it's ok I clean up every time after someone use. " " but I am still not comfortable ... can I use the sanitalizer which you guys use? " he said, " oh we don't have it, it's ok" I don't believe the store which they sells foods don't have hand sanitalizer in the shop. After I left , I kept my eyes on that guy if he cleans up the credit card machine. Off course he didn't. This store should be more careful .. keep hand sanitalizer for the customers and employees, also have to educate the employees.

If you haven't tried Lady M yet, what are you doing? I came here literally 4 minutes prior to closing (I'm so sorry to be *that* customer!) and I ran on my way there. I had a late end to my work day, but I needed to buy a birthday cake for my mom. The staff was super chill and didn't seem to mind at all. I ordered a whole earl gray cake and a slice of red bean cake (seasonal for lunar new years). The Earl Gray cake is delicious. Each crepe layer is very thin and sandwiched between earl gray creme. The earl gray cake had the perfect amount of floral taste and wasn't too overwhelming. The customized words were an additional $5 and I was so happy with the way it came out. Props to the staff because the lettering is beautiful! As for the red bean, honestly I'm not too big on red bean but it was such an interesting flavor that I couldn't pass on it. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was! Each bite had bits of red bean and it wasn't too grainy as how red bean flavors typically are. It was a nice addition because of the small crunchy texture! Cakes here are definitely expensive, but definitely worth the purchase if you're buying for someone special.

+.5 for service There is almost always a wait if you plan to dine in here. However if you only plan to order takeout, you can skip the line and march right inside to the counter area. I've been to Lady M several times now, mostly in NYC but also in HK. They're all the same for the most part, so I always go with what I enjoy the most: Signature, tiramisu, and green tea mille crepes. The quality is on par with the other Lady M branches I've tried. I like the tiramisu crepe the most, but the signature is signature for a reason. I also had a matcha latte, however their ice machine wasn't working when I was there, so it was served somewhat lukewarm. Service is quick and efficient, as expected with small establishments like this.

A slice is $11, let me just leave it at that. I got the green tea flavor and yes it was good, but could I justify spending $11 on it? I can't. The texture is not dense like traditional cakes it's more dense in a mildly chewy kind of way.

Grabbed a slice of their matcha mille crepe cake to take home -- and it was a hit! Definitely on the pricey side ($9.50 a slice), but I'd actually say that's kinda typical for cake. They have lots of mille crepe cake in various flavors, as well as some other options like cheesecake or checkerboard cake, and you can pick up a slice or buy an entire cake. But I'd say definitely stick with the crepe cakes and just pick your favorite flavor. It's simply a yummy, well executed dessert.

Hmmm, the cake was bought the same day but it tasted like it's overnight. Couldn't really taste the layers like the cream had too much time to soak.

This is what came in today, 8 days after I placed my order. It was supposed be for my GF's birthday 4 days ago. Fix that "customer service" phone number on your website! I've been trying to call for 4 days, not even a chance to leave a message! If you don't have the capacity to handle customer emails within reasonable timeframe (3 days is all I'm asking), maybe stop taking new orders?

A little overhyped (and expensive) but delicious. Definitely worth a try at least once.

My daughter purchased the 6" Popcorn cake which was absolutely scrumptious for bothers' birthday celebration. I will be ordering for co-workers Birthday BBQ. The same cake just a bigger size.

Absolutely atrocious customer service by staff and "manager." I went to pick up a pre-ordered cake this morning and arrived at 10:30am not realizing Lady M Cake Boutique did not open until 11am although the door was open. I went in to pickup my order and was unnecessarily berated for "trespassing" and no accommodation could be made even though I saw my cake delivered while speaking with the staff. Absolutely unacceptable customer service whether or not they could accommodate. I won't be ordering from here anymore due to this awful experience.

After hearing about Lady M so many times and seeing so many mouthwatering pictures, I'm glad I finally got to visit! The two of us split one of their new flavors - the Salted Caramel Mille Cake. I think it might be a special for the month or something. There wasn't as much caramel as we were hoping for since it was all only at the top, but the crepe cake was still amazing! Every bite was heaven. Definitely have to try the Green Tea Mille Cake next time. This was a nice, quiet location and perfect for a visit after a walk in Central Park!

Got the red bean 9 inch cake for my mom's birthday and it was absolutely delicious. Each layer is so thin and layered with fresh cream. I love red bean so I am a huge fan of the extra sweetness it added to the cake. The cake is so light which makes it easy to eat a lot. Would definitely recommend! The cakes are really pricy but it's definitely a good treat for a special celebration!

Picked up a 9 inch red bean cake and it was divine! I'm typically more of a fan of their matcha/ plain cakes but this cake was so good. Not too sweet and a nice thin layer of red bean on top. The crepe layers were very thin as always and the cream was so fresh! Tastes best when eaten on the first day.

I don't care what it costs...for a special event or a special treat it's soooo worth it. Tip...cut while frozen if you buy shipped and it will cut into perfect quarters...put into vacuum sealed bags and store for later. You will want to savor this and savor it again. Have had many flavors but the green tea Mille crepe is just plain wonderful. Ordered one for our 10th anniversary to surprise and am reminded just how good it is. 20 Perfect delicate crepes layered with a wonderful green tea pastry cream between each, and a very high quality matcha powder on top. Just purely delicious.

Very pretty little cake boutique. Boutique is really the right word for it. Almost looks like a bridal boutique, as another Yelper wrote. Pretty place to sit and enjoy a dessert before walking to Central Park. (I went before the pandemic). The pistachio crepe cake was nice but had thicker cream than I expected. Nice place.

This place is pricy, at $9/slice for crepe cake, but mannnnnnnn is it worth it. We swung in, weirdly enough no line, were seated immediately and got their green tea and seasonal flavor - salted caramel. Salted caramel was good but a tad too sweet for us, but green tea was amazing. They each had 20+ layers, not too sweet, amazing texture, I really can't describe how good they are! As for the place itself: attentive staff, super clean interior with only a handful of tables so expect a line. You can order take out, and can pick up full cakes as well. If you order a full cake, it's best to call it in to make sure they have your flavor in stock.

The cake here is to die for! I wish I can try them all. I hope that gets to be an option soon. I purchased their tiramisu slice which was super delicious.

This is my favorite cake shop, but oof the price hurts my wallet. $9.50 for a slice of cake is a lot, especially for a slice the size they give you. I got two slices, one earl grey and one matcha, and it was $19 total. Talk about a shock! I told myself it was worth it and that I deserved the special treat and drowned my sorrows in the cake. The quality has stayed the same as all the times I've visited in the past, but the price has steadily risen over the years. I know prices go up because of inflation and probably also because they can charge that much and people will still go, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. With that said, I will keep on coming here but will have to save this place for very special occasions because I'm not bougie like that.

We stood in line a few hours before closing. While they were out of slices, they had two full cakes available for sale. Unfortunately, they would not cut the whole cakes to sell to the many of us who walked away empty-handed. Why not just cut up the whole cakes that weren't selling? What a disappointment.

I love Lady M's pistachio Mille crepes. The price increased to $9.50 per slice but once in awhile it is a decadent treat, very creamy, and best taken in small bites. I ordered a 9 inch Signature Green Tea Mille Crepes ($95) that serves 10-14 and a slice of pistachio Mille crepes ($9.50) on the Lady M website. There was no added tax. I received a text that my order was ready within 5 minutes. The cake came out in a large box from the refrigerator when I arrived. These cakes are not baked in house, they are baked at a plant in Long Island City. For a nearly hundred dollar mass produced cake, I would expect it to come in an insulated container or bag, with utensils, a candle, or a small cake topper since there is no writing, but it is just a simple cake. I had to ask for forks and napkins. The plastic cake topper is an additional $5. I'm glad the pistachio Mille crepes are not limited edition and is part of their regular menu. Can't wait to try the coconut and passion fruit Mille crepes next time.

Lady M was very underwhelming for me. My boyfriend and I split the green tea mille crepe. The dessert is very picturesque with the 20 layers within it, but I didn't like the texture at all. It felt like I was eating soggy thin wafers. Maybe crepe cakes aren't my thing, but since most people love it, I would say give it a shot! I'd rather have tried than to think what if. If you choose to dine in, they will tack on 18% gratuity.

Original mille crêpes tastes amazing but it's so pricey at ~$10 for a tiny slice! Definitely for a rare treat-yourself occasion.

*covid-19 experience* The tiny store had no line at all. They had lots of flavors of mille crepes available: original, tiramisu, green tea, passion fruit and pistachio. We got the original and pistachio and took it to Central Park to eat on a bench. Both flavors were amazing.

I was reluctant cause of the price and maybe it was all hype but it lives up to it. Not crazy about green tea cake as others (too much matcha) but the original & chocolate are so good & beautifully & deliciously made. I now understand why so pricey with the care & taste went into it. The employees at this location were super sweet and cool with me being there 5 mins before closing. I know a full cake is expensive and not everyone can afford it but slices can be expensive & small at $10 too but I think if you can spare that in our unfortunate expensive city, it will be a good purchase.

Mixed feelings about this place! Crepe cake slice + tea was definitely very good but one slice + one pot of tea =$22?! I know SF is expensive but oh man that's a lot. Interior decor of the place is also not as pleasing to the eye as I would have hoped it to be. Overall, it's good and I enjoyed grabbing tea and relaxing with a girlfriend here but a bit pricey and not worth all the hype (unless you've never tried crepe cakes before!!)

I got a slice of the green tea crepe cake and OH MY GOSH it was so delicious!!!! I savored every bite and didn't want it to end. I shared with a friend but I wish I didn't. It was that good! Every bite the cake just melted in my mouth. It was so delicious and it just felt so light and airy so I didn't feel bad after eating it. You could see each layer of the crepe (there were 20 of them) as you ate. Although it was overpriced, I think it was worth it. Obviously, I wouldn't buy this every day unless I was super rich but I'm so glad I got it because it was so good! If you had any doubts about trying their crepe cake, I hope I was able to erase all those doubts from your mind. Trust me, get the crepe cake, you won't regret it! (I hope)

Best cakes best selection. Amazing amazing food that I highly recommend you go to asap if you haven't already!
