Passionate and greedy for local and unadulterated dairy products I was a bit disappointed in the products I was consuming and the waste I was creating in the form of empty plastic bottles and cups from milk and yogurt, until I discovered this address! Quelle belle découverte!!!!
What I love about this shop :
1) They sell milk and yogurt in glass bottles and pots respectively, win-win for me!
2) The milk both raw and pasteurized , yogurts both cow-milk and goat-milk , local cheese -are fresh and unadulterated and thus amazing taste is guaranteed. Their yogurts remind me of my childhood - my mum used to make yogurt at home.
3) The staff is really nice. They pay attention to each customer (a rather rarity in Paris, sorry to say ). During my first visit I had a lot of questions about their products and one of the staff- member was patient to answer all of them before helping me choose the products.
Other Info:
A) I had to pay for the yogurt jar and milk bottle in my first purchase which I did not mind because the cost was adjusted in my next purchases when I returned the the empty bottles and jar.
B) Though some people have complained about the prices in the comments I do not think the prices are exorbitant considering the freshness of the products and the almost zero ecological waste one produces in consuming the products. If you are worried about paying the cost of the glass bottle and jars your first purchase don't worry because one can use them in the pantry or the fridge.
C) They have fruit flavored yogurts too which I have not tried yet and plan to try in my next visit.
D) For raw milk: Tuesdays and Thursdays
E) Nearest metro station : Marcadet Poissonniers Line12
This little shop is the answer to my prayers! Bravo and good luck to the founder and the team of La Laiterie de Paris.
