My wife and I spent two nights here in late June. Excellent location across from the marina and in walking distance to the largest beach, to the Old Town and the marina of course. Parking was a short walk away and not too bad finding a spot.||Excellent breakfast as in many hotels. The pool on top was nice to have, though not a ton of chairs, but it still didn't pose an issue.||The room configuration was flat-out bizarre. You open the door to the room and you are staring at the toilet (frosted glass) and shower (UNFROSTED glass). So, if you are in the shower and someone comes to the door (I had requested an iron, and someone brought one up), when you open the door, the person at the door would literally be face to face with the person taking a shower! And if you use the toilet (which echoes loudly, so hopefully people sharing a room are quite close with one another!), you need to walk around to the other side of the room to wash your hands in the sink! It was so strange. Not a dealbreaker, but who the heck designed these rooms?? The shower water pressure was good. The AC was cranking, and the balcony facing the marina was nice. But overall, the room was a little crammed, not to mention laid out in such a strange way.||And now my criticisms. When you arrive at a hotel and it's too early to check in, and so you leave your bags in the lobby while you go out for the day, you kinda expect to have your bags waiting for you in your room when you get back to the hotel. It's something I'd expect at one of the more expensive hotels in town. But I guess there is no bellhop to do that. ||Similar to how there is no bellhop, there also is no true concierge. My wife and I wanted to go to one of the other beaches that was a short drive away. It was 11am. I asked the nice women at the check-in desk if we would have any issues getting chairs and umbrella at that beach, and she didn't think so. She then brought up an internet live webcam that showed half of the chairs being empty. Great! But then we get there and all of those still-empty chairs had been reserved!!! Now, one would say, "How would she know that?" Well, she SHOULD know that, as I am sure that happens every single day at that beach. This made a major negative impact on our whole day. Europe was in a heat wave and it was VERY hot not having an umbrella at the beach. Had we known this, we would not have gone to that beach, or maybe we would have stopped at the supermarket to buy one. Maybe she will read this review so she can advise guests better the next time. It was very disappointing.||Overall, a nice place to stay. Just be aware that chairs and umbrellas sell out FAST at the beaches during the summer. You can purchase a cheap umbrella at the supermarket to play it safe.
