Ladybird has been on my Nashville taco bucket list since it opened, and it was worth the wait. I'm a new vegetarian, and usually taco joints have a couple of options. At Ladybird, I was inundated with SIX! I'm very indecisive when it comes to food, so it took quite a while to narrow down to my three: the #5 (egg, refried beans, avocado and potato), the #10 (grilled queso fresco, rajas, cabbage and pico) and #13 (black beans, marinated corn, cabbage and patron mayo).
All three were delicious, but the #10 and #13 were fighting for the top spot. I loved the unique flavors of the grilled queso fresco paired with the cabbage and pico. The patron mayo on the #13 was so good as was the marinated corn, which was right off the cob.
The #5 was good, too, but it was more of a standard breakfast taco, which you can never go wrong with.
The three self-serve salsas were amazing and elevated all three of the tacos (it's fun to mix and match). I also tried the chips with queso and guacamole -- delicious. And I'm so glad I tried the cinnamon chips. It was the perfect end to the meal.
I still have three vegetarian tacos to try -- plus a few other menu items, so I will definitely be back soon.
