Laguna Verde

Equally pretty, but poisonous, sister of the white Laguna Blanca in green (among other things because of the arsenic content so beautiful green; therefore no flamingos here). Light and colors as drawn by Dutch masters. Access as to the Laguna Blanca also over the Chilean border not difficult, but needs some time. Accommodation and meals in the nearby hut (Ref. Alto). This greenish coloured lake at the borders between Chile and Bolivia in the Salvador Dolly national park. The water is green due to the high copper content of the lake and we can see the greenish colour when the wind blows over at a particular area. Most of the time it is light greenish but with proper light and winds the waters turn green. Many Andean and Chele flamingos leave here

Beautiful green lake near Uyuni! The color are stunning, the contrast of the pink flamingoes in the green waters and the blue sky is absolutely gorgeous. The landscape looked just like a perfect painting, it was so hard to believe what my eyes were looking at! Definitely must visit when in Uyuni!!!

Laguna Verde is a beautiful natural beauty near Chile border in Bolivia. It is one of the best views on the Salar de Uyuni road.

I think the lake is a bit of a 50/50 in terms of the colours you see. When we had seen it, even our guide was amazed by the colour. I would say it's very similar to the colours of Laguna 69 (although, maybe slightly less spectacular). Still, loved the view!!!!

So the trip from san pedro and finish in uyuni starts after bordercrosing here. And it's amazing... all those lagunas and wildlife was just stuning .... Be awere before high altitude sicknes.... Few of our frinds where pretty out from that high altitude....
