Lagerhaus No. 5

#48 on the SE MI Brewery Discovery Tour. TURN THE MUSIC DOWN!!! It ain't a rock concert, the people in the back can hear it fine, in fact, it's all you can hear. We tried to converse, sitting two feet apart, and had great difficulty doing so. It's too bad because it's a really nice place. Open, plenty of seating inside & out. Long communal tables. The beer offerings are not many. Only five brewed in-house with three guest taps. There are several coolers with single cans & bottles available to drink on premises or take home. Mostly German but with Jamaican, Ukrainian, English available.

Came here for lunch, got the Gulasch Special with Spätzle noodles, it was very good! Came back for dinner, got the Jägerschnitzel and hubs got the Schnitzel Teller, everything was delicious. I really liked their sauerkraut. I'm so happy they have an Altbier!

Great beer selection. I tried two of their house made beers and they were fantastic! They also have a very large refrigerator case with beers from around the world that you can drink there or take home. It's a German style beer hall seating and a couple of TVs and a bar. The staff was great. They recently brought in Deutschtoit to provide German food and it is very authentic. Definitely put this place on your list of places to try. You won't be disappointed.

One of the newest and most amazing places to come in the Eastern Market area. This place opened up and is our absolute new favorite. Amazing selection of beer on tap as well as a fridge with an even bigger selection of bottles and cans in the fridge. Friendliest staff you could ever ask for can make any recommendations you need. Great German style beers, tasty German food and a huge fridge with bottles to browse. Good summertime place and they play sports on TV.

The atmosphere, fresh drafts and authentic German food (schnitzel!) make this place a gem. Music on Fridays.

Opening a business during coronavirus is extremely difficult. The beer here was great and Tuesday afternoon was the perfect time to come by! This brewery specializes in everything that isn't an IPA, a welcome change in the Metro Detroit scene. Their kolsch was great, and their porter, pale ale, and scotch ale were all exceptional as well. The front entrance was accessible, and the whole place has a lot of promise for once things are back to 100%.

I recently visited Lagerhaus No. 5 brewery and had an excellent experience. The beer was fantastic, offering a great variety and quality that exceeded my expectations. The service was outstanding – the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, making the visit even more enjoyable. The ambiance was perfect for a relaxing time after the market. I highly recommend Lagerhaus No. 5 to anyone looking for a great brewery experience!
