How to Make the Best Vegan Cheese Fondue at Home | Eater
"At one of the group's vegan restaurants, the executive chef has developed multiple vegan fondue recipes, including an off‑menu artichoke‑and‑chardonnay version, and advises starting with a cashew‑based cheese for ultimate smoothness while avoiding cheeses with high moisture that can separate when heated. Flavor components favored by the chef include lots of shallots, freshly ground pepper, and white wine, and he recommends gentle, controlled heating—ideally over a double boiler and slowly—to prevent graininess or separation." - Amy McCarthy
Le Sel French Restaurant Opens With a Classic Bistro Menu in Banneker D.C. Hotel | Eater DC
"Perched atop the hotel, a rooftop bar dubbed Lady Bird is expected to open later this summer and will feature fire pits, lounge seating and views of the White House and Washington Monument." - Eater
Such a charming coffee shop! The coffee is fantastic, and the scones are absolutely to die for, though be warned, they’re quite large! I ordered the lemon blueberry, and my husband tried the cherry lime; both were delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly, and it’s the perfect spot to grab a coffee before heading into Ouray for the day. Highly recommend!

This place is a vibe! A good vibe! Lovely people, and customer service. Delicious coffee and breakfast. The gluten free options are great. It was so busy (because it's so good) but customers seemed to be taken well care of despite the business. And it has such a fun atmosphere, tasteful decorated, I could go on....

Wow Ladybird was such a great stop on our trip. The staff was incredibly friendly and ON IT. They had great pastries, awesome breakfast burritos, and spectacular coffee. Only wish I took a pic of the burrito and large delicious scones.

I've heard a lot of good things about this place and decided to stop in...not sure what the hype is all about. My brownie is practically flavorless. I can taste a hint of dark chocolate but the maple on top is practically non-existent. I had asked for a sweet mocha. I feel like I've received a black coffee with some dark chocolate thrown in. Very bitter. I know people will disagree with my review but unfortunately I do not have positive feedback to give on this one.

Such a cute spot! It’s now my favorite weekend routine. I’ll bike there on back roads, have a cappuccino, a pastry and a snack. The only problem is all the food is so good I’m stuffed by the time I get back on my bike!
Their coffee is great, the pastries and bread are killer and hot food is very delicious.

Im so glad that this building is open again and that its a coffee shop/bakery/restaurant! They have the most decadent selection of breads and pastries. I had to buy the sourdough! I was surprised by the selection of food and toasts that they had. It’s clearly a local fave because there was no indoor seating. They have a decent sized area to sit outside as well and they’re pet friendly which is a huge plus! The staff was really helpful and friendly. Definitely check them out on your way to the San Juan’s! Cheers!

This place is cute and the coffee is great, but swarms of flies are all over the food and buzz around your head as you try to enjoy your coffee, and that turned me, my husband off from returning. I wish they could do something about the flies because we really like this place. Been a few times but just can’t stand watching the bugs crawl all over the food, which they mostly leave out and uncovered.

Yelp
I am the owner of Chloe charcuterie & Wine in Ridgway, Colorado. We've been getting our Focaccia and French breads from Ladybird since we opened last February, and they are absolutely wonderful! The quality is always fantastic, their flexibility in ordering and being able to work with an ever-changing schedule is amazing! Heather and her team are the best!

Yelp
We've stopped in two times on our visit to Montrose this year and both days we came home with lots of delicious treats. The green chile scones were our absolute favorite. Everything we had was delicious and we look forward to visiting again in the future.

Yelp
My wife and I got breakfast burritos and coffee here on our way out of Montrose a couple of weeks ago. The food tasted great and was hot and very filling. The staff were friendly and service was quick.

Yelp
Amazing, got 2 cookies for the price of one, because one cookie wasn't perfect. Great business owner and delicious treats!
