I had a really mean craving for Hookah after having it a day before in New York City with my friends. My girlfriend ended up finding this spot and it was such a hit. I saw the pics of the hookah coming out of a Watermelon and knew I had to have it, so I got it. It was everything I hoped for and more. Absolutely amazing and never got dizzy or had a headache after (like the many I’ve had in New York). This was the smoothest ones I’ve ever had. I got a total kick out of the dude bringing us a tool to make bubbles. That was so much fun. Also, the food was DELICIOUS! Yum yum yum. They didn’t have alcohol which was slightly depressing at the time but honestly it wasn’t needed for such a great experience. The dude running staff was so nice too.

I don't understand how this place has good reviews?? Did I come on a bad Friday night? Pros: the place looks cool Cons: • the music was obnoxiously loud • they kept cutting off a song and played a different one of out nowhere. ruined the flow • charges $25 per person • the hookah wasn't that great. they were all pretty weak • service was bad. no one came by to clear the finished hookah or to change the coals. we weren't even given tongs. • they just kept bringing different flavors without asking us what we wanted • no alcohol Wasted my money here but now I know never to come back.

This is hands down the best hookah lounge in San Francisco. I've tried them all. The hookah tastes great and is made very well. Good crowd. The owner and the rest of the staff are awesome, friendly and accommodating. They play good music and have good food. Try the fries.

The worst hookah experience I’ve ever had. If this is first time you’re trying hookah - you’re gonna have a wrong impression and you will never gonna what to smoke it again. 100% 1. The place is NOT clean. 2. Hookah itself is Garbage. They use old hookah. And also some old Dirty towels with that Watermelon hookah( see photo ) 3. The hookah doesn’t smoke At all 4. Stuff doesn’t know what tobacco brand they use. Don’t go there!

This place is amazing! They have the best hookahs I’ve had. We had the Glass Hookah, lamb and chicken kebob with fresh lemonade. The staff is very attentive. We went on a Sunday night and it wasn’t very busy. Exceeded my expectations 🔥

It was alright. Entering fee is 25$, and you options. Having Food or hookah, and beverages are free unlimited which is really nice of them. I would go there again w group, it’s more fun

I liked this cafe. Great food and excellent service.The ambience was full of local culture with a happy buzz in the air. It does not get better than the Haight in SF. The water melon hookah was my favorite.The banana Nutella desert was fantastic.

Good vibes and great atmosphere. This is one the few places in the Bay that charge per person for hookah instead of per hookah. For $25 a person, you can get a hookah with unlimited refills. My only compliant is that their hookah isn't the best, it might have to do with the brand of tobacco they use (and the menu says tobacco-free hookah but I'm not sure how that works). Their fries are great but the past few times I've ordered a juice or a drink they've come very warm so it's not worth it-plus their juice is around $10. Overall, wouldn't recommend the food but would come for hookah and good music. They sometimes play Arabic music too which is a plus. I used to come here years ago and they used to have a deal where it was unlimited hookah with unlimited fries- I think back then the hookah was really good!

Laguna offers an incredible space for a late night hang out that's free of alcohol, but doesn't let the vibe or energy go down through a fantastic middle eastern and western play list. With an incredible menu of tasteful hookah flavors, constant service and attention, and a food menu to fill your cravings, laguna is such a good spot for a mid day or late night hang out.

Amazing flavors. Mint, watermelon and rose were fantastic. Customer service is also a 10/10. Overall vibe of the place was dope, great lighting, good music. Would recommend.

The best hookah lounge I have been to yet !! It's over an hour away from me, but if I lived closer this would be one of my most frequent stops. The vibe is top tier , the service was great, the music was so good and just added to everything else. We got 3 hookahs, watermelon in the watermelon(so fire and smooth), white gummy and sex on the beach. They were all so good. The place was nice and clean. The bubbles just added to the night! We had an amazing time. I will be back !

What a friendly, fun, and exciting local hub in the Upper Haight! I went to Laguna Cafe on a date after strong craving for hookah. It is important to note before you go: THE HOOKAH HERE IS NON-TOBACCO. I wish I had known that a little more from their website - i saw it on yelp and decided to still try. Otherwise, the staff we met were so attentive and awesome. They came around often, they refilled our coals on a regular basis. They noticed we were a little put off by the lack or tobacco and I think they brought an additional hookah with the watermelon base. The hookah was absolutely beautiful and tasty!!! No complaints there, felt clean and nice. The music was great! Definitely loud, the vibe the night we went was a mix of singles just smoking hookah, partiers, groups of friends, and dates. This cafe attracts a really fun and interesting crowd. We ordered some special tea, that was delicious with a dash of honey. We also ordered some amazing baba ghanoush - i had a but of a stomach ache and the herbs and flavors in this dish were very good! Made me feel better after eating than before. 4/5 wishing for a bit kore communication from the restaurant about what type of hookah is available, good experience overall

It's been 10 years since we first visited this place, and decided to try it again because the list of hookah places in SF is very slim. We walked in just after they opened on a sunny, warm afternoon. There was only one other person there, who I suspect is the owner or manager because my friend had seen the same guy on an earlier visit. We ordered the watermelon hookah (in an actual watermelon), and two waters. I still think it's odd they provide bottled water and not glasses of water. Keeps production costs down I suppose. Anyway, the hookah was much better than I remembered; very mild and easy to smoke, and it gave me that pleasant buzz. I enjoyed it. However...still had issues with the music. I know I'm older than most of their clientele so that may be part of it. At one point my friend asked them to turn down the music (at least he didn't tell them to get off his lawn). I didn't notice a difference, but about 20 minutes later the volume increased quite a bit. A f*ck you to my friend? Who knows. We struggled for another 10 minutes or so and then left. There were three other tables; two singles and a pair (but they were both on their phones and not talking. I don't know how they didn't have an issue with the music, it was truly that loud. Anyway, we left our hookah unfinished, and didn't order the second hookah we'd planned on ordering. Pity because this place is in the Haight, which we love visiting when we get together once or twice a year. Maybe next time we'll wear earplugs and text each other instead of talking.

Gave my girl a hookah while I'm there... asked for her instagram while I was in the bathroom! Don't take ur girl or wife there no respect and says we get a free hookah then charges me 25$ like bro come on! Bad service I will not go there and I recommend you and your friends and family to do the same. However Khalid himself wasn't there I've always had a GREAT REPOR WITH HIM BUT HIS WORKERS ARE TERRIBLE.

I went to Laguna Café last night and I have to say, it's such a nice hukkah bar! The place has a completely different vibe compared to other places I've been to. The music selection was on point, and it really added to the overall ambiance of the place. One thing I really liked about Laguna Café was the concept of paying $25 per person for one hookah each and unlimited refills. That's such a great deal, especially when you're with a group of friends! We ordered four hookahs in total, one with a watermelon base and the others with normal bases. The flavors we tried were sex on the beach, orange mint, bubble gum with mint, and guava with mint. We really enjoyed our time there and had a great experience overall. The service was top-notch, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend Laguna Café to anyone who's looking for a great hukkah bar with a fantastic atmosphere. I can't wait to go back!

this place, as my friend puts it, is a vibe. i had the falafel plate and while it was good, it had falafel, french fries, dolma, hummus, baba ganoush, pita bread, the works. but $25 is pricey. the hookah is good, when we were there there was a party with people dancing and other people just smoking and watching. service is a little slow but otherwise no bad notes.

I'll just put the short review good for vibe but the hookah doesn't taste good at all. They don't make the bowls right and the flavor really quick. The service is pretty good. Its just good for chillout or good vibe thats it. Wont recommend for hookah

Great tasting hookah, friendly service. Got a green tea and some fries (tasty). Music is mostly Arabic/middle eastern. They could mix it up with some hip hop, Punjabi, etc. Will come back for sure.

Found this place because the original hookah bar that I was closer too was closed. This place was clean and cute with an authentic atmosphere. Fadi was working alone and very attentive. I came with a large group so that says a lot. The hookahs that we ordered were definitely the best hookahs I've ever had outside of Israel. We ordered orange mint, watermelon mint, and a watermelon mint inside of an actual watermelon. The orange mint was my favorite flavor. Each hookah was very flavorful, lasted at least an hour, and had great smoke. Fadi even decorated the hookah with fruits, ice, and such things that elevated the experience. The music selection was perfect for a Saturday day time vibe and he will take requests so I thought that was nice. I did not order any food but it did look yummy. I plan to come back to try the food next time. Overall, my group had a great time, the service was beyond amazing, the hookahs were made to perfection, and I will definitely be back.

For the people that like hip hop music such as Drake, Sexy Redd, or Pop Smoke this spot plays new music like that. I personally can't vibe to Arabic music all night which is why I like this spot. Pretty expensive but if you and the girls wanna shake some ass and smoke hookah just pay the $25 per person lol.

Loved this place! Super hip in Haight district. We showed up around 1 and they close at 2, but let us stay a bit over. We ordered 5 hookahs with different flavors. My recommendations include the watermelon flavor, white peach, & white gummy. We also ordered food which was plated beautifully. Overall .. really good music, great customer service, energized crowd, and just a chill place to be with friends.

They didn't explain it to us that we needed to purchase one hookah each since we were already gonna be charged per person. We only got one hookah and by the time we were done we asked for our check. They finally gave us another hookah. We were already done, so we left. They need to explain it more thoroughly next time for the first time customers.

Went here on a whim on a late Friday night...had no idea what to expect. All I can say is that I definitely plan on going back. The staff were so accommodating and were the real hustlers. There were a couple of big groups in there (it was only us two) but the staff didn't make us a feel forgotten. I do hookah at home so this was only my second time doing it at an actual hookah location. The hookah was so smooooooth. The only thing I may be on the fence on is the music...it was a very diverse which was great...but the transition from song to song was a bit EEK! Although, it was a staff member playing music (ot a certified DJ, so they deserve grace on that. Other than that it was great, but really A+++ on the staff!!!

This was absolute perfect service. I never had to look around and I never felt our conversation was intruded on. Our server couldn't have been more helpful. Changing the hookahs every time we wanted a new flavor, refilling on autopilot, and adding hot coals whenever needed. A visit wouldn't be complete without trying the limon ment drink and there wasn't a time I sat there and didn't enjoy two tea pots of their awesome tea with honey. You'll go back here and those guys earn their tips. I'm going back.... Again. 5 Star There's a feeling of perfect satisfaction. It's found here. And the black tea with mint and honey is always worth getting. Only people wanting to whine could find a problem with this establishment

This ain't a cafe this is a club! We went on a Friday night and first of all it's $25 for unlimited hookah but that atmosphere is unmatched than any other hookah spot I have ever been too. The workers were the best we had to tip graciously because the service was on point! Only downside was there is no alcohol but they do give unlimited soft drinks and fries. I will be back for sure and I recommend this place if you looking to turn up

My husband and I have been coming here for 10 years. The hookah and vibe is great! The food is even better! I recommend the kabob and watermelon hookah.

Everything here is Overpriced here. First I had great Impression and atmosphere music was good, they will make you feel good and bring the food and extra hookah that you didn't order. Owner Khalid brought us one extra hookah and said this is free, wow. Wait. Be ready to pay at the end extra $$$$ when I ask why my bill is so high and we're is the bill details? owner Khalid said per person they are charging us $25 plus tax we were 3 person one of us didn't order anything still he charged us for 4. This is our last visit to this place.

Great late night hookah spot with plenty of classic games and comfy seating. There is really good mint tea and the hookah service is $25 a person for unlimited hookah.

Been a customer here since 2011 and I have never been disappointed. Amazing hookahs (they actually have specific hookahs designated for each flavor, unlike most places), great food, good music, very good prices, and a friendly/chill staff that go above and beyond to make sure you're enjoying your time there. I thought this place was great! Khaled, the manager is super friendly and entertaining. He comes frequently with refills and always makes sure we are all doing great. He provides a lot of better ways for the customers to smoke better and make sure each hookah is fresh. It makes you want to stay for sure. They also play great middle Eastern music which provides a nice atmosphere. I love the fact that there is free water or soda while smoking. They also give cups with bubble soap to enhance a fun experience by smoking out smoke bubbles! this was cool and very unique. They serve tea as well which is fantastic. I would like to come back again with friends to enjoy another evening.

I didn't like the place nor the neighborhood. The music was so loud and did not match the oriental ambiance. The food is average but meat portions are small. Service was average as well.

This place has the best shisha in the city imho and their food is fantastic! Every flavor I've tried has been fantastic and the people who work there are very nice. Only complaint is the super loud music. I'm a clubber and used to loud music but sometimes it's so freaking loud here it almost makes me not want to come back but I do because it's so good. Haha. Anyways I recommend this place and it's fun with a group.

This is a fun, genuine place - As a Deaf dude, I immediately felt welcome. They were easy to communicate with and took the time to make sure I enjoyed my meal. Shout out to Hugo, one of staff members who took the time to make sure that my baba ghanoush was satisfactory (it was delicious!). Loved the authentic, warm vibe of the place. That middle-eastern hospitality that's sorely needed these days - it's clear they take a real pride in their service. Definitely will be coming back!

BEWARE STAFF ARE PICK POCKET THIEVES PLEASE AVOID!!! Came here and server stole my phone. Had been here for about ten minutes when the server took our order and stole my phone as he took back the menus. Thanks to the find my iPhone app I was able to lock it through a friends phone. Unfortunately, these thieves had already put the phone on airplane mode so that it wouldn't be online. I then pressed them to see their security footage and as I was making my way back to their office they all of a sudden found the phone. They weren't smooth enough to turn off airplane mode which made the server and rest of the staff complicit. Please avoid this establishment.

I truly enjoyed my time here. The ambiance was wonderful, the customer service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious. The hookah was really delightful and the music was great! Kaleb really took care of us and we enjoyed every second. Will definitely be coming back.

Came here with my wife and a few of our friends about a month ago. We got unlimited hookah but each flavor we ordered tasted the same... like the smell of wet dog. If you're looking for a hookah bar, Arabian nights in the mission has excellent food and hookah.

Went there with some friends to get some food and hookah.. food was dry and not tasty. Tiny chicken skewers with some rice, and a "thought" of some salad was $25 !!! We ordered some water which we got, which ended up being a plastic bottle (0.33 liter) which they charged $5.00 for each!!!!!! Hookah is $25.00 - a person!!! So meaning if you share a hookah, which I tend to do with my friends, you end up paying $75.00. I've been to an uncountable amount of hookah places, but never ever have I felt so ripped off.

This place is so nice!!!!!! Everyone that works here is super friendly and they make sure you're having a good time!!!! We were greeted so nicely and offered anywhere to sit!! We sat down near the window in the couches, and from then, accommodations were matched! They have food which is awesome cuz most hookah places don't offer that!! The shawarma, chicken wrap plate, was delicious! And they brought over a basket of fries on the house!!! What a way for hospitality!!! The hookah was good was well! They even start it for you ( I amoke hookah out a lot. Some places don't have that) the free refills is a plus! Whenever we wanted a new hookah or refill, done!! Me and my friends were super comfortable here! The music was good, the people are good vibe!! For sure a party place on the weekends!!! I'm for sure going to keep coming here&!! With the service and vibe, I'm hooked. Bring your friends out here and enjoy the night!! Plus, they give you bubbles to play with your hookah which is so fun! Super instagram worthy! This place is amazing. Every time I have been here, i have had a vip experience. The servers are always great and i wish more people tipped them what they deserved because they work so hard. The owner is super lively and makes the lounge very fun. Please come visit if you're in san francisco. Amazing experience and fun place.

Without a doubt one of my favorite spots within the city. I've been going near two years but only started to frequent it within the last month. Staff is personable and friendly and speak Arabic which is a plus for those who may have that as their primary language. WiFi is quick and password can be attained by asking an employee. Bathrooms are typically clean and there's only one. Shisha, however, is amazing. It's packed well and is never too heavy, nor is it overwhelmingly expensive either. Last night I said I was interested in the coconut shisha and was swapped to that for no additional charge whatsoever. Regarding ambiance, I like when Laguna is slightly empty so I go on weekdays. Weekends are when it's way too crowded. All in all an amazing lounge and likely one of the best in SF.

Found this place in Yelp searching hookah lounge and this place was first in a Yelp search. Our server Khaled was amazing- full of energy and really attentive! I was shocked about 20$ charge per person with opportunity to try unlimited hookah! I'm from Orlando and we pay 30$ just for one regular hookah, which last in 30 minutes. Khaled recommend us to try watermelon hookah and , at first, I thought it will be hookah with watermelon flavor. But no! I was literally smoking hookah from real Watermelon!!!!! I've seen watermelon heads for hookah before, but I've never seen nothing like smoking hookah from actual Watermelon!!!!! After smoking watermelon hookah for 30 minutes, our server changed it for pumpkin hookah, which tasted great!!! Also, every 10-15 minutes hookah makers were changing charcoals, which was really nice!! Also, I was offered to try making bobbles from the hookah smoke and it was a cool experience!!! Overall, I feel like this place makes everything for customers to feel comfortable and appreciated. I was shocked about watermelon and pumpkin hookahs just for 20$ per person and how great it's tasted! Definitely will come back!!!!!
