My father was the Executive Chef at the Waldorf Astoria back in the 1950's so I grew up on good food and I felt compelled to leave the best accolades I could find for Lafolia. Here it goes: We went to Lafolia with a group of 8 people and all 8 of us were thrilled with the service (nicest waiter and fast), the food, the prices (incredibly reasonable!) and the ambiance. We had meze plates as an appetizer and the hummus was smoky and very flavorful. The flatbread was so good I thought of placing and order to go so I could have it at home too. I ordered a side of roasted mushrooms and the Gem Salad - oh my just thinking of the mushrooms with the miso sauce and cheese makes my mouth water. They were in a clay pit and baked to perfection. Truly excellent. Let's talk about service and hospitality: Because my order of mushrooms came out ever so slightly late (like 5 minutes after my meal), they brought me a complimentary plate of exquisitely cooked asparagus with a delicious sauce - now that's hospitality! The bill was truly very, very reasonable. We all left very content. I loved this place and highly recommend it for couples, a party, a group for business, or even dining alone.
