How is this hotel not ranked #1? After the overpriced closet we stayed at in Lisbon I was amazed at how large our room was. 2 balconies with 3 sliding doors. We had a side view room so we faced the side and back, which we found preferable to avoid looking at the cranes across the marina and it was quieter. We heard no noise with the doors closed on the top floor. Yes you have a view of the bus station as well but so what, look past it. We could see part of the marina and water as well as the entire back view. ||Beautiful beachy decor in the bright sunny room and lobby with light colored wood. Automatic push button shades blocked all light - a nice touch. Amazing free breakfast in a lovely setting with plenty of seats, good svc and both a la carte and buffet options. (Oatmeal with white chocolate and dates!) There is also a high end restaurant in the hotel for dinner but we didn’t eat there. ||My only suggestions would be put some privacy glass on the shower. As others have said it’s odd to have a shower just in the room with zero privacy. It would also be better to have 2 separate beds vs 2 mattresses on 1 wooden platform. If you’re not a couple you don’t want to sleep that close. :) Lastly, keeping the pool open past 7 pm would be a nice touch. ||We considered staying at Meia Praia but so glad we chose this. Extremely convenient to the bus station, old town, marina and boat tours (this was great considering we had to go to the blue fleet office more than once bc our tour was cancelled one day due to rough seas). Very pretty rooftop area with bar, heated pool, and lounge chairs/umbrellas with 360 view. ||I also want to single out the young woman with long, straight black hair who worked mornings. So friendly and helpful. Others were certainly nice but not as warm as she. So glad she was the one who checked us in!! And she was the most helpful with restaurant suggestions. (Unless you’re coming in winter, book popular restaurants before you arrive. We didn’t realize how busy things are.) So sad to leave!
