I honestly came here by accident after walking around Petaling Street. I saw a long queue and a Michelin sign, so I thought, why not give it a try and joined the line. Unfortunately, many menu items were already sold out, but I still wanted to try what was available. In my opinion, the highlight was definitely the prawns and the noodle broth. The noodles themselves were pretty standard, but the broth was rich and flavorful, and the prawns were big and fresh. The queue was quite long though, almost an hour. The price is on the higher side, but the portion is generous and the prawns are large, so it feels somewhat justified. The service was good as well. The waitress informed us from the beginning that the food would take some time to be served, so we didn’t expect it to arrive quickly. That was a good move and helped manage expectations. The portion is suitable for sharing. Would I come back? Maybe.. but I would probably share with someone next time since it’s quite pricey.

Lai Foong Lala Noodles in KL is honestly a must-visit if you love flavorful noodles! I normally hate bee hoon because it’s always tasteless and too thin, but this is the only place I actually love it. The bee hoon soaks up all that rich, umami broth and is cooked perfectly springy and yum. The soup version is a must! The broth is rich, deep, and has a lovely fragrant touch from the cooking alcohol. Don’t sleep on the dry version either! It looks simple but packs so much flavor. The lala is fresh and sweet, adding the perfect seafood touch to the dish. We also tried the claypot garlic vermicelli on the recommendation of a friendly stranger next to us and OMG it was a flavor bomb! If you love garlic, you HAVE to try this. This is definitely a place I’ll always bring people when we visit KL. In fact, the friends I brought enjoyed it so much they begged to come back the next day! 😋✨

Ordered the signature lala noodle and it was delicious. The soup was good with umami taste. You can also taste the lala in the soup. Noodle itself was okay (there is only bihun, no other choice). The lala itself were quite small. Could be better if they were more meaty. Services were good. It is usually very crowded but they have proper queuing with staff making sure of it. Prices were above average.

I have to say that the best noodles I’ve ever tried were at this place. They were incredibly tasty. The restaurant itself is very simple and basic, nothing fancy, but the food is truly excellent. If you’re looking for a place focused on great flavor rather than a fancy setting, I definitely recommend it. It’s perfect for an easy lunch or a casual dinner where the main highlight is the delicious noodles.

If you are a “la-la” or clam person, this is a must visit. They have all kinds of “la-la” dishes, Claypot, fried, soup noddles and fried rice. They also have other dishes like the large prawn fried noodles and more. But the unique value proposition is “la-la.” I went for the Claypot garlic la-la glass noodles. Believe me no skimming on the garlic or la-la. You are forewarned, it is really garlicky.

Absolutely loved this place! The food here is truly special — every dish has such an amazing combination of flavors that you can tell a lot of thought and creativity goes into the recipes. A true gastronomic delight. The ambience of the restaurant is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a great meal. The service was also excellent — friendly, attentive, and quick without feeling rushed. And the best part? The price range is very reasonable for the quality and experience you get. Definitely worth visiting!

Arrived for late lunch and not a long wait. Service was good with an organised queuing system. The portion size was quite generous. Clam noodles soup was flavoursome and not too spicy. We really loved it! The Fish cake was to die for!!! It was still warm and bouncy!! It was a good experience considering not a long queue and food was delicious.
