I recently visited this boutique after seeing their clothing online, which appeared stylish and promising. However, I was disappointed to find that the store only caters to very petite individuals, with their largest size being a “large” — which runs quite small. As a curvier customer, I immediately felt overlooked by the staff, who focused their attention on thinner shoppers who could fit into their merchandise.
While the clothing itself is fashionable, it is not size inclusive. I tried on two shirts, fully expecting they would not fit, and unfortunately, I was right. When I exited the fitting room, a sales associate asked how it went, and I honestly shared that the items were too small for me. She appeared stunned by my response and walked away without offering any acknowledgment or support. Following that interaction, she continued to behave awkwardly toward me, despite my decision to still purchase a few greeting cards from the store — a decision I now regret due to the poor customer service I experienced.
A simple, empathetic comment acknowledging the lack of inclusive sizing would have gone a long way. Instead, I was met with indifference and even, at one point, laughter from another associate when I mentioned the clothes did not fit.
I cannot recommend this shop. The prices are steep, the service is disappointing, and the atmosphere is unwelcoming to anyone who doesn’t fit their narrow standard of sizing. I encourage others to support businesses that prioritize inclusivity and treat all customers with respect.
