"Sure, LadyLove is a club with themed dance nights and vinyl DJs where all the cool young people go for a night out. It is also a bar with a great cocktail program. Drinks on offer change regularly, but most recently, some solid orders are the Hollaback Girl (Havana Club dark rum with a brown butter “phat” wash, banana, and allspice) and the London Tipton (Tanqueray 10 with earl grey and an orange lavender foam). Parking, especially on weekends, is paid valet in the lot just outside or driving around in circles waiting for a street spot to open up. There is often a cover after 8 p.m., so going early if you’re just here for some drinks is a good call." - Courtney E. Smith, Kevin Gray

"Where are the cool kids brunching? This is it. Pop in for brisket hash, huevos rancheros, or the stuffed chicken and blueberry waffle sandwich — and more on a menu created by Taco Y Vino head honcho Jimmy Contreras. Naturally, there are cocktails, and we’d go for the Disco Bubbles, which is Cava with a selection of juices for the table." - Courtney E. Smith

I don't understand the 4 and 5 star reviews. I've been here twice, I will not be returning. I was floored to see my tall Tito's and soda in an 8oz highball glass as $19, with their automatic gratuity, I paid $24 for one drink. I left feeling like I was taken advantage of. Service, isn't even that great. I talked to others about their tabs, they too felt overcharged. Not my kind of place. It's definitely a wanna-be bougie place. I don't enjoy the feeling of being robbed after leaving. Also, It's too small of a space for the amount of people they let in. I still don't know what the inside really looks like because the times I've gone, were just too packed. It's definitely not worth it. I will stick to my normal spots where I can get a at least 2 or 3 drinks and enjoy the friendly bartenders and patrons, and be able to sit or move around the place at my leisure.

I heard about this place in a blog and said it was where "cool kids" go, so decided to give it a try. We stopped by for brunch, which is served only on Sundays, the menu is a bit reduced but every dish is carefully designed so everyone of us were very satisfied. The decoration is like vintage/retro, and there was a DJ playing music with only vinyl records. To drink we got the Disco Bubbles which is basically a whole bottle of sparkling wine and it includes juice (unlimited) so you can make your own mimosas. To eat, I got the Stuffed Chicken Blueberry Waffle, it was a very interesting combination of flavors, I liked it a lot. My partner got the Brisket Hash which came with peppers (including jalapeño so it was a bit spicy), onions and a couple of Sunny side up eggs, it was very good as well. The service was fast and prices are accessible. Plus it's a great spot for cool pictures

My friend and I stopped in to check out the vibe. I heard it gets packed on the weekends when the DJ is playing. Unfortunately, no DJ was playing when we dropped in. 😕 I loved the ambiance and decor. We had already eaten, so we didn't get a chance to try anything on the menu. We opted for a couple of drinks. Our server was polite and attentive. We will definitely be back.

Great place to stop in have a drink, do a meet n greet, date night, or just get your groove on. The staff is professional you don't have to hold your hand up to get their attention to get a drink. They are attentive to your needs. A must stop n see place if you're in the Bishop Arts District. Tell them Van sent you and they'll say who? 😂 Hey they even have bottle service for you uppity people

An absolutely beautiful spot with beautiful and welcoming staff. A place I didn’t know I needed. A place that’s great to lose yourself in. Everyone that works at this establishment is kind and hospitable. DJs are always on point. Love visiting during the weekdays for a more chill atmosphere where I can enjoy a cocktail and great music. Weekends are definitely packed, but where you want to be when you want to experience dancing, good vibes, great music, and great cocktails. Time is both frozen and moving fast at the same time. This place is a gem. An ode to a time in the past I never thought I could experience. I’ve come here both alone and with friends and have always left with a warm feeling. Heather has been my favorite person on staff to have met. She’s funny and bubbly and has a way about her that makes you feel welcomed and loved (by a stranger nonetheless). This is a spot I bring everyone to and recommend to everyone. CDMX is my favorite drink and the mushroom sliders, with or without beef, are to die for.

Google
went to go see a dj set, great door control because the place is TINY, did have to wait in line approx 20 minutes but not sure if that’s the usual situation. good drinks, try the purple rain! gets crowded but not rowdy

“LADYLOVE” Where passion meets excellence! As a designer of hospitality, and entertainment venues, I’ve experienced more than my share of owners with no real direction, concerned more with their personal likes, than what the clients crave. Not Ladylove; from location, to its retro decor (complete with dance area), ample seating, craft cocktails, comfortably priced, unpretentious cuisine, and magnificent, (owner supervised) staff; attending your needs while you enjoy the sweet sounds of DJs spinning vinyl nightly are paramount at Ladylove. The rotating theme nights, offer the diverse clientele, an opportunity to be transported to that perfect era, and genre of music, their inner groovy, so desire. Although the address is on 7th st, the entrance, and patio seating are, off the large public parking lot around the corner; which makes entering, even more convenient. It’s a popular spot; the line to the restroom can be a bit, Plan early! See you at the bar, and make sure you take fabulous photos! Xoxo Lorenzo

Yelp
Ladylove is the ultimate gem in Bishop Arts! I've been here multiple times and every experience has been nothing short of amazing. The vibe is always eclectic and fun, and the vinyl selection is top-notch. But what really sets Ladylove apart is the the staff they are so welcoming and passionate about music, drinks, food.... Oh yeah, there's food... specifically, the GREEN BEANS. Hands down, the best in all of Dallas! I mean, who would've thought that a bar would serve the most incredible green beans you've ever tasted? Lol The Bring Your Own Vinyl (byov) nights are a highlight, it's incredible to see people sharing their favorite records and discovering new sounds together. And the themed nights? Always a blast! The drinks are crafty, the atmosphere is cozy, and the music is always on point. Whether you're a vinyl aficionado, a foodie, or just looking for a unique spot to hang out, Ladylove is a must-visit!

Yelp
Check the calendar for the vibe you want before going. I went on neo soul night on a Tuesday. I returned on a Tuesday and the music was different. But still a cool spot. Free to get in. Lite bites and good drinks.

Yelp
I was strolling around the Bishop Arts area and followed loud music to LadyLove Lounge & Sound. I found LadyLove tucked away in a corner behind the main street. The entrance wasn't very obvious to me since it was covered with curtains, but once inside I was pleased to find a fun-looking lounge. What's cool is that each night featured different DJs playing different genres. On this particular night, there was an EDM DJ who had quite the local following. Bartenders were fine. Not the friendliest bartenders I've ever met, but bottom line was that my drink (CDMX 1920) was made well. I ended up making friends with a couple of patrons, who were there to support the DJ. We shared bar bites including cheesy chicken nuggets and French onion dip. The cheesy nuggets were surprisingly very good. The French onion dip tasted exactly as I expected - like a chunky French onion soup. It came with a plate of fresh veggies and toasted pitas.

Yelp
I have been wanting to come here for a while. All of my dj friends have have played here, but never got a chance to come. It was a Friday night and it wants to busy by the time we made it in. We instantly got served at the bar. The drink was alright, and very pricy. The dj was playing funky 70s music. Everyone was sitting down on tables even though there was a dance floor. WE tried to dance, but was hard to dance to slow 70s music. Overall, it wasn't my vibe, so i May not come back. If you like funky 70s, this place is for you.

Yelp
Tuesday night visit December 2023 Neosoul night, as promoter via their Instagram. Go find & Follow. Dj's : Fab_roc_ & Djchubbeswag 8:00-12:00 (I stayed until around 10) It was a vibe all night. I walked in to some old school music. Think Lenny Williams type music. Parking: There IS a lot right outside of the establishment. However, I parked in front of Barons Creek Vineyards (from the way I was coming, that restaurant and Lady Love were on my right side). It was a short walk. And no parking meter. There was a sign for that area, but I forgot what it said. It didn't apply-- Ambiance: dim lit. music wasnt too loud where you couldn't hear others. Solo outing friendly. Healthier crowd after 9:30 pm- more chatter because people are standing up due to no seating. Inside: Smaller, cozy. Limited seating. Those arriving late-- please understand you will be standing up. Seat yourself. Limited tables. I got there at 7:55 for an 8:00 vibe. There were 3 tables available. People did leave once the music shifted, though. If you arrive around 8:30-9:00, you may have to stand up / hover around for a seat. One waitress (it did take a little while to get my order taken. Who I assumed to be a manager or owner did step in and help the waitress with waiting tables. They needed one more person, I believe, to help with the crowd. Drinks/food ordered : In tongues 3/5 -$12 wouldn't reorder. There was something overpowering the drink. If I did re-order, I would ask for 1/2 ounce more of the peach Monin, and less of the tea. La Tona 4/5 $11 wouldn't have to have again but I would. It was the best drink for me for that night. Cute champagne glass. Purple rain $14 Absolutely not. I sent it back. The toasted coconut-- I should've known better. If lotion had a taste, it's that. Ordered a Lemon Drop as a replacement. $10 well plus $3 flavor. $13. I wouldn't reorder this. 2.5/5. It tasted like something watered down was mixed into it. Food: Pesto Sliders (3) $15. I put the pesto on the side. I would re-order, but I'm probably coming here next time after I eat somewhere else. I was VIBING ALL NIGHT. songs like "Freak like me" Adina Howard, "Sitting up in my Room" Brandy, "When I see you" Fantasia, "Never too much" Luther Vandross, "Superstar," Usher, "Candy Rain," Soul for Real" a good mix- not all Neosoul but good nonetheless. Around 9:45 they started playing songs I wasn't familiar with. Cons: People came in smelling like weed. I really hate that.. truly. But that's not the Lady Love's fault. What I would do next time: Opt to sit on stage (but not directly under the sign- so I won't be in everyone's pictures). This way, when it gets late and more crowded, people aren't standing right beside my table Try other drinks-- even ones not on the menu. Arrive 10-15 minutes before start time for seating Bring a friend to share the vibe. I'll be back !

Yelp
Suppppppeeerrrrrr cute retro speakeasy! If you're looking to step out on a whim with your girls, have good drinks, dance to 70's vinyl and go home at a decent hour, this is it!!!! Seating is open so get there as soon as you can or you'll be standing! It's such a cure hidden gem. The drinks were amazing and they even had popcorn you can order. The decor is a dream and very nostalgic and who doesn't love to dance to a live DJ who's actually playing music from VINYLS while being mesmerized by a disco ball?!? I loved every moment of my experience. It's loud but to be expected and had a great mixed crowd! The only reason I gave it a 4 was bc it was hard to find, which may be intentional lol. Otherwise, perfect venue!

That's me O.

Yelp
Ok, so we'll start this review with the ambiance. The ambience is fun. The decor is quite nice to look at, you'll always find something picturesque. Good job on interior. Now let's get over to service..this is my unbiased truth being that I've frequented the location and given it many chances because I know the ownership is great. The service is mediocre. Despite the gentlemen behind the bar that often will make sure you're okay and get you drinks at a decent time, they carry the bulk of the load. No knock on them at all! Hats off to them...but as far as the ladies go, you have to catch these ladies on a good day or they'll have a nasty attitude, put zero effort into your drink or ignore you til you walk away they'll show you some love sometimes but that's less likely than the latter. No matter if it's prior to a busy service or at the height of a busy service, it's often bad hospitality from them. Last visit, one of the staff named Ivy was so drunk she "forgot" my drink 3 times and every time I saw her she was chatting with what looked like a girlfriend that was a patron. I turned down another bartender making my drink just to see the time it would take for me to get my drink and it was 25 mins. After this, she almost charged us extra if it wasn't for my buddy noticing. This isn't the first encounter with her I've heard of from people I know or seen but that's for them to explain if they ever feel like it. Now for the drinks/ food. I've never had a bad dish. It's very simple. The drinks, I think I've read that they seem over priced for such an easy cocktail. But I can agree that it's the ambience and location that adds that tax. They're not bad as long as the right person makes it. I'd recommend management to tighten up that staff. Get the staff drinking under control and a refresher on hospitality / service industry etiquette. I've been in management and own multiple locations now, I know having fun with your staff or making sure they love you is always on your mind but sometimes you gotta be the boss in order to have longevity. this is just what I'd expect from my team or my management. Thanks

Talitha C.

Yelp
I LOVE every inch of this place. For the House music lovers that are familiar with Houston's "The Flat" the vibe is similar. The staff is jubilee, the music is absolutely fantastic and just what OC was missing. Every day there is a different dj that comes on set to soon some fantastic vinyl. I've been on almost every day of the week and it's all good. The decor is super cool and makes me feel like I'm I a. Swanky dance spot that has a laid back fun vibe. Ive had several different types of mixed cocktails and I still can't say I'm a super fan of them yet. I hope they are trying to find that right bartender. We've had some of the food items, popcorn is a little dry but hey at-least they got poppy corn. A few dips, nothing to write home about. So I'd say the entire music vibe is why I come the food is a bonus in the event that your hungry after that dance fest your about to have.

Yelp
Great new place! Music and atmosphere was amazing and our waitress Shonti was second to none. So welcoming and friendly! The fried green beans were great but would love to see a vegan sauce offered for them

Abigail G.

Yelp
Visited this bar on a Thursday night a couple of weeks ago and had such an amazing time! The drinks were good although they were out of a cocktail on the menu. Got there a little early so it wasn't crowded but as the night went out, the place filled up with people dancing and having a good time. Tried the popcorn and Al thought I do not like popcorn, I could not stop thinking about that popcorn for days afterwards. The service was great! The music was a vibe. Side note - I dropped my wallet and left it there on accident. The cleaning crew called me the next day to say they had found it and I could pick it up when they opened later that day. Thankful that they returned it!!! 10/10 highly recommend

Alexandra A.

Yelp
My drink tasted like chloraseptic but the espresso martini was good. The ambience was nice. Fiasco on trying to order food. First we were ordering five mins too early from the dinner menu but then waited five mins to be told they were going to serve the dinner menu then was too late to order from the brunch menu... so good luck trying food we just wanted a snack! Bartender said he would take care of our drinks but only took care of one so whatev... Finished our drinks and went elsewhere. Keeping this short but also why warn patrons about an ingredient in a drink that most don't care for. Why even serve it? Left puzzled and still hungry for food and drinks...

Carolina A.

Yelp
Went to check out LadyLove with a group of friends on their opening weekend and couldn't be more impressed! There's really nothing else like it in OC and if you're a fan of Double D's, you'll love it here. Not only were the vibes perfection, the bar staff had their routine down pat -- you would have never guessed it was only their second night open to the public plus full occupancy and a line down the block. The cocktail program is really unique (the Leather Daddy is so fun) and all the food coming out looked amazing. Can't wait to go back and try it on a more mellow weeknight!

Yana K.

Yelp
Very talented DJ was on Wednesday May 8th, soooo excited!!!!! Micah can't wait to come back to see him again !!!

Lizzie G.

Yelp
I did not realize the grilled cheese place had closed until I ended up here! Went later in the evening, around 9:30-10, and the place was already relatively busy on a Saturday night! Good music and alright drinks but I don't love smoke machines! Regardless, I'd definitely stop in again!

Samantha N.

Yelp
Stymied Dancing - Shepherded Fun Just be aware that some middle-aged "daddy" bartender might just denote you as being a person that's simply had "too much fun". "Girl, you twirled too damned hard - and for too long". You will indeed be cut off from drinks and actually run out of this establishment, if this particular "daddy" bartender deems you "not sober enough". Bless his little heart, what are his metrics? Obviously arbitrary, honestly, they don't matter, as "uncle" has been given unlimited access to "all things bar". And if they're now to tell us, "we've discriminatory rights", I can say wholly, "so do we, buzz killer. Pull your balls out of your purse, bartended at Ladylove - or you won't be blessed with our patronage any longer". And ultimately, we bid good luck to management, as they endeavor on this road with rogue representatives of their baby. -the people who were crucified for dancing alone

Christine L.

Yelp
My friends and I got together my girl friends' birthday and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I was able to get some amazing drinks and tried the Pesto Sliders and they were amazing! The service was great and they answered all my questions as well. I will definitely be back!

Allie A.

Yelp
They overcharged me, it has been three weeks since I originally contacted them and it still has not been resolved.

April B.

Yelp
Upon entering very rude behavior from all staff starting from the door guy. Very disappointing for the area. So many other establishments that are way more welcoming and accommodating. Drinks were juvenile and over priced. Felt like a back alley bar with a club vibe. Also they tried to overcharge us and luckily that was caught but not a cute look.

Lydia A.

Yelp
Love the ambient! Warm and cozy place! Live DJ in the house! Food was delicious and the service was in point! Coffee is not on the menu but they were kind enough to provide coffee!

Amon M.

Yelp
The vibe of this place is very relaxed. Good for dates, friend groups, etc. It is a good spot to unwind after work!

Jewls J.

Yelp
Only had one drink, waitress said they didn't have two of the drinks I wanted to try available. I got the CDMX drink and it was good and very strong. The ambiance is nice, great decor, art and lighting! Will need to return for live music.

Erik B.

Yelp
Have been to Ladylove for a couple of different Disco DJ nights and enjoyed both nights thoroughly. I cannot comment on the food because I was there later in the evening. From what I have seen their DJ Lineup is good just about every night. Might have to hangout in Oak Cliff more often at this place.

Harry C.

Yelp
Oh my gosh. We went on a week night. Very chill and sexy vibe. Had all their apps, and all were amazing. As well as all their drinks -just as good as their appetizers. Service was .

Evan S.

Yelp
Not going to lie, was very very excited about coming tonight and was very disappointed. These types of places in Dallas are just getting so annoying and frustrating. My friends and I showed up, and stood in line just like everyone else. The bouncer makes it known only 2-3 can come in at a time. We wait our turn patiently and politely. We get to the front, and the bouncer says 2 minutes. A group of 6 from the very back comes up to the front and they walk in, and all he says is I just work here. We continue to wait to go in. It's just wrong, and not how you treat people. It immediately turns me off and makes me not even feel worthy of being there. Do better, and make it fair and equal for everyone. I don't care who people are and who they know, they can wait their turn just like everyone else. I definitely won't be back.

Meosha Y.

Yelp
Super cute old school venue, the decor is fun and beautiful. The bartenders are nice! I went alone and quickly met lots of people to dance with. The cocktails were strong (I didn't order from the menu). Didn't try the food.

Andrew F.

Yelp
Vibes are always right, and the drink menu is expansive yet simple. What more could you ask for?

Madeleine T.

Yelp
A wonderful addition to Bishop arts district. Everything about Ladylove is fantastic.

Kate S.

Yelp
Danced with my girlfriends to all my favorite songs. Love the disco balls and the drink menu is fun. Favorite thing to eat is the Pesto Sliders... perfect amount and grease before drinking. Bartenders are friendly and locals. It gets busy so getting their early to grab a table is the best form of action if you want a lounge spot. Any time before 8pm is pretty solid. Fog machine makes the space feel like a different time. All in all, great spot to dance with friends. Check out their Instagram to know what music act or DJ is coming through, each night has different vibes and music. If you want that special lounge couch section talk to the managers, they hook it up.

Nicole C.

Yelp
Me and my friend were looking at the menu trying to get a drink and Lexi said we had to move to a table bc people were behind us. No one was behind us. We are also industry so the disrespect is ridiculous and we won't be coming back. Don't push away customers just because you're not busy! Entitled at its finest.

Yelp
More like no service. The place is small not for a large crowd. Ask for service and told they will be here shortly and no one else shows. Stopped a worked and asked if anyone works the area we are sitting in and told nothing but excuses that you only have 3 employees but I'm seeing 5 employees here. Then add to it we are sitting down and get told that they have the seats reserved for 5:30 and at 4:30 was told that the reservation party arrived early and we would have to move. I asked so have to move for a 5:30 reservation because they arrived early? Needless to say I'm still where I was sitting. If it wasn't for the event we are scheduled to be apart of and preform we would have walked out 10 minutes in. We will definitely not be back.

Bianca A.

Yelp
A great spot to have great drinks, good bites (those pesto burger sliders are so good), and listen to music from a variety of genres depending on the day. You can check out their Instagram to see the type of music each day. It's become a regular stop in our rotation

Patrick S.

Yelp
0 stars. Do not recommend. Waited at the bar for over 5 minutes. Was not even recognized after paying the premium cover to enter. Came in with high expectations for being a cool relaxed lounge vibe and was met with indifference. Was just outright ignored. Only come if you're a rich white girl otherwise you won't be appreciated.

Brianna K.

Yelp
I have been to LadyLove about 4 times. The only reason I keep going back is because I have yet to find another place with a similar aesthetic, which I really love. The service is so bad, out of the 4 times i've been there, I have only had one server who smiled and seemed to care. The last time I was there, we were not even greeted. The drinks and food are fine, but there's a lot of better places in Dallas to go to with better service and food/drinks. The decor is very cute though and is the only thing that makes me go back.

Allison D.

Yelp
Awesome vibes! Very hip and cool! Good people watching and different ages and demographics. You're going for a cocktail lounge experience and not a cheap, value drink. Be aware of that when you go there. Long lines exist when going later at night but will be curious on if that stays.

Amy M.

Yelp
Ladylove is incredible. Oak Cliff needed a spot like this! Great music and atmosphere, a diverse crowd, and amazing food and drinks. The staff is so kind. Best bar in all of Dallas!!!

Cittlaly C.

Yelp
My favorite days at LadyLove are the days Ash is picking records and making drinks! CDMX is probably my favorite cocktail on the menu. Tuna sliders are a must at least one a week. Amazing staff and great vibes!

Vanessa S.

Yelp
Had a good time here.... love it great cocktails n music ... feel like the old days with vinyl !
