The 12 Best Wineries Near Lake Chelan

"When you need a break from wine tasting, grab a pint of craft beer at Lake Chelan Brewery. Everything they pour is brewed in-house, using the clear waters of glacier-fed Lake Chelan. The Manson Beach Blonde, a refreshing wheat beer, takes the edge off the dry Chelan heat. Consider staying for lunch or dinner, where you can pair some fish tacos or a southwest caesar with a beer.  " - emily burks, carlo mantuano

Oh my gosh! The food was spectacular! I got the prime rib dip, and my wife got the mushroom swiss burger. The aioli sauce on the burger really set it apart! The onion rings were perfect too. Beer batter dipped, nice and thick, and perfectly crispy.

Came in and was able to get a table for 4 right away. Got our drink and food order taken fairly quickly. Food came out super fast, and it was all good. Beers were ok, not a huge selection. They did have a huckleberry hard seltzer on tap. Cool place to check out.

Stopped in for a snack and decided on their nachos. We almost changed our minds because they are made with homemade potato chips rather than corn chips. However, we decided to be adventurous when the server said how addicting they were. She was correct... they were delicious. It was a good-sized plate (we ate almost half before I remembered to take a pic), but if there had been more, we would have kept eating... and eating. They were addicting. After finishing the nachos, we decided to stick with the healthy food and shared a slice of the Chocolate Chip Milk Cake... with ice cream added. It was YUMMMMY. We will be back again.

Great spot right on the Manson strip. Food was good, beer was good, and so was the service. Good place to watch a game and have a drink. Indoor and outback patio seating. They also offer flights if you want to try multiple beers.

Google
Food was a 4, but the service brought my rating down. I had high expectations as the menu looked good and there were a lot of people inside. I was seated fairly quickly and brought water, however waited approximately an hour to have my order taken. A group of 6 came in after me and somehow had orders taken and food on the table before my order was taken. I ordered the Manson Burger, which was a 1/3 pound burger with BBQ sauce, pepper jack cheese, jalapeños and an onion ring. I also had onion rings as the side. It was really good! The coconut shrimp appetizer was excellent! I was impressed with the size of the shrimp. The staff was friendly, and there was a hiring sign out front. Hopefully it was just the staffing shortage causing the issues.

Ordered the brew-chip nachos and side of fries to share amongst four people and it was plenty! The fries are truly unique! The Glacier Infused IPA is good, but on the bitter side. My wife liked the beer and we ordered four cans to-go, which were canned on the spot!

Cool little place. Great french fries, hand cut in house with a special crunchy finish. Really super good! Rueben sandwich and bacon cheeseburger deluxe.

A large group of friends and I are from Spokane and went on an extended weekend getaway to Manson/Chelan. We wanted something to drink and a few appetizers. Decided to try Lake Chelan Brewery. The in-house brewed beers were exceptional to say the least, we had flights and tried every one. As far as the food goes, we tried the Zucchini Fries, Pulled Pork Poutine, and Beer-30 Nachos w/chicken. All of them were 10/10 but I ESPECIALLY recommend the Fried Zucchini. Hands down, the best I've had in my life. Please give this place a shot. The customer service was great and it was busy, too! Also, the food and drinks came out quicker than expected. Great experience.

Yelp
Great menu selection, neat atmosphere and great food. Prime rib *****husband was impressed. Delicious Clam chowder **** tasty Chicken Alfredo **** looked good, friend says it's his go to. Fish and chips **** lots breading on fish, but large portions. We come here every time in town. Great place to meet up with friends.

Yelp
We had a large group (9 people) feeling very hungry around 2:30 after wine tasting, and we called and they were able to accommodate us and save us a table at 3pm. When we arrived, we were surprised to see that it was actually pretty busy and full! So very glad we called ahead. We ordered beers and wines, a few apps, and entrees. Didn't get everyone's take on their food but a few things I tried/heard: Zucchini fries - hot and fresh! And a huge serving! Pulled pork poutine - I didn't try any of the pork, but the fries with cheese curds and gravy were yummy. They definitely have unique fries here, not quite sure how to describe them but they are almost like a starchier yet sturdy fry. Reuben sandwich - good rye flavor, pretty decent Reuben. The coleslaw was a bit warm and not too appetizing (maybe it was warmed up from the plate which was hot?) Southwest Caesar salad - the dressing was surprisingly spicy! Tasted like it had jalapeño blended in. Very unique and unexpected flavor for a Caesar. Fish tacos - I ordered fried (they offered grilled or fried), and chose onion rings as my side (there were a few side options you could choose from). You get two large tacos with big pieces of fish. The flour tortilla was the least impressive part, thick and a little spongy like cheap grocery store flour tortillas. The mango salsa is a little sweet, would have liked some lime or something to bring a little tartness/acid to it, but overall I was impressed with the tacos. Onion rings were nice and sweet. Overall, the food here is a good value. Some of the guys bought growlers to go. It feels more like a restaurant than a brewery though.

Yelp
This place is awesome! Great food, drinks, and service! Also a nice outdoor seating area where you can bring your dogs. Nothing but good times, and good vibes at Lake Chelan Brewery! PS... Get the garlic mayo with your fries, chips, and onion rings!! SO GOOD!!!

Yelp
Super fun! We went for a weekend trip to celebrate us! It unfortunately smoked out that weekend due to wildfires but the brewery was fun! Great selection, super cute place to visit and grab a flight. We also were able to sit outside before it got gross!

Yelp
Do not count my review unless you are eating only ice-cream. I had just brownie and vanilla ice-cream. The brownie is freshly made. So warm brownie + ice cream is a nice combo. The ice cream was good. The brownie was little burnt. Nothing great, nothing bad except the burnt part. Quantity is good for a desert. The staff is nice. The place is noisy.

Yelp
This place is awesome! Friendly staff. We were quickly seated and enjoyed reading the messages on the bricks. There were so many dinner options it was hard to choose but I landed on the coconut shrimp with zucchini and rice. So delicious!!! My friend ordered the zucchini fries and pulled pork sandwich. she said "best pulled pork sandwhich I've ever had!" And those zucchini fries were so delicious!!!!! Must visit!

Yelp
We've been here a lot, especially recently, and I'm surprised I haven't written a review. The little hamlet of Manson offers some nice little bars, grills, restaurants, and occasional food trucks, but few are consistently open and consistently great. The service is stellar, the food is your typical bar fare with some unique specials, and the there's a pretty good dejection offer beers on tap including rotating taps. Parking can be a little tight during the high dragon summer months, and you may experience a little wait to be seated. It's a fairly small space, with indoor and outdoor seating, but not a good choice for groups over 6-8 people. Regardless of the wait to be seated, you'll more than likely be greeted right away, and once seated you'll get served pretty quick and won't wait long to eat, even on the busiest of days.

Yelp
Great food, beer, and service! Open for lunch and dinner. The fish and chips are awesome!

Yelp
Thank you for providing us a great meal and as always great service. We came in late, but you still gave us the friendly treatment that brings us back. Thank you and we will see you soon.

Yelp
food is OK. Service is pretty decent, not much to choose from in Manson anymore. Nothing great, but also nothing horrible. I would come here again.

Yelp
People are nice but food is garbage. And it's overpriced. The picture is my $25 coconut shrimp platter. 5 shrimps. And over-garlic'ed inedible mashed potatoes.

Yelp
The loaded "Manson burger" with veggie patty and signature blonde light and crispy onion rings on the side ... mmmmmmm, yum yum yummy!! It was all hot and fresh and perfect! Seriously really delicious!!!

Yelp
Well our server was A+. Just loved her. One of the only places open in Manson for dinner, but we had a party of 7 and we're happy to wait a bit. Sadly, they not only don't take reservations but you cannot even leave your name on a waiting list! Cannot leave your cell number either. We ended up sitting outside in a partially shaded but still very warm spot. No misters or fans. Between us all we had burgers, pulled pork, beer, pasta, salads. I had the full Caesar with salmon and must say I was very surprised by how below average it was. Overall the family said the fries were good but that the food was very average. The excellence of our service really improved the experience but the food was disappointing.

Yelp
We came to Chelan over the 4th of July weekend. My wife and I were on a 3 day mountain biking trip for the holiday. The weather was so hot!!! So naturally after biking we looked for the closest brewery to get a fresh cold beer. Lake Chelan brewing was the first place to pop up and of course we wanted to try the official Brewery of Chelan. There was no wait time and we were seated right away. The waitress was very nice and had a good personality. She brought us 2 waters and gave us plenty of time to review the menu without rushing us. I ordered a Glacier IPA as shown in the photo and my wife ordered a Red Ale. The beers were delicious both in their own way. After a few sips we looked around and noticed the food was smelling good and looked amazing. We decided to order the ground beef nachos because it mentioned they have beer battered chips. The nachos came out looking fresh and we couldn't wait to dive into them. The chips were great, the ground beef was yummy. It also includes some other toppings like avocado, jalapeños, sour cream. The one thing I would recommend to the brewery is to add some more cheese on top of everything. Most the ingredients fell off the nachos but that is just a minor thing. Overall the brewery was a great experience and I would recommend it! Covid laws here in Washington has recently opened up again so expect the environment operating as normal. -Colter

Yelp
Seating options include tables in the front, at the bar in the middle and on a patio in the back. Beer menu just had names and beer styles. I like a bit more info like IBUs and ABVs. Beer was to our liking and the two IPAs were different enough to show brewing talent. Menu was a couple of steps above your typical bar food although much was your typical deep fried or burger. Onion rings were awesome, melt in your mouth. All in all, food came out hot and was decent.

Yelp
Good food, nice service, great beer! We sat outside and it was summer but it wasn't terribly warm. The beers we got all tasted great. It's located in a walkable part of town.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent onion rings and zucchini fries, and tater tots that would make Napoleon Dynamite salivate. Beer was great, service timely. What more can you ask from a brewery?

Yelp
There are two breweries (at least the time that we went) in the Lake Chelan area. Lake Chelan Brewing Company was the brewery that we enjoyed most. Despite the name Lake Chelan Brewing Company the brewery is not located in the town of Lake Chelan but in the town of Manson. But the town and the brewery are right by the lake, Lake Chelan so it still makes sense. When we went to this brewery we got two of their beers. Both in which we really enjoyed. We ordered the Manson Beach Blonde which had a great flavor to it as well as the Ogopogo Pale Ale. I really love Mexican lagers and Lake Chelan Brewing does indeed make one, the Cerveza Del Lago Lager but alas when asked to see if it was on tap they were all sold out of it. Too bad, I guess that just warrants a return trip back to the area and another visit to this brewery to see if they have it on tap next time!

Yelp
Cute little place. Friday afternoon about 2:30pm. Guy inside tells us 10 minute wait. So we sit and wait about 9 minutes. No wait list and no one else waiting. Another group comes in and they are quoted 20 minutes so they leave. I even went up to bar and asked young lady if I could order drink while we wait. She says we can't. After all that another couple walks in and states maybe they should order 6 pack to go. They had obviously not walk through the door before us. Sure enough they are taken to a table by the young lady. We leave.

Yelp
FYI: If you're here during the week, double check their hours. They are limited hours during the week. One of our party who suggested coming here had an absolute meltdown on a Thursday at 2 in the afternoon because they weren't open until 3:30. We convinced them (after checking their hours) to come back Friday afternoon. The patio was closed because they were doing some work so seating was limited, only about 32 seats between all the tables and bar. They're also short staffed. You had one gentlemen and a young lady running food, beers, and seating people constantly so service seemed slow but there wasn't an empty seat in there so they were doing the best they could with what they had. It took a while to get a second round but we weren't in any real hurry anyhow. We ordered zucchini fries, a Cuban sandwich, and two fish and chips. Plus 2 beers a person. Total was $120 (with tip). Zucchini fries were good and crispy. They came with ranch. They tasted a little burnt almost but they were super good and a nice treat since most of the rest of our stuff came with fries or chips. The Cuban sandwich actually ordered the pub chips which they've perfected to be similar to a kettle-cooked chip. They finished their entire sandwich which is something that isn't common for them. The fish and chips came with two pieces of fish and their house fries and slaw, a slice of lemon, and tarter. The fish was good and crispy, cooked tender and not chewy but not so hot that you were going to scald your mouth on it. Some lemon juice helps make the coleslaw palatable but that's pretty common IMO, I'm not a coleslaw person. We each had a Manson blonde. It's a wheat ale so it's a bit more hoppy than a traditional blonde. Everyone ordered that for a second round except one ordered the Mexican lager that's brewed with Fresh lime. It was a lot more of what I think everyone expected the blonde to be. Light and crisp plus a kick of lime from the brewing. Definitely would recommend the Mexican-style lager if you prefer a lighter beer. Overall we'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Friendly, efficient service and good food with delicious brew. Not crazy high prices. The outside courtyard would be fun in a warm day. The TV monitors had the NCAA Final Four game on, so all was right in the world. Will return to have a burger. The Cuban was okay - just not as good as the burgers.
google avatar

Business G.

Yelp
We had lunch here a week ago and everyone in our group enjoyed the food, service and ambience. They had the usual items you'd expect, burgers, sandwiches and salads and also a fun rotating daily special. The beers are great and a nice service staff completes a really good experience. Will go back!

Yelp
Great customer service and nice place to relax. The burgers were tasty so get one with fries. The onion are huge and look delicious, too bad they are flavorless and the coating falls off. The beers are to my liking but they are good. What annoyed me most was the "tip help" at the bottom of the check and it was clearly after taxes.
google avatar

Yelp
Great little spot for dinner. Awesome service & great food/drink! Highly recommend the coconut shrimp!

Yelp
Really nice option to have in Manson. Good food good specials. Good service. Good menu.

Yelp
Loved the food and customer service! I ordered the Pulled Pork Poutine and it was delicious. The pork was tender and juicy, the cheese plentiful and the gravy was yummy. The portion size was absolutely huge! So much food. I think my boyfriend ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sliders (3). Whatever slider he got, he loved them. Said they were juicy and delicious. They have a good selection of beers on tap that are brewed in house. The customer service was great, even with a beer mishap. The carbonation was off on the beer my man ordered and the bartender was great. She "Season" took his beer back without a problem and gave him a new one. They changed out and or fixed the CO2 on the taps and all good beer was restored ;-) The seating and atmosphere is very inviting and comfortable! They have a big selection of vinyl records and play them on record player that sits on the bar. They also have some cool shirts and sweatshirts to buy but in the smaller sizes. There were a few I wanted but didn't buy because there was nothing in my large size. As for the review that mentioned a "tip help." Check all your restaurant receipts, it's most likely there too! We will be back.

Yelp
Pretty good food and really nice people! The fish tacos were really tasty, although they forgot the avocado on one of our's. Everyone enjoyed their food regardless. They were able to accommodate 7 of us outside in the small back patio and moved some umbrellas around to keep the sun off of us.

Kelli D.

Yelp
The service is amazing, beer amazing Food not fresh Fry's were cold and warmed up in a microwave.

Arlan L.

Yelp
One of our favorite places in Manson. Service is always friendly and beer selection is good. They serve a good assortment of pub food. One of our favorites that is no longer on the menu was their chili verde. Hopefully they will bring it back.
google avatar

Yelp
Got take out while staying in nearby AirBNB as we were tired of cooking. Two burgers, two sliders. One burger was completely raw in middle...appetite lost. The others were decent pub fare.

Tony M.

Yelp
Number one, they have excellent customer service even when busy. Good food and plenty of it. Comfortable seating. They do have outdoor seating out the back door.

Terri M.

Yelp
Walked in on Saturday afternoon and we were immediately seated. Ordered few different beers and appetizers. The pulled pork poutine was huge and delicious. The chips, guacamole and salsa was interesting, with homemade potato chips, but surprisingly good. We also a the blackened salmon sandwich, which was very fresh and cooked perfectly, we added a little of the jalapeño Caesar dressing, chefs kiss! Already craving that poutine! Service was great, beer good and cold and food on point.

Yelp
My family and I were craving a burger & beer in the Lake Chelan area. We are not from the area so we yelped "burger" and decided to give Lake Chelan Brewery a try. We ordered Devil's Trail IPAs, a classic burger and an order of their fish taco. Good news-the beer was good. Bad news-the food was bland and a big thumbs down for all of us. The burger was edible but the fries were undercooked/unedible. The fish taco was very bland with no type of sauce and a handful of potato chips. We asked for hot sauce for the fish taco to give it some type of taste. Lake Chelan Brewery is GOOD FOR BEER but NOT recommended for food. I'd suggest going to the Safeway deli in Lake Chelan for food-better food and way cheaper! Pros: Friendly Staff Decor of restaurant cute Air Conditioning Restaurant looked clean Many items to choose from menu Beer was good Con: ***Food is bland*** French Fries were undercooked Overpriced
google avatar

Keri M.

Yelp
Not coming back here. I walked in to place an order, and the guy at the bar seemed distracted as I was telling him my order with specifics. In other words, I told him four times exactly what I wanted and he seemed confused. Maybe he was having a bad day. Received the food. The French fries were the worst fries I have ever had. They were COATED in a crystallized salt. The chicken sandwich tasted like it was frozen, then heated up in the microwave. Maybe they should stick with the beer and skip the food.

Yelp
Update to my post: Drive to Mason just to pick up wine and visit the brewery. They have a Mango IPA that is fantastic. Offering food to go and can fills out of the draft. LCB is a must stop they allow kids as well so stop by eat and drink Din local beer. The staff is also very friendly and I always have great conversations. I had the egg-cellent burger and my wife had the pork sliders, both were really good. The buns are toasted which I personally like better then the soft buns. They are always spinning vinyl records which I think is really top notch, selection is very large for records. Highly recommend trying multiple beers they have 8 brews to try. Nice spot to relax in Mason. Staff was friendly which always make the experience worth while.

Yelp
We visited here during Christmas week with a group of 8 people and left some what underwhelmed. The reviews hadn't been promising of anything too outstanding, but on going we were served some interesting things. The blackened salmon wasn't blackened whatsoever, in fact it was verging on undercooked and didn't nearly have the right amount of seasoning to call it blackened salmon. The zucchini appetiser looked reminiscent of a cooked bag of Safeway frozen apps. Not too tasty and not seeming to be too homemade either. On checking out, the bill was brought to the table, we gave our card and a minute later she came back declaring she'd missed three meals off the list and needed to add them on. An honest mistake, but at least provide me with some sort of reparation for the extra hassle. A free drink perhaps? All in all, we left with full tummies, the local cider served was good, but the customer service and a number of average dishes sadly leaves this one at 3*.

Yelp
We rode out here last night to support a brewery. My husband enjoyed his lime beer. We both ordered sliders. I had salmon sliders that are supposed to be " blackened ". They weren't. Brioche bens were not fresh 'just out of a bag' not even separated or grilled Salmon was nothing great at all. My husband has the three combo. He is easier to please and was hungry . Said his were good. The ambiance was not that great though . Not a cool brewery look at all.

Yelp
oh my. granted: we showed up about 40min before close on 7/3/23. i wish they would've just told us to leave, they didn't want our business. i would've respected that. instead they sat us, stephanie? i believe, our sever, she was trying hard but overwhelmed. and the manager? a guy in a hat just stood by, slowly wiping down trays & the bar top, watching TV.. while our server was DROWNING.. she forgot our drinks, brought us dirty silverware. forgot a salad & was just running around like a chicken w it's head cut off. i went to the bar to get our drinks, napkins, etc. honestly they should've told us to F off before we sat down. the service & experience was brutal. only get a 2nd star cuz our server stephanie seemed apologetic & was trying but getting zero backup from the manager guy, it was shameful.
google avatar

K H.

Yelp
First off. They have wonderful fish tacos. No complaints on food. The service is absolutely horrible. It says "wait to be seated", 3 employees stood behind the bar talking, looked at us when we walked in, kept talking. Not just us! 3 other people walked in, no service so we sat down. Then they chewed us out for not waiting to be seated. They said, "didn't u see our sign!" Yes, didn't u see us walk in? Hello??? We had to go to the counter to get our check because they never came back to our table. Worst service ever. If u can tolerate that food is good.

Yelp
Stopped here for something to eat with our two families and really enjoyed it. Food was good, beer was tasty, and service was good which was really nice for 4 tiny kids with us. I had both of the IPAs which were really good and everyone enjoyed their meals. Recommend for anyone staying in Manson to stop by!

Yelp
We holed up in this little brewery to wait out the storm that was passing thru when we stayed in Manson. Everyone thought the beer was good, I liked the atmosphere too. The service was a little rusty. I think they were unprepared for the influx of people due to the storm, but that said there was still seating available so it wasn't too crazy. The food came out at different times, and they forgot someone's order completely. (They DID adjust the bill accordingly.) The food was just ok, some of the offerings to me were just weird. I thought the poutine would've been delicious, but for me it was anything but. Our friend had the burger and really liked it.

Shannon T.

Yelp
Awesome place! The food is delicious, I can't stop ordering the blackened salmon burger. Our server, Kelly, was super kind and helpful, a great employee. Thanks for a great night!!

Yelp
Was recommended from a winery down street....lord! Gross! If you make a sandwich make it so it can be picked up without completely falling apart. Cheap meat and gross meat. Use real cheese, not Velveeta...seriously gross! Your in wine country, carry wines from the area, horrible selection. The staff, the young man deserves 5 stars. You get it and had great service.

Mona U.

Yelp
Wow! Servers were happy and welcoming! The blackened salmon burger was fantastic, we both had a salad with the meal, everything was fresh and served in a timely manner! The beer was good, served nice and cold! Will definitely return, maybe today for lunch!!

Emily G.

Yelp
Service was terrible. The food was ok, nothing was so great. The server pre-judged us and would not serve us alcohol. We decided to stay for the food even though they were extremely rude. When some of our party arrived later they are granted the same terrible service. We paid our bill and were asked by the manager about our experience. When we expressed our true experience, it was not received well. The other patrons of the place were supportive and also expressed their disappointment in the service. We paid, and then left as soon as possible to give our money to other local establishments that were more appreciative of our business and where we were not treated rudely. Food isn't bad but you could do better in cute local town than this.

Yelp
We're return customers from our last visit to the area two years ago. This time I ordered the Cuban sandwich based on our server's suggestion and IT WAS AMAZING!!! Definitely the best Cuban and possibly the best sandwich I've ever had. The pork was so tender. I'm sad we don't live closer so I can devour this more often.

Yelp
This place is the bomb.com!!! Great beer for one and the Poutine is the best outside of Canada! A must go to!!
