We got our wedding cake custom made here - they did it beautifully! We sent a picture and they perfectly recreated the cake - it was so so delicious as well. Thank you Quacks!

We used Lady Quacks for my daughter’s wedding last Saturday in downtown Austin . Kristen was excellent to work with and great at communication . We wanted a dessert table comprised of a sweetheart vintage cake , cupcakes , and brownies . They knocked it out of the park !!! Everything was beautiful and tasted delicious !! Great quality and service ! Highly recommend using them for your wedding, or any special occasion!

I go to Lady Quack’s in Mueller and really like it. The place looks cute, and smell so good inside. I try muffin and one cake both very tasty. Staff is nice and friendly. They also make custom cakes, very pretty and yummy. If you want sweet food or good coffee, this place is great. I will come back again for sure.

Without a shred of doubt this is some of the best cake I have ever had, but the employees of this business are what made this cake extra exceptional. My close friend was having her 30th birthday party in Austin, so I sought out a custom birthday cake to help her feel extra celebrated and adored. I have never ordered a custom birthday cake, so ordering one when I lived out of state felt a little more stressful than I wanted. I reached out to Lady Quackenbush’s team about size, cost and design inspiration and heard back from someone quickly. They gave me an estimate and general idea what their team could create based off of the photos I sent. They helped me ensure that the location I was picking up from was closest to where we were staying, gave me pick up instructions, and made sure to email and text me my receipt. Every interaction with their team was so pleasant and kind. They fully exceeded my expectations of what I was wanting for my friend. The cake was absolutely stunning and perfect. Happy tears were cried. If I wasn’t out of state I would be buying cake and sweets here for everyone I know. While the cake appeared small in size it was a dense, rich flavorful 3 layers and could have easily fed several more people (and it in fact did as some of the staff at the restaurant we dined at got to enjoy some too!) The shop was decorated so adorable. Thank you again to the staff who made this cake, I truly can say enough what a phenomenal job you all did!

The fresh baked goods I got here were incredible. I had a cupcake with a strawberry filling one day (tasted like real strawberry, not artificial) and a cinnamon roll the next and both were absolutely phenomenal. The cinnamon roll has a lot of layers, like a croissant, and the icing was perfect. The coffee cake I got was a little dry, I'll admit, but it had a 'friday' sticker and it had been after they re-opened from their off days, so it may have just been out a while. The fresh goods were good enough to still give it five-stars, though. And they have great discounts around closing time!

The bakery items are amazing! Cookies, scones, tea cakes & muffins are perfect, not crumbly or dry and very tasty. Wonderful customer service, wide smiles, makes you feel like a valued customer. I only got takeout, but the store was quiet, with nice seating outside to people watch. I only wish I had taken photos of what I purchased.

If you plan on coming here, one thing you need to know, is that you'll be feeding the sidewalk kiosk for the time you spend parking in the street. This place seems to better serve the thousands of apartment dwellers in the immediate area due to its location. Once inside, you can choose one of six small tables to sit at or there's far more seating outdoors. They have some games and books to occupy your time by the door. I suggest you get here in the morning, because by the early afternoon it's slim pickins inside the cases. To be honest, many of the cupcakes seem to be pretty small in size and the peanut butter cookie we got for $3 was something I would never get again. Whatever you decide on, that tip screen will be waiting for you at the end. Not a bakery I'd add to my "go to" list unless I lived next door. ***

If you're in the Lake Mueller/Thinkery area, Quack's Bakery is a great spot for a quick coffee and pastry before an early morning walk. I grabbed a drip coffee and a pastry, both delicious! Street parking is easy if you're there early on a Saturday. The line can get long and slow, especially with families in tow, so bring some patience. Definitely a family-friendly spot with a relaxed vibe--perfect for a morning treat!

Sunday morning I went in to this bakery and normally it's great service. Today however a tall woman with dark frame glasses Took my order at the counter. I asked her if she could add Splenda to my coffee and she rolled her eyes and told me there's a counter with Splenda. I explained that I'm disabled. It's obvious but see didn't seem to notice. Then she told me to go around the counter and get my coffee. I couldn't reach it so I asked her to come around the counter and she held out the coffee and dropped it on my lap spilling it all over my jeans. I asked her to please give me some napkins and she rolled her eyes and threw some napkins at me. Then she walked away. I don't know what her problem was.

Such a great spot in Mueller! I love to come to Mueller and go on walks, and I will sometimes stop here for a quick cup of coffee or a small bite to eat. The other night, my partner and I decided we were in the mood for a sweet treat, and oh my goodness, this is my new go-to for carrot cake!! It was surprisingly easy to find street parking when we went, and we were able to quickly order our slices of cake. I was pleasantly surprised with how many options there were, despite it being later in the day! Service was attentive and quick. There was only one person there working the front, and they answered all of our questions and served us quickly. Very friendly! I will absolutely be back! See attached for photos of the space. This is the best bakery I have ever been to. The service is so great, along with amazing food. The decor is A+! I love it so much, I will definitely be coming back.

Went here for a coffee and breakfast while in Austin. Recommended to me due to multiple vegan options. They did have quite a few but would have been nice to see some vegan breads. Didn't want a cupcake for breakfast despite what the pillow said lol. Sat here for a bit and charged my phone. Nice ambience and service was stellar

Pre-farmer's market coffee stop on a Sunday morning had me visit this adorable Cakery. With plenty of baked goods to choose from and unique coffee recipes, I was delighted to have stumbled into this shop. The staff was kind and chipper and the atmosphere was bright and pastel. They have books for adults and children to borrow from their library and a drink station where you can dispose of plastic cups and silverware as well. Their almond croissant wasn't as buttery as some others I've tried but the almond paste flavor was nice. I order a hot honey latte but the spicy syrup was very mild so it seemed like a normal honey latte. I would go again with some friends for a coffee date for sure!

Love this place! Really fresh and quality pastries, cakes, cookies! Love everything i have ordered. Have great variety of teas and coffees. Now conveniently open every day and I so appreciate it!

Super cute and delicious cupcakes. I loved the mini burger one, perfect for a fun birthday gift cake! The bread has a rich/sweet fluffy consistency. Cute place at mueller.

Service - 1/5, was not greeted Food/drink - croissant was good but they never offered to warm it up. Matcha was terrible, there is no sweetness to the drink, it just tastes like chalk water Ambiance was nothing spectacular - 2/5

Love their Mueller location! Amazing service, great selection, and an iced water pitcher set out! I got the iced peppermint mocha latte with soymilk - 5/5 and reasonably priced at $4.75 for a 12oz. Highly recommend stopping by for a yummy coffee drink or sweet treat!

I think it depends on what you get here. While there I did see a lady decorating cookies. Those are probably fresh. We got croissants which was a huge mistake. I can't tell when they were made but they were at least a day old if not more. Extremely stale and dry.

Cute little place for dessert or to work for a bit in the middle of Mueller. Service is a little lackluster but the pastries are good and the coffee is decent.

I needed a last minute ready made cake and just happened to walk by this bakery and decided to check it out. I walked in with zero expectations and left with the best chocolate cake I've ever eaten. It is so fudgy, not too sweet, perfect ratio of cake to frosting. I am typing this while eating the cake out of the box with a fork at 11pm. I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt compelled. I am addicted to this cake.

Accidentally found this place while we were at Mueller park and it was amazing. I was craving some cupcakes and they delivered. We got the cheesecake and red velvet mini cupcake and both tasted delicious, the crust of the cheesecake one tasted different and was richer and almost toffee like. The red velvet was moist and sweet just the right amount. I can't wait to be back for those danishes because they looked so so good.

This Cakery is adorable! The Pina Colada cupcake was amazing!! The Nutella fingerprint cookie was also delish! The kind women working offered my little one an adorable, unique rubber ducky!

Although the aesthetics of the shop were cute and there was a pitcher of water available, I was a little disappointed because I expected more of a favorite of treats from which to choose. Also, the cupcakes had been kept refrigerated for too long which made the buttercream frosting difficult to eat. One saving grace was the lemon curd that oozed out of the Lemon Blueberry cupcake unexpectedly.

Greta place to stop in for a quick pastry! I am in love with their pumpkin cream cheese muffin, it's so soft and moist and has the perfect balance of spices. I've also tried their danishes which are flaky and buttery.

I got the white mocha iced coffee and it was really good! The turkey and Swiss croissant was delicious. I do wish when they say "warmed up" it was actually warm. But service was quick and when you walk in, you just feel relaxed. Definitely recommend!

Sister bakery to Quack's! Love this cute spot in the Mueller area. Checked this place out from the Too Good To Go app, to reduce food waste. Left with extras! Got some coffee, huge vegan PB choc cup, and key lime pie. Everything was delicious and it was so hard not to buy everything. Friendly and helpful staff to lead you in the right direction of what you're hankering for.

Decent bakery but I was disappointed by the custom cake I ordered for my kid's birthday last year. The filling was incorrect and when I emailed them about it, it didn't seem like they cared that they made a mistake and they didn't offer a partial refund or future discount or anything (I didn't ask either). The decorations were also pretty basic and the cake wasn't any better than HEB. I wouldn't order a custom cake from this location again.

They were incredibly rude and wouldn't let me order to go with my dog in line. He's an ESA but I didn't want to make a fuss about it. Everyone in the shop wanted to pet him too. No idea why they can't be like every other coffee shop and be dog friendly. Lost my business for good.

Terrible will not go back. This place has been getting worse for the last year. Quacks the original is still good. I know the cinnamon rolls are dry but these really feel more like stale and the Danish was stale as well. The latte was like a cup of warm milk with little coffee in it. The cappuccino was okay but nothing special. And don't even think about the eclairs. They're about the size of a short number 2 pencil.

After i posted the review, the manager called me. So what, didnt fix anything.. wasted more of my time..

Going into planning my recent wedding, there was one things that we knew for sure: we absolutely love Quack's and wanted to have it be a part of our wedding day. We not only ordered our wedding cake from them but also ordered an entire dessert bar from Quack's: brownies, pies, cookies, you name it and they made it for us. Everything was so amazing and beautiful! Our guests still bring up how much they loved it, and if I had to plan again I would do everything the exact same. They were also wonderful to work with and helped us get to a mix that we loved. Highly recommend!

We love Lady Quack's! It's a fun place to grab an iced oat chai and pastry before taking a walk around the lake. The pastry options are plentiful and include various cookies, croissants, muffins, and more. The cake and cupcake options are tasty too. Honestly, the only downside is they're not open on Mondays which is always when I want to visit But loading up on sweets on Sundays is no hardship so it's all good. Check them out! Oh and pets aren't allowed inside (thank goodness) but are ok on the covered patio outside so Lady Quack's is a good place to take your pet for some shade and rest after walking around Mueller.

I love Quacks. My go to spot! You definitely need to try the carrot cake cupcakes and lemonade.

Almond croissant and blueberry muffin. Neither were as sweet as I would've liked, but overall good. Had a pina colada cupcake and it was the same. Personally; would prefer a touch sweeter all around. Service was great though.

Extremely unwelcoming staff, mediocre coffee, and overall not worth it. Such a bummer. I love the original Quacks. You're better off going there instead.

Hats off to Makeda and Della (and the gentleman too--Tony? Cory? Sorry mate, I forget your name). So, we go here often since we live close by. I bought some cookies a few days ago but noticed one of those was missing when I got home. I call them and Makeda admitted they had forgotten to put is in the bag, and if I wanted to swing by to get it or get a credit. I opted to swing by but never made it back. Well, several days later (today), I stop by for some tacos and casually mention the "lost" cookie. Della simply asked me which one it was and just gave me one. There was no way for her to know I was being truthful--I actually pointed that out and she said, "Well, we are are about building community". Sure, the cookie was a couple bucks, but it isn't about the money as much as it is about culture and humanity. And, these folks excel at those two things (and many more, I'm sure). No wonder our family is here multiple times a week. Amazing people. And, great tacos/cookies/whatnot.

Celebrated our daughters birthday next door at the Thinkery in Austin and needed to grab a small cake and some cupcakes for our group of 15. Was very pleased with how nice and friendly the staff were - everything came out perfect and they even gave me some cookie kits for the kids to decorate. Really appreciated it! Kindness goes along way these days at sadly it's rare. Thanks for making our 2 year old's birthday special.

Quack's is one of my favorite dessert places. Their Key Lime Pie is the absolute best - watch out Key West. Needless to say, I was very happy to hear that they opened a new location. Although I like the original simply because it is - well - the OG, the new one definitely seems more planned out on the decoration side. It's like if Quack's underwent a makeover dressing up for a fancy ball. I didn't notice much different about the quality of pastries served. Many options and just as tasty from the ones I've tried.

Stopped in today for a snack and wasn't disappointed. I had my favorite flavor cupcake .. Chocolate peanut butter. I also trod a unique seasonal beverage called the apple-chai-der. Apple cider with Chai! The staff was friendly, the cupcake and drink awesome!

My husband ordered me a chocolate cake with almond buttercream icing for my birthday, and it was delicious and gorgeous. :) We were so happy with the cake that we ordered another one for our anniversary. Also, the bakery team was very responses to our emails/questions.

I stopped by lady Quackenbush Cakery today after an afternoon at the Thinkery with my son. My son picked two cookies that were decorated with royal icing and I chose A peanut butter cookie, a chocolate chip cookie, and two of the Czech almond cookies. My kids were happy with their simple sugar cookies decorated as peeps. I found my peanut butter cookie to not even taste like peanut butter. It was dry and maybe stale or something but not very good. The Czech almond cookie also tasted pretty stale. I didn't find the space inside as inviting as quacks in Hyde Park. It just kind of seemed like a space that you run in to grab a cake but not sit or hang out. I didn't love it and I wouldn't make a special trip back there but I would probably let my kids choose a cookie if we happened to be in the area.

This is my first time coming to this location and I absolutely love this place! Staff is super friendly and their bakery is amazing. They also make macaroons in this location and will want to try them in the future

The Cupcakes here were delicious, great ambiance and right next to the thinkery in Austin, a sweet treat after a fun festivity. I had the mint chocolate cupcake and it was on point. Will definitely come back again!

This is a great place to stop by for a treat if you are in the area. They have very reasonable pricing for their delicious baked goods. There is limited socially distanced seating outside and they are following all COVID-19 safety protocols. I ordered one of their savory croissants and it was the perfect breakfast for me. If you are going for something sweet, my roommate has visited multiple times and is obsessed with their chocolate croissant roll.

Went to see what the hype was, tried a variety and most were dry and tasteless. Cheesecake was good, too bad it's a limited time item.

I could have sworn I wrote a review for this place! The staff are very friendly. Like, between them and the ambiance, total pleasure go here. Since I just moved here I'm a lapsing vegan, so I suppose I'm a flexitarian. Just wanted to provide that context. On the vegan front I've tried four vegan options, and I'd rate them in the following order: 1. Vegan Chocolate Ganache Cupcake - never could guess that it was vegan. Moist and delicious. I've become addicted to them. 2. Vegan Chocolate Muffin - same story as with the cupcake. Totally dangerous. 3. Vegan Vanilla Cupcake - It was fine. It either aged super fast or was never great to begin with. 4. Vegan Peanut Butter Chocolate Cup - This was just disappointing. You could make better yourself or just buy Justin's. For non-vegan options, I've had the croissant, the mocha chocolate cupcake, the peanut butter cheese cupcake, and I could swear one more option, but literally every option was great. For my birthday I can pretty well guarantee it will be from here. I feel really lucky to have found an awesome place so nearby.

What a cute little place! This was my first time to the Mueller area. It's a great spot. We went to the movies then decided to walk around. Saw there's an ice cream shop but also read there was a bakery around the corner! We decided on the bakery and weren't disappointed. Honestly I ordered a scone because of repeatedly hearing about scones on Curb your enthusiasm. :) the scone was dry and delicious-- nothing like a muffin haha. My boyfriend enjoyed his pie too! We'll return and recommend this place to others.

I'm not sure if I just got a bad cake but I was visiting my sister for her birthday and stopped in to get a cake on a Sunday. I got the vanilla bean cake and it looked pretty but it was dense and very heavy. The texture was weird, not fluffy and moist as I expected. The kids didn't even eat the cake. The cookies, however were good and were nicely decorated.

This is the third time I've tried to enjoy my visit and it will definitely be my last. The place is filthy and the woman who works in pastries behind the glass separating the restaurant/cafe from her work space is a sourpuss. No smiles, no joy in what she's doing. The lacksadaisical attitude is infuriating. There are gross crumbs and pieces of cake in between the slates that are the seating area, the tables were filthy indoors and out. NO thank you. We need a better cafe in the neighborhood.

First time custom cake order for us. And high stakes - husband's retirement party. The price was probably 50% more than I expected, but I went for it. And it was better than I could have expected - decorations we requested were very simple, but they took it to the next level. The patch images were 3D - very cool. And the cake was de-licious. Couldn't be happier. Will be back soon.

The best neighbors to have! This place is so good! I've tried a handful of things from them, including a cake for a birthday and everything is so moist and delicious. The cookie dough cupcakes are like heaven in cupcake form. They give you a good size portion of everything and nothing breaks the bank. Where else can you get a cookie for $2? The staff is super sweet. My favorite breakfast item is the almond croissants because I love the paste in the middle (most places don't do a paste in the croissants os these are not dry at all)! Their hours are great too they are open super early 7 am, earlier than most places and close late enough that you can grab something after dinner still. Love the open kitchen so you can see them baking all day long, kids love looking into the kitchen too! So happy quacks opened up in the hood. Stop in you won't be disappointed!
