This is a 3.1 easy, paved loop around Lake Phalen. You can see the lake all the way around getting surprises along the way, like the waterfalls. So many wildflowers and two red robins. There's a beach, a kiddie water area, lake rentals, and I saw a sign for free lunches for kids Monday-Friday. It was busy, but plenty of room for everyone and their bikes. Really beautiful!

One of Minnesota’s most beautiful lake. I love visiting this lake even though I live in Minneapolis.

Really cool trail goes all the way around the lake and most places too there's two paths you can take and go up and closer to the lake or on the outer trail. They also have a trail for bikes too. It can get a little crowded sometimes The people for the most part are very respectful. There's a couple of picnic areas and a couple of grills and a playground pretty small but still works. There was the smell of weed quite a few times walking through with cars driving by or people walking by. Overall though great trail it's 3 mi easy paved walk in the lake is always right there especially around when the sun's setting gorgeous views. There's also a golf course across from the park to if you're into golf. If you really like walking it's definitely worth checking out I'll be going back!

I love waking around here. It is certainly one of the most gorgeous lakes in St. Paul. I also love attending the dragon boat festival here held annually around month of July. It’s a superb place to do yoga, meditate or get any sort of workout in. The beach area as well as the picnic areas are clean and well equipped. The golf course here is also absolutely gorge. In peak times during summer the parking maybe an issue so best to plan.

Love this place. It’s a little gem that most people might not know of. Free parking, designated restrooms, picnic area, vollyball area. Really good for running, it has steep uphill and downhill trails too if you want to challenge yourself, otherwise you can take the detour for flat run. My go to place for running :) and good sunset view as well!

Graham O'Brien is so wrong! Photographic PROOF of sharks in Lake Phalen. Also, Lake Phalen is gorgeous. I wouldn't recommend drinking the water though.
