"An event venue within Lake St. Clair Metropark where the couple was married in October 2018; the site is notable in the story for hosting the wedding that followed a last-minute catering emergency the day before the shower, which the pitmaster helped resolve." - Serena Maria Daniels
We were just here last week ( oct.2025) for our mini getaway and we love the place, you really have to pay entrance $10 to get in but once you're in there park is clean and wonderfully beautiful. They have mini beach and walkways and lots of picnic areas and playground for kids. Our first time and my daughter loved the place.

Absolutely fantastic beach area I was blown away. The nature center, nature trail (swampy, lot of bugs though!), beach and activities were simply beautiful, I had a great time and we’ll be back multiple times for sure

What a beautiful park for locals. I took advantage of all the trails and put my feet in the lake. This is a place you can easily spend hours. Nice variety of people. There is a convenience store that sells ice cream, sunscreen, clothing.

I wish It was free but there was a 10 dollar fee. But it was very dirty. Especially close to the water side. Full of moss. Other than that It was great. Me and my husband had an awesome time. Except some people smoking weed and weed smell in the corner. The whole park was pretty clean and friendly.

This place is amazing. I have been to the other metro Parks but this one is by far my favourite. Being on Lake St. Clair is gives me the illusion of being on a ocean. The beach is so big and sandy. There is a lot of space for everyone. I also enjoy the playground for the kids and also the splash pad and pool area. If you are looking for a park this is it! Do be aware that sometimes they do close the beach due to testing the water for e-colei. But most times it's clear.

So peaceful!! Its the end of the season so there's not a lot of people and its so quiet!! Great place to sit and reflect, pray, or just breathe in some fresh air.

I visited on the 5th of July, and staff were doing a great job in cleaning up the mess from the holiday celebration. I was mostly there for sunrise and the birding. I did not get the specific gulls I was looking for, but I managed to spot a few new lifers and some Sandhill cranes that did not seem afraid at all.
The hike around the perimeter of the park is a great walk. It was pretty quiet the entire time.
