This was my first time trying Lahmacun, and it was a very unpleasant experience from start to finish. I went in for a simple falafel wrap, and as usual, they immediately asked for cash first — it really seems to be their habit, and it makes the whole payment process feel awkward and unwelcoming. The staff’s attitude didn’t help either; they came across as grumpy and dismissive, which made me feel like customers aren’t important to them.
Before eating there I felt completely fine, but about 20–30 minutes after leaving, I went from feeling perfectly well to suddenly experiencing severe abdominal pain and diarrhoea. It got so bad that I ended up going to the emergency department to be checked. It was genuinely frightening and extremely unpleasant.
The food itself didn’t give me any confidence. The vegetables seemed far from fresh, and the wrap bread felt undercooked with flour still sticking to it. From the first bite, it didn’t feel properly prepared.
Afterwards, I also read some of their replies to criticism on other reviews, and those responses only reinforced my impression that customer care isn’t a priority for them. One reply in particular, telling someone they should have “told us if you were man enough,” really confirmed the attitude I felt in the shop.
They are busy considering takeaway orders and completely neglecting hygiene and customers in the shop with very loud noise in the shop.
Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this place at all.
