Last night a group of thirteen neighbors and I traveled to Lake Aire Supper Club for dinner. Kathy, the owner was so welcoming we felt like we were invited into someone's home fort dinner. Kelly our waitress gave us excellent service and could not have been more gracious or kind. Our food came out together, hot and beautifully presented. The food and drinks were delicious!! We all were very satisfied and saved room for dessert. Chocolate lovers will really enjoy the seven layer chocolate cake! We will all be back!! It was a great evening.

The food was good but we were given dessert options orally. We picked one slice of turtle cheesecake. We were charged $15 for one slice! We felt that was way overpriced.

Casual fine dining is a perfect way to describe Lake Aire. The food is always great but what really sets it apart is the exceptional service.

Me and my better half came here for New Year's Day brunch. I have never been here before so this was my first time. The ambience was excellent the food was really good the waitress you couldn't beat the bathrooms were clean and well-kept and it was nice and warm as far as temperature goes. I've had friends that went here and weren't really happy but I thought I would give it a chance. Am I glad I went ,you bet I am and I would return there!

I've never had a bad meal here. The staff are attentive and the hosts friendly. The food is always cooked to perfection. Also, we had our wedding reception here, which worked very well.

I'm from England visiting family in Rapids for Christmas and we had dinner here tonight as a birthday celebration for my father in law - it was quite honestly the best food I've ever had! I had the clam chowder and chicken Alfredo, both of which were amazing, and having tried a few bits of my husband's meal can say the blue cheese steak was equally good! Beyond that though, our waitress Tina was fabulous. She was attentive but not overly hovering, and very friendly. They were also very accommodating of my very fussy 6 year old and helped sort the baby in his high chair when I couldn't figure it out. All in all, highly recommend and I'll be back next time I'm in town!

My wife and I had reservations to the Lake Aire Supper Club. We were pleasantly surprised by the roominess of the restaurant compared to the outside view. We love to visit supper clubs and the Lake Aire rates pretty high for the quality of the Mel served and the friendliness of the staff. We were immediately seated and were greeted by our server “Molly” who was attentive and very nice. My wife ordered a Moscato after debating on this or a Pinot Rose. Molly actually brought her a sample of the Pinot beforehand just to see if she would like it. That is a quality server! I had a Bloody Mary and it was very tasty. Our orders consisted of the Stacker Filet with twice baked potato and green beans with a salad with ranch and an order of Eye of Ribeye with baked potato and green beans and a salad with balsamic dressing. Both steaks had great flavor with perfect seasoning, the potatoes were cooked perfectly with my baked being salted and the green beans were crisp tender and very good. Our salads had great flavor and were prepared very well. Molly came around often to offer water, ask if our needs were met and to pick up any dishes. Dessert was a 7 layer cake with homemade creme and a very flavorful grasshopper. I can not complain on anything served or the staff or the supper club decor. Very comfortable restaurant that fulfills a niche in the Wisconsin food scene. Great job!

Yelp
Wow! Once again blown away. Sand Valley is ok, but if you want a true Wisconsin supper club experience, you need to go to Lake Aire. From the ownership, to the service, and to the kitchen...the experience was awesome. We will be back every year!! Absolutely awesome dining opportunity!!!

Yelp
Great server and the ambience is great inside the restaurant. I got the special which was a rib eye and a special sauce and my wife got the full chicken and it was very good. She even shared some with me and it was fantastic and the carrots tasted like candy they kinda make me want to eat them for dessert muh ha ha ha ha

Yelp
We dined on New Year's Eve. The food was good. The back room was full but did not seem excessively noisy. Service was good, they were definitely busy. I might try again on a not so busy night.

Yelp
The ambiance was great, a very nice supper club atmosphere. The bar had good brandy old fashioneds and the bartenders were friendly. That was where the good vibe ended. Despite the "Immediate Seating" sign, we waited an hour for a table. The food fell far short of expectations, especially given the high prices. The $14 artichoke dip appetizer had inedible parts of the leaves in it. My lobster Mac and cheese was very bland just a plain Mac & Cheese with lobster but no real flavor. My husband tried the steak sandwich and found it a small piece of inedible shoe leather.

Yelp
The only ambiance is in the bar area (restaurant is a cafeteria atmosphere), but the last two times we were there they did not allow ordering food in the bar area (even though they were at best 25% full). The food is just average especially for their price point.

Yelp
Ambiance excellent for dining. Nice lighting, spacey, elegant. Service, excellent. Our server Darcy was great. Keeping your salad fork for the entree was a bit tacky from what I am used to, but everything else was fine. I took some of my family here for dinner since my brother from out of town was visiting. I was pleasantly surprised to discover they take reservations, so we were seated promptly. My son and brother ordered exactly the same entree, delmonico steak. First, I want to say that I usually order my steak rare because most restaurants overcook the medium rare to medium. I took a chance and ordered it medium rare. It was perfect! It tasted wonderful. My son and brother agreed, and we sent our compliments to the chef. The chopped salad was really good, though I could see some thinking too much dressing, but for me it was great. The twice baked potato was good, but I have had better. The old fashioned were also great. I have read some mixed reviews here, but I can only comment on our experience, which was g Excellent. The prices were a bit high, but I am guessing every restaurant is high. My 13 ounce delmonico was $42, and the salad was ala cart.

Yelp
Quiet dining ambiance, food was good-not great. Service okay. Went for a supper club experience - didn't have supper club vibe.

Yelp
Staff friendly, service good, typical supper club atmosphere, food decent. Worked for us on a Friday night.

Yelp
Great prime rib! Really enjoyed the entire experience.,,very friendly and attentive staff. The owner checked to make sure we were happy with our food.

Yelp
Yum! Yum! Yum! Starting with the liver pate was a great choice! Boston Clam chowder perfectly seasoned and not too thick or thin... "it was juuust right". Delmonico steak medium rare with a lobster tail was delicious! Steak was huge! Monica (believe that was her name) was wonderful!! Amazing service!!!!Thank you for making my solo dinner fantastic and a real treat!

Yelp
We finally got our out of town guest here to sample their fabulous Sunday brunch. Too say it is incredible is an under statement. A complete buffet with just about anything you could imagine. Upon entering the dining area, you are greeted by the salad and desert tables. Incredible just doesn't describe it. Then, you enter the main dining room where the huge buffet table is set up. One trip just does not get a taste of everything, it takes at least two trips!! All the while you are dining, your water and or drinks are kept filled as you like. And soft, appropriate music is playing in the background. Truely a dining experience to rave about!! We have been here many times and love to bring out of town guests for a memorable meal.

Yelp
Great place!! Excellent food! Wait staff so friendly and answers all questions!! I would highly recommend Lake Aire

Yelp
I have not been here since I lived up here as a kid and it was called Ebbes. I had good memories and hoped it was still the same. We rolled into town Friday night at 7 for 730 reservations. We sat at the bar while we waited for our party to arrive. The service at the bar was decent, but then we went to the back. When we got there the lady acted like it was going to be a full house and could only have our table reserved. No big deal but we later saw people must just come to drink, because the dining room was empty. We arrive at our table and it's half wet where the water girl missed the cup but thought since there was nobody there to see it why fix it? Regardless this seemed to be a confusing time for them as to where to put our party of 7 one of those being in a high chair. So I suggested we just adjust the chairs so nobody has the wet portion and we place the high chair in front of the water spot. Well we ordered a couple appetizers and a round of drinks. 15 minutes later apps come out, no drinks. Said to our trusty waitress any update on the drinks? Oh yeah they are almost done.... Yeah ok you forgot but whatever it happens go get it figured out. She then takes our order. 15 minutes later salad and soup comes out. Still no drinks and no "self proclaimed world famous bread". 5 minutes later here come those store bought buns but no butter and no drinks. So I walk up to the bar myself to find 3 people there now. Amazingly our drinks finally arrived. My mom had to chase down another waitress because she didn't recall giving a temp for her steak so the trusty waitress was just going to assume. All this back and forth not one empty plate was removed. Our table looked like a bomb went off and out comes the food and she has no clue where to start. Well let's help this girl out by suggesting to remove some plates. Food arrived and it was ok. Nothing I could say was just outstanding but it was finally the endpoint to this nightmare. I didn't finish my steak and just wanted the bill to leave and realize why I always drive by this place when in town. I probably could have made this review short and sweet by saying poor service and average food but you really have to read the story to understand my pictures. 1star for the bar service when we arrived and one for the food that came out as ordered. Sorry but will not return.

Yelp
I ordered the delmonico. It was literally the worst steak I have ever had. Imagine the most grisly cut of beef possible...and then multiply by two. This may sound like hyperbole, but it's no exaggeration. The chef knew full well he was cooking something that was barely fit for human consumption. What is with that? That is the part that gets me the worst. It was a conscious decision on his part and completely avoidable. No caring for the customer if you can do that. I really wanted to enjoy my meal, there is shortage of nice restaurants in the Rapids area. Please have the cook get his act together.

Yelp
Wisconsin supper club, through and through! Creaky floors. Low ceilings. Grandma's dining room decor. Horrible muzak. Small, but good menu. Very friendly and attentive staff. You go for the supper club experience, not for the big city steakhouse experience :) I "upgraded" to the craisin walnut salad. It had a tad too much dressing, but was still very nice. For dinner I had the "petite stacker", which is a small fillet with an onion haystack on it, and a baked potato (perfectly oven baked with sea salt sprinkled on it). Reasonable portions and value for the money. I'll definitely visit again.

Yelp
The thing I will miss the most, about my move to the Dells, is that this restaurant, is just too far away, to visit, on a regular basis. It is pricy...but worth every penny. From my first visit, the ownership welcomed us, and made us feel as though we were members of their family. Cathy could not have been more gracious. At least twice a month, we visited our favorite Rapids restaurant. Though I have sampled every item on their menu...I kept returning to the Saturday night special...Prime Rib. A call to the restaurant, in the afternoon, would guarantee, that an "outside cut," would be reserved, in my name. Pretty cool, eh! The fried chicken, and their succulent Ribs, were also favorites. They have a dessert wagon, that you can select from. Frankly...I am usually full, so I opt for an Ammerita, straight up, for my dessert. Lake Aire is one in a million. We will miss you guys...Glen B.

Yelp
Two weeks ago we had our rehearsal dinner here. Wow! We had a group of about 35 people and had dinner served family style. After our salad and dinner rolls, there was a little bit of a wait until we were served the main courses, but it gave us all a chance to enjoy our cocktails and chat a bit. The wait was definitely worth it! We chose the beef tips & noodles, the fried & baked cod, green beans, candied carrots, and roasted baby red potatoes. Everything was amazing! The wait staff and bartenders were polite and charming, the food delicious, the cocktails were tasty and well priced. We will definitely be back whenever we visit the area!

Yelp
Food is good. If your order is takeout, check to make sure you receive all your food. We've taken out a few times already and didn't receive the whole order.

Yelp
Great food and service! I would recommend their prime rib and their garlic encrusted porterhouse special!

Yelp
Went here with a group of 30 (with a reservation) and the staff were incredible. They were very attentive. Our waters / beverages were always full and the food came out hot and on time. The serving sizes were on point and everything tasted great. The place was also decorated nicely and was super clean and tidy! We were happy with our experience.

Yelp
10/28/17: Went to Lake Aire for the first time with a group of six, all of us were first timers. Just by chance I did have a gift certificate. Started at the bar for a drink and found the bartender Kim to be quite knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic, and full of energy. The drinks were tasty! Once at dinner we had a very nice waitress named Molly. Four of us had the prime rib which all agreed was very good! My wife had the filet mignon "stacker" of which I tasted and "Wow" it was better than my prime rib! The fourth entree was the ribs which were fall of the bone! Lake Aire just earned six more future customers.. To finish the night we went back to the bar where Kim made Old Fashions and Ice Cream drinks, kind of time consuming for a bartender, but she was more than happy to do it. I will be sure to recommend to anyone looking for a place to eat in the Wisconsin Rapids area!

Yelp
Went in expecting amazing quality food because if your paying $30 for a steak I would expect it to be mouth watering...that fell short! Big time! Not to mention I wasn't done with my food took my daughter to the restroom and came back to my good gone!

Yelp
We had HORRIBLE service here. Waited for 45 minutes for a table, then after we were seated we were told SEVERAL times that our food would be right out. After over an hour we expressed our irritation and were again told our food would be right out. We were only offered one free drink, I was pregnant and was not at all interested in a free drink! I will never go there again!

Carol P.

Yelp
Went for Mothers day brunch...should have picked different spot. Lots of the item were gone and not replaced. Over priced due to holiday. I could have left overs elsewhere we will not be back!! Whole family was disappointed!!!

Yelp
This is our goto place for good food and good service. It's large so we've never had an issue getting seated quickly. We also have come in with our extended family which made a large crowd and were given our own section to sit which was greatly appreciated - especially with the little kids. We've always had good food (although my wife did have a very boney fish entre once). The home made soups and salad dressings are amazing. I've loved everything I've had here. The kids are always happy as well. It's very nice for a family or a romantic night out together. They do a great job being kid-friendly and are always happy to see you. Some complain it's on the higher priced side but I think it's worth it and a great value. The portions are large and the food quality very good. I love the fish fry and the steaks.

Yelp
I have never had a bad meal there after dozens of visits. I have had also many excellent meals. Surf and turf is excellent.

Yelp
On way back from North Woods, detoured to Wis Rapids areas for a stormy overnight and supper club dinner. Of the 3 in general area, decided to try Lake Aire, this was a Friday night (no prime rib but they offered a fish fry - 3 varieties). We however opted for the seafood platter and delmonico steak with a special appetizer shashito peppers. The peppers were perfectly roasted, unusual, some hot and some slightly sweet. Unusual but tasty and nice portion. The delmonico steak was perfectly cooked as requested. The garlic mash were pretty presented but cold on plate. The risotto was with the seafood plate was creamy, warm and very good. However, the plate consisted of broiled (as requested) scallops, Alaska king crab, lobster, and shrimp. All the seafood was cold (except for lobster) and under cooked. The shrimp were described by server as jumbo and portion of 3 but were 2 and medium size (so small you could not see them on your plate). The scallops were tasty but not quite broiled well (hence cold). However, the lobster was sweet, warm, delicious and moist. The king crab leg was dried out, cold, and under broiled as well. So the experience was mixed. Room atmosphere is mid-70's look but clean and pleasant. Server was very courteous but not too knowlegeable about the menu, cooking, or presentation. Nevertheless we enjoyed the meal and would try it again. The cocktails were perfectly done. We were there right after opening and the kitchen might not have "warmed up" enough to explain the cold meal items. Next time though we will make a note of the past issues to avoid a cold plate.

Barry G.

Yelp
Are there last week. House Cabernet is $12 which is high given the quality of the wine. Suggest you ask about prices before you order. Service good. Salad very plain, your typical iceberg lettuce. Some parts of the meal were good. Other parts seemed prepared with inexpensive ingredients. Overall good for rapids, average for other locals.

Yelp
I made my first trip to Lake Aire for their Sunday Brunch buffet. They had an amazing spread of food beginning with a massive selection of premium items on their salad bar/hour d'eouvres tables. The main course featured a few traditional breakfast items in addition to a fabulous selection of other high-quality, meats such as carved turkey, broasted chicken, shrimp, and meatballs, and all the trimmings such as stuffing and an exceptionally tasty macaroni & cheese. Though I was able to satisfy my appetite by filling my plate with this great selection, the chef was also willing to serve custom orders of roast beef, carved ham, waffles, and omelets. The dessert spread was certainly worth the visit by itself, which included several pastries, pies, cheesecakes, and other items. The quaint, quiet atmosphere was delightful and the serving staff was amazing as well. Highly recommended!
