I love this market so much! There's a huge assortment of vendors with everything from vegetables, herbs, meat, cheese, artisan breads, medicinals, and lovely craftsmen and artists! This market has all handmade items like jewelry, candles, woodworks and tons more. There's a Cajun jam every morning from 9-11am, shady oaks that cover the grounds, and it's located right in Moncus Park so it's really fun to bring the kids for a run on the playground and then to market for snacks and drinks! There's tons of prepared food~tamales, tacos, papusas, pot stickers, and breakfast sandwiches. Along with lavender lemonade, delicious coffee, and agua frescas!

Fun way to spend your Saturday morning! Nice ambient! You will find lot of vendors are there displaying fresh vegetables, fruits, snacks, juicy pork, fresh flowers and so more. Few of international vendors were there displaying Moroccan show pishes and Mediterranean food vendors were there too. The day I went there there ware musical members who were performing, made the market alive!

Great vendors!!!! Great Cajun and Creole music! There's a great candle-making chick out there with her mom--potent, STRONG AROMATIC scents!

Yelp
Love this adorable market! They had such a great variety of foods and goods! I was bummed that they close at noon but i definitely made it a point to go early so i wouldnt miss out!! Everyone was super friendly and i just love supporting small businesses! I am a sucker for baked goods so stopped by 3 bakery booths and everything was so good. Lucias Bakehouse was my number 1, their donuts....omg. I also grabbed candles from the moonlit path, dog treats from PJs jerky and designs and garlic olive oil spread from delizioseaux. I wish i could go back to their holiday market this week, but I'm just in town for the weekend. You definitely have to stop in whether youre just visiting or live in the area. Its dog and kid friendly with a great play area on the other side of the park!

Yelp
The stars of the show at this medium-sized food and retail market are the live Louisiana French music (9 fellas sitting in a circle playing an accordion, harmonica, etc.) and the stunning mossy oak that looms over all of the vendors providing impressive shade. Ample parking can be found in the grass and this market is very dog friendly with water bowls and all. Vendors ranged from artisan wood walking sticks and cookie dough varieties to a bacon booth and vendor specializing in middle eastern eats like tabbouleh, stew and halva (much lighter than the surrounding Southern eats like beignets). Prices were reasonable and there was a fun spirit in the air with free Santa rides on a Gator and trailer weaving its way around the market. The market is open until noon. I'm not certain if this is all year round (we were there the weekend after Thanksgiving). My only regret was not taking home a container of the halva (it's hard to come by in Indiana;).

Yelp
My wife absolutely loves the pecans there! These pecans I write about are from a local farmer, cannot remember the name but my wife buys them by 10 pounds at a time. She is a connoisseur of pecans.

Yelp
This is the best farmers market! The setting is perfect under some big live oak trees. All of the vendors and artisans are so friendly. Each offering a sample of their food items. So delicious and you will get a true taste of cajun and southern food. The best place to go shopping for a gift! Every saturday. Get there before 8 AM to beat the crowds.

Yelp
Today was my first time at the Farmer's Market at the Horse Farm and I loved it. There are a lot of passionate farmers and craftsmen and women here. There was a live band playing Cajun music and lots of good personalities there. I plan to go back on Saturdays, and on week days to walk the trails of the Horse Farm.

Yelp
The amount of booths here full of fresh produce, vegetables, handmade goods, as well as from scratch dinners was amazing. We were in awe of the variety and uniqueness of each booth we visited! So many talented people within each booth, you could stock up on all the groceries you need for the week, they have EVERYTHING!

Yelp
This is a great place to go on a Saturday morning even if you just intend to browse. The market is in the shade of some giant old trees so you stay out of the sun while you shop. The sellers vary from week to week so it's hard to say what exactly you will find there, but there is usually a variety of fresh produce and meats, fresh cooked food (just walking around and smelling the air will make you hungry) and artisanal goods. You can find home made foodstuffs, like jams and breads, as well as handmade goods like knives and jewelry. Prices vary by vendor and for the most part vendors only take cash, so head to the ATM before coming. Even if you don't find anything you want it's a fun experience just to go.

Yelp
The Horse Farm has a fairly high craft vendor to food vendor ratio, but it's a large enough market that you can get plenty of good things there. Best vendors: Bayou Farms, Henri's Bread, and Pasta a Mano I've given it only four stars (and don't go to it often) because they have a very heavy police presence and I don't particularly like to be directed where to park and stared at by policemen when I am buying my groceries.
