From my past experience of renting apartments in the UK, Hawaii and Tahitti I felt I was treated as a guest. But, in here, I was regarded as a potential thief / burglar. I was required to carry out a detailed inventory check of every item and furniture like beds, sofa, tables, chairs, cooking utensils, towels, etc, etc. Some of the items are in fact firmly fixed to the walls! Such requirements are tedious, time-consuming (checking had to be done upon arrival and checking out and wasted much of my precious time.) Moreover, some of the items were missing and broken upon my arrival. ||Nothing was provided except a toilet roll.|| The cleaning fee did not include the cleaning of the kitchen, refrigerator, utensils…Furthermore, I did not receive the apartment perfectly clean but ridiculously, I had to leave it perfectly clean as stated in the instruction sheet.|| I had to make my own bed on arrival and strip the sheets off upon checking out.|| I had to take away the garbage and the used sheets and towels.||In my opinion, the above services, basic daily needs, e.g. soap, shampoo… should be provided for the convenience and full comfort of guests on vacation. Such cost could be reflected in the rent as necessary.
