Good, but a few little gripes. Service great. Kamryn excellent server who checked on me regularly. Got the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict. Could have been better. The spinach leaves had long, hard stems. Need to trim those off a bit. Had a couple of egg shells in first bite of poached eggs. Not major, but noticable. Not sure what brand of smoke salmon they are using. But really salty. Need to change their brand. Love a good smoked salmon, but this one was overwhelming in saltiness. Fruit good, fresh and sweet in ripeness. Would come back to try something different. Busy, but was seat within 10 minutes. They need a section for one/two person tables or even a long counter with single seats. Felt guilty taking a whole table for four with so many many groups, families waiting.

Great breakfast - eggs accurately made to order. Eggs and hash browns were not swimming in oil like many others. Service is fast and friendly. Update - came back and split the combo pancake breakfast with my spouse. Didn't ask, but they served it on separate plates! Instead of making us have to cut and shuffle food to another plate. Thank you David (our waiter)!!! Food didn't disappoint! Not greasy at all!

I decided to treat myself with a biscuit and gravy to start. The biscuit was soft and warm so the butter that came with it melted nicely before I topped it with the sausage gravy. There was sausage in the gravy but it was really mild flavoured. I had the Lox N Toast as my main. It was served as 2 whole grain pieces of toast with a layer of smashed avocado, topped with a good portion of lox, 2 sunny side eggs, and a few capers. It came with a cup of mixed fresh fruit so was filling. Service was professional and friendly so overall a good lunch and a clean establishment !!

A hidden gem in the shopping strip with great breakfast and brunch options. The service was quick & friendly with a cute interior. We all enjoyed the menu options we selected and the portions were a great size! We will have to come back when running errands in this area again. Clean, quick, and tasty!

Wow great little spot end of unassuming strip center. We stopped for lunch but ended up eating breakfast and was a great choice. My son had the biscuit sandwiches with hasbrowns . Biscuits we buttery, fluffy and grilled , eggs cooked perfectly, hasbrowns were amazing. I had the B.A.T and coffee. First the coffee was fantastic nice gourmet blend lots of flavor and perfectly roasted med-dark. The Bacon Avocado, and Tomoato Benidict was great. Grilled English muffin , fresh ripe tomato and eggs poached perfectly. The hollandaise was a little thick and heavy but passable. Hasbrowns light fluffy and grilled just right. We enjoyed and will return again soon. P.S. Kamyrn was our server and she was amazing!

Awesome nice Breakfast burrito, coffee freaking good. Loved it and I am coming back here for sure..!!! Bathroom was also clean, fresh fruits with nice servers. Good vibe with calm music

Food is delicious Service was great Based on reviews I added Lake Highlands Cafe to my BD Trip Itinerary and glad I did! Mattie, our waitress was very friendly and patient. She made us feel welcomed and that meant a lot to us. I enjoyed EVERYTHING on my plate and so did my guests. Breakfast was a hit!!!

Such a delicious spot with tons of tasty options! I ordered the West Coast Sandwich and it was so flavorful, fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned, and super satisfying. Paired it with their fries and it was the perfect combo. Great vibes, great food, highly recommend trying it out if you’re in the area!

Lake Highlands Cafe is darling, just a perfect neighborhood spot. It's nothing fancy, but it's great for a casual breakfast, brunch, whatever. The prices are reasonable, the service is very nice, and the food is solid. I had an egg plate, which came with plenty of extras, such as a side biscuit, and I added a side of chicken sausage. Again, it's nothing fancy, but it was the perfect diner-esque breakfast.

Lake Highlands Cafe is a good place for breakfast. Their chicken sausage was definitely the show stopper for my breakfast, and the eggs were cooked just right. The staff is friendly, and our waiter was on top of it the whole time we were there. It was a good experience.

This place is so good!! We randomly stopped by post Sam's slub run and were so happy we did. It's a diner but better. Everything we tried was so good - including their mimosas!

Great breakfast menu and some lunch. Service is fast and friendly. Just after noon on a Sunday there was a 10-15 minute wait, but it passed quickly watching the staff clean and turn tables so efficiently. This was my second visit to Lake Highlands Cafe. The food is top notch and the portions are huge! We were so impressed with the authentically poached (not steamed) eggs. I have to add a shout out for the grits too. The Smokey version has cheese and bacon. ..highly recommend!

Great place for breakfast or lunch. The French Connection was just what my husband wanted and they made the hash browns crispy like he ordered. I ordered the Florentine Omelette without cheese and it was tasty with just the right amount of mushrooms, onions and spinach. It comes with fruit or grits and toast or pancakes. ALERT. You have to get the pancakes and pay the up charge for the berries and mascarpone berry topping. How could you not love this. Just look at the picture. The waitress was friendly and refilled our coffee and checked on us a couple of times. She brought the check (pay at the table) and a to go box. The leftovers were just as delicious the next day. The atmosphere is busy and the ceiling is exposed but they put in sound boards which helps. If you come once, you'll be back. Enjoy

I came here with a friend after taking a walk in White Rock. There were lots of parking. There were lots of seatings and the menu had lots of options. I felt healthy so I ordered the avocado toast. It was filling, but I thought the avocado was a bit bland. I thought it could use salt and pepper, but luckily there were some on the table. My friend ordered the gyro wrap. She liked it and it satisfied her craving. The staff seemed friendly and young. They were attentive and we received our food and drinks quickly. We came towards closing time so there weren't many people. Thanks for a great service!

Extensive breakfast/lunch menu with plenty of options. Ordered over the phone and it took ~15 min for an order of 6 items. Service was good and everything ordered was in the bags when we got home. Space inside looked cozy with plenty of seating. I went with the patty melt with onion rings. The patty melt was solid, great rye bread, was just missing some sort of sauce, didn't have any and was lacking. The onion rings were elite, great breading/crunch, fried to perfection. Will definitely be trying this spot again.

Cute little cafe in a strip mall. The people were super nice except the hostess. Ordered chicken pesto panini with fries and the gluten free pancakes with sugar free syrup. All of it was fantastic.

Ordered the west coast with fries. It's my favorite. Great service from staff, we got a take quickly on a Saturday visit Pretty spacious with great ambiance. Worth a stop if you are visit the area.

This place is just generally good. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food here is consistently delicious and they make the specialty coffees just like you like them! I had the avocado toast and it was fantastic, going to try the biscuit sandwiches today. Very cozy and comfortable. Check it out!

Fast friendly attentive service. Clean restaurant Filling breakfast. Large portions. Brightly lit. ( It'll wake you up !) Cold so bring a sweater!

I went here on my birthday. It was cute when I walked in, but more importantly, the two young women at the front greeted me so warmly and sweetly! I went to my table and ordered everything I wanted, it was my birthday so I got a spread! Everything I ordered was so delicious, especially the berry crepes! The latte was regular but still yummy! But even more importantly, my server was so nice and smiled at me and was so helpful and overall, I just had the best birthday breakfast all by myself! Thankyou Lake Highlands Cafe!

A great go to for breakfast or brunch. Madalynn our server no matter how busy is spot on keeping drinks full and checking in. Plus she is friendly. I tried a crepe and smoky grits (carb overload) delicious. Grits have bacon and Gouda. Crepe is light and rich with a slight vanilla sweet taste. Omg my new favorite. Tiki hubby of course CFS breakfast, eggs hot fluffy, gravy thick and creamy, and CFS is crispy coating with tender steak inside. Not one bad bite.

Came to try their Chicken Fried Steak and wow! This is some amazing southern fried food I haven't tried in ages. The chicken was thick and crunchy for every bite that I ate. The gravy had various steak pieces inside which made my tastebuds irresistible. The eggs were cooked well for being scrambled and had a delightful home taste. As for the hash browns they had a good color to make my appetite even more hungrier. I ae the whole meal also i added fruits to the order. The waiter was very fast and attentive and kept bringing coffee. As for the interior of the place, I would say that it was cozy.

My best buddy (my sister in law) her sister (our baby sister) and a couple of other ladies met at Lakehighlands Cafe. I was my normal running late so the ladies had started without me. I ordered and the food came really quickly, was hot and delicious. However, Lakehighlands cafe is rather small for the amount of service the receive. The entire place was a little crowed. But the wait staff was very pleasant, the entire time, and the service received was nice. However, the reason the place was so exceedingly busy, the food was amazing! I had French toast and it was fresh hot and so good. My advice go early AM get a seats with lots of leg room too. If you enjoy people watching get a corner booth. Wonderful place to meet friends and do breakfast before your day takes off on roller skates!

Cafe serving breakfast/brunch/lunch in a strip mall. Stopped in for brunch on Sunday -- lots of folks waiting for tables. Waited about 20 minutes for a table. Standard cafe breakfast and lunch fare. Restaurant is one large dining room, lots of booths and a few tables. Since it's new, everything was nice and clean. Food was all good! Server was nice, food was served fresh and hot. Pancakes were very sweet and tasted like birthday cake, so if you like that, you'll be very pleased! Corned beef hash was tasty -- eggs were nicely done. Nothing stood out, but it was all good. Our only slight was that there were lots of folks waiting and very little sense of urgency from the staff...and there were several tables open but folks weren't being seated. I'm sure there was some kind of method to it, but it can get frustrating seeing open tables and staff not really hustling.

Want a great breakfast at a reasonable cost with super service? Here you go! I can see this spot taking over from some of the big name chains in the area. It is easy to find, easy to get in and out, easy to place an order or to pay, GREAT food, and exceptional service! The decor is very pleasing! The ceiling design dampens the sound so you can converse with those at your table in a reasonable voice. The menu is extensive! I had to compare it with the other breakfast/brunch places, so I ordered the chicken fried steak, eggs, and hash browns with a stack of pancakes. The pancakes were okay, the eggs were good, the hashbrowns were well cooked and the star of the meal was the freshly battered chicken fried steak. It may not be the best chicken fried steak in Dallas, but it is in the top 3!

Wonderful brunch site! Service was impeccable and the food was on point. My favorite is the decor, super welcoming and clean. One of the unique dishes is the chicken friend chicken (Fried Chicken Plate) because instead of just white gravy, they used sausage gravy!!! My hubby was over the moon with that little tweek. I wish the fruit was more ripe, or had more berries, but the cocktails were on point. Def. check out this hot and new family owned brunch spot!

The place is super cute. We were seated right away and didn't wait long for our food either. I got the Buffalo chicken sandwich the portions are huge! The fries are well seasoned and crispy. Pepsi products which was cool! They also have mimosas etc.. drinks for brunch so definitely be back for that and to try some breakfast entrees.

Always delicious and quick. The food is always freshly prepared and seasoned well. We will continue coming back to keep trying more of the menu.

I looked on Yelp for a new Breakfast/Lunch place and my fellow Yelpers did not let me down with this recommendation! The ambiance here was classic diner type decor and atmosphere. Tasteful, but simple and mainly functional. The service was great and everyone here was very friendly and helped each others sections out. I ordered the Country Breakfast, which was two eggs cooked to order, biscuit served open-faced and smothered in sausage gravy, and two sausage patties and two slices of bacon. It was really good, All Of It! My plate was clean after I finished eating!

This is a sweet little place! We were headed to another brunch place in Dallas that we had our eye on only to arrive and find they were closed due to an event. I did a search on yelp and found this spot. It was crowded at the front but our table was available in about 10 minutes! We ordered up a feast as is typical when out with my 3 lovely daughters! Everything was delicious! One of my daughters particularly loved her s'mores French toast! I got a biscuit sandwich and the biscuit melted in my mouth. So good! And the hash browns were cooked just right... diner- style with a crispy top and soft potato in the middle. It's a great atmosphere, diner-like but a bit more trendy decor. Good, standard breakfast with great attention to tables (waters and coffee regularly filled) and well-prepared food. If you are thinking inventive dishes and over-the-top-sauces on your Benedict, that's not this. This is good breakfast food that delivers and definitely fills the criteria for the breakfast-niche. My sister said it hasn't been around long, so if in this Dallas neighborhood, stop in for a tasty brunch or even make it a regular spot! I definitely would if I lived here!

The whole family was very impressed: Delicious breakfast entrees and HUGE portions! Sadly, we didn't take any pictures, but each meal was photo-ready! Our party can vouch for the omelet, country breakfast, French toast, cheeseburger, burrito, and avocado toast!

A Friend of mine ran across this Cafe online. Wow, what a great find. They have an extensive menu & the good is fabulous & at a great price. It's a very clean bright & cheery ambiance. I will definitely go back & I live 2.5 hours away. It's that good!

Service was very good. Coffee was not the best. Florentine Omelette had too much goat cheese and not enough bacon and spinach. Pancakes are good.

I had breakfast here this morning with my girlfriend and wow! The service was great our waiter David was doing a phenomenal job keeping up with tables and seating guests on the busy morning rush. The food was also fantastic and mimosas were exactly what we needed to start the day.

Visited twice, always seated quickly and service is great. Usual modern American diner with a large menu and pretty much anything you could want! I love the breakfast tacos. My partner changes what he ordered every time and eats it all! Docking a star because they won't sub the side of pancakes for waffles..... it's literally the same cost in materials and a la carte on the menu. Does not make sense.

Dallas breakfast has been redeemed! I read about this place on Yelp, and it was very close to our hotel. Sitting was quick and the location is very pretty. Our coffee was excellent, better than the larger chain stores. We ordered the Big Apple bowl and the Egg breakfast. We made special requests and our server got every one of them spot on. This is rare. Refills were quick and plentiful and all of the employees look happy to be at work. The food was hot, fresh and reason nicely seasoned. Portion sizes are excellent , I never even made it to my pancakes. Overall great food. We will be back tomorrow to check on consistency. The decor is also very cute and the music was really nice also.

The place is very well lit, spacious seating with comfortable chairs and booths, Decore..well I find it Great, one side wall has wall climbing figures, the other, more of a mosaic Decoration which is very well Done, gives the atmosphere that comfortable relaxed pleasant feeling. Service was fast, pleasant and left you wanting nothing, they were On Top Of their Game Here, smiles and taking orders for the meal fast and correctly is a Big Bonus in this day and age of hustle and fumble , If I wasn't an old man I'd remember Names.lol. I ordered the Steak and eggs with and extra egg,Hashbrowns,White toast and the berry fruit bowl, My wife ordered the Chicken fried steak with 2 over medium eggs with hashbrowns. The Ribeye steak was cooked to perfection, medium. My eggs were exactly the way I like them ,over easy. The Hashbrowns were expertly Done, crispy out tender inside, I don't usually say anything about toast but I'm wondering if the bread is baked in house, very very tasty. I'm begging for you to try it, you will not be disappointed, Wife said her chicken fried steak was on point ,crispy, fried Golden Brown and was how she said, Beautiful and just about the Best she's had in a long time. Overall a Great Spot for Breakfast with an expertly Done Menu of cuisine, mind you this is gourmet level at a reasonable price. Come one come all, you will feel very welcomed and pleased.

Our first time at LHC. Amazing breakfast! The 3 of us had a hard time deciding what to get. The menu has a lot of great options. 2 of us got the Florentine omelet and the other the Bacardo omelet. They were delicious! The regular pancakes are off the charts. The smoked grits were a hit as well. Overall good price, amazing food and so glad we have this little gem in our neighborhood. Shout out to Nemo for amazing service!

This is without question the best breakfast in Dallas. So many options on the menu and they all have exceeded my wife and I's expectations! Servers are also so attentive and nice, just all around phenomenal people to spend breakfast with. The ambiance is peaceful and relaxing. On top of all of this, the price point is amazing - you get so much GOOD food for the money. One thing you absolutely have to try is Bridget's cappuccino. Easily my favorite cappuccino in DFW!

First and foremost this is how customer service should work! We've been here twice this week and all of the servers, including the ones not waiting on us were observant and ready to help either fill a cup of coffee or take our check. Now for the food...it's pretty good. We've tried the basic breakfast, the bowls and pancakes and I would order it all again. The portions are also generous making it easy to split a meal if you'd like. This is a great breakfast place.

Found this gem on Google but we came here for brunch on Saturday around 10am and got seated within 10mins. They turn tables really fast so the wait should never be too long. We ordered mimosas and they were just okay. The two eggs scrambled with bacon were just average but the smoky grits were super good. The berry bliss pancakes and southwest omelette were also very good. Ambiance was very casual.

I love this hidden gem in the Lake Highlands part of Dallas. Staff is always friendly. Food is always fresh and cooked to perfection! Steak and eggs are my go to! Clean and cozy. I try to visit a couple times a month and always look forward to returning!

I got my food to go. It was ok. I had chicken salad sandwich that had bacon and cranberries. It was interesting. I got fried okra as my side and it was bland. My daughter got French toast and it wasn't all the way cooked through or it was over soaked. She wasn't a fan. I probably won't go back

I came for lunch with co workers. Cute restaurant and a sweet waitress. She was very good and attentive. The fool was great! Me and one co worker got the chicken salad sandwich and I t was as good as the other reviews said. Others at my table got the Buffalo chicken wrap and they loved it as well. I will make this a regular for sure.

My 93-year-old mother and I we're looking for a different lunch place near Greenville Ave and Abrams. Discovered Lake Highlands Cafe on Abrams. The restaurant was light and airy, clean and very appealing! The paninis (Turkey and chicken) we had were really good! The wait staff was very attentive and provided outstanding service. We will definitely return!

The food was amazing. The portion size I felt was very generous for their price point. Their menus options were endless. It's a place you can take the whole family to, even the super picky eaters. There will be something on the menu they will enjoy. Service was great especially since I got there an hour before closing. The server was super attentive and explained the menu to me. The restaurant itself was super cute! I can't wait to go back and try something else on the menu.

I can't believe I've never been here before. I love it. Perfect spot to take my 80'ish yo mom to lunch. She had eggs Benny. I had salad and wrap. Delish. Great service from the wonderful Maddie. And a lovely little bubbly. Mom loved her good strong coffee too.
